EmailReceiver: Attachment Question

I have a workflow setup with EmailReceiver QPAC. Email is received with a PDF attachment. What options should I set to trap that Attachment in a Form Variable? Using EmailReceiver version 7.04. Any help is appreciated.

hmm...something must be happening due to the fact of me emailing to myself from the same computer. sending from my yahoo account had no problems. so it has to be something in our server. so issue is basically solved but i did it before with my older BB (different company, different server)....sigh. so who gets the kudos since i may have helped myself...(no cubs jokes bf)

I've got a question about SOAP Attachment. It is possible to use "Datahandler" class to attach a file. But is it possible to put the datahandler in a business class ( as an attribute of the class), and the business class is a parameter of the service?

I tried making the DataHandler object as a attribute of the parameter object and there were some exceptions. I think weblogic does not allow that.

TextEdit attachment question [to PC users]

I added TextEdit to my mothers Dock on her older iMac that runs Panther. I told her to use it if she wants to type something up quickly. I should have also told her that it is to type something up quickly and then quickly print. I should have further told her if it's something she wants to email, to highlight & copy what she typed and then post it into an email.
Regardless, she used TextEdit to type some text that she wanted PC using people to read. She saved the TextEdit file on her Mac and then proceeded to email them the TextEdit file as an attachment. I told her to go back and open the file and copy and paste it into another email to them because I wasn't sure if PC users could open a Mac TextEdit file attachment (which she did).
My question then is: Can PC users open and view a TextEdit file [in an email sent to them] ?

No problems with what she did.
TextEdit saves in either .txt (plain text) or the default .rtf (rich text format) which are very widely compatible.

EWS C# Attachment Question

I am using the following code to get attachments from an email message. Thing is I have about six places in my overall code page that uses the same code.
I don't now what to put in for the ???? from my EmailMessage mail statement.
What should I put where I have EmailMessage m in the second statement.

Attachment question

Hello All,
I've extended the CO of an invoice page that has an attachment link.
How do i check if an attachment exists? I was thinking of getting hold
of a view that is instantiated in the processRequest, however if i do that
the bind values get lost and it returns the count for all records. Is there
a possible way to get the current instance of the view and reuse it?

Are you linked to BES server or are you using BIS? The attachments don't come down with the message when it is delivered, you have to click for the menu and request them to be brought down. If you are linked to a BES server and you have moved the message to local .pst, it is not longer where the BES can access it to get the attachment.
Also note that only certain attachment types are viewable on the BlackBerry.

On a distributed form, is there a way for participants to upload multiple documents at one time in the attachment field? For example, by holding the Ctrl button on the keyboard and clicking multiple documents.

Yes, the can multi-select files in the browse dialog.
You can also add multiple upload fields to your form.

Lotus Notes attachment question

I having problems with attachments using Lotus Notes which I'm obliged to use at work. Initially it happened infrequently now it is happening regularly. Lotus Notes appears to be doing some sort of compression or modification of MS Word, EXCEL and jpg attachments so that recipients receive an attachment that their PCs can't recognize. I just upgraded to Notes 7 with no improvement. I have tried all combinations of Compress, PC Friendly and MIME options on Notes, with no improvement. Mac to Mac seems to be ok, but all my customers use PCs.

I have an imac 800 g4.. OS 10.2.8
Samsung SD353 (Mini DV)
Okay.. My imovie (3.3) and my system profiler are not recognizing my camera. The weird this is that it did one day then literaly the next day it didnt. This is a new camera.. the first day it worked.
My FW ports are fine (isight works when connected and the system profiler recognizes it)
My camera recognizes that there is a FW cable attached, so that port is okay..
I have a 4pin to 6 pin NEW firewire cable...
I have read 3 hours worth of post on Apple.com
I have shutdown..reconnected, unplugged, checked my midi audio rate, even said a lil' prayer..
Please DO NOT SEND ME to: iMovie: Cannot see or control camera. I have tried this and many other fixes.
Nothing has worked.

No 1 Please. Try Your camera on another Mac.
It is regrettably to easy to harm the A/D chip in the camera by turning
the FW 6-pin end plug the wrong way around (It should not go BUT it
does). Result. Import/Export doesnt work but You can manuver it from iMovie. (Expencive repair if not a guraranti repair)
No 2 If You use FinalCutExpress or pro the import/export in iMovie
also stops working due to a file collision.

Cisco UCS FC Direct Attach Question

We are looking at the Cisco UCS as a replacement for our existing servers and SAN switches. As I understand the fabric interconnect can replace our existing SAN switches and that we will still be able to zone the ports just like we do on our SAN switches today.
Can someone confirm how using the fabric interconnects as a replacement for our SAN switches will work? I read that the fabric interconnects have to be in switch mode for this to work. How does this affect the other connections we will have to our Ethernet network?

Q1: The 6120s run in NPV (N_Port Virtualization) mode which means it acts as a proxy for the blade vHBAs and doesn't participate in flogi (fabric logins). When a fabric switch runs in this mode it requires an uplink to a faber switch for flogi and zoning. Due to this you cannot direct attach the the 6120 to an array's front-end fiber ports.
Q2: Yes you can uplink the 6120 to a Brocade fabric as long as the Brocade supports NPIV.

Mail Attachment question

If I scan a document and forward it to my e-mail, it will not forward unless the document is at least two pages. Does anyone know why?

Problem with transfering attachment on item of purchase order in Sus

I 'm implementing a scenario of plan driven procurement with R/3, i have a release of SRM SERVER 5.5,R/3 is connected to sus via XI.
I'm not able to trasfer attachment and text from R/3 purchase order item to Sus purchase order item.To reach this goal,I have only activate "the service docserver" in Srm,but i can't trasfer my attachment.

Incase you want to transfer attachements from SRM to R/3, then you try implementing the BADI in SRM side. The BADI which will help in this case is
BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK BADI.
Please read the standard SAP documentation of this BADI using SE18 Transaction, before making any code changes.

Hi, in ecc 6.0 qm, audit plan, audits were created, questions created against ea audit. pls advise how to valuate the each question of particulra audit? also advise is it mandatory to assign questions to each audit. in case if not mandatory, how to valuate the each audit? thanks in advance for helping me out.

Audits are valuated based on the question. So it is functionaly mandatory to attach question to all audits.
In the question make sure that you give in Valuation spec tab procedure and valuation profile
For valuating each question there is Valuation button just below the description . Make use of this and valuate all the questions

Problem with the hierarchial fields in a Purchase order xml report

Hi,
I am having a problem with the hierarchy problem. We are populating attribute 15 of a PO header. some times it can be null. FYI, we are using 11.5.10 instance where oracle supports direct PO template rather than having a rdf file.
And now in the xml report, if attribute15 of po header is not null then it is fine.
But if attribute15 is null, then the template is picking from the next available attribute15 that is from the po lines. As the line level group of "LINES" is between the "PO_DATA" (header group), hence the template is checking for next available attribute15.
Can any one please suggest how to design the template where we can make the template to check only for that tag at the header level group rather than the line level group tag?

Outbound Delivery Handling Unit

Hi Guys,
I have an outbound delivery with a Handling Unit document attached, question is...how will I delete this HU document. Pls enlighten. Thanks a lot.

If the delivery document PGIed then you need to do VL09 transaction to reverse the PGI document.
Then do in VL02N transaction select Delete handling unit assignment icon it will remove all the handling units from delivery.
Later goto EDIT option then selct copy pack qty as dlv qty then save.Later system will allow you to delete the document.
