Emails appearing as sent, but not going through

Hi all, yesterday I realised that several emails I sent from my iphone on my BTInternet account at around 3pm yesterday (UK time) did not go through.  They appear in the "Sent items" on my iphone, and there is no error or indication that they were not sent.  However, they don't appear in sent items on web mail, and they did not get sent because one of them was sent to myself as a reminder on something, and it never came through.  Also there was no blind copy even though the iphone is set to blind copy everything back to me.
I have done some tests this morning and emails I sent this morning seem to be going through fine.
I have looked at the emails in the sent items on my iphone and the send to addresses in them are all correct.  I also just forwarded one of them again to myself, and now it works.
I'm worried if emails can just disappear and not be sent without any indication or error message - I only realised there was an issue because one of them happened to be sent to myself so I knew to expect it.
Are there any issues like this going on at the moment and can I do anything about it?

Same happened to me twice.  1 Message showed up days later.  also using iPhone

    The phone is not responsible for the failure. Somewhere in the message you got back, it should detail the REASON that it failed.

    I've been having some issues with the ePrint feature that's configured in one of the printers that we have in our office. The printer is a HP LaserJet 200 color MFP M276nw. Every other client from other email addresses such as Hotmail, Gmail or any other address are able to send emails to our ePrint address and are able to print on it successfully. However, all the emails that are being sent from within our organization are not going through. We get an unsuccesful delivery message from the Exchange server stating that 
    The server has tried to deliver this message, without success, and has stopped trying. Please try sending this message again. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk
    We had checked with our Exchange administrators and they have advised that the email is trying to be sent, but in the destination it is being rejected. How can I get this issue to be addressed?

    Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that your corporate emails are failing when trying to send an email to the Laserjet 200 MFP 276nw printer's ePrint email address.
    Are you getting any messages about the failed messages in your ePrintCenter/HP Connected account?  If so what does the message state about the failed job?

  • Wanted to buy Philips Hue bulb but payment not going through

    Hi, I'm from India & want to buy Philips Hue bulbs. But the payment is not going through. I have tried with 3 credits cards that i have, but didn't go through. I was able to buy the starter pack of philips hue a month ago & i got those bulbs here with the help of my friend in USA. Now i tried with same credit card but was not able to buy.
    Also searched though whole site & couldn't find email id where i can send mail to customer support. Apple site takes you round & round through their site but no email id to be found.
    Hope some customer support person see's this post.

    I would recommed getting it from a European country or from the UK which has a 220-240V supply. The US bulbs are 110V and i've read some conflicting reports on their compatibility with a 220-240V power supply (India). It turns out to be expensive if you buy it from UK as compared to the US but at least there will be no doubts about it working. You may just be taking a chance plugging a US 110V directly in India but if you already have tried it then please share your experience here.

  • Outlook 2013 emails showing sent but not being rec...

    Hi all
    It appears that for the last few days any emails I have sent have not been received. They are not stuck in my Outbox and are sitting in my Sent items. If I run a test message from my Outlook profile, it sends and one time it has been received back. ic an receive emails from everyone else.
     If I send an email from my Iphone for the BT email account ( Bt yahoo) emails are being sent and received.
    My iPhone has the outgoing server as YAhoo!SMTP Server and server port 465. My Outlook has mail.btinternet.com and server port 587 as settings. I am using POP not IMAP and made no changes which might have provoked this problem.
    This problem  has just started suddenly. Probably from about Friday 23rd Jan.
    Any advice welcome. I repaired the account in Outlook but this has had no effect.
    Windows 8.1 is op system.

    I think the fault may lie in BT.  Have you seen the message displayed on bt.com/help and also on the log on page:
    "BT Mail and BT Yahoo issue.  We’re aware of a problem that may be preventing some customers from accessing, sending or receiving their emails. We’re sorry about this and are working hard to fix it as soon as possible"
    I experienced the problem last week and over the week-end and spent many hours on the 'phone with BT Help people who were very good and, touch wood, it seems to have been resolved.  I think it is an issue with the migration from Yahoo to BT mail.

    No, I'm not using the icloud email address.  I am using my email address [email protected]  Let me try to explain what I'm trying to do.  I'd like the emails that I send from and that are sent to my pacbell.net email address to also show up on icloud so if something happens to my imac which is the primary computer my emails are preserved on Icloud and I can access them there.
    Is that possible?
    Note:  I have been able to move my pacbell.net emails to the icloud account manually.

  • Need Help! Emails bouncing or not going through!

    Our emails are not going through to ATT.net and Bellsouth.net email accounts. From ATT.net email accounts we get an abuse bounce back message. From Bellsouth.net we get no bounceback messages. The emails just dont reach the recipients. Emails to Yahoo.com and all other domains go through fine. We submitted the info to [email protected] and still hasnt been resolved. We checked other blacklist services and our domain and IP address are clear of blacklisting. We need this resolved ASAP as our clients rely on ATT.net and Bellsouth.net email services. 

    You mention you have "clients", perhaps you should contact business support.

    That's usually a symptom of a phone that was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.

  • Emails display as sent but aren't actually sending

    I am trying to send Cox emails through Thunderbird, and they appear to be going through. Thunderbird tells me the mail is sent successfully, and the emails appear in my Sent folder, however, they never arrive in the intended inbox.
    I travel and I have had the same problem on the last 5+ ISPs I've used.
    Server name: smtp.cox.net
    Port: 465 (default 465)
    Connection Security: SSL/TLS
    Authentication Method: Normal password
    Changing the security option or the port to 587/25 result in timing out during the "connecting to smtp.cox.net..." part of the process. Changing the server to smtp.west.cox.net results in the email appearing to be sent, but not actually being sent.
    I restarted my computer in safe mode w/ networking. The emails appeared to be sent, but were not sent. Same thing when I tried turning my firewall off. I tried disabling all Thunderbirds extensions/addons, and again no help.
    This problem has occurred for many months.
    Downloading emails is working just fine.
    Sending emails from Cox's online webmail without using Thunderbird works fine, but that process is extremely slow and annoying.
    Any help is very appreciated!

    one method you might consider as you travel alot.
    Create a gmail account.
    Forward messages from Cox account to the gmail email address; done via Cox webmail account.
    Access gmail via https webmail.
    you can access emails via Thunderbird.
    Create new existing mail account in Thunderbird for gmail.
    Then view emails via gmail account in Thunderbird.
    Gmail has a two step verification method to assist with keeping stuff safe.
    You would need to set this up if access via a phone.
    Thunderbird however, does not use two step verification, so if you set this up, then you would need an application specific pasword for Thunderbird.
    If suspicious ativifity is detected - eg: logon from different IP address, you may have to jump throught some verification process, but it will get up access again.
    Remember to logout whilst at home before travelling. If you are still logged in at home IP and you travel it will get flagged up as suspicious.

  • Account password reset sent but not received by Outlook.

    I have requested a password reset, went through the process and had success at Apples end. Email was sent but not received by the Outlook account email I have been using for years. Outlook is still working fine. Nothing in Junk folder and have added the apple email to contacts (from last reset).
    Any ideas?

  • Why do fonts appear in Keynote, but not in Font Folder?

    I made a misguided move in adding fonts through Font Book and am trying to restore my fonts to a previous iteration.  Strangely though, the fonts appear in Keynote, but not in the usual Fonts folders.  Can anyone shed light on why this might be the case?  More information can be found, under the Mavericks discussion forum, here.

    As is my guess, there is now something wrong with those fonts. There are utilities, that can possibly repair them - two mentioned in the article. If you have a backup of the fonts, from when they worked, perhaps just going to that, and reinstalling them will solve the issue. I'd hate to think that they might have to be acquired all over again, but that might be "plan D."
    Periodically, I will copy all of my fonts to DVD (now - used to be CD), just to have them available for new computers, or OS's. Over the decades, I have lost a few to corruption, that could not be repaired. In several cases, I had an older BU, that did work, but have had to buy a few again. Just checked on my workstation, and I've got 19,362, though seldom more than about 350 ever installed at one time.
    This reminds me that it's about time to do another BU, as I will be getting a new workstation and laptop fairly soon, and will need to transfer my fonts to them.
    Good luck, and hope that things can be saved - I hate to loose a favorite font.

  • My Ipod Shuffle 3rd Gen appears in Windows but not in Itunes

    It all Started going wrong when i converted all my music to AAC versions and deleted the old versions so it would work in my car. Since then it won't connect to Itunes but shows up in WIndows. It has taken all of my music off but still charges.

  • Texts not going through to only one number

    I tried looking at the other answers but none of them worked. I have a Env3 and the person i'm trying to send messages to has verizon also and ive been texting him before with no problem. My number isnt blocked or anything like that. I tried the reprogramming things and taking the battery out but my messages still wont go through. They just are still sending and not received. Sometimes they went through hours after but now theyre not going through at all. Thanks for the help

    I'm having the same issue on my Blackberry 9330.  Seems to happen to 1 or 2 specific numbers.  I cannot send a new message or reply to a message sent to me from that number. Receiving messages works fine. The number i'm sending to is using Verizon Wireless as well.  I have reprogrammed and removed the battery,
