Employment discount.. I think not!

Where can I find the written policy where it says I cannot have my employment discount if I have a discount from a high plan in more everything? I'm sick of the misinformation from customer care reps 5 said I could use both discounts 2 said I couldn't . Weeks later and hours on the phone I'm being told out of contract I can't use the discount.... Where's the policy on my end that I can read that, the employment verification department said the denied my discount but cannot send me the policy where I'm in violation. This is the hardest time I've Had with a cell phone company.

lewisr13 is correct, the Edge discount of $10/$25 is available even with employer discounts. The month-to-month discount of equivalent value is also available even with employer discounts.
I know exactly what policies pertain to my situation.
If you are attempting to add an Edge discount and are not currently on an Edge plan, you will not be able to do so.
If you want to add a month-to-month discount to a smartphone line access fee to an eligible line, you can do so simply by logging into your MyVerizon, navigating to "Change Features" and selecting that feature to add. Of course, Verizon can change its policies at any time and you could lose your month-to-month discount at any time. Additionally, once you get the discount, it does not necessarily go on for ever. Your eligibility for the discount can change. If you were to purchase a subsidized phone, your discount would fall off immediately.
The month-to-month discount is not advertised, nor will many Verizon reps either acknowledge or are aware of it.

    I was notified in October that I needed to update my information for my employment. I sent everything requested in to them but after 3 months the discount was still not applied. I contacted Verizon in January and was told that I did what I was supposed to and the error was on their end. I was told to resend my verification information, so I did. I was also refunded the discount from October to January. I received my bill yesterday and the discount is again missing. I contacted Verizon this morning and was told they would send my info back over for review and to please hold while they got ahold of someone about the discount on my new bill. I was on hold for over 20 minutes! I hung up and called again. I know by this time I am very frustrated with this whole process but when I talked to the manager on the floor, he was not very helpful at all. Just said that I would have to wait 7-10 business days and see if it went through again. I mean, I did everything I was told to do twice and you mean to tell me there isn't anything that can be done and nobody can tell me why. Seriously considering transferring my phone to another service because this is just not right. I know Verizon doesn't need my money every month but to treat me like it is my fault for the past 6 months is wrong.

    I sent everything that was required of me last October when I got the notice that verification was required. I also resent what was asked of me in January when I inquired about the discount not being applied to my account.
    This information was received by the Employment Discount department. There is record of everything I sent being received there at Verizon. Nobody can tell me why this is not being applied to  my account.
    The floor manager was not helpful in answering any of my questions yesterday. He was actually rude to me at some points ignoring the frustration I had with the whole process at the time.
    The error in the process is at the Verizon level. I don’t know which department is responsible for this program but someone messed up not once but twice on my account and I was made to feel like
    I was in the wrong. I am serious about switching carriers after the way I was treated. I still do NOT have the discount because nobody will do anything to expedite the process or give me information to resolve this problem.

  • Don't believe the employment discount

    I just renewed a contract with Verizon and was informed by 'Ahley' via online chat  my employment discount would be 25% and would have to be activated after I received my device.  I have it in writing!  I chose Verizon over AT&T based on this information but when I went to employment verification and entered the information, I was informed it was only 15%!?!?  When I called customer service, I was told "oops, that information was wrong.  Our max discount is only 22% and yours should only be 15%."  What a joke- telling customers one thing to get them to sign up and THEN changing the information is a deplorable business practice.  BEWARE

    If you have an work email address that indicates your job with an qualifying organization (for instance, a school district or public agency) the discount is applied immediately when you submit and confirm your email address via http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/support/employee-discount-email  If the specific email address is not recognized as being eligible for a discount, then you  need to submit documentation and it does take one or two billing cycles to be applied.  My son's discount was evident on his second bill; he does not have a work email and had to submit a current pay stub, and the discount was applied from his second bill onward.

    As stated I turned on my passcode lock to come on after 1 hour of operation.  It doesn't work like I thought it would.  My thoughts were that it would go to the lock screen and then require a code.  Is my thinking not right on this?  What am i doing wrong?

    The passcode will be requested after the device has been in sleep mode for one hour.  It does not turn off the device, nor is it a usage timer.

  • Discount condition type not appearing in sales order but in invoice

    Hi,
    I have two discount condition types (MPDI,ZSDI) in my pricing procedure,at the time of sales order creation one discount condition is not appearing.
    On analyzing the condition type MPDI,system throws message "Access not been executed due to previous access",what would be the reason.
    In the billing ,i could see the condition type appearing.I have checked this,but i could not understand why it is happening.Even the condition catergory of condition is empty not L.

    Am sure user might have deleted the condition type in sales order, the same condition type woudl have entered manually in invoice.
    Please check my testing, i have done the same entered ZA09 manually and after saving have deleted again in sales order, after dilivery and when i created invoice here i have entered manually the same condition type.
    So in your case also the same thing could have happend, check the change log and also in invoce condtion tab check the condtion type in analysis ( Invoice analysis not order). so that you can udnerstand whether it was entered manully or not.

    This is because in the condtion tyoe the abvoe key combiantion was found with records hence the below key combition was ignored. this you observe in your screen shot with with 5.00
    So my guess is the condtion records was deleted in sales order.

    While doing MIRO transaction against work order system is giving error 'Cash Discount Amount can not be posted' no cash discount is posted nor payment term given is having any provision for discount.

    As you aware discount value (0RPA_REA) has Positive values correspond to a reduced sales value. Negative values correspond to a markup on the sales value.
    Item discounts are already taken into account in the sales value. Discounts at POS transaction level (header discounts) are only taken into account at the point of processing.
      This key figure is supplied by the Data Sources 0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL and 0RT_PA_TRAN_TOTALS and is filled by PIPE field REDUCTIONAMOUNT.
    Can some one let me know how to achieve the correct discount type from POSDM?

    Hi Ramesh,
              As Vikrant mentioned the discount values are shown against record qualifier 1101 in 2 instances in your snapshot.Please check the receipt/MON0 and compare the discount values.
    Alternately pick anyother transaction which has maximum no of discounts and compare in RSA7.
    You may also Import/Export this transaction and verify in any other environment(DEV/TEST) etc to see the results are matching.If not matching, then possibly,some of the config TRs may be missing in PROD.

  • Discount at header, not reflected at item level

    Hi All;
    We are using ECC6
    There is a bsiness requirement.
    The vednor gives a discount for some PO's as a lump sum.
    The user requires to be able to enter the discont at the header level but the system should not divide this discount on all items. i.e. the unit price of every line should not be decresed by that discount.
    The discount should only be refelcted on the net price of the header only.
    Is there a way to define such a condition?

    I dont think that is possible. It should not be possible too..... If you are adding discounts by vendor , these should get distributed to the PO line items to make accounting consistent for these items....
    If you dont distribute it to the PO Items, where will you post this gain.....Another option to handle this is at the time of creation of invoices you enter a lump sum amount at Invoice header...that should be possible but I did not check it...

    How can I set up the system so that unplanned costs goes to fright account ( which I think is working fine) at the invoice level but also the discount amount while paying is not taken out from the amount +freight amount. We need to pay so that discount amount comes out from only amunt-freight amount.

    Depends on the contract that TX Dept of Transportation has with Verizon; what I'm seeing on this forum is that most contracts do not extend to retirees, unfortunately.  You'll be able to check when Verizon asks you to confirm your employment (e-mails/texts are sent out periodically).

    I have done settings for cash discount GL seeting in customising.  Now when i use F-28 or F-32 , We charge balance amount to discount manually in standard.
    Suppose a debit in customer account 2000 INR. But we receive bank GL 1900 INr & entered  100 ( discount GL) in cash discount feild in Tcodes F-28 & F-32.
    Entry will come
    Bank account debit
    Discount Gl account debit
    Customer credit
    when i see assignment of Discount Gl is billing document . But it does not populate it even though i have customised the sort key.  If i see BSEG entry nowhere billing document & customer comes for that discount line item with posting key 40.
    I want when discount is entered. it should automatically copy billing doc no & customer no in some special feilds like Assignment / Reference etc. discount line item for that Gl account .  So that when i analyse discount report on basis of GL account i can make out that how much discount was granted against which billing doc & customer. ???

    Please do check once again u can have properly identified the characteristics at the multiprovider  i.e selecting the characteristics from different data targets.i.e there is an option at the right side panel top to identify the charactersitcs that are assigned to the multiprovider.
    Click that and mark them tick for release date...if already once cross check them
    check u has identified release data at multiprovider from dso y and pr number at mutliprovide from x and y.

  • Settlement Discount on Credit note

    I have a client running 2005A SP01 PL 20 and no settlement discount is being calculated on credit notes when they select them as part of an incoming payment.  The payment term with a cash discount is linked to the credit, but the discount value and discount percentages are both blocked on the incoming payment.  Is this standard system behaviour?
    How do we then treat the following scenario:
    Invoice $100
    Credit note $100 (not linked to invoice)
    Incoming payment:
    Invoice $100 les 2.5% settlement disount = $97.5
    Credit note $100 less no settlement disoucnt = $100
    this will calculate that we owe the customer $2.5 which is incorrect.
    Please help.

    It is not system behavior but because your client's no link credit notes.  Since they have not linked the credit notes to the invoice, system will never know how to adjust it.  They have to use manual JE to adjust any discrepancies.

    I have entered invoice amount of 25000 INR and payment terms as 0002. I have given 100 INR bank charges. For this I have created Cash discount taken and Bank charges A/c in FS00. I have entered 20000 INR as partila payment and Special G/L Key as 'D' in Vendor A/c Details. Payment term 0002 is applicable to  20000 in this case or only for 25000 INR?

    Payment term apply to whole amount of the invoice.
    Suppose if you pay the remaining 5000 also in time according to the payment terms.
    You'll receive cash discount for total amount and not for only 20000.
