Enable Functional Area field in PA30 Info type 0001 Screen

Hi,
I need to enable Functional Area (PA0001-FKBER) field in info type 0001 screen of PA30 and the functional area should pick up value corresponding to cost centre.
I unhide the field in T588M table, but still i dont see the field in PA30 Info type 0001 Screen,
Can someone please let me know what other settings need to be activated for enabling functional area in 0001 screen.

If Funds Management and Controlling are updated in an integrated way such that the cost center is always the leading account assignment and the fund center is derived, the HR must not (and does not) support the maintenance of derived information (such as fund center). Thus there are the following three possible scenarios:
- Funds Management (FM) is not active. -> HR doesn't show Fund Center
- FM is active but without CO-Integration-> HR shows Fund Center
- FM is active with CO Integration -> HR doesn't show Fund Center
These scenarios can be maintained with time dependence (active from-dates): There can be a period for the first, a second time interval for the second and a third time interval for the last scenario.

Functional Area field not getting populated in the AUFK table

Hi Friends,
The table AUFK is the table for Internal Order master data.
The issue which we are facing is:
In a particular Order type, the field 'Functional Area' is suppressed in the field status group for the order master data.
But the cost centers which are maintained in the order master has the functional area field populated with value.
In the table AUFK, the functional area field is populated for some internal orders and not populated for others. In all cases it should pick the functional area from the cost center which is maintained in the internal order.
Please guide us about what can be the possible reason(s) for populating the field in some cases while not populating in other cases.

Hi,
maintain the functional area in order master data to ensure 100% functional area is available in AUFK.
I can't tell you the reason why its sometimes appearing and sometimes not bur FUNC_AREA is not picked from responsible/requesting cost center (from master data).
If in customizing of internal order order types a "model-order" is assigned with maintained functional area, this func_area is taken if you create a new order for this ordertype.

How to simplify entering position selection in Info type 0001 ?

How to simplify entering position selection in Info type 0001 ?
HR admin needs to select vacant positions of org unit 1 or 2.
While executing Hiring action, F4 shows all the root org units - around 20 or so...
I want only the org 1 and org 2 for which the HR Admin can do the hiring.
How to implement this?
Do we have IMG Config for enforce this ?
Is this to be done thru ABAP code or something?
Would the authorization stuff will filter the authorize org units only?
Please help me how to figure this out

There can be a workaround to simplify the process of entering vacant positions from org unit 1 & 2 ONLY . Try this out-
1. create an adhoc query (report output on vacant positions with their object ID and position text for org unit 1and 2)
2. Save the query as a variant (so the HR administrators would need to change only the key date when they run the query)
3. Everytime the HR administrator runs the Hiring action for org unit 1 or 2 , ask them to run the report (adhoc) first. That way they get a complete list of vacant positions as on key date (with object ID) for org unit 1 and 2 . This report can also be downloaded in excel format
4. use the positions from the above list to manually key in the hiring action
Hope this helps you out - may not be the most efficient way of doing but atleast you have a ready list of all vacant positions as on a key date for org unit 1 & 2.
I think there is a standard SAP report on vacant positions per org unit (plz check the SAP easy access menu--> Information system / reporting tools) . If that serves your purpose , no need to create adhoc query

Activate FM Master Fields in HR Info Type 14 & 15

To support HR Payroll with FM Module Activation, normally, employee master data will has field of Fund & Functional Area to be input. These data will be use for normal payroll payment.
HR payroll which is paid by Info Type 14 or Info Type 15 will not read Fund & Functional Area from Employee Master for their further posting.
How to activate field of Fund & Functional Area to be able to be input in HR Info Type 14 & HR Info Type 15? Is it in the FI or FM configuration?

Sorry for disturbing you. The issue is resulved by:
1) Input integrated dat to >> Public Sector Management> Funds Management Government> Actual and Commitment Update/Integration> Integration> Integration with Human Resources (HR)> Define Start Date for HR Integration (Scenario 2)
2) Request HR open the mentioned fields.
I am not sure that, is this the correct solution but all issue resolved.

Custom field in standard info type data vanishes

Hi,
We have enhanced standard info type 9 & added a custom field.
in PAI defaulting some value to this custom field.
In PA30 when we make changes to existing records it defaults the valu in the custom field and when we save it it saves to data base.
After some time the value in this field vanishes.
Any idea on this?

The screen of the infotype 0009 is separated in the standard screen and the customer subscreen. When the
bank country key is changed, then the current screen has to be refreshed: this is due as the displayed screen is dependent of the country key (eg 2000 for the international screen, as example 2006 for France, etc).
When we refresh the screen (technically a LEAVE SCREEN is done), the customer own fields are not yet passed from the screen layout to the screen logic as at the time of the refresh the customer PAI logic is not yet processed. Unfortunately this screen logic cannot be changed as this is a central place in the infotype 0009.

Custom fields of standard info types to be included in Info set query

Hi All,
I want to understand if the following scenario is entirely a fucntional config or ABAP efforts are also required.
A standard info type is already included in the Info set. But the (Z fields) in the Additional fields column of the IT are not visible in Info set for the respective info type.
I understand, with T-code SQ02 infotypes can be included in the existing info set, but not aware about the Z fields of a Standard Infotype.
Hence, please let me know, if there is any config which is required, so that they are reflected in Info set.

Make sure you have the infoset in edit mode.
if it is correct you see the addtional fields in the left half of the screen at the infotype.
Select the field group on the right half of the screen, go to the left half of the screen, select the field you want to add to the fieldgroup with right mouse click and select 'add field to fieldgroup'

In PA30, for infotype 31 is it possible to set unlimited reference personnel numbers. Or what could be the maximum reference personel no. Currently the reference no is limited to 20.

Yes ... even i was of the same opinion. Last time we set this to 75 and now user wants this to be increased and hence i was looking out for some unlimited option.

Function modules for operations on Info Types

what is the difference between function modules HR_MAINTIAN_MASTERDATA and HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION ??

1. HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
   It is just a wrapper function module
   Inside, it finally uses
   HR_MAINTIAN_MASTERDATA only.
   (HR_MAINTIAN_MASTERDATA does the real work)
2. HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
    This FM Does some small extra things viz.
   a) check for infotype existence
   b) check the particular record
     If not found, then operation = INS (Insert)
     (This kind of facility is not available in
        HR_MAINTIAN_MASTERDATA )
3. SAP Recommends to use HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION .

Display has white and grey lines and blocks crisscrossing it and touch functions are not working properly on half the screen.

I dropped my iPhone 5S and it landed flat on it's face (it was in a protective case). Since then my touch screen display is not working properly. I have white and grey lines and/or blocks crisscrossing the screen both horizontally and vertically. Screen responds to touch in odd random ways, but rarely does what I am trying to do. Can't call or receive calls because can't dial or answer phone via swipe. Can't text or read incoming texts. All functions seem to be working except that I can't access them because the touch screen is acting up. If I move the phone around it randomly accesses different apps or functions, but I have no control over them once the appear on the screen. Touching screen just causes phone to randomly choose something else to open. What have I damaged?

1. Call GR22 and click "Characteristics".
2. Check FKBER and assign a position number to it.
3. Save and close the library.
4. Call your report in GRR2 and you should now see FKBER as an available characteristic.
5. Use it in the General Data Selection or as a Lead Column, as per requirement.
Or,
1. Call GR21 and create a custom library. Provide a name and description and also provide a library you can copy from (scan for the best-fit library).
2. Now follow the steps 2 through 5 above to achieve your result.

Enabling of the Business Area field in Asset Master Record

Can you explain how I can enable Business Area field in Asset Master Record becz it needs be change.How I can acheive this becz it is coming in disabled mode.

Once u ticked the check box save it.Now u can change these field in main asset master record and if u have ticked Su no also then in sub asset master record also.Make sure filed status is optional.
Now u go to AS02 if u want to change the filed for main asset or sub asset

Field functional area does not appear as an entry field into the document..

We are using the functional area field in our system. In order to access this field, we proceeded
to customize the system as follows:
- We already activate Cost of Sales Accounting for our Company Code.
- The field functional area was set optional through transaction OB41, for the posting keys required.
- The field functional area was set optional using transaction OB14, for the field status group assigned to the GL accounts.
However, we cannot enter the area functional when we are posting documents related to customers and vendors.
Although the field functional area was set optional, it does not appear as an entry field into the document screen for the
different transactions: fb70, fb60, f-02,fb01. It is only happening when we areentering the document position for the vendor/customer.

Hi,
In FB70 or FB60 change the layout ........ select the line item layout configuration, you get a separate Table Settings screen pop up where in you need to select "Administrator" button the system displays another pop up window where in you can check whether the Functional Area field is checked as invisible if so remove the check mark and active the settings.
