Encoding partial output to JPEG

Hi,
Is there any way in which we can encode output of a function in JSP to an image and output remaining page as plain text.
Thank you all

Sorry, no. Those are two different http requests. You have to have your jsp page call the servlet (or whatever) that outputs the image like this:
index.jsp
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
<h4>hello world</h4>
<img src="/mywebapp/servlet/generateImage.do"/>
</body>
</html>and /mywebapp/servlet/generateImage.do is soley responsible for returning your image.
Again, since they are two distict requests to the server, you cannot combine them.

    Hp officejet 8610 fax sends out more pages than scanned - received partial output on remote end

    Hi,
    How long is a page on the sender side?  If it is a long page like a legal page, it may end up in in 2 pages in the receiver side. Also check on the receiver end, if it is set to 'auto reduction - off' this may happen, try turning it "on".
    Also if the sender page is not a long page, try observing the paper that is going into the ADF, it should be 1 page at a time, if pages goes into the ADF continueously, it suggest that ADF is could be faulty.
    Set automatic reduction for incoming faxes (for HP printers only)
    The Automatic Reduction setting determines what the printer does if it receives a fax that is too large
    for the default paper size. This setting is turned on by default, so the image of the incoming fax is
    reduced to fit on one page, if possible. If this feature is turned off, information that does not fit on the
    first page is printed on a second page. Automatic Reduction is useful when you receive a Legal-size
    fax and Letter-size paper is loaded in the main tray.
    To set automatic reduction from the printer control panel
    1. From the printer control panel display, touch and slide your finger across the screen and then
    touch Setup.
    2. Touch Fax Setup.
    3. Touch Advanced Fax Setup.
    4. Touch Automatic Reduction to turn on or off.
    Please click the "Thumbs Up", to say thanks for helping!

  • Partial output generated .

    Dear All,
                        I just seen a scenario in which partial output is generated after killing a session. Can anybody clarify me on the same .
    My Database Details:
    BANNER
    Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.3.0 - Production
    CORE    11.2.0.3.0      Production
    TNS for IBM/AIX RISC System/6000: Version 11.2.0.3.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.3.0 - Production
    Actually its a job scheduled and since it taken more than expected time so we killed it and automation mail is set on the same so after session is completed then automatic mail is generated and will be sent to authorised persons .
    Query is "select"  query .
    Format is like :
    select
    union all
    select
    union all
    select ....
    Around 8 "select" are there with union all . So according to output generated its possible to say that first "4 -- Select queries" were finished .
    Output generated in this way :
    DESC1                                           COUNT(*)
    Nov 2013 Curr Balance Exists in balance                0
    Nov 2013 Opening Arrear Mismatch -                     0
    Dec 2013 Opening Arrear Exists in  amd -                0
    Dec 2013 Opening Arrear Exists in Balance -            0
    ERROR:
    ORA-00028: your session has been killed
    As i can understand For example : While running select query with more than "Ten thousand Rows" like "select * from table_name"  then if we give CTRL+C in sqlplus in between so it will display partial output but here session will be active still , since we are killing the session so my understanding was output shouldn't have got generated .
    Can anyone please clarify me on the same .
    Your responses are appreciated.
    Regards,
    Nitesh pareek.

    It sounds like your code is written as follows:
    open smtp connection
    write e-mail header
    loop through cursor writing e-mail body
    write end-of-data to smtp server
    close smtp connection
    When the session/job running the code is killed, it is in the loop. It has a valid SMTP conversation with the mail server. The session terminates and closes the TCP connection to the mail server.
    What should happen - the mail server should rollback the mail conversation as it did not receive an end-of-mail-data line (that line is like a commit in SQL and is required for the mail server to accept the mail data thus far send for delivery).
    If you are receiving a partial mail, it likely means that the mail server did not adhere to RFC specifications, and accepted the partial mail for delivery.
    In that case you can design your code as follows:
    loop through cursor adding e-mail body to array of strings
    open  smtp connection
    write e-mail header
    loop through array of strings and write it to smtp server
    write end-of-data to smtp server
    close smpt connection
    When the session or job is now killed while looping through the cursor, the SMTP conversation has not yet started and no partial mail was created and could be delivered.
    This all said - I still find this scenario very unusual and very unlikely. I think the actual problem has not been fully explored and detailed - and that you are misdiagnosing the problem.
    Maybe back in the 90's we would have gotten a mail server that blatantly violated RFC specifications by accepting an e-mail without getting a "commit" instruction from the client.
    I suggest that more troubleshooting be done to identify the problem.

  • Output a JPEG every 15 seconds

    I would like to output a JPEG from my originl sequence every 15 seconds automatically. Is there any way to do this?

    You might be able to speed up the footage the appropriate amount and then export an image sequence. Not sure if it will work but might be worth a shot.

  • Media Encoder corrupted output

    Media Encoder reports successful encode.
    The logs report no errors.
    In fact the only output is 2 intermediate work files, video only and audio only, the correct audio-visual output file is not there.
    The attached JPEG screen print shows the 2 file types.
    Basically, there is a short-circuit in the encode process.
    This just started happening out of the blue. It now seems to happen for every encode even for things that encoded OK before.
    I am running with just 4 second encodes that is 1st 4 seconds of sequence, until I can figure out and correct the cause.

    FIRST, the workflow. For the reasons why Encoder outputs become inputs.
    You do not do video projects all as one physical project.
    You break them into stages.
    I have three stages.
    All documentaries have a "stage", so the narrator is not floating in empty space.
    My stage is in the countryside.
    So first I filmed in the countryside mostly during moonlit darkness.
    You cannot film landscape and moon at the same time because exposure range is too great and perspective is wrong that is if you use the right zoom for landscape the moon will be a tiny little burnt out white dot.
    So I did multiple shots then composited them together, the result is moonrise, foggy country river night landscape, with then proper sized and exposed moon traveling across the scene then leaving. Stuff like that.
    All that is one project, it all goes together through Media Encoder, out comes my stage.
    You cannot sit in the countryside narrating a documentary at night, this is impossible, you need an autocue etc and several takes. Adobe could not handle the chroma key cloth I was using so I had to set up a tent indoors instead and use a 16-point cut-out to make the surroundings transparent. So my video of me narrating the documentary is several sections of narration stitched together (it is 5hrs 14mins) in a tent laid over the countryside stage and minimised to bottom left corner of screen, because the star is not me but these documents that I am going to show you, so I give you a story and interpretation but the documents show this is for real. So this is the second project, me performing narration composited over this stage. That is a second project and encoding.
    The output from Encoder for this second project took 2 weeks to produce (that is Encoder ran 24 7 for 2 weeks to produce the output) that output was missing audio so it became the input to a third project where the audio was re-attached to the video. This third project became the input to the 4th and final project which is where documents are displayed.
    You cannot display documents in SDTV, these need HDTV at 1920x1080 and that is how the whole project was conceived. The camera I used produced 1440x1080 but this was converted via Encoder to 1920x1080. The documents are scanned into computer or otherwise are computerised data, they were displayed on Windows Vista using 1920x1080 resolution, then JPEGs were produced of the windows containing the documents (this is because Adobe Pr Pro is not 'aware' of computer data not even from other Adobe apps like Acrobat). So I produced the JPEGs and started getting them to work with prior Encoder output, although this eventually worked (see thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/690645?tstart=0) it was realised that the prior Encoder output is in a version of H.264 that is not compatible specifically with Blu-ray, so I have to re-encode. Then I have to check the JPEGs can be compatible with the re-encoded Blu-ray type output. This re-encoding isnot going smoothly.
    SECONDLY results of the Encoder run are that I got the three files video in .m4v and audio in .ac3 and a blu-ray related file .XMPSES.
    Nothing outside Pr Pro will play the audio or the video. I pulled them into a Pr Pro sequence and Pr Pro plays them. For the video there are now signs of degradation in the form of horizontal striping which I will guess is caused by multiple encodes especially this last transform from H.264 of a very high quality down to this lesser quality. I can later re-rerun my earlier project that re-attached audio and produce outputs directly in the desired Blu-ray compatible H.264 and see if that fixes the problem, but next I want to check a third party multiplexer and see if it produces a file that will fit on Blu-ray.
    The outputs from the latest run converting to Blu-ray H.264 without multiplexing produced files which in total are about 39 gigabytes, we know already that if Encoder performs the multiplexing it will blow the Blu-ray limit of 50Gb. So I want to try a thrid party multiplexor on this output to see if others are more efficient.

  • JDev generated webservices encodes XML output from PL/SQL procedure

    I have a PL/SQL packaged procedure which takes some input parameters and produces one output parameter. The output parameter is of type CLOB and after the procedure has run, it contains a big piece of XML data.
    Using JDeveloper 10.1.3.1, I've published this packaged procedure as a webservice. The generated webservice is fine and works, except for one tiny little issue: the XML that is taken from the output parameter is encoded.
    Here is an example of the SOAP message that the webservice returns:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns:ns0="http://gbv0300u/GBV0300U.wsdl/types/"><env:Body><ns0:gbv0300uResponse
    Element><ns0:result><ns0:obvglijstOut> & gt;type>GBV0001& gt ;/type& lt;
    & gt;diensten& lt;
    & gt;dienst>some value& gt;/dienst& lt;
    & gt;/diensten& lt;
    </ns0:obvglijstOut></ns0:result></ns0:gbv0300uResponseElement></env:Body></env:Envelope>
    (I've manually added an extra space between the & and lt; or gt; to make sure a browser will not translate it into a < or >!)
    The contents of the <ns0:obvglijstOut> element are filled with the output parameter from the PL/SQL package.
    How can I change the generated webservice, so the output from the PL/SQL package is used as is instead of being encoded?

    Update: I've tested a bit more by adding some output statements to the java code that JDeveloper generated. I'm now 100% sure the PL/SQL code gives the XML data correctly to the webservice.
    At this moment my guess is that somewhere in the WSDL definition there is something that enables the encoding of the data. But I'm not sure.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • How to encode an output XML file to UTF-16

    Hi,
      My target is a file system and the output is XML file. I need to encode the same in UTF-16 instead of default UTF-8. I am not using XSLT mapping
    1. How can I do this dynamically by adapter specific message attributes?
    2. Or can I achieve this by some module parameters in communication channel?

  • Media Encoder CS4 output file size varies--why??

    I was batch encoding several files yesterday, and one of the files failed. Adobe Media Encoder provided no details, other than when I hover over the yellow exclamation point error icon, it says: "Error compiling movie. Unknown error." Very insightful.
    Today I reprocessed the file same file with the same preset [FLV - Same As Source (Flash 7 and Higher)] and it worked fine. To check for instability on my machine, I actually ran the same job 10 times, and each job succeeded. But the curious thing is, even though I was using the same input file and output preset, I see that the output files vary in size. The output sizes are:
    30,739,977 bytes
    30,750,834 bytes
    30,750,504bytes
    30,750,654bytes
    30,739,928bytes
    30,740,044bytes
    30,750,615bytes
    30,740,001bytes
    30,739,979bytes
    30,750,637bytes
    Now I understand that this variation is less than 10kB on a 30MB file, so it's prety small. But I am curious as to why the file size would vary in this way.
    Any ideas?

    I would guess that you are overclocking your cpu and the cooler is not able to make the cpu cool enough and some calculations can go wrong. There are programs that put the cpu in a high load and check if it's running properly as expected. Give them a try.

    Ludek,
    The following link http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/communityCS/FilesAndUpdates/crXI_rdc_merge_modules.zip would be the correct update pack link I am looking for.
    http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/additional_downloads/runtime.asp
    As it is the runtime engine, not the crystal developer that is having the problem.
    For completeness I have upgraded my developer CR XI Release 1 to SP4.
    http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/additional_downloads/service_packs/crystal_reports_en.asp#CRXIR1
    I will post again later today, once all the upgrading has been completed.

    Hello All,
    I use Oracle 10g, database characterset is UTF8. I've got a txt file with corresponding UTF8, could I change a characterset of the txt output file for the other one - ANSI, for example?
    Thanks in advance for your help!
    Best regards,

    I know becasue encoder for compress like gzip.works nice.
    How do i multi file tree when one or  more files were compressed. But i have been found - same site is down
    Question:
    Why do we need "Encoder" for flash player?
    Do you think because encoder supports complety?

  • Encoding to output for HDTV viewing question

    I would like to know what presets are best for the most prestine output to watching an encoded clip in HD. e.g. Given a HDV input, worked in FCP 5 then then encoded. What presets encoding are going to give the best results to watch on a HD monitor, and how long should it take on a G5 dual 2 for say an hour of clip? h.264 in 1080i or 720p or Mpeg4 in 1080i or 720p... consider I don't want to wait a week for encoding. I would like to know if anyone has figured general times for encoding with these conditions.
    thanks in advance

    I have found the answer. In capturing in dv or hdv I can encode in DVD 4 Pro once it is imported and then selecting the encoding option by right click on the dv file and chose my preset. I watch it thru a hd monitor/tv with a dvi cable and the dvd 4.6 player and it works great. So, I found a way to gather in cable tv using a canopus advc 100 720x480 of a hd program so the res is much improved going in, then process/edit and send to DVD 4 Pro. There is some loss but for home view it works great. I did find some not so know exceptions when you go to support and look for h264 encoding help and it tells some gems about how and what presets to use. I didn't find it in the manual. Also used the latest update to DVD 4 Pro 4.02.

  • Static methods in encoded XML output stream

    I have a class designed to be instantiated, then initialized in several steps, one of them being the use of a static method declared in a separate class. The approach works fine in a Java program but when I attempt to devise a persistence delegate to handle the XML encoding of those steps, XMLEncoder objects to the use of a Statement object specifying a method that is not a member of the class being encoded. It keeps looking for the method in the target class and, not finding it, posts a failure.
    The persistence delegate exists in a separate module being designed to support serialization of classes in the target package. I can do a workaround by inserting a member method in the target class to wrap the static method in the other class but for reasons of coding economy prefer not to do that. And it seems to me this defeats the purpose of the persistence delegate. I want to design the persistence support module to fit the target package, not the other way around.
    Is it possible to encode a Statement object to invoke a separately-defined static method? If so, how do I code it?

    I'm trying to produce a statement instantiated as:
    *Statement stmt = new Statement(oldInstance, "myMethod", new Object[]{arguments});*
    where oldInstance is the instance of targetClass being persisted and myMethod is the name of a utility static method in a separate class that performs certain initializations. Next line is
    out.writeStmt(stmt)
    where out is the Encoder instance passed in to the initialize method of the persistence delegate. Encoder expects to find myMethod as a member of targetClass. When it doesn't it issues a message of the form:
    java.lang.Exception: Encoder: discarding statement targetClass.myMethod( arguments );
    The Javadoc description for Encoder.writeStatement confirms this, that the statement
    "... should be written entirely in terms of the callers environment ..."
    The Encoder doesn't have the other class in context at this point in the object graph being written and evidently isn't endowed with the ability to look outside of that context. If, instead of oldInstance in the Statement construction I put something like OtherClass.class, the result is that Encoder doesn't complain but simply ignores the statement and generates no output for it.
    Without going into discussion of why the target class and the utility method are designed like this, let me just say they are based on prudent design considerations and work well. I was hoping to write a persistence delegate without contorting the target class but thus far haven't found a way.
