Encore wont run without admin

I've installed CS4 suite for a user. I did this under my network admin account and it launches and without any problems. When the user logs on to the machine, it gives a prompt that Encore needs to be run from an Admin account to register and then can be run from any account. I have run this from both the network admin and the local PC admin account. The only way I can get it to work for the user is by elevating her status to local administrator, which is not an ideal answer. I'm having this problem for Premier, Encore and media Encoder. I believe that the rest of the suite works as it should with no prompt.

You must use an Administrator account to run the program at all
To create a dual layer DVD, you must ALSO right click the icon and select Run as Administrator

Don't you think you should really contact Grauile ?
They wrote the software, including the native DLL libraries, and probably encountered this problem before on dual processor machines.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with a Windows operating system file there.
Perhaps try an sfc /scannow. For instructions, see the following Microsoft document:

2 Problems Form Wont Run Without DataBlock / âFRM-40405â

2. Avoid rising of Error âFRM-40405 No Change to Applyâ
Problem Details
Developed an index / welcome form with link of all other reports & forms.
But this form wonât open unless I include (a DataBlock or dataitems in a non-DatabaseBlock).
If I include a DataBlock it give following error:-
âFRM-40405 No Change to Applyâ when ever I open linked forms/reports and when ever I enter new record in link forms.
This error wonât stop/corrupt any process but rise on every above instance.

You should be able to run a form without a base table block. You do need an item (can be a non base table item) to which the cursor can navigate. This can be a text item, button, etc. If you don't want the item to show on the form, make it a very small size (height and width both equal to 1).

What can I do? It runs if the user is logged on as administrator in
Windows.

Try setting the uninstall object to run as an "Unsecure System User"

Issues with labview on TestStand deployment system (wont run without a labview License)

I am trying to deploy a system using testStand to a deployment machine for the 1st time. I have built my installer and image files etc.The files install successfully on the target machine however when I try and run my program in TestStand operator mode I have getting errors relating to Labview. The only way I can get around these error is to activate a Labview License on the deployment machine, this is not viable.
The error I see when I disable my Labview License simply states an error occurred accessing the Labview ActiveX automation server.
I have included the run time engines etc in my installer. As this is my first build is there something obvious I have missed here??

my first guess is that the setting for the LV adapter on the deployment machine is still configured for "LabVIEW Development Environment". You have to change this to "Runtime Engine".

Powebook G4 1.67 wont startup without power cord

All of a sudden my Powerbook G4 1.67 running 10.4.11 wont run without being connected to the wall outlet. I did that thing, where you turn off the computer, remove the battery and hold the power button. Unknown if that was suppose to work or not, not a computer person. When you press the button on the battery it says its full. Anyone please help, don't have money at this time to get fixed by professional or buy a new MAC, even though I want to.

Those things might be worth trying, but they typically don't help a power problem. There are 4 components of the power circuit: power adapter, dc-in card, battery, and logic board. Your power adapter is working, since the computer runs off the power adapter, the dc-in card seems OK, the battery looks OK, and that leaves the logic board. Unfortunately there's not an automated test for power issues, so we have to diagnose them by elimination. The symptoms point to a logic board issue.
Your least cost choice is use power only. Next, talk to your local Apple store, and see if the system is eligible for repair at the Apple Depot. If the case is in good shape, repair will cost around $350 (they replace anything needed to make it almost new). If the case is banged up the repair can cost over $600, since they would replace the case. Otherwise, if running on battery power is important, you can try and find a used logic board and either replace it yourself or use a business that replaces logic boards.

Possible to run soa suite without admin server?

Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to run the SOA components on a managed server without the admin server running. I intended to shutdown the admin server in production but when I do that I get errors in my (managed) soa server. I believe this was possible previously. Why does it need the admin server?

do you mean in weblogic domain without running admin server you were able to run managed(soa) servers???
Without admin server how Managed servers gets start?
Though there is a concept in weblogic server called MSI mode,in that case managed servers can be running withut admin server, but very first time you have to start Admin server followed by Managed servers.

Run VHD/VMCX without admin rights?

Hi,
Is it possible to run Windows Virtual PC without Admin rights?
My goal is to have basic users running a Windows XP VHD. I can install the application and set everything up using my admin credentials, but I want to leave the other users as basic or power users.
I've added the users to the power users group and given that group all rights to both the VHD and VMC files. The error the users get is that VPC cant write changes to the VHD.
To add, I'll need to use the integrated features as well. So even if there is a work around for the admin issue, I still need to ensure integrated features works too.
Can this be done?

Sorry we are unclear as to the external hard drive and its connection to the TC..
For instance the light that blinks.. is that the TC or external hard disk or what.
Did you try just rebooting / restart the whole network in correct order.. modem.. router / TC.. external drive.. clients with 2min gap between each.
Are you actually running Snow Leopard as the profile states?
How old is the TC?

Can Cisco IME software run on desktop without admin privileges?

I do workstation support and our network administrators do not have admin on their Windows 7 workstations, is there a way to install the CISC IPS Manager Express and have it run without needing admin permissions on the desktop? I thought I had it working (with shims and Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit) then it said it needed the admin permissions for making the SQL connection.
Please let mw know why this application requires admin and if there is a work around.

I'm afraid I have no personal experience with what you're attempting to do...
All I can remember is that Full Admin rights were supposed to be granted to the user account during the entire installation of Palm Desktop, and a successful HotSync performed. Whether the check-out routine is doing this is beyond me.
Once the above is complete, the rights can be revoked back to "User".

How to run Power Saver without admin rights

How can I use the power saver (V6.00.04) with a user account without admin rights (Windows XP)? When I login as a "normal" user the lamp icon does not appear in the system tray. When I try to start it manual I get the error message that I don't have the necessary access rights.

The Power saver needs admin rights to works successfully.
Either you will assign the admin right s to the user account or the user will be not able to use the power saver utility
You could also try this;
Right click on the power saver.exe and select the properties. There you should find an tab called security.
On my notebook it works but the notebook is set to domain and not to workgroup!

CS4 without admin rights

Can someone tell me what will happen if CS4 production premium is installed and admin rights are removed? Please don't just tell me "it won't work" I need specifics. I have to test a system like this because our IT department is not letting anyone have admin rights anymore. I know the specs call for admin rights but why? What happens if you don't have them.. SPECIFICALLY. If there is something that doesn't work, is there a way to make it work? This will be running on a XP 32 bit system too. I know.. get a different machine. My hands are tied unless I can prove that I don't have the functionallity to do a project from start to finish AND there are no work arounds.

I know Encore won't burn DL disks without running as Admin.
Never tried it with PP.

With icloud set up on my 4GS I deleted photos from camera roll. I run an older PPC G5 with Lion which wont run icloud. Can I transfer pics from i stream to camera roll to allow a non-icloud back up to my PPC? Precious photos are close to 30 day cut-off

With i cloud set up on my 4GS I deleted photos from Camera Roll to make space knowing I would have them backed up on icloud via Photo Stream. I now find that my older PPC G5 with Lion which wont run icloud. I have an ipad3 too, which of course does. I want to copy photos from Photo Stream back to Camera Roll on the phone so that I can back up "old school" to iphoto on my ancient mac. The controls seem to suggest that as an option but when I select multiple photos in Photo Stream and select "Save to Camera Roll" the photos do not appear on Camera Roll as expected. I am running close to the 30 day limit and do not want to lose hundreds of precious photos (or have to email them to myself individually). Can the ipad3 help at all? Any ideas good people? Dan

If only it were that easy Winston. I connect with a USB cable, iphoto opens and I can only see the photos in Camera Roll, not Photo Stream. There does not seem to be a way of aceessing other files in the phone from iphoto and, as in my initial message, I can not transfer the photos to Camera Roll on the phone. My iphone and ipad software is up to date, but my iphoto is '08 version 7.1.5 with my mac running 10.5.8 which is the best I can do on the PPC without messing everything up. I dont have the dough for a new mac or I would have gone for that option...am I stuck?
