Enhancement of COPA extractor

Hi All,
I need to add a field "Exchange Rate" in COPA extractor so that it pulls data in BW (ODS). I have checked, the field is present in COPA table CE1BOCE (where BOCE is my Cost based operating Concern). But when I recreate the COPA extractor (1_CO_PA_BOCE_12) using KEB0, the field "Exchange Rate" is not present for selection. How do I add this field in COPA datsource?
I have found out two options. Please do let me know, is there any other approach or which one of the following is correct to implement.
1) Enhance the datasource in RSA6 to add a new field (Exchange Rate) and populate using CMOD.
2) Add the field in operating Concern and re-create the COPA datasource.
It is recommended to add a field in Operating Concern?

Hi,
You cannot enhance COPA DataSource directly if you want to add the field directly to the CO-PA data source. You need to delete the data source and then need to re-create using KEB2 transaction.
Advise your CO person to enhance to operating concern first and hence this shall reflect in COPA tables,
and then re-create ur COPA datasource.

I want to enhance the datasource for CO-PA extraction.The enhancement I want ot do is to add a field for sales document date and load the data from AUDAT fields from VBAK tables in the SD.
To enhancing this, which user exit should I use ? Transaction data or master data or test or heirarcy.

Enhance the 0vendor_attr extractor

Hi All,
I am new to BW. I want to enhance the 0vendor_attr extractor and add payments term 'ZTERM' from table LFB1. Please let me know the step by step procedure to do it.

payment terms are stored at company code level (primary key in LFB1 = BUKRS and LIFNR) which means that you can have two different payment terms for one vendor thus you shouldn't enhance 0VENDOR_ATTR...
They're two master data source for ZTERM: 0VEN_COMPC_ATTR and 0VEN_PURORG_ATTR...
I suggest to activate the corresponding business contetn IObj ( 0VEN_COMPC and 0VEN_PURORG) and load them; you'll get then 0PMNTTRMS populated by standard business content...
for the texts of 0PMNTTRMS you'll have to create a generic DSource based on table TVZBT.

How to change safety interval in COPA extractor

Hi, guys!
I had a problem with changing safety interval in COPA extractor. I created COPA datasource using keb0. In RSA2 it can only view security interval. It is 1800 sec by default. I cannot change it.
How can I change it? I cant do it in RSO2, because it is not true generic delta.
Note 808663 is not implemented (we have higher patch on R/3). Delta extraction is correct, but safety interval is very annoying

No data coming in to enhanced fields of extractor

I added fields twice to the existing enhanced business content extractor 0fi_gl_4, I wrote the transactional data exit and did the extraction, the extraction went with green light. when i checked the data in ods, i dont see any data for the enhanced fields, including the earlier enhanced fields which used to be populated before i did this enhancement.
when i look at load in monitor
it is all green, but when i go to scheduler to do another test load it is giving me the following message
Conv. exit PERI7 for field FISCPER not found in BW; Exit deleted
Message no. RSM1149,

i tried making an infinite loop in exit and do a data load..the load has taken sucessfully without an error and i checked the data , the enhanced fields are empty..so i concluded that it is not even calling the exit? any idea of how to fix it ? plz give me ur mail id ..i will send some screen shots?

Problem with COPA extractor 1_CO_PA ...

Hi all,
I am facing a problem with COPA extractor where delta is bringing in records which have been commited to database more that 6 hours ago. I understand that according to a note that COPA extractors have a default safety interval of 30 minutes but 6 hours is too much.
Is there any way I can change that? Is there any customizing option? Note 392876 explans how to change the safety interval to 5 minutes but I dont know if it is applicable for our patch level?
We are at PI->2004_1_500 patch SAPKIPZI69.
Also the safety limit is also maintained in ROOSOURCE-DELTASAFE2 field, should I just change it there?

Enhancing Function Module Extractor

Is it possible to enhance an extract structure which is using a function module as an extractor.
Basically I want to extract some more fields which the function module is not extracting. Can someone let me know how to do this.

is it generic extractor or business content ?
if generic extractor, since it's our own, you can add field(s) in extract structure and add code in the function module to populate these fields.
go to transaction RSO2, and you will see the extract structure, use SE11 to 'change' the structure and activate. then add code in function module, use SE37.
if business content, RSA6, choose your datasource and double click the extract structure and click 'append structure', add field(s) with prefix ZZ. activate the structure.
and populate the field(s) via user exit ZXRSAU01 (for transaction data).

Basic customizing for COPA extractors

Hi,
we are working on account-bassed CO-PA extractors of SAP ECC 6.0 in order to be able to analize finance data in BW7.0.
We are having problems with the extractor so, I need help for the basic customizing of COPA because we are having the following errors:
Error KM 443: No profile has been assigned (TKA01-CVPROF) to controlling area HHSC.
Error GP 526: Version 0 is not set up for controlling area CO = FR01.
Any help will be welcome.

There is a whole bunch of BCsets which have been arranged in a heirarchical order as per the way they should be implemented in the standard system. They have all the settings to set up WH 0001 with structure, product, HU etc. The main BC set which has this is '/SCWM/BASICS'. This is a heirarchial BC set which has all the required config step by step.
Further more there are specific BC sets for setting up the standard config for inbound and outbound deliveries - '/SCWM/DLV_INBOUND' & '/SCWM/DLV_OUTBOUND'.
You can use these to get the basic config in place.

I am trying to add some fields to the 0customer_attr extractor.
I did the following went to RSA6 enhanced the append and then removed the check mark from the hide and field columns.
In rsa3 its not getting populated. am i missing something.

Enhancing master data extractor View-based

Hi there,
I want to append fields to a standard master data extractor that uses a standard view. How can the enhancement be performed? Per my understanding, the append structure won't work here. So is extending the view the only valid option? Please can you provide steps how this needs to be done.

Hi Intel,
The first step would be to enhance the underlying tables involved in view. You will have to first add the required field in one of the tables involved in building the view.
In this enhancement you might have to use append structure if it is standard table or in case of 'Z' table the field can be directly added.
Once you add this field in table you will have to make this field available in View for usage and then simply enhance the DS, replicate the DS. You will get the newly added field in BW.

R3 Enhancements to 03 Extractors

Can someone give me some advise on some code I have written (copy below) for the 2LIS_03_BF (will be placed in all 03 extractors).
What I am trying to do is as follows
If Special Stock Indicator field is V than the Storage Location is V
If Special Stock Indicator field is W than the Storage Location is W
Otherwise what is in the Storage Location keep as is
The questions I have is:
1) Do I need to place a clear statement and if so how and where
2) Does the ending else statement make sense what I am trying to say is just take the value in the field

How to transport a Enhancement Project for extractor (CMOD)

Hi all,
how can i transport a Function Enhancement for a R/3 extractor (created on the CMOD transaction)?.
The extractor and the Structure Enhancement is already transported, but I go to SBIW and select the extractor under SAP-R/3 and select Function Enhancement, enter the project name and it's not transported.

Hi Juan,
Have you tried activating the components (under this project) and project in the target system.
If you are unable to see the components/projects, you can try activating them in your development system, it will prompt for a transport request, which you can get imported into your target system. Hope it helps,

as Ashish wrote check in se16 if there are data for your selection criteria in tables you use in this datasource
if you use infoset check it in sq02 especially join conditions
if you use function module - test this module in se37

Enhance standard 2LIS_17 extractors in an operative SAP R/3

Hi experts,
I need your help in a special activity that I need to do, I'm going to enhance the 2LIS_17_I3HDR to include some standard fields through LBWE transaction, the complication that I see in my future is activate the delta extraction, because the source system is operative and the plants works 7x24, what you recommend us to do this activity in the better way, preventing that some orders don't get lose in the extraction.
How can I proceed to do this and have low impact?.

first let us know how want data for added fields?
want historic data or not?
One more thing in case LO.
User lock is mandatory.
if we do the transports without lock then next delta pointer will be corrupted due to extract structure changes. so you may loose those records which are created/changed in time gap.
Better to have user lock on ecc system/related t codes.
later to do the transports and follow other steps as per need
Situation: if you need historic data
1. you need user lock as per you source data volume.
at bw side need to delete whole data and reload.
so here, you need to delete setup tables data and fill whole data.
run full load with init.
later you can do unlock and continue with delta loads.
situation: don't need historic data then
need user lock at minimum time.
clear all delta queues from ecc and move to bw.
later you can do you can transport changes to ecc prod and bw prod.
later you can do unlock and continue delta loads.

Hello
Can you please give me an example of typical extractor output for account based and cost based models.
Wha are the difference between different model types? Please answer with your own words rather then with copy-paste.
Is it the same principle like account based and key figure based in planning?
