ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I purchased my iPod touch less than a year ago and have had nothing but problems with it. Within the first 3 months the iPod would freeze and close out of Safari,YouTube, and music playing and return to the home screen. The longer I have had the iPod the worse it has gotten. Lately, when it is on shuffle it freezes on one song and does not respond to touches and even pressing the hold button. Sometimes it will respond almost a full 5 minutes later to a command. Just a few minutes ago I was purchasing music off of iTunes on my iPod. The iPod froze and when I went to my library all of my music had been deleted. I have upgraded to all of the most up-to-date versions of everything. I have tried resetting all the settings on my iPod. I have tried everything. Enough is enough. What can I do about this?

Either send it in to Apple for repair or make an appointment at your local Apple Store to have it repaired.

  • ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! BT COMPLAINT...BT MISOLD ME A PA...

People if you are considering movign to BT. Ensure you get everything in writing before proceeding. The catagorical erros they have made on my account has cost me time and money. phone calls, emails, going round in circles on phone loops, being cutt off after long calls. Useless customer care managment that did not ofer a solution at all. I have tried to get this resolved for over 4 months. Now I have taken this further. No more and I wasting my time on it.
I caleld bt to start their bt all inclusive tv, broadband and calls package. (I paid upfront for 1 years line rental to save alittl e bit more money) I then found out I coudl get £176 cash back if I went via topcashback .co.uk so I called Bt to cancel. The offered me a deal to stay. That was going to save me £180 over the year. So I felt much beter and agreed to stay. I asked the guy to email me the new deal and he said I am afraid we dont do that. It will be in your next bill. My online billing log in was not working as they and messed up our account move to the new house so it wasnt for a few months when this go rectified (as if by magic one day) when I noticed we were not being charged correctly (£20 for the first the months and £25 therafter). I have been told they have no record of this offer and can only offer the deals they have which is £40 ish a monent which was the cost of the initial deal I took up.  OMG......They have told me they don't offer discounts to keep people. pleas if anyone reading this has had the same happen please broadcast it. They shoud not be allowed to do this as they feel they hold a monopoly. I am not having it....I have not paid my bills until they resolve the issue. I have tried caling, emailing, live chat and perisitent phone calls for the last 2 evenings. Enough is enough.... I have now gone to the Obundsmun. It is now out of my hands.  They have told me they could not find a recording of my original cancellation. I asked the lady this evening to ensure my call was recorded as I wanted it on record that I am trying to resolve this yet again after the complaint supposedly being excalated and still no contact from BT. I dont know if the cal is recorded. BT record most cals. Then the next guy I speak to a customer service Manager said we record all calls. So They are lying as they obvoiusly don't. I am only going to make sure this gives as much bad word of mouth as possible as it is not fair to treat people like this. It is serious and I know I am telling the truth. One frustrated lady BT customer that will not be defeated.... UESLESS BT.... I advise anyone lookign to cancel with BT - record your cal. I am sure they will still be using this tactic and hoping you will not notice or understand their everso long and confusing bills....

  • ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! BROADBAND-OVERCHARGED ON MY BIL...

I was going to leave BT last year to get a better deal with sky so they offered me a 12 month contract for £7.49 a month for bt broadband opt1. So I took the deal but when my bills came through they were still charging me £17 the monthly charge I used to pay for unlimited broadband. I rang, they said they would sort it out, the usual palarva!! this went on nearly every month for the last 12 months and they kept crediting my account every time as they took the money out my bank as i pay by direct debit. I have spent hours on the phone over this. Then last month they sent me bill for over £100, enough is enough. I rang they said they would sort it, but this time I cancelled the direct debit as I did not want them to take the money and say we will credit your account as £100 plus is not on to pay out when you dont owe it!They promised it would be sorted, apoligised and even put me on another 12 month contract for £7.49 a month for broadband opt 1. What did they do try and get the money out my bank but they couldnt because I'd put a stop on it and now Ive been disconnected for none payment of a bill I DO NOT OWE!! its soo frustrating of ofcourse I rang, complained, a manager will ring me back, but no one has, sdo now I will have to ring again, spend my time on the phone yet again, is this never going to end????

i know how you feel. my broadband and phone combined has gone upto £70/month when infact i heardly use our phone. my broadband and phone combined should be £42/month, called bt on sat about my direct debit. was told they have soughted it out and will charge me £38/month which should increase in nov to my normal price. called bt just today as no changes on my account online. just been told cannot change the direct debit. and also informed that if i pay this i will have a credit balance when the next bill of £98. Is this just so they can get the intrest of my money. why cannot i pay for what the amount should be??? very frustrating never known a company like it. 1 person telling me something then someone else tell me somthing different. I really do hate calling BT up, maybe i should start charging them for my time i call them. Well BT when my contact is up im leaving. I cant wait

The clincher, as I know it is the creative drivers is this:
    X64_0x50_VRF_ctoss2k+5dde
and I have also, prior to this removed the Creative soundcard, and disabled all the drivers, and ran it with onboard sound. Now it ran fine for month no crashes, but the onboard sound sucked, so I reinstalled the sound card and enabled the drivers again. Soon as I did, within hours it crashed. I uninstalled the drivers, and purged them from the registry. Redownloaded them and installed them again. Worked fine for day, and the blue screens began again. I must say the drivers that are being put out for the consumers are well below par. They need fixed.

,Re: Enough is Enough. Bluescreen constantly+ Hello,
? I get the bluescreen whenever I load up a game. Sometimes it makes it to the menu, sometimes it doesn't. I have tried setting games to software sound, from hardware sound, but that did not improve it much. Unfortunately this is the only computer I have with PCI-E slots. So moving the card to another computer is impossible. And the slot it is in is the only PCI-Ex slot available. I wish I could help by moving it around to see if it is the card itself or not. As of right now, after 3 more bluescreens within 30 minutes, I disabled it via the device manager and am using onboard sound. I have not had problem since I did that. More evidence pointing to the card or drivers. If you have any advice on my being able to move it, let me know, I'll try it.

  • How many problems before enough is enough?

I guess this is more of just a vent then anything else but hopefully it will help in getting a resolution.
I signed up with Verizon about 9 months ago because my girlfriend has Verizon and we wanted to make it easy mobile to mobile. That would be a mistake I would surely regret for the rest of the year and continuing into this year.
I originally signed a 1 year contract with my local Verizon store and got an HTC Thunderbolt, at the time what the rep in the store said to be the best trouble free device out there. Turns out he was surely wrong. I had multiple different issues from text messaging going to random people in my phone, losing service constantly, phone freezing, phone restarting, and several other problems. We must have exchanged that HTC close to 6 times before they finally sent me a replacement LG Revolution. Sure enough different problems would now come up. The phone would lose its cellular data network almost daily. I had issue after issue trying to make and receive calls, not to mention my internet working maby 20% of the time. I took the phones into local Verizon stores so they could see the problems and emailed screen shots of the issues to level 2 techs as well. We replaced that device a couple times before an update from Android crashed it again and Verizon sent me a new device again. Now were at the Motorolla Bionic. Seems to be a pretty good phone but one major draw back, I still lose data service often. I have to take the battery out of the phone and sometimes do a full master reset to get it back. I have NO apps loaded and the problem is there. I switch to CDMA Only thinking poor 4g coverage in my area is the problem but it still continues.
I have spent hours upon hours on the phone with Verizon. Had so many times that a rep said they would call me back and never did. Promises made by one rep then never a call back and when I call in again that person is in a different center and this person tells me that the previous promise could not happen ( for example, replacing a defective device with a NON Certified phone and new one instead) One night I spent 4 hours on the phone with Verizon, LG, Verizon then Verizon level 2 again. I must have over a full work week in time on the phone trying to fix things.
Now for the last couple months there are errors on my bill? They are charging me for old returned defective devices. They charged me in November for a device I returned. There system shows it returned! but they took forever to fix the charge so last months bill was $600 over my normal. I wouldn't pay it of course but they issued me a credit. Problem is the Credit they issued could not be shown until this months bill. I was promised a call at end of billing so we can straighten it all out and guess what, NO CALL AGAIN. So I called today and they got me a credit for that device and its on my bill. BUT  now there is a new charge for a device returned 5 months ago. Once again they show it being returned and have no idea why I am charged again. So we are back in same place seeking a solution to the problem again. Lets see if this rep calls me back as promised, my money is on NO....
How much of this back and forth horrible service and devices is enough? I have 3 months left on my contract but they say I have early cancellation fees if I terminate the two lines I signed.
I have paid my bill every month early, never gotten any compensation for my problems. Nothing but more problems and more issues. I miss T-Mobile and AT&T, never had this many problems with them!!!!

Maybe they should be there to help you?
OH holy ****, what a concept.
...especially considering that our local Wal-mart's connection center associates have proven more knowledgeable and helpful than any associate the local VZW store has. All they see money. All they think about are the things they can say to get it. Signed up in October, got <a Thunderbolt> and cannot wait to get the **** off Verizon (oh and only took three months for my corporate discount to be applied. After the first 24 hours of time spent on hold with them, I quit keeping track). Unless their game plan is "get bought out by AT&T," they should really rewrite the book.
    <Keep it clean, Thank you>

  • Firefox keeps changing my default search engine to Bing. I've changed it back 20 times already. Enough is enough.

Ever since the deal went down when Firefox changed its default provider from Google, I have had to reset my default search engine back from Bing at least every other day, if not more frequent. It is maddening. It doesn't just happen on one machine either, it's happening on all of mine.
I do have Firefox sync enabled with preference sync, so is it possible Firefox sync is getting out of sync? IE every time I change it on a machine, it misses a browser, and then the browser that doesn't get changed goes out and changes all the rest back in the next sync? That's the only thing I can think of, other than Mozilla selling their souls and values and forcing Firefox users to use a search engine they hate.
If the latter is the case, I have had enough and am switching to Chrome. I can't handle having to change my default search engine back every other day. Please someone tell me there is an explanation and a fix. Thanks.

Alright, I feel like an idiot. It was from an extension I installed called InvisibleHand that I installed right around the time the Google deal with Mozilla expired, which is why I assumed the problem was a result of that.
I just checked the settings of the extension and sure enough it has an option that gets ticked by default called "InvisibleHand Search (Use InvisibleHand (powered by Bing) as my default search provider)". So I jumped the gun and blamed Firefox, my apologies.
The extension automatically shows you if an item is cheaper elsewhere while online shopping which is useful, however having that setting ticked by default is pretty skeevy.
Anyway, thanks for the response and sorry I blamed Firefox :P

  • Enough is enough with updater

I just set my apple updater to "never". I am tired of them trying to put Safari on my machine. I'll run it when I want. They've just lost too much credibility with me. They try and bill themselves as the antithesis of Microsoft, but they are just as arrogant. We are stuck with Microsoft. Now my attitude has changed towards Apple, I'm stuck with them but will live with them more on my terms.

I'm surprised Apple made this move and didn't even back down from it completely after releasing the update to the Updater recently. I guess they are very set on getting Windows users to use Safari.
I would say they either don't realize what a terrible impact this has on their otherwise pretty good public image, or they think it's worth the few people that will try Safari and continue to use it. Personally I think they have very little hope in making Safari popular on Windows, so this is an awful mistake.

  • OK enough is enough about freezing iMac

    That's it! I AM ******!
I thought that buying an Apple computer would have less troubles than PC BUT I WAS WRONG!! I just switch to Mac because all of the ads that keeps bashing PC but I feel it's the same or maybe worst than my old PC!
WHY THE **** DOES THE NEW IMAC KEEPS FREEZING LIKE THAT?
No heavy application opened, no nothing. It freezes just like that. Did the technicians really did their job of testing the product before they put it on sales? We're talking about APPLE **** it! I saved all my money for this beautiful machine and this is what I get? Freezes from in and out sleep mode, freezes because I opened Safari, freezes because I opened MSN?? SOMETHING'S WRONG!!
So please Apple technicians, Apple geniuses, FIX THIS PLEASE!! POST A SOLUTION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!
Dont get me take this computer which I really love back to the stores.
From a proud switcher who feels completely betrayed.

Well, needlesstosay, there is something wrong with your machine. I have a 2.8GHz 24" new iMac, with all the latest software updates, including Bootcamp and Windows XP, and have never had a freeze once. Thus, I believe the underlying design and software is fine - but clearly something is at fault with your machine.
Intermittent, random crashes like you describe are usually due to:
    - Overheating
    - Memory problems
    - Other hardware issues, like failing components on the motherboard
To rule out overheating, install an application like iStat Pro and check your temperatures. If everything is below about 60 degrees C then you can rule this out.
To check for memory issues, I'd first recommend you shutdown, remove your memory, clean the contacts carefully with a spirit based solvent (ie. something that will remove grease and then evaporate) and then carefully reseat. If you have two modules, try running with one at a time, to rule out a defective module.
Failing that, and given that you have already reinstalled the OS, you have a hardware fault.
Take it back to the store and get it replaced. It *****, I know - I had three replacement iMac G5's before I got a good one - but it's the only solution.

  • Ipod is crap , enough is enough , its going back

this ipod is a load of crap , 4 days and always some problem,,

    >Native resolution is too small.
    1600x900 is a decent resolution.
    >A touchscreen is pretty much useless on a laptop.  Never use it.
    there is a touchless version.
    >Not upgradable (soldered RAM, etc.)
that's the downside of thin body.
It sounds like you made a poor choice. But X1C is not a bad laptop, just not for you. Look at T440/440s?

  • Apple, enough is enough.  Fix this problem NOW.

What is it going to take get Apple to fix this major issue? I followed your troubleshooting steps IMPLICITLY and received no error messages upon install and I-tunes simply will not open. I downloaded ALL the latest updates from Windows update. Emptied my Temp folder, uninstalled all previous versions of Quicktime and I-tunes, downloaded and installed the standalone version of Quicktime, then downloaded and installed I-tunes and NOTHING. All the while disabling my Norton Norton Anti-virus software during this process.
I have Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 and am current on ALL updates.
I am not speaking for all Windows users here, but it would be in Apples best interest to PUBLICLY mention this issue to the Windows community, especially if you want us (millions of Windows users) to switch to Mac's. This is not helping. Instead, you have thousands of frustrated users, who just simply want their I-tunes working again so they can enjoy their music.
Apple is losing customers by the day and even the minute by not making any kind of statement that you are trying to fix this.
If there are ANY savvy users out there that are on Windows XP and have successfully installed this and made it work, PLEASE post DETAILED instruction on how to fix this.
I want my I-tunes back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW.

Well, the problem is that, as best we can tell, there's an interaction issue. Apple can't really fix every problem out there; we've seen an issue that hinged on the fact that the default permission models are different in WinXP Professional and WinXP Home (I think that one was fixed somewhere; I haven't heard anything about it in a while). There are some that are interactions with video card drivers. NIS is known to have some issues. I'm actively helping debug a problem that may be tied to the Welchia worm.
So Apple can't really make any statement about resolving "the issue" because there are a lot of assorted possible issues, and many of them aren't things that Apple can do anything about. Now, some issues they will acknowledge. 5.0 had a major install issue, and they put a link about it at the top of the forums and I think on the download page, and got 5.0.1 out the door. But I have the feeling that the NIS issue is more of a Symantec issue than an Apple one.
Let us know what happens with that other post. If we're luck, it fixes it, and theren there's no harm, no foul. Otherwise, we'll need some details to work with.
As for why they don't provide phone support (I know, you didn't ask, but I can see it coming ): Since iTunes is free, there's no way to build in a cost for staffing a help desk. You can't expect personalized attention on a free product. (This issue gets raised regularly, so I'm not accusing you of bringing it up, just putting it in so everyone sees it. Eventually, people will stop asking )

  • 'Not enough memory' + 'Internal error' x 'Could not render the database' = Parting of company :(

I can’t believe the amount of concern / disappointment / frustration spread across every associated Fireworks forum re: CS5’s
    "An internal error occurred"
    "Could not render the database"
    "Not enough memory"
    "Crash without notification"
    Etc.,
We installed the CS5 trial – being more than wary about Adobe’s past releases – and lo and behold, all of the above beared ‘true’!
This is nothing new of course, we’ve all been experiencing this since CS3 – but hoping against hope - a newer release would solve the poor memory management and general ‘bug-ridden’ code; alas - as per usual, Adobe has not responded with any pro-solution based action, but successfully furthered our frustration with a couple of fresh gimmicks without strengthening the core software.
As an avid fan of adobe software […and a Fireworks freak] working in a design house that has many different employees with widespread software tastes – I eventually said ‘enough is enough’ after the umpteenth crash [as of 3 weeks ago] and have revisited the Rebel Alliance; ‘yes, CorelDraw’!  No I’m not going to go into some tirade about how much better Corel is etc. - as it has its own strengths and weaknesses, too […but without the hourly crashes] – so to be honest, we figure the time increase in some projects due to using Corel […time is diminishing with each project’s acquired experience] are negated by the downtime of Fireworks; so far, this is holding true.
This may seem drastic, but it has been a long time coming – that is, implementing a move from our decade invested workflow to a ‘somewhat’ new schema, but due to the disappointing aforementioned, eventually principal / expenditure comparisons / sanity / lack of support all culminate to such, and if there’s no support for the competition, well – then there is ‘no’ competition; a luxury Adobe has taken for granted way too long.
I truly hope Adobe turns around and fixes their ways, until then – we’ll be supporting those that do – and hopefully along the way, just maybe, with the added funds from disgruntled adobe x-pats – the software will far exceed what I used to love and adore […how I miss macromedia]; honestly, it would be near on impossible to argue which suite was better ‘either way’ – so it may not be such a distant future. Besides, with the market-door Adobe is opening due to such poor software, the new player sniffing around the edges will be welcomed by many with open arms; I know my/our allegiance will go straight to the company with the greatest software stability and sound support, whomever that maybe.
So here’s to hoping no more, and actually doing! Very sad...

I am also getting this error message. It happens randomly. Adobe help told me to close and reopen FW and then it stopped happening.  Does this sound like a good solution to anyone?

  • ERROR: work area not long enough

    Hello experts,
I have a submit event in which I was declaring one work area named "ls_data".
    I have a DDIC structure ZNEWEMP999_S.
    I wrote,
    DATA ls_data type ZNEWEMP999_S.
It's giving an error "The work area "LS_DATA" is not long enough.long enough".
Can any one suggest me how to resolve it.
    Regards,
    JAVED.

    Try this....
    SELECT *

                    TABLE itaBTWO
                        FROM ZDOLTARC03
           WHERE SEARCHFLD EQ WAONE-SEARCHFLD

  • Time machine won't back up since I have restored from time machine following hard drive replacement.  I am being told there is not enough space, however the back up is less than the hard drive size

We recently had the hard drive replaced on our Mac as part of Apple's replacement programme.  Prior to sending it off for repair we did a final Time Machine back up, which was completed successfully.  SInce getting the computer back we restored everything from the backup disk using Time Machine, which all worked fine, however now we are having problems with it completing regular backups.  We receive a message each time telling up that the backup disk doesn't have enough space on it.  It is telling us that it needs in the region of 370gb and only has around 30gb available.  The computer hard drive is in the region of 350gb and the hard drive is a 400gb one.  It is almost as if it is not recognising that the data already on the disk is the back up of this computer and is trying to complete a completely separate back up as opposed to just updating the backup already on the disk.
Has anyone else got any experience of this and therefore could give me some hints on what to do.  I am reluctant to wipe the backup drive and start again, however I would prefer not to have to buy another hard drive if I can avoid it as this one is technically big enough
I look forward to getting some responses

Hi, I never use TM myself.
Have you looked through Pondini's extensive TM help site?
    http://Pondini.org/TM/FAQ.html
    http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html
Can't imaging something not being covered there.
PS. It's generally recommended a TM drive be at least twice the size of your main drive.

  • A FIX for error message: When I try to open Snood (it's a game) I get this message.  Not enough memory {Error # :: 0, in sound.cp@line 101  Can you help?

After years of playing Snood, w/o problems, I started getting this error message, on my iMac, OS 10.5.8,
with 4 GB of memory when opening Snood:  Not enough memory {Error # :: 0, in sound.cp@line 101
My MacBook Pro w. Mac OS 10.6.8 did not have this problem.
Initially I thought that Snood raised its minimum requirement to Mac OS 10.6.
I had several correspondences with Snood. Their tech support is great. Quick and thorough responses.
They thought the issue was in Mac's system preferences/ Sound. It was.
I didn't realize that my sound input and output devices were gone.
The fix was resetting the PRAM. I found this advice on MacFixIt.com.
    MacFixIt help with volume:   http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-10415659-263.html
Resetting the PRAM is on Apple support:   http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
My sound (music!) is back, along with Snood. So glad I reset the PRAM before reinstalling the OS software!
Thank you to Snood, MacFixIt and Apple.
    Happy new year all!

    Good work, nice post/tip, thanks!
