Enter credit memo : FB75 / MRHG

Dear Experts,
Pls anybody explain what is differences to enter credit memo through MRHG and FB75?
Why I could not find the tree path menu for MRHG when searching via sap menu?
Thank you in advance

For purchasing documents there is in all cases a puchasing order, like stock materials.
Non purchasing are lnvoices like: telephone bill, electra, restaurants, Hotels,...
For purchasing it is better to use MIRO and not MRHG. MRHG is an old transaction.

    Hi
You can use any of the 2 BAPIs BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING_POST / BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST
Here, you can use FM 'COPA_PROFITABILITY_SEGMENT' to populate the Prof segment
You can also create a Char group in KEPA and assign it to Busn Transaction in KE4G or to a specific GL account using exit COPA0003

  • A/R credit memo with due date

    Hi Gurus,
when we create A/R credit memo, it become due immediatly and next it become over due. But user want to see credit memo as net due 30 day or more. Is there any way that when ever user create credit memo it does not become due immediatly but net due in 30 days
    Thanks

    Hi,
If you are using Payment term for A/R invoice same terms of payment can be linked for credit memo by entering invoice  number in inv. ref field in payment tab of credit memo. In this way all terms of payment from original invoice are copied to credit memo.
Else you can also create a payment term for 30 day net and while entering credit memo you have to enter that payment term manully and also V in inv. ref. field to validate this payment term.
    Thanks

  • Duplication of credit memo

    Hi,
How can we check the duplication of credit memo.
In case of invoice we can do setting " Set Check for Duplicate Invoices". similarly do we have any facility to set check for the duplication of credit memo. my client wants the system to throw an error when a credit memo is entered with same reference no.
    Thanks in advancce.

    GP

Please refer to the SAP Library -> Logistics -> Material Management
->Logistics Invoice Verificaion -> Invoice Verfication Online ->
Balance -> Check for duplication of Invoice entry
"Only invoices are checked. When you enter credit memos or subsequent
debit or credits, the system does not check for duplicate invoices in
    logistics.
If a previously created document is canceled and then created again, the
system does not display a message."
Please read this documentation for further details on duplicate
    invoices.
Please refer to note 305201 - Description: Check for duplicate invoices
"In the invoice verification in MM, only invoices are checked"
If you want to check whether a corresponding credit memo has already
been entered when you enter credit memos, implement the modification

  • F-41 vs MIRO - duplicate credit memo not checked in MIRO

    Hi,
We used to do F-41 for credit memos to our suppliers. We recently decided to use MIRO instead. We realized that the system does not warn the user anymore when he tries to enter a duplicate credit memo.
In F-41, when we enter 2 credit memos with the same information:
    -Vendor
    -Currency
    -Company code
    -Gross amount of the invoice
    -Reference document number
    -Invoice document date
This error message appears: check whether document has already been entered under number ADM XXXXXXXXX XXXX.
Using MIRO, we don't get this error message anymore. We would like this message to appear also in MIRO.
    Is it a functional issue?
I checked the master data of the supplier, and the check box Chk double inv. is checked.
    Is it a configuration issue?
I checked t-code OMRDC and the 3 check box are marked with a check (check co. code, check reference, check inv. date).
I looked at SAP help and it says: When you enter credit memos or subsequent adjustments, the system does not check for duplicate invoices. I'm not so sure what this statement means....
    Many thanks for your help.

  • Quantity Credit memo

    Hi,
Below is our vendor return process:
    MIGO, GR- 10 pcs
    MIRO, IV - 10 pcs
MIGO, Vendor return (type movement 122) - 2 pcs
    MIRO, Credit memo - 2pcs
My problem is when I create the credit memo, no matter it references to PO or return delivery, it still showing 10 pcs, and have to manually change the qty and amount 2 pcs.
Is there any configuration or setting can link the item to the return qty 2 pcs when creating the credit memo?
    Regards,

    Hi,
At the time of entering Credit memo, it always proposes the IR qty which has already been posted because Credit memo is exactly reversal of Invoice.
If you do GR of 10 qty and before posting LIV, do return delivery of 2 qty and then post LIV, it will suggest you 8 qty.
So when you do entry of Credit memo, it will propose you 10 qty and you have to change it to 2 qty manually.

  • AR: Apply a debit memo to a credit memo - debit memo not showing on LOV

    Hello,
We are trying to apply a credit memo to a debit memo, but the debit memo does not show on the list of values on the Application form. We are doing as follows:
    1. Entered credit memo and completed
    2. Entered debit memo and completed (same customer that credit memo)
NOTE: Both transaction types are defined as "Not Post to GL" and "Not Open Receivable"
    3. Query credit memo on transactions
    4. On the credit memo, go to Actions - Applications
    5. Hit the list of values on Apply To field
    6. Our debit memo does not show on that lov. (but another debit memo - defined as Post to GL and Open Receivable as Yes and an invoice are showing)
    So, the basic questions are:
    - The debit memo transaction type defined as Post to GL and Open Receivable set to No is causing this situation?
    - Is this standard functionality or are we missing some steps?
By the way, we are on 11.5.10.2
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards.
    Enrique

    Hi Octavio
Thanks again. Allow me to illustrate the work-around I have in mind with an example:
    Invoice1 $100 - Invoice payable to supplier by OU1
Debit Memo1 ( $20) - Debit memo (or credit memo) deductible from supplier payments in OU2
    Net Payable to supplier $80
    Step 1
Make a payment of $20 invoice1 from a dummy bank account in OU1:
    Dr Supplier liability $20
    Cr Dummy Bank Account $20
    Step 2
Make a payment of remaining $80 to supplier.
    Step 3
    Cancel debit memo1 in OU2:
    Dr Expense Account $20
    Cr Supplier Liability $20
    Step 4
Transfer of dummy payment to OU2
    Dr Dummy Bank Account $20
    Cr Expense Account $20
The debit memo is therefore fully accounted for, but this has required 3 additional steps.
    Thanks.

  • Credit memo with PO

    Hi,
user entered credit memos on P.O. 4500XXXXXX for the amounts of
    $49.00,
    $288.00,
    $144.00
    and $317.00
for a total of $798.00 credit due.
The credits were deducted for $30.77, $180.82, $90.41 and $180.82 for a total of $501.03. There
is a difference of $296.97 showing on the P.O. history. can you Please advise why the
total amount of the credits due for $798.00 did not post for payment ?
    Regards,
    Jaheer

    Hi,
user entered 4 credit memos as
highlighted in yellow for a total of $798.00.  The amount that I have
circled $499.79 is what ERS deducted leaving a difference of $296.97.
For me yellow color values are qty not amount? Am I right?

but we cancelled it in current year i.e., 2011-12 now we facing inventory value incorrectly at the end of 2010-11 year, so that we require rectification of the wrongly entered credit memo.plz answered ASAP.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
You can make on emore invoice for quantity and amount as per credit memo in the same year.It will knock off the impact of credit memo.
You can pass JE for amount impact in last year and can post goods issue /Reciept for inventory movement

  • Credit Memo Processing- FB75 and F-30 or F-26

    Hello Folks-
I need some help.  When I execute FB75 against a sales tax code, I have no problem and it posts the document.  When I execute F-30 or F-26 and try to hit the same code using a 40 posting key, it is requiring a tax code and tax jurisdiction which I have but it is requiring "enter base amount or let the system calculate it".  When I try to manipulate it by entering the amount in the base amount field I get the following error message"Tax Code 01 may only contain one assignment."
What am I doing wrong here?  Why can't I use the same tax code and jurisdiction in another transaction code?  In addition, is this the best t-code to use when handling credit memo's.  I had heard there is a t-code out there that requires the user to input an invoice number to clear against but I haven't found it.
Any help would be appreciated.  I will award points!
    Thanks!

    Hi Michael,
I am no finance expert, for a start and i dont want to repeat again and again the idea of creating transaction variants (i see in quite a few threads that the experts seem to have a penchant for this and personally it is my least preferred option
Anyway, coming to the discussion - i would prefer having more granular transactions as Julius mentioned
Go to SE38, enter the program name SAPMF05A (this is what is called when FB05 is used) then click on the where used list (CtrlShiftF3), de-select all options and select the option for transactions, you will get a list of transactions that use the program and it lists the granular transactions for FB05 (ex: FB60 for Incoming Invoices)
I would like to think, that we can restrcit the access to different "Buttons" based on a few basic principles (it is only a idea, i didnt try it) The different radio buttons signify different activities Accounts payable & Accounts receivable, so it should be for customers and Vendors - make a restriction on the account types (F_BKPF_KOA) in the role that has FB05, you can also make restriction on what kind of documents are processsed based on the document types (F_BKPF_BLA) used in FB05 - that could be a option, Ideally the customer invoices would be a different document type than the vendor invoices, isnt it?
There is no harm in giving it a try - so go ahead and try in the Development system. see how it goes..............
Good luck and dont shoot me if it doesnt work (or) if you already tried all these options

  • How to enter a credit memo with the funds returning to the PO

    Hi Guys,
This is my first post on here, not sure if I am posting this question in the correct area however hope you can help.
I have a number of credit notes from a vendor which need to be entered, we usually enter these in MIRO which is fine but what I am after is how to enter these credit notes so the funds return to the Purchase Order for further use.
For example, say the limits on the PO looked like this:
    Overall limit: 10,000
    Expected Value: 10,000
    Actual Value: 10,000
So we have had invoices for the entire 10,000. Is there a way I can enter a credit for say 5,000 so the limits would then look like:
    Overall limit: 10,000
    Expected Value: 10,000
    Actual Value: 5,000
We are hoping there is a way so we can avoid having the PR/PO increased, which has also gone above the contract ceiling.
Usually with credits we would enter them as a credit memo if we wanted to change the qty and price, and a sub credit if we just needed to amend the price leaving the qty as is. By doing it this way the funds don't actually return to the PO like in the example above, what does happen is when we pull up the PO in MIRO we can access the "credited" funds at that time. We would like to see the funds back on the actual PO, not sure if this can be done though, any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thankyou

    Hello Pistol,
This question is related to PO's then it belongs in one of the FI forums.
This is the forum for SAP Solution Manager which is the software SAP's support strategy is based upon.
You have posted in the wrong forum.
I would recommend closing this thread, and looking for a more appropriate forum to raise this question.
    I hope this is helpful.

  • Enter sold-to party debit memo request - credit memo request

    Hi Gurus,
I have a scenario here while creating a Debit memo request.
    1. I create a Debit memo request with sold-to party 1000
    2. I create a Credit memo request with the same sold-to party 1000.
    That will be saved,
but when you enter VA02 or VA03 for CMR, a message displays "Enter a Sold-to Party".
So in VA02, I will refill it with Sold-to party 1000, then I can save it.  But when I view it again, I will encounter the same message again.
However, if I use a different sold-to party 2000, the CMR will be saved normally, and if you view it via VA02, you will see it is correct (you can see sold-to party 2000).
Why?  Cant I use the same sold-to party for DMR to CMR?
    Please help....
