FB 75 credit memo through BDC......

Hi Gurus,
My client want BDC for credit memo(FB75),.
Requirement is---
He is giving credit memo to n number of customers monthly, the entry is
CR customer(GL 100)
DR rebates(GL 200)
GL 200 is assigned in OKB9, TO CO-PA,cost element category is 12.
while posting this entry need to enter customer and product, becuse he want report at product and customer level in CO-PA.
Adition that the want to load these amount based on region,sector and AM level also.
It is possible to post this transaction through BDC and
if enter custmor manually it is possible to derive fields AM, REGION AND SECTOR from customer master AUTOMATIALLY THrough any developemnt....
Please suggest it is possible ornot, because while posting this entry we are getting adittinal screen(profitability screen)....pls suggest...

You can use any of the 2 BAPIs BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING_POST / BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST
Here, you can use FM 'COPA_PROFITABILITY_SEGMENT' to populate the Prof segment
You can also create a Char group in KEPA and assign it to Busn Transaction in KE4G or to a specific GL account using exit COPA0003

    I need to create a credit memo through 'Payables Open Interface Import' program. It also needs to populate 'Credited Invoice' number with the standard invoice number (which is again created through the Open Interface).
    Issues:
    1) Which filed in AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE should be populated to hold the 'Credited Invoice' number ?
    2) Both standard invoice and credit memo invoice are created through single lauch of 'Payables Open Iterface' program. So, referred standard invoice will be in 'Never valdiated' status by the time credit memo is created. But 'Credited Invoice' takes only validated standard invoice numbers. So, do not know how it works out.
    Any inputs on this would be highly helpful !

    You'll find the relationship using:
    select cm.trx_number, trx.trx_number
    from ra_customer_trx_all cm,
    ra_customer_trx_all trx
    where cm.previous_customer_trx_id = trx.customer_trx_id
    When you create an on-account credit memo (both open receivable or not), apps stores the credited transaction id in the column previous_customer_trx_id of the created credit memo.
    You create on-account credit memos by creating referenced RMAs or in transactions form, by going to Actions->Credit.

    You can link AR Invoice and AR Credit memo through internal reconciliation for that customer.
    Go to banking --> bank reconciliation --> Automatic Reconciliation --> internal reconciliation.

  • DTW Error A/R Credit Memos

    Hello guys!
    I got a problem while trying to upload A/R Credit Memos through Data Transfer Workbench. It shows an error message inthe DTW Error Log: "Cannot add invoice with zero total and deferred tax http://ORIN.DocTotalApplication-Defined or Object-Defined erroroCreditNotes".
    I am using the Document, Document_Lines and Batches files to upload and there is no record with zero in the lines nor the total
    I tried unselecting the deferred tax checkbox for all Business Partners and still doesnt work.
    Got any ideas what can it be or how can I solve the Problem?? I´d appreciate your help tremendously!!!

    Try to omit DocTotal on the header file. That is a calculated field. What is your B1 version and PL?

    Thanks Rahul, the document_lines have the tax code and total alright, I believe probably it has to do with some tax configuration or something, but still I dont know which one may and if this is the real cause. What do you think??

  • MIRO subsequent Credit Memo

    Hello Everyone,
    When I am posting a subsequent credit memo through MIRO for a Purchase Order with account  assignment category Asset,
    I am getting the following error message
    "Balance for transaction type group 10 negative for the area 01
    Diagnosis
    With the transaction entered, the balance for the transactions in group 10 in area 01 will be negative in this fiscal year. However, the balance of transaction type group 10, according to its definition, must be positive in each fiscal year.
    System Response
    The system rejects this posting.
    Procedure
    Check the transaction type, the amount and the fiscal year in your posting. If you want to post a credit memo to an acquisition from the previous year, then use a transaction type for a retirement. If necessary, you can change balance rules after talking with your SAP consultant".
    Can you please let me how to change the Transaction type in MIRO or how to go abt this issue.

    Good evening and greetings,
    The solution for your problem is as below
    For this posting change the +/- sign allowed for the transaction type group to '*'.
    First you must activate the maintenance of the table in the ABAP dictionary for table TABWG (transaction SE11).
    You should then call transaction SE16. Enter table TABWG and select the affected transaction type group. Set the value '*' in field VZJSA.
    Once you have made the posting, you should decide whether you want to set the /- sign check again (VZJSA = ''), or whether a negative balance should continue to be allowed for this transaction type group.
    Alternatively, you can also change the proposed transaction type for the invoice receipt of affiliated companies. To do this, go to IMG Asset Accounting -> Transactions -> Determine transaction type for internal transactions.
    Instead of transaction type 152, enter transaction type 151 there under 'Acquisition from invoice receipt (affiliated)'.
    Check whether transaction type 151 in your system corresponds to the transaction type 151 described in note 327088.
    This is as per SAP OSS Note 139899 - AA629 when posting MR01/MRHR/MIRO invoice receipt

  • Asset Credit Memo Issue

    The problem with doing an FB60 credit memo is that these PO and invoice documents are against an asset. I do not believe you can post directly to those accounts. How do i debit what we owe the vendor and credit the amount that has been posted to the asset? That is why I tried to enter a credit memo through MIRO instead of FB60.
    We also have an order that I need to enter a credit memo for, it was invoiced through F-90, but since it is also against an asset I am not sure how to enter the credit correctly.

    What is the problem you are facing posting credit memo to PO ?
    You can make Asset as account assignemnt category for PO, This will allow posting to asset.

  • Withholding Tax in FB75 Recording - Creation of Credit Memo

    Hi Xperts,
      Here I have one problem while Creating Credit Memo using BDC.
            - I am trying to write a BDC for transaction FB75 ( Creation of Credit Memo)
            - All things are going fine except Withholding Tax part.
            - Transaction FB75 have a Tab "Withholding Tax".
            - Here, there is a Table control with 6 rows.
            - While creating Credit Memo it populate this table control with Withholding  taxes.
            - The main task is,<b>Based on certain condition, I want to clear few Withholding tax values.</b>
            - If This table control has only 6 rows populated, then there is no orblem.
            - But in case of more then 6 withholding tax values i need to scroll down and process, however, that again we can do using p++ or P+ things.
            - Problem is, in this case we are not able to scroll down or page down which create a problem in accessing other rows.
            - What would b the solution......?

    If the price calculated for the customer was too high (for example, with the wrong scaled prices or because a discount was forgotten), you can create a credit memo request. The credit memo request can be automatically blocked for checking. Once it has been approved, you can remove the block.
    The system uses the credit memo request to create a credit memo.

    I am trying to cancel Invoice document(Credit Memo) through MR8M transaction. While processing, system is issuing error message (M8 534) as Balance not Zero: & debits : & Credits. But being its saying in initial screen of MR8M, i dont know where to change the amount.

    Other way around to cancel an invoice is to issue credit memo, In MIRO click credit memo, then date, then reference to PO, put in the amount then hit post, your invoice will be cancelled by issuing credit memo
    MR8M also issues credit memo, by cancelling the invoice, and so does MIRO when you create credit memo against PO, the invoice is reversed

    In MIRO, just do invoice for reversing the credit memo and make sure correct periods are used.

  • Credit memo - Blocked for payment

    Prior to the Posting of FI document for Credit memo through FV60 or FB60, I want the field "Pmnt Block" to be changed to "Blocked for Payment" .
    How can this be done?

    Yes,its related to workflow.
    We have the workflow through which we post the FI document.
    After th approval at all levels, the document is posted automatically.
    I want to change the field 'Pmnt Block' to "Blocked for payment" prior to the
    posting of the document.

The system uses the debit memo request to create a debit memo.
    Credit Memo - A transaction that reduces Amounts Receivable from a customer is a credit memo. For eg. The customer could return damaged goods. A debit memo is a transaction that reduces Amounts Payable to a vendor because, you send damaged goods back to your vendor.
    Credit memo request is a sales document used in complaints processing to request a credit memo for a customer. If the price calculated for the customer is too high, for example, because the wrong scale prices were used or a discount was forgotten, you can create a credit memo request. The credit memo request is blocked for further processing so that it can be checked. If the request is approved, you can remove the block. The system uses the credit memo request to create a credit memo.
    T.codes FB75 or FB70
    To create Credit / Debit Memo request:
    - Use the same procedure that you use for Creating Sales Orders i.d T Code VA01
    - Give Order Type as CR for Credit Memo and DR for Debit Memo reuest
    While creating the request you have to enter Customer Number, Reason for the request. and Material and its quantity. Once the credit or debit memo request is released you can create credit or debit memo. The credit memo request will be automatically blocked for checking with Billing Block 08 (to check credit memo) & 09 (to check debit memo) for the sales order type “CR”

    i would like to use a seperate document type for credit memos posted with MIR0 compared to RE for invoices. I created a new Z transaction. And now I thought that I could enter this new transaction code in OMR4 (tablle V_169F), but I can not add a new customised transaction in this list. What can I do?
    Or is there an other way to have another document type for credit memos?

    You can create a new document type for credit memo through t code OBA7. Once the T code is created with all necessary parameters you can assign this to MIRO transaction.
    You cannot create a customised transaction through OMR4. This is meant for assigning the Doc type to Invoice verification

    In an scenarion like 4% CSt was charged and billed to customer but if C from not being received then we need to rasie credit memo for differential tax i.e 12.5% so 4% already charged now how to rasie credit memo for balance 8.5% now ...via credit memo..
    we cannot reverse the bill already given to client.

    This we have done before in my project. Consider you have order with 100 rs. Then tax was supposed to be 4 rs. But due to C form not received it is 12.5 rs. Now 8.5 rs needs to be credited to customer.
    Now if u raise a credit memo of 8.5 again tax will be determined on it which will be 4% which will make 0.34 more being credited to customer. But you may think if the credit memo is created for 8.5/1.04 = 8.17 then total inclusive of tax will be 8.5. But again this will not be correct as you have tax again coming in picture.
    Hence in this scenario you can give a credit memo through SD module. You will need to create credit memo for the customer for tax using FICO module using tcode F-27.

    I am facing one problem in ar credit memo, when iam trying to do an AR credit memo for ARinvoice which have items with serial no., while adding the AR Credit memo the serial no selection window apperas and i selected the serial no and moved inward , updated and given add again the AR credit memo throughs again that serial no selection Window.
    wat will be the problem i am not able trace it out. Normally if u once select and if we made inward the serial no then AR Credit memo will add but now its not happening.

    Dear Giri,
    I would suggest you to check if there is a difference between the quantity in stock and the serial  numbers available. If the item is managed by serial number on every transaction no discrepancies should be found.
    Also, read notes n. 1289721, 1281131, 1279267 and 1289794.
    Please, also consider that up to version 2005a sp01 pl 18 it was possible to switch on and off the option managed by serial number.
    Please, if a note or the above scenario describe the situation in your database open a message.
