Enter Vendor Invoice - SAP T.Code FB60

We have received an invoice from vendor for supplies and we do not have a purchase order for this invoice. We proceed to account through SAP T.Code FB60.
The vendor should have charged sales tax but has not. While accounting the invoice we want to record accrual for self assessed use tax.
The system calculates the tax but assumes the invoice value is inclusive of use tax. But we know that the price is exclusive of tax and hence we need to make an additional accrual for sales tax and debit the supplies expense account.
Can this be done? Is this how other SAP run business record this transaction?

I will give an example to make my query more clear.
Vendor invoice 5000, Rate of tax 7% , Entry psoted by system:
Dr Expenses for supplies a/c 4,672.90
Dr Sales Tax Payable a/c         327.10
Cr Vendor a/c                       5,000.00
Entry required:
Dr Expesnes for Supplies a/c 5350
Cr Vendor a/c                       5000
Cr Sales Tax Payable a/c        350

  • Creating a vendor invoice by t.code F-02 ...

    Hi All,
Creating a vendor invoice by t.code F-02 and choosing the Posting Key 29, and the Special G/L Indicator "A", SAP selects automatically the Payment Block Key "A".
    Why does it happen?
    Could anyone advice me?
    Thanks

    Hi,
In case of special G/L indicators for down payment, the payment block and due date are editable fields at the time of document entry so that it can then be used for processing by the automatic payment program.
You can remove the block at the time of document entry.

  • Parking the vendor invoice with T Code MIR7

    Dear all
I wanted to park the vendor invoice with T code MIR7(New Version) similar to MR41(Old Version).
But the constrain is that I want to have two line items for one GR\IR clearing.
Suppose my GR/IR is 100 then I want to the vendor credit one with 75 and another with 25 for the same line item of the PO.
    Please do the needful.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Profit centre option for vendor while using t code FB60

    Dear Sap experts,
I am trying to post a document using the t code FB60 and while defining the vendor account X and the GL account Y, but when the line items are specified in the GL, as the cost element is mandatory, the cost center 130000 is defined, and the profit center 1300 is assigned to the above cost center.
    Since, the cost center may differ depending on the nature of the transaction, so will the profit center assigned to the cost center will change, but i would want the same profit center that is assigned to the GL account to be populated { example if i use the profit center 1300 for the GL, same should be populated for the vendor, if i use the profit center 1100, the same should be populated for the vendor}
Since fb60 does not allow you to post the profit center /  cost center directly to the vendor account, this is just being little hurdle in arriving at my requirement
Kindly let me know if i may have missed any process or otherwise that i need to follow to meet my requirement.
    Thanks
    Ganesh.S

it's a bit weird what you are trying to do... the link cost center - profit center is there not to be abused....
whey not use segment or internal order for this?
or use a group of profit centers to build your details.
or cycle or distrubute the amounts on the account.
I believe that the substitution comes after OKB9, you could use that.

    Hi all,
I am trying to do a vendor invoice through F-43.
    I entered all the details.
In Tax data while i am selecting GOTO in menu bar, the DETAILS button is grey out.
i want that option to work.
where is the setting for this.
    Thanx in advance
    Regards

    Dear Mr KK
I believe you are trying to post vendor invoice along with service tax or sales tax
when ever you post such transcations
1 you need to select proper tax code along with Tax Juridiction
2 Tick on Calculate Tax Check box (that button is available beside Tax Code)

  • Error during entering Vendor Invoice

    Experts,
I created a new tax code - assigned a tax procedure to it ( Already assigned the tax calculation procedure to the country) and assigned g/l accounts to the tax code.
However, when i enter a vendor invoice, i get the error:
    Specify a Tax Jurisdiction Key
    Message # F5 566
We basically use taxware(external system) for our tax purposes - and the tax procedure is assigned to the taxware system ( Table TTXD) and this would be determining the tax jurisdiction key - Am i right in saying that ?
How do i overcome this error ?
All answers would be duly appreciated and rewarded with points.
    Thanks,
    Nandita

can you check in spro, under external tax calculation whether the logical destination is defined ( SM59) and this is assigned ( under activate external tax calculation) to your tax calculation procedure which should be TAXUSX. Also check in OBBG if TAXUSX is assigned to your country.
    Thanks,

  • FI vendor invoice PARKING for transaction FB60

    hi all
I have a requirement of parking FI invoice for transaction FB60 and after searching this
forum I have noticed following points.
    1) For parking FI invoice in FB60 there is no BAPI available.
    2) BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_PARK and MRM_INVOICE_PARK are for parking MM invoice with ref. to PO
Or without PO for transaction MIRO and MIR7, so it can not be used for parking FI invoice in
    FB60.
    3) We can post the FI invoice in FB60 using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST but can’t park the document.
    3) Direct input program RFBIBL00 can also be used for posing FI invoice in FB60 but not for parking invoice.
    4) The only way to park the FI invoice in FB60 is to write BDC program for FB60.
These  are my observations i might be wrong at some place. We are on SAP ECC 6.0 and it will be very helpful if I can get solution from u gurus about some BAPI or FM which can Park FI invoice  (not MM invoice) in FB60.

    Hi,
I wamt to use BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_PARK or MRM_INVOICE_PARK to parking MM invoice with ref. to PO
for transaction  MIR7. Kindly provide me a sample code for how to use this function modules.
because editior is one of the i/p for this function module. in MIR7 they user MRM_INVOICE_PARK  function module, but how to use this function module alone..

    FI_AP_FBR2_Post_With_Reference (FBR2)
    Business Process Description Overview
Use this procedure to copy a previously posted non-PO invoice document that uses many of the same values.
This may help reduce data entry time if used correctly.  For example, the library invoice vouchers that have the same vendor but many invoices on them might be a good example of when to use this transaction code.
    Trigger
Perform this procedure when there is an invoice that needs to have data entered where most of the fields are the same as a prior invoice document already entered in the system.
    Prerequisites
    ·         Security Role:  AP_DIR_INV_ENTRY
    ·         An FB60 invoice has already been data entered.
    Menu Path
    None
    Transaction Code
    FBR2
    Tips and Tricks
    ·         If you would like to save this transaction under your "Favorites" folder, right-click on the "Favorites" folder, select "Insert Transaction" and type in this t-code when the box appears.
    ·         You may use the transaction code:  search_sap_menu to search for a transaction codes menu path.
    Procedure
Enter Vendor Invoice: Company Code PUR
Typically the FBR2 - Post With Reference transaction is accessed from the Financial transaction code that you just used.  For Accounts Payable, typically we would use the FB60 transaction code to enter invoices that are not PO-related.  After you have entered an invoice, you can now post a second invoice.  Feel free to post an invoice in DEV to the Vendor ID number:  31.  Choose today's date as the Invoice Date.  Enter a Vendor Invoice in the Reference Field. Enter $1000 as the Amount.  Enter a Text that you want to show on the remittance advice to the vendor.  Choose your own GL Account and Cost Center.  Enter 21010000 as the Fund.  Make sure to also enter $1000 in the Amount in doc. curr. field.
Please be aware that the FB60 screenshot above is using the ZPurdue Variant so unless you are also using that same variant the order of your columns may differ.
Refer to FB60 documentation for more information regarding entering a non-PO related invoice.
After an invoice has been entered, you may proceed to step 1.  If you prefer not to enter an FB60 invoice then after you open FB60, immediately do step 1, but enter "1900001354" in the Document Number field.
    1.       Select Goto Post with reference           Shift+F9 to go to the FBR2 transaction.
    Post Document: Header Data
The document number you just entered in FB60 should now display.  If you did not first enter your own FB60 invoice, please enter 1900001354 in the Document Number field.  Make sure Company Code is PUR and Fiscal Year is 2007.
If you did enter your own FB60 invoice to reference to, please be aware that the data entry fields will have different content in the screen shots than what you are seeing on your screen.
    2.       Click  or the "Enter" key to proceed.
    Post Document: Header Data
Because we want to avoid paying the same invoice twice, we must change the reference field to another Vendor Invoice text.
    3.       As required, complete/review the following fields:
    Field Name
    R/O/C
    Description
    Reference
    R
Allows for further clarification of an entry by reference to other sources of information, either internal or external to SAP.  Any SAP-posted document number can be used as a "reference" when entering a new document.
    Example:          VENDORINVOICE#2
Your reference number should be different than the one above.  Otherwise, the system will think you are entering a duplicate invoice.  Please change your text slightly.
    Post Document: Header Data
    4.       Click  or the "Enter" key to proceed.
    Post Document Display Overview
You are now viewing the document overview screen.
    5.       Double-click  to open that line item.
    Post Document Correct Vendor item
When you open the Vendor line item, you may change the Text field here to change what appears on the remittance advice.
    6.       As required, complete/review the following fields:
    Field Name
    R/O/C
    Description
    Text
    O
    Description field for an entry.
Example:          prints on remittance advice - for second invoice
    Post Document Correct Vendor item
    7.       Click  to return to the document overview screen.
    Post Document Display Overview
    The document overview screen.
    8.       Click  to post this second invoice which has the same fields as the original except a different vendor invoice number and a different remittance advice text.
    Information
Pending upon your user settings, you may not get this pop up box, but just a message in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
    9.       Click  to close the box.
Enter Vendor Invoice: Company Code PUR
Because you used the menu (Goto Post with reference) from FB60 to access the FBR2 transaction code, you are then returned to the FB60 transaction after you have posted the invoice.
    10.     Another way to access FBR2 is to just type the t-code in the field at the top of the screen.  As required, complete/review the following fields:
    Field Name
    R/O/C
    Description
    Transaction Code
    R
A unique four-character (in most cases) identification assigned to each SAP transaction based on its purpose.
    Example:          /nfbr2
    11.     Click  or the "Enter" key to proceed.
    Post Document: Header Data
The FBR2 transaction code opens with the last document number entered as the default.
    12.     Click  or the "Enter" key to proceed.
    Post Document: Header Data
This time we will change the vendor number
    13.     Change the Reference field.  As required, complete/review the following fields:
    Field Name
    R/O/C
    Description
    Reference
    R
Allows for further clarification of an entry by reference to other sources of information, either internal or external to SAP.  Any SAP-posted document number can be used as a "reference" when entering a new document.
    Example:          VENDORINVOICE
Your reference number should be different than the one above.  Otherwise, the system will think you are entering a duplicate invoice.  Please change your text slightly.
    Post Document: Header Data
    14.     As required, complete/review the following fields:
    Field Name
    R/O/C
    Description
    Account
    R
Unique identification number. SAP uses several kinds of accounts. SAP's general ledger accounts are similar to standard in most accounting systems. SAP also uses sub-ledger accounts for customers (accounts receivable), vendors (accounts payable), and assets (asset accounts). These sub-ledger accounts roll-up to a general ledger account.
    Example:          5000129
Vendor 5000129 in DEV has withholding tax applied to it in the vendor master.
    Post Document: Header Data
    15.     Click  or the "Enter" key to proceed.
    Post Document Add Vendor item
If the vendor invoice date was a date in the past, the due date for pay immediately will be in the past.  You may get the above informational message to alert you of the date.  If you do, just hit the "Enter" key to acknowledge it.
    Enter Withholding Tax Information
Because this vendor has withholding tax information in its vendor master, you will receive this popup up box.
    16.     Click  to accept it.
Refer to the Tax Department for more information regarding withholding tax.
    Post Document Display Overview
You should now see the document overview screen.  If you do not, then click on .
    17.     Double-click  OR click  to open it.
    Post Document Correct Vendor item
    18.     As required, complete/review the following fields:
    Field Name
    R/O/C
    Description
    Text
    O
    Description field for an entry.
    Example:          change remittance advice text
    Post Document Correct Vendor item
    19.     Click  to view that Vendor's Withholding tax information again.
    Enter Withholding Tax Information
If for some reason, for this invoice the vendor should not have any withholdings, you would enter a 0.00 in both the W/Tax Base and W/Tax Amt fields.
When using the FBR2 to change withholding tax amounts, you need to be very careful if using this new invoice as the "reference" invoice for the next one.  For example, if you put 0.00 in both W/Tax Base and W/Tax Amt fields then if this is the reference invoice, those 0.00 amounts will automatically be applied to the next; however, you won't see the 0.00 displayed.  The 0.00 will be assumed.
    20.     Click  to close the box.
    Post Document Correct Vendor item
    21.     Click  to post the invoice.
    Post Document: Header Data
Your new document number will display in the bottom left hand corner.  Pending upon your user settings, you may also get a pop up box to acknowledge.
You have posted another invoice, but this time you changed the vendor ID used, the vendor invoice, and the text on the remittance advice.
Notice that the "Document Number" field now defaults to the newly posted invoice number.
Because you entered FBR2 in the transaction code field to access this screen, when you post an invoice you are returned to the beginning of the FBR2 screen.  Remember, when you accessed it from the menu line of FB60?  If you access it that way, you are then returned to FB60 after the Post with Reference document is posted.
    22.     Because you are returned to the start of FBR2 again, you may just click  or the "Enter" key to proceed.
    Post Document: Header Data
Now you are at the start of entering a new invoice again.
    23.     Click  to return to the main menu without finishing the process of entering another invoice.
    24.     You have completed this transaction.
    Result
You have posted two documents by using a reference document.  This reduced the data entry required since it defaults the fields from the reference document.
    Comments
Be very careful using this transaction if you change withholding tax amounts.
To see the results/calculations of discounts and withholdings, you must run F110, the Payment Program.

  • Standard IDoc Type for Inbound NonPO Vendor Invoices - FB60

What should be the perfect standard IDoc Type for Inbound NonPO Vendor Invoice posting. Tcode FB60.
I found IDoc Type FIDCCP02 but the Function Module 'IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC2' for FIDCCP02 is not released.
In the same way many other standard function modules like - IDOC_INPUT_ACLPAY, IDOC_INPUT_FIDCCH, IDOC_INPUT_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT and few more are not released.
My question : If at all I have to use standard IDoc Type, Message type and Function module (Released) for Inbound NonPO Vendor Invoices, then what should be the solution from SAP ?
    Thanks,
    Veeru.

    Hi,
IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC2 for FIDCCP02 works for us in ECC6.0
If you want Automatic tax calculation functionality using FIDCCP02.. then FIDCC2 is not correct message type for you. In that case you should probably go for :
    Msg: INVOIC
    Basic type: INVOIC02
    FM: IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_FI
    Process code: INVF
    Thanks,

  • Default profit center when posting vendor invoices thru MIRO, FB60 and FB65

Hi,you need to customize doc splitting.
1.You need to clasify all accounts from future document in  Document Splitting-Classify G/L Accounts for Document Splitting(e.g. all accounts 2000) 03000-VENDOR.
2.in IMG: Classify Document Types for Document Splitting    check for Document type  transaction and Variant (e.g. Doc=KR, Trans.=1010, Variant= 0001)
3.In IMG:  Activate Document Splitting   check  assigned method(e.g. 000012)
    4. in IMG- Document Splitting-Extended Document Splitting-Define Document Splitting Rule
For find your method and transaction(e.g. Method=00012, trans.=1010) and double click on Item categories(on left of the top of screen)
There'd be record with category from first step (e.g. Cat.=0300), select one and double click on Base item cat. - there'd be Category 0300 and with check box Automatically split.
    I hope it'd be helpful
