EPM 11.1.1.3 Load automatically a file in Explorer

Hi,
I have a batch that is generating a text file everyday. In order to give it to users, I load it manually into EPM Worksapce in the Explorer session.
I'm looking for a way to load it automatically. Is there a way to do it (using batch or commands...) ?

I have two problems :
- First the file isn't overwrite, a second file with the same name is added
- Second permissions rights are not given.
The purpose is to upload automatically every x minute a file.

You need to use file:// as the protocol instead of C:/. The latter may never work (C:\ might).
Where is the main HTML located ?
Easiest if to store the images in a sub folder of the location because you can't go back via ../ beyond that root location for security reasons.

The url is sometingh like this (this is correctly loaded, but it could be longer)

Firefox should have problems with long GET data appended to an URL (long would be over 64k).<br />
If there are problems then it is possible that an extension is the cause of that.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Flat file loading... how to automate the loading of multiple files

HI Alll,
I'm wondering if it's possible to create a routine that automates the loading of several flat files into a PSA table.
I only want a single info package, and I would like this info package to load file 1, then load file 2, file 3 etc etc....
The alternative is to create info packages for each flat file, but this seems clunky and inefficient.
Is this possible?

Hi,
It is not possible with single infopackage. you have to create different infopackages. But you can put it in process chain in sequence to load different flat files.

Standard variant of SAP query is loaded automatically

I have created SAP query and standard variant via SQ01.
When I run my query (via transaction) values of variant are loaded automatically in a selection screen and in my case I need empty selection screen at the beginning and values should appear in a selection screen only after choosing a variant, but not before this.
Probably it is something about attributes of variant? Any ideas?

What type of custom transaction code did you create?
Was Dialog Transaction or Report Transaction?
For your purpose, you can create with dialog transaction with specifying program name and screen number. If you want to execute with specific variant then choose report transaction.

In addition to process chains, Real-Time Data Acquisition may help you to meet your requirement. I don't have idea on the setting for this as i m not using the NW2004s BI system since 6months.

When restoring a session, tabs won't load automatically. How do I fix this?

This happens every time I restore my session: whenever I restore my session, instead of loading each tab automatically like it's supposed to do, it only loads the tab I'm on & SOME of the others, so I have to go to each tab (a lot of them) and then the pages load. This is extremely frustrating and is such a waste of time! How do I get EVERY tab to load automatically? This has been driving me nuts! Please help! Thanks. Also, it STILL happens in Safe Mode (I tested that in December). I also have my settings correct (says for the browser to load tabs automatically. Please help!

Then go to Firefox > Options > Tabs, and uncheck "Don't load tabs until selected"

I've been using my Iphones together with my Win PC / Outlook for several months.
No problems.
Since a few days, there's always the problem, that the "i-cloud-Outlook-Add-in" is not
loaded automatically, when I start Outlook.
Manual activiation (via Options -> Add-In --> Com Add-in --> tick in the box at "i-Cloud ...")
works perfect.
I've checked the registry entry "LoadBehaviour": 3 --> correct value, in my opinion.
Any ideas, how to get outlook to load the icloud add-in automatically at startup?

I just had a user call in with this exact same problem. The steps that I took to resolve the issue are as follows:
1. Ran a repair on office installation and rebooted computer. (Not sure if this was nesary).
2. In Outlook go to File-Options-Add-Ins. Below for Manage COM Add-ins click the Go button.
3. find iCloud add-in and check it off to enable it. Click on OK until your back at outlook.
4. Close and relaunch outlook. Go back to File-Options-Add-Ins and down at the Manage change the dropdown to "Disabled Items".
5. Choose the iCloud.dll checkbox and click on enable.
6. Close outlook and reopen. You should now see the ribbon for iCloud sync.

It looks like the developer's of that app, or Apple, have got the wrong search name for it in the store - you could try contacting the developer and pointing it out to them so that they can get it corrected. Currently it looks like you can only find the app either by using the link (as you've included in your post), or by searching for the developer's name (Page Foundry Inc) in the store.
For searching the store, when you search for something then the first result(s) should be those whose title matches what you searched for - so if you search for 'ebook reader' then as there is an app with that exact name it will be first in the results, other apps will then be listed after it.

My advice is to stick with Firefox 3.6.x for a while yet, it is still supported.
Otherwise, see the Zotero website for advice about their program and updating to Firefox 5.0 (or 6.0 when it is released in 3 weeks).

Bookmark Loading automatically in Safari

Help needed, whenever I launch Safari, the bookmarks opens and I have to hit DONE to get rid of it to type in the address bar or search in Google. Is there any way to stop this bookmark loading automatically. Its frustrating!

I have it working now. I compared the code to another working example and saw that the only difference was that the xml file was not contained in a subdirectory. Once I placed the xml file in the same location as the SWF and changed the code accordingly, the file loaded. Weird.
