HI,
When I click on InstallTool it runs fine,all the pre-requisites are met.We have AIX V 6.1
But WE have this: cmd promt has the following information.
I am trying to install essbase client.

InstallTool.sh error on Essbase 11.1.1.3 on AIX 6.1
We received a new replacement server and it has AIX 6.1 running. The old server is AIX 5.3. I copied the install directory over to the new machine, edited the installTool.sh to put the new path in, and tried running installTool.sh -console. After you put all the inputs in it's supposed to start the install, but instead it produces the error below and does not create log files. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you do this manually?
By Creating New Database in the Physical Layer and there in the Database Type selecting Essbase 11. Try this way and let us know the output.

Installation 11.1.2 (32 bit binaries) on win 64 bit server
Hi,
I downloaded 11.1.2 and extarcted in one folder.
double click on InstallTool.cmd---> error
"windows cannot find 'D:Hyperion11.1.2\jre\winAMD64\1.6.0\bin\java'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again. to search for a file, click the stsrt button, and then click search"
Any suggestion where i made mistake.
Server 2003 R2 SP1 x64
Is this related to SP2
While same is working with another server win 2003 SP2 R2.

Does anyone know how to resolve Financial Management service validation error from EPM Diagnostic Report?

Quad-Core AMD Processor 2.2 GHz (Server Machine)
5 GB RAM
Server 2003 Standard 32-Bit SP2 (also tried in Enterprise)
Application Server:
WebLogic Server 9.2 Custom Installation (with Add-Ins)

Financial Management, Planning, Financial Reporting and Web Analysis (primarily interested in FM)

The following are the sequences of steps carried out during the Installation and Configuration of EPM:
1) Installed the Server along with its respective SP2 – Shutdown the machine
2) Assigned IP and DNS addresses
3) Installed Window components by ticking Application Server Console, Enable COM+ access, IIS and DNS
4) Run “dcpromo” to create a Domain Controller with default values and assigned a domain name – Shutdown the machine
5) Installed Weblogic Server 9.2 and configure it using Configuration Wizard – Selected “test environment” and ticked default “listening port” – Shutdown the machine
6) Basic installation of Oracle Database 10gR2 using Step-by-Step guide provided by Oracle and carried out Password Management steps. After installation, I then created a user “oracle” and assigned it to ora_dba User Group with the required Local Security Policies – “log on as a batch job” and “Act as part of operating system”
7) Logged into database and acknowledge the licensing window – Shutdown the machine
8) Restarted the machine and checked all relevant and newly installed Database and WebLogic services are running.
9) Started Installing EPM components by double clicking “InstallTool.cmd” and selected all relevant components at ONCE as per Installation Guide – Result: - All selected EPM components were successfully installed without errors or exceptions
10) At the end of installation window, I carried out the configuration in the following scearios:
Scenario 1: Configuration all at Default settings
Scenario 2: Configuration all, except “Application Server” I selected the WebLogic9.2
Scenario 3: Configuration all, except “Application Server” and “Workspace Web Server” were being Welogic9.2 and IIS HTTP
RESULT: After all numerous installations, all came down to ONE ERROR from “Diagnostic Report” stating the following:
Financial Management:
FAILED SVR: HFM Service Validation Check if HFM service in working state.
Error: Error message: <03/11/2010 05:32:26 PM> CreateApplicationCAS... Failed at line: 2
Recommended Action: Make sure HAT utility is working. 1 s
I then simply ignored this error and tried to deploy an Application, all worked fine until you get to the point at “Job Console” where you need to press “Refresh” button. Progress remained at 12% until it got timedout after 300 seconds and force attempt of refreshing resulting in “aborted” job with the following error:

This is, I believe preventing me from deploying Consolidation Apps, including Sample Application provided with EPM Downloads. I have tried installing and configuring by components. All failed with the same outcome.
I have been working on this effortlessly in different combinations to get at least one Financial Management Application get deployed so I could enhance my learning adventure. As it stands, I am not sure where to get help and completely lost in the World of Oracle. I am also come to wonder whether “Free Downloads of EPM” are indeed, is “complete and is in working-state” or do I need a licence to use for personal learning experience? Are there different downloads for different needs or/users For example, eDelivery downloads are different from OTN Agreement downloads?
I have downloaded the files from following URL:

Error while Confifuring Shared Sevices in 11.1.1.2.0

We have installed 11.1.1.1.0 in windows 2003(vmware) earlier and it was working fine. Now we are updating it with new maintenance release 11.1.1.2.0 as below
1>extracting all the 11.1.1.2.0 files into one new folder
2>runnning InstallTool.cmd and selected the installed(earlier) path C:\Hyperion
3>As 11.1.1.1.0 was already installed, i have selected Apply Maintenance and the process went successfully.
After this I am reconfiguring the Foundation Services (Shared services) we are able to do it for database, common settings. But deploy to application server is failed due to some errors. I have checked the log files for the same...it is as per below...

We are trying to install EPM 11.1.1.3 ( We are trying to install only Client Components ) in server machine( Processor AMD64, OS: Windows Server 2003 32Bit) we are installing the JAVA 1.6 Also.But we double Click the InstallerTool.cmd it will open the command prompt and throws an error below and disappearing.

If it is Java Compatibility, how can we resolve it.

2. Did you clear the cached files in your browser post patching
3. Generally the first time you access the system it takes time but the consquent attempts should not take much time.
4. Did you increase the Java heap

Error while installing HFM 11.1.2
I am trying to install HFM 11.1.2 on windows 2008 R2 64 bit
for that I have downloaded V25454-01 installer and HFM V25476-01.
then I have extracted all the files to a folder under c drive C:\HFMClient
when I run installtool.cmd I am getting an error message windows cannot find C:\HFMClient\\jre\winAMD64\1.6.0\bin\java', make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.
Please let me am I doing anything wrong.

This could be due to mismatch of the installers you are trying to install on 64 bit Environment.
While performing an install make sure that you download and install only the 64 bit, some components may be generic though.
And also have you downloaded the EPM architect and EPM installer, not sure if they are available in the version (11.1.2) that you had mentioned.
But if there is one try to extract and see if that helps.
And also I am not sure if R2 is supported for your version (11.1.2).

Check Support matrix first(As per Shiva said) then,
Check all assembles have you extracted correctly or not??
Remove Spaces in the installation path and also modify Hyperion 11.1.1.3 to Hyperion11113.
Then try again to lanuch installTool.cmd.

All EPM products to be installed are disabled in installtool.sh
Hi experts
I need reinstall the all EPM products, then I executed the unistall tool and removed all files under Middleware/*, so now when I execute the installTool.sh and pass the my Middleware home and selected a New Installation, on the next screen all products appears as disabled for select installation. When I click in a product appears this error message:

I did reboot server, and the install user have sufficient right. This environment already was installed without problems, so when I removed all products and try install again, this problem happens.
All pre-req appears without problems on welcome screen of installTool.sh.

Error installing Essbase 11.1.2 version
I am trying to install essbase version 11.1.2 as a new install on a linux box with RHEL5. I downloaded the below files and unzipped them
-Installer
-Foundation 1 thru 4
Server 1 and Server2
Additional Content Release 11.1.2.0.0
When i unzipped them and after the ususal process (copying over assemblies from all the unzipped folders ) to the assemblies folder in the Installer directory and ran the installTool.sh -console i see the below errror. Any ideas ?

I have unzipped the 4 foundation services binaries (V20815-01.zip, V20816-01.zip, V20817-01.zip, V20802-01.zip), the EPM installer (V20847-01.zip) along with EPM Additional content (V20843-01.zip) and the 2 Essbase zip files (V20783-01.zip and V20787-01.zip) and kept them /export/softstage.
I am trying to run .installTool.sh -record ess.rsp and I am getting the following error:

I re-downloaded all the zip files from edelivery and re-unzipped them. But still the same error.. Looks like I am missing some files or some kind of Java library..

EPMINS-01001:one or more preinstallation checks failed.correct the errors before continouning.
i am installing this on windows server 2007.

Click control panel -> administration tools -> system configuration
Click on the Tools tab, Select "Change UAC settings"
Click launch
Slide the bar down to "Never notify"
click ok
Reboot.

Error installing Essbase in Linux machine

I am getting the following error while installing Essbase in Linux server.
WARNING: error intantiating 'oracle.core.ojdl.logging.LoggingConfiguration' referenced by java.util.logging.config.class, class not found
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.core.ojdl.Logging.LoggingConfiguration not found
The steps followed for the installation are as follows:
1. Copied all the required softwares in Linux server in the "EPM_Linux" directory.
2. I typed the following command in Linux Window
[home/epm_linux]>./installTool.sh
After typing the above command, I got the above error message.
Java version in Linux server is : 1.4.2
Linux version is : Red Hat 4.1.2-48

EPM Installation error 11.1.1.3
Hi,
Iam installing hyperion 11.1.1.3 on windows 2003 server.after running the installTool.cmd, Hyperion configurator utility showing the error as
Host name resolved to an ipaddress(in red mark). (where weblogic server was installed)
Weblogic server is running properly.
how to resolve the issue?This may help :- Pre-requisite 11.1.2 installation
If it causes an issue sometimes you may have to install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter

Install error script is not found

I uninstall Sys9 and install EPM 11.1.2.3 .
I use installTool.cmd for installing EPM11.
When installation gose to 97% , error message 'スクリプトファイル "C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\config\11.1.2.0\resource\instance\shortcut.vbs'" がみつかりません。 '.
I select install lang English but error message is Japanese.
Certainly OS langage is Japanese.
「スクリプトファイル」 means 'script file ’.
「がみつかりません」 meane 'is not found'
'c\Oracle\Middleware' is my Middleware Home.
The script is not exist.
What is happen?

Can you elaborate on Config issue ? I think install would be completed fine.
You can launch EPM Configurator from Start -> Oracle EPM System -> Foundation Services -> EPM System Configurator. Try it.

HFM Client (11.1.2.0.0) Installation Error Windows 7
Recieved error after running the installTool.cmd in the Foundation11121 folder. It said that it could not find Z:\Foundation11121\\jre\winAMD64\1.6.0\bin\java
The "\\" after Foundation11121 is what the error says, not a typo.
Client install works on Windows XP, but not on Windows 7.Idr,
