EPrint Enterprise Attachment issues

Hello,
We have ePrint Enterprise installed, essentialy for email printing. We have it setup so if you send an email to (printername)@company.com it will print the email and it's attachments. We are having an issue though were if you send an attachment from a PDA/Iphone it will not print the attachment. Has anyone seen this and am I missing something here. Thank you.

Mindful, what are the format of the attachments being sent (PDF, JPF, TIFF, ect)? And are these files attached or embedded in the email?
Let me know!

  • EPrint Enterprise: cannot print Office attachments

Hello, We are currently testing the ePrint Enterprise 4.1 solution, with the goal of using the print-to-mail feature. The server and all necessary config has been done, and it mostly works fine: I can send an email to the configured email address, it will print the email body and .PDF or .JPG attachment just fine. Now to my problem: I am unable to print any Office attachment. I have followed the install guide rigorously, as well as the troubleshooting guide, I took all steps but I am still unable to print Office files, even from the "Submission Test" menu on the Server and selecting one of the Office attachments. Server is a Windows 2012 R2 64bits with Office 2013 64bits installed before ePrint Enterprise. OS and Office is properly activated. All DCOM components are properly installed. The Compatibility Checker when starting ePrint Enterprise installer gives a green mark for "Office".  Here's the error I get everytime an Office attachment is submitted for printing:  When trying to call support hotline, I always end up on technicians that have never heard of ePrint Enterprise...hopefully some knowledgeable people are active on this forum! Thank you very much in advance for your help. Best regards

We can try to enable the built-in administrator account to have a check .If there is a antivirus software installed ,please turn them off temporarily to have a check .Please also check the status of "Printer Spooler" serivce and ensure it is running.
To enable the built-in administrator account (This is used to troubleshoot ,it is recommended to keep it disabled):
    net user administrator /active:yes

    Hi tanuprvn,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I see that you would like to learn how to setup the ePrint feature of your printer.
To better assist you, would you please provide some further information:
What make/model/product number of HP printer do you have? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)?
What operating system are you using on your computer? whatsmyos.com
What prompted you to choose ePrint Enterprise instead of the HP ePrint mobile app?  The HP ePrint Enterprise app is part of the HP ePrint Enterprise solution for secure corporate mobile printing and is supported on the Commercial Forums which can be found here.
    Thank you.

  • ICloud lack of preferences and attachment issues

I've been using iCloud mail for a few weeks after leaving Outlook/Hotmail due to problems. It seems like I've traded off one set is issues for another set with iCloud mail.
There appears to be no preferences available at all to set up preferred body typefaces and styles, email signature (ie. setting sections in bold or italics), colours or anything like what I could do through Outlook. Even this forum box has more type settings, smileys and indent settings than iCloud
More annoyingly, any pdfs I attach and send through iCloud mail more often get a renamed to something along the lines of 'ATT000046.pdf'. This creates real issues for me as a freelance designer reliant on jobs being sent to my clients which are precisely named. I cannot work out why some clients receive the correctly named file, and others receive an 'ATT........' one.
Some files also change to .dat files (a Windows file!?) – this often happens when I zip several pdfs together.
It's getting really frustrating having no great functionality and the attachment issues too, I'd say iCloud mail is worse than Outlook.
    Can anyone help?

This has happened to me as well and it's making me seriously consider going back to gmail.  My pdf attachments are being received as .dat files.  Plus, just this morning a pdf that I received came over as a .dat file into my iCloud mailbox.  I forwarded the message to my gmail account and it was a perfect pdf that I opened.
I got my Mac about a year ago (which I LOVE) and I decided to go all Apple all the time.  But
-The iCloud email thing has so many quirks, like thei .dat file thing.
-The Apple maps aren't as good as the Google Maps app.  I was in NYC this weekend with the family and I tried to use both- Google just worked better (it hurts me to say that).
-I know that iCloud for documents is the wave of the future (or so they say), but Dropbox just works so effortlessly for my document storage.
-I know that iWoks is the future, but I can't collaborate with Pages-- my clients all need .doc files and I can't always export to a .doc file.  Sometimes Pages won't let me export, other times things like indentations are off. I got picked for the beta test of iWorks in the cloud and it's nice, but limited in functionality
I'm wondering if I should be all Apple devices and go back to gmail/google maps/office.  I don't want to do that- I want to be all Apple...not sure what to do because this is driving me crazy. I'm thinking of waiting for iOS7 to come out and see how it works. I know that Apple Maps is being updated too.  Not sure.
    Sorry for the rant.

  • Attachment issue

I'm having this attachment issue since last 6 months or so, before I was sending around upto 10 jpg attachments through my curve, what happens now that even a small jpg image takes ages to remain in process of sending and than after some time I get error msg that msg could not be send "unknown error" My intelegent service provider Mobilink puts all blame to blackberry main server.

Your carrier should not say this to you. Blaming RIM will not take away the responsibilty of your carrier!! If RIM is to be blamed then carrier should escalate the issue to RIM. They can't take such a long time to resolve!!!
I'm considering that you're on BIS service. All the BES users should consult with their respective BES admins.

  • Office 2010 standard attachment issue

    Hi All,
We have encounter an attachment issue when we upgraded the MS office from Office XP to Office 2010. When we attach 2 or more attachments (I tried .PDF or .JPG). Office application will not response and the outlook trace icon will appear "Outlook is
retrieve data from exchange server". The attachment will appear at the message after 5-10 mins (The longest time was ~45mins to attach a 1MB .pdf).
I also tried to disable the outlook add-ins and run as safe mode (run outlook /safe). But the problem still exist.
Our exchange server is running at version 6.5.7638.1
    Best Regards,
    Samuel Chu

    Hi,
The "retrieve data" popups are usually an indication that the client is taking unusually long time to receive information back from the server, or contact the server. The causes for the popups are:
       - Exchange server performance problems
       - client (or add-in) problems
       - network related issues
       - large number of items in mailboxes
       - Active Directory related issues (performance issues etc)
Does this issue happen to all your clients or just a few users? If it happens to just a few users, please first make sure the mailbox size is not too large. Make sure these users don't have a large number of items in a folder. See:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905803
If all or major of your clients are experiencing this issue, then the problem is most likely server related (or network on the server side related), I'd recommend you post a question in the Exchange forum to get further assistance:

For more information, you can refer to this blog article:

  • Hp eprint enterprise server

Where can I find the hostname for my hp eprint enterprise server? i'm trying to do wireless printing from my iphone

    jmoi,
I have a feeling that you are using the wrong app. It sounds like you are using the HP ePrint Service app. That app is designed to printer to certain businesses such as UPS or FedEx.
The app that you want to use for home use is either the HP ePrint app or the HP Printer Control app.

  • Adobe Flash Player Enterprise Install Issue

Couple months ago we deployed Adobe Flash Player 10.0.45.2 (ActiveX) to our enterprise.  Recently, our users have been calling the help desk stating that when they visit sites that have flash content, it asks them to install flash (however flash player is already installed on their computers).  I'm in charge of packaging and deploying at our company and this is the first time I've seen these after heading up multiple flash updates.  I've recently upgraded a few of our training rooms to Adobe Flash Player 10.1.82.76 and so far have not been able to replicate this issue with the new version. My concern is that after we deploy this new version to our whole enterprise, the issue will appear again.  So my question is, has anyone else seen this issue and/or know why it's occuring?
    Windows XP SP3 (32-bit)
    Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13 (32-bit)

I think we're getting closer to a root cause!  I'm comparing two computers (we'll call them Computer A and Computer B).  They are identical in every way expect Computer A has a working version of Adobe Flash Player 10.0.45.2 and Computer B does not.

  • Weird Enterprise T5220 issue

I'm getting strange results when using the last Gigabit ethernet port (port #3) on my brand new Enterprise 5220. Here is the output from ifconfig -a:
    lo0: flags=2001000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,VIRTUAL> mtu 8232 index 1
    inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
    e1000g0: flags=1000802<BROADCAST,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 9
    inet 0.0.0.0 netmask 0
    ether 0:14:4f:ec:bc:1c
    e1000g1: flags=1000843<BROADCAST,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 8
    inet 0.0.0.0 netmask 0

    e1000g3: flags=1000802<BROADCAST,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 11
    inet 0.0.0.0 netmask 0
    ether 0:0:6:0:5a:a5
I find it very odd that the MAC address is 0:0:6:0:5a:a5 and not 0:14:4f:ec:bc:1f. I seem to recall earlier that it was reporting a MAC of 0:0:0:0:0:0. Running speed tests through it also gives lower than expected results. The switch and system both show that it's connected 1000 Mbps/full duplex but I only get around 400 Mbps, while I get 600-700 Mbps through the other Ethernet ports.
Wondering if I have a faulty ethernet port.. Has anybody else seen similar behavior?
    Thanks!
    Jim

I may have to test this on my machine but it may be that the filename that got pass the filter was in uppercase maybe and that's how it sneaked through. Your filter looks for only lowercase filenames that end with ".wmv".
The only thing that is case-insensitive by default is the "mail-from" and "rcpt-to". Almost everything else (subject, message-body, other-headers, filenames) are case sensitive. To make these things case insensitive, you'll want to prepend your filter with this:
    Attachment-filename == "(?i)\\.wmv"
    or
    Attachment-filename == "(?i)\\.(exe|bat|com|sh)"
(?i) --> means ignore the case on whatever follows this regex. You pretty much want to use this in most cases to be safe since match whether it's upper or lowercase. Performance-wise, it should be okay.
By the way, Ironport filters use Python regex.
Again, I'll have to test this on my side.
I have had a weird issue come up with our content filtering today, and am wondering if anyone else has come accross it.
We have a number of Content Filters setup. One of these it looking for various media files including .wmv files (We have used a "Attachment-filename == "\\.wmv"" to look for them).
This works as required. However this morning out outbound Media File content filter trapped a message containing a wmv file going out that had been received by the user the night before.
this message last night was processed by the IronPort, the wmv was not hidden or re-named in any way. It was just not stopped by the content filter.
I have checked everything I can think of and I can see no reason why the message wasn't stopped. WMV's are being stopped OK as I type this.
Has anyone else come accross or noticed this.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise Deployment Issues using SCCM 2012 R2

    Hi,
I have been trying to deploy Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise to Windows 8.1 machines that are identical, using SCCM 2012 R2.
The Adobe package seems fine, because it seems to deploy successfully to some machines. And SCCM 2012 R2 has been configured correctly, as I can deploy other software using it, and again, it deploys Adobe CC successfully to some of the machines.
I have tried comparing the package that is downloaded on the test machine/client machine, with the original package on the distribution point, using Beyond Compare, and there are no differences.
I have contacted Adobe Enterprise Support, and they asked me to send to them log files from Event Viewer, the msi installer, and other Adobe logs, from the machine that failed the deployment. However, after Adobe studying them, they told me that they could not identify any problems... Strange, because I could have sworn that I saw error 1603 pop up over 20 times on different machines indicating that the 'Set-up.dat' file had a problem with it.
After all the testing on over 20 identical machines (same hardware/same software), using different configurations on SCCM 2012 R2 and the client machines, I still can't seem to have a reliable solution to deploying Adobe CC.
The fact that it deploys successfully on one machine and fails on another, or sometimes deploy to two machines and fail on another (simultaneously), is something that I don't understand.
Another thing is that, if I retry the deployment 10-15 times after it failed the first time, it might go through...
Adobe Enterprise Support asked me if they could remote into a machine that failed the deployment to have a look at it and I agreed to that option, but it seems like my issue has been ignored because they never got back to me.
Has anyone had this kind of problem or anything similar before?
I need to be able to deploy this remotely to 100+ machines. So installing manually is not an option.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Robert,
We seem to be having a very similar issue.  Our installs would randomly fail with error code 1603 and an error message about a fault in Set-up.dat.  Failure rate was near 95% on our 900 machines.  Adobe Support and Karl having been looking into our issues but so far no solution has been found.
Having done a lot of investigating we've managed to deploy our package using a schedule task running as a domain admin.  This is a nasty solution and we don't intend on using this permanently, but we needed to get the package out.
Are you seeing any of the following:

  • Crystal Reports 10 Enterprise Server Issue - Exporting Large Reports to PDF

Weu2019re implementing a Crystal Reports 10 Server for a customer but weu2019re having an issue with exporting large reports to PDF.  The report size that starts to show this issue is roughly 300 pages with 20 records per page.  We use the default Crystal ActiveX viewer.
Basically what happens is that the user will launch the report in the ActiveX viewer and the large report will take a while to load, as much as 3 to 4 minutes.  The user may then wish to export to PDF.  Once they attempt it with these large reports the viewer will basically hang and possibly be processing but will then time-out after roughly 5 minutes with this error:
    u201CProxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request POST /thinqreports/THINQCrystalInterface.asp.
Reason: Error reading from remote server
    IBM_HTTP_Server/6.1.0.9 Apache/2.0.47 (Unix) Server at lmsproxy.aurora.org Port 443u201D
We believe this error is coming from a server on our network.  We have a proxy server between users and the Crystal Server that has a 5 minute time-out for connections.  What we want to know is:
    - Is there a way to speed up this export to PDF process?
    - Should the Crystal Viewer be keeping an http connection alive to the Crystal Report Server while its doing this export process?
    - If not, what port does Crystal Viewer use to communicate with the Crystal Report Server?
    - Is there something we can set in Crystal to keep an http connection open?
    - What is actually occurring during this export process?
Occasionally, we may get the above error when simply launching a report, not just attempting to export to PDF.  We presume that is because loading the report into the Crystal Viewer from the Crystal Report Server is taking longer than 5 min.
    Anyone have any thoughts?  Thanks.
    Scott

    Scott,
As this is happening within Enteprise (and I am assuming the report does not time out in the Crystal Reports Designer) I would suggest posting this to the BusinessObjects Enterprise Administration
    forum.
My limited Enterprise knowledge would be to suggest scheduling the report as PDF but I don't know if that is a viable option for you.

  • Mail attachment issues in full screen apps

This is an interesting issue.  So far it only occurs with MS Excel.  When Mail is open as a full screen app and I open an xlsx file attached to a mail message the screen shifts back over to the desktop screen as it should, but the Excel window remians locked with the Mail full screen app.  At this time, I cannot swipe back over to Mail, it just shifts back over to the desktop screen every time I try.  The only resolution that I have found so far is to quite Mail from my dock icon and relaunch.  This then moves the Excel window to my desktop screen.
I wonder if this is only an issue with programs that do not suppport full screen apps.
    Thoughts?

Have you tried toggling - Command, Control, F
If you do a 5 finger swipe up do you see Apple Mail as it's own desktop?  If so when you expand Apple Mail use the green traffic dot in the upper left side instead of the full screen double arrow on the upper right side.

  • SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 Text attachment issue after upgrade 4.7 to ECC6

    Hi,
We are using function module so_new_document_att_send_api1 for sending mail with text document. It was working fine 4.7 system but in ECC system it is sending blank attachement with mail. Program remain same and no changes in that. I have attached code. please advise how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks

    Hello Venu,
Move attachment to packinglist internal table and clear lt_packing_list-transf_bin as below.
I copied your code and did some correction.
    *  lt_packing_list-transf_bin  = 'X'.
       lt_packing_list-head_start  = 2.
       lt_packing_list-head_num    = 1.
       lt_packing_list-body_start  = LINES( lt_mailtxt ) + 1.
APPEND LINES OF lt_attachment TO lt_mailtxt.
       lt_packing_list-body_num    = LINES( lt_attachment ).
lt_packing_list-doc_type    = 'RAW'. " You can give RAW incase if you want just a txt file.
       lt_packing_list-obj_name    = 'data.txt'.
       lt_packing_list-obj_descr   = 'data.txt'.
       lt_packing_list-doc_size    = lt_packing_list-body_num * 255.
       APPEND lt_packing_list. CLEAR lt_packing_list.
In FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_ATI1, no need to pass the ITAB attachment i fyou can merge everything to ITAB packing list.

  • EPrint / cloud print issue.

    Hi,
I have 3 HP Officejet Pro 8600 + printers running on different network setups at 3 different locations.
When I try to print from remote locations using Google Cloud Print, it doesn't work.
When I login to HP eprint manager (https://www.hpconnected.com/us/en/#devices/) the printers are each listed as "Online - Problem with Printer". When I select "Problem with Printer" I receive the following error.
An unspecified problem was reported. Please check your printer. See printer front panel for information on resolving this condition
This is really beginning to frustrate me.
So that you are also aware, the problem occurs on devices including:
my Macbook Pro (OS X v10.9.3 - latest at this time) using Chrome (v35.0.1916.153 - latest at this time).
my iPad (iOS 7.1.1 - latest at this time) using Chrome (v35.0.1916.38 - latest at this time).
my Fiancee's iPad (iOS 7.1.1 - latest at this time) using Chrome (v35.0.1916.38 - latest at this time).
The devices are connected to the following modem/routers at the 3 different locations:
    Netgear DGND3700v2 (with latest software)
Netgear DGN2200v3 (with latest software); and
D-Link DSL-2890AL (with the latest software)
And just so we are absolutely aware, my Xerox at the office works perfectly using cloud print!
    Thanks.

    Hi masinij,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.
HP Connected sometimes gives a false report that there is an unspecified problem with the printer. HP has been able to reproduce the error.  If there was a true error, then the message would point to the problem (low on ink, out of paper, etc). The unspecified error message will not stop you from using ePrint and Google Cloud Print.
Are you able to send an email to each of the printers ePrint email address and have it print?  If it doesn’t print, what does your HP connected account say about the failed print job?  I’ve included the Learn About Print History in HP Connected for reference.
If the email prints successfully, that would indicate that ePrint is working.  I have included Google’s Cloud Print Help section.  It has a section titled “Troubleshooting Google Cloud Print”.
