Equipment BOM & Function Location BOM
Dear All,
We are created functional location BOM and we are created Functional location order.In that order i found the Equipment BOM which are linked with functional location.I assigned functional location BOM as well as Equipment BOM items for that order.It will take the items.In Functional location order Equipment BOM items should not take.
Pls.Help me.

Your query is not clear.
Normally when your creating the maintenance order for Functional location. if this FL is having the BOM you will get the this BOM during the material planning in that order.
if your creating the maintenance order for Equipment. if this Equipment is having the BOM you will get the this BOM during the material planning in that order.
If there is no BOM you can plan the Material from the list also.

Connection between Equipment and Functional Location 2

I would suggest you to go through the function module /ISDFPS/ME_PM_FLOC_GETDETAIL in debug mode to understand the various aspects of a Functional Location.
It lists the various child locations and the equipment assigned to it, and also, may be put a Break point on SELECT statement and check the various tables involved.
The only complication is determining the Superior functional location and the equipment assigned to it.
The following tables will help you.

You can use transaction /N/ISDFPS/IL21 , it will give you detailed history of equipments and functional locations with usage change. It''s a DFPS transaction, hope its available in your system, or else you can goto Usage List in extras menu and customize the layout by adding the colums required to get the information you want in case of equipments or goto Usage Period in case of functional location in structure menu.

Replication of functional location and equipment from ECC to CRM.

I have activated the required BADI's and adapter objects for func loc and equipment. but i am not able to replicate the funcloc and equipment from ecc to crm.As of SAP CRM 7.0 you can replicate functional locations from SAP ERP to SAP CRM. This function is supported as of SAP enhancement package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0.
In SAP CRM, functional locations are represented as object components of an installed base. The structure of functional locations is also replicated, and reflected in the installed base structure. If you replicate functional locations and pieces of equipment, the assignment of equipment to functional locations is also reflected in the installed base structure. The following replication processes are available:
- Initial download of functional locations from SAP ERP to SAP CRM in R3AS tcode.

Hi All
Can any one help me out.
Fields Equipment and Function Location are not refelecting in operation tab of general task list..in my Dev system
but when i test the same in IDES its refelcting there
I try to sort out this issue via Task List Field Selection.. but still helpless.. couldn't find these fields here also to make it unhide..

As I know there is no field for Equipment or FLock, as this is the general Task List and can be used in any Equipment.
If you are using IA05, there wont be any Equipment or FLock field in the same.
In IA01 you can Definitely find the same as this is the Equipment Specific Task List.
and IN IA11 you can find the field for the Functional Location.
Please check again.

The field equipment or f.loc can be made mandatory using transaction variants -- but it would be applicable for all order types .....
1.use tcode SHD0 , give IW31 in Transaction code and ZIW31 in transaction variants and press create ..
2.this would take you to IW31 initial screen and enter planning plant and order types and press enter this would give the dialog box of screen variant .Here press continue and this would take you to inside screen .
3.Here you again press enter and by entering some required data you can finally reach to screen variant of reference object
and can mark the equipment or f.loc field mandatory as required .
4.Once this is finished you can you can select local object and save ... and come back and test the same ... now this trans varint ZIW31 can be assigned to user group ...

Error in showing the breakdown time functional location wise
hey gurus,
In mci7 i m trying to look at the breakdown of equipments functional location wise by entering t he floc field. on executing it i m getting no data availabe whereas when i was doing it for individual equipments the results were comin fine. How can i see the floc wise breakdown of equipments?

With MCI7 or MCJB(PMIS)Equipment)/MCJC(PMIS:FLoc) u can analyse those breakdowns which are specifically made either for equipment or functional location.
Do one thing. First in customization in set field selection for notifications, make the equipment field "input" from "required". This will allow you to make a notification on a FLoc w/o entering an equipment. Make 2 notifications on this FLoc and complete them. Pls. dont forget to check the "Breakdown" indicator in notification. Then run ur analysis reports MCI7 or MCJC. u'll get the MTTR/MTBF.

Functional Location field is Grayed out in change mode
Dear Experts ,
I have created an equipment automatically through serial number managed material .
But the equipment created has no functional location assigned to it .
Also when in change mode of the equipment the functional location field is grayed out & there is no provision to dismantle & reassign the same .
Pls tell me how can i assign a functional loaction to this automatically created equipment ??

I have put a tick for the checkbox " Inst . at Func. Loc" against the said equipment category
Is ther anywhere else in IMG that i need 2 assign/check .
while trying 2 assign a functional location for this equipment the system give the error :
No InstallLocation entered: Data transfer not possible

When we maintain the Equipment Masters from IE01.
We Define the Work center, Plant, Location.
Now in the Functional Masters in the Structure:
the equipment will be automatically populated.
Please suggest that whether we have to manually assign the Equipment to the functional Location

You have to install the equipment into Functional Location manually
Like
After creating a equipment - go to structure tab. Where you wil find install struture - Install the Functional Location there.
In the equipment create / Change Window
Go to Structure in the tool bar - Select Change or install Funcational Location

Can anybody tell me if I install the PRTu2019s equipment on functional location what will be the impact on business.
Because my client want to install all his PRTu2019s on functional location so that he can do the analysis in the different software which is connected with SAP.
Because that software only can track those equipment which is installed.Please provide me your valuable input.

I dont think there is any impact for installing the PRT towards the funtional location .normally PRT's installation will have little scope .if the client wants the same you can go ahead

I'm trying to create 1 single order for many equipments in different functional locations but it seems like the fields for "equipment" and "functional location" in Operation tab are not allowed to enter.
What is the Tcode to open up those fields?
Or is there any other ways of doing?

IMG => PM & CS => Maintenance & Service Processing => Maintenance & Service Orders => Functions & Settings => Define notification & Order Integration
Select Assignment of operations to Object List entries active in Enh. Object list column for your order type.
2. Then create the order in IW31. Assign all the equipments in object list tab. Define the operations in operation tab. Go to object list & select equipment one by one & click Assignments button in the bottom. In pop-up window, select the operations for that particular equipment. One operation can be assigned to only one operation. If same operation requires for more than one equipment, then different operation rows should be defined.
3. Click Settlement rule button in the top (If you want to create settlement rule manually). Based on your equipment entry in object list, enter the cost center & % of cost to be settled.
4. If you want to automate settlement rule creation, as mentioned in previous posts, use the user exits. Transaction code for user exit is SMOD. ABAP people will write the code based on your input for settlement rule creation.
