EREC - Taleo to HCM integration
Hi guy,
What are the avalible integration tools form TALEO to SAP. Anyone who has worked on and has expereince, can you share the tools and technologies that you used and if you can point me to any documention that will help understand the technology and skills required for this integration would be great.

ERec - Data Transfer from eRec system to HCM System
Hello All,
Currently am able to do the data transfer from eRec system to HCM system but am finding some inconsistencies here.
In our scenario we are on ehp4 and no XI in place, We are doing via RFC only. Stanalone eRec system
So here are few queries and if someone can address these would be really great and appreciate the help
1) While i do the data transfer activity, when i select activity and don not give the Hiring Date in the Org Assignment Column it throws an error "When transferring data using XI, the hiring date must be specified". But am not using XI, then why should it give this error?
Also is it not possible that i do the data transfer without any hiring date?
Also there are two options Planned and Completed. When i do the data transfer i keep it in planned status and do it it automatically saying that Complete
Is this correct
2)Now when i do the data transfer it is getting appeared in HR system when i execute the PA48 tcode.
Here my queries are
a) Suppose i do a data transfer for a candidate Abc on 10.10.2010 and run the PA48 tcode it appears in the list as hire date 10.10.2010
Now as a recruiter am again doing the data transfer for the same candidate Abc for 11.10.2010 and againg when i see PA48 there is again another entry for the Abc candidate for hiring
Is this correct process. How should these duplicate entries to be avoided. Pls help me
3) Also i case if I want additions infotypes to be transferred in PA48 how should we go for this development

EREC: Disable controlling area integration
Is there a way to disable controlling area - company code integration in erec system? when we try to hire an employee in HCM system we are getting errors that controlling area doesnt exist for a company code. We didn't have this issue until we started HCM and EREC integration.

Here is my simple answer.
At the time of creating COA, you have specified that Manual creation of cost elemants right?
if you select this, then the system will not create a cost elemant at the time of GL creation.
So whenever you want to create cost elemants for each GL, you will have to create it manually by going into each GL and clicking on Edit cost elemant and need to enter the cost elemant cateogry for that and save them.
To avoid this manual creation, SAP provides a batch input processing method for this.
In Tcode OKB2 you have to give GL range along with cost elemant category, Again in Tcode OKB3 you have to execute the program, it will create a batch input session with all the cost elemants those to be created. And then execute the batch input session with Tcode SM35. It does not mean that you are creating the cost elemants automatically by creating GL accounts.
This is a standard way for doing manual creation of cost elemants with a batch input processing.
And if you select option Automatic creation of cost elemants at COA config, no need to create a range in OKB2, and generate session in OKB3 and execute session with SM35.

ERP systems were built because you could use various products like Fin, HCM, CRM, Project accounting etc seamlessly as all are built by the same provider and you will have less interface headache.
So, based on what your company's requirements, you can choose to implement one or more of the products. -

In the past we have often thought about such integration and also discussed it with customers and the ESC (Enterprise Services Community). One result is the ES bundle [Resource Planning and Scheduling|http://esworkplace.sap.com/socoview(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/render.asp?packageid=DEE98D07DF9FA9F1B3C7001A64D3F462;id=B670349DBAC84C939FB0865CAE23BB6E] which aims at supporting planning processes of employees. One crucial point I remember from the discussion is the question whether information on employee availability (e.g. absence, illness etc.) was available (i.e. entered into HCM) in time to be used in planning.

Query on eRec integration with ECC (HCM)
Hello All,
We are using standalone eRec server on ehp4. Now my scenario is
1) While raising the requisition request i need the Org unit to be pulled from the HR system. Currently i maintained the following switched with RFC's
in HCM system i mainateined a witch
1)RECFA DTCBA ED1_200 (RFC Connection in E-Recruiting System) - RFC is created in the HR System
(RFC type 3)
Switches mainteined in Erec system
2)RECFA HRRFC CSD_130 Logical System of Connected HR System - Here i maintained RFC which is created in erec system
Now when i create a requition in erec when i choose the Org Unit drop down I am unable to see the org units which are mainained in the HR system
AM i missing any config or any functionality or any troubleshooting required.
Pls guide me with you inputs
2) Also i would like to know the data transfer of the applicant data from erec system to hr system while i do the data transfer.
What all i need to configure for this and any prerequsitive is needed from my end.

Dear Experts ,
Iam given a scenario where in the client wants the Erecruitment software Taleo to be integrated with SAP HCM.The HR recruiters/Managers are currently hiring them into the taleo software and from there the data need to be pushed to the SAP employees's infotypes.
In Addition to this the benefits infotype need to be maintained automatically in the system.Is there any way to automatically default the benefit infotype also

GopaYou will need interface(s) between Taleo and SAP....If Taleo is your recruiting system...then they may want...
Outbound from SAP: Interface that sends them vacant position data from SAP (you need this so that when Taleo sends you finally an employee data after hiring they can send you the position data with it).
Outbound from SAP: You may also need to send them terminations from SAP (optional - may be needed depending on your company process for handling rehires)
Inbound to SAP: This is the main file from Taleo after offer is accepted and employee is hired in Taleo. At this time Taleo will send you a file for which you can write an interface to hire these employees into SAP. You can do a BDC session with PA40 - you may have to determine if its a hire or rehire here. If you are processing payroll then its important to make sure you have all the payroll related info types (if they are not coming from Taleo then you should at least have them defaulted to what your client agrees).
The second part to your question
Creating benefits depends on how you are getting or determining benefits data.
1. Benefits configuration has something called automatic/default plans...
>>> "Automatic" plans are something employee is enrolled into and has no option to change them.
>>> "Default" plans are something employee is enrolled into on new hire and typically has 30 days to make changes...this is standard configuration for each plan and should be completed.
If it is controlled via benefits config then you just need to go through hire action...and typically as part of that hire action - IT0378/IT0171 will prompt you to go to benefits enrollment screen and enroll employee...into these automatic/default plans...plans will be pre-selected based on configuration. So all you do here is hit save and continue with rest of hire action. All this is recordable via BDC session.
2. If it is NOT controlled via configuration...and you are getting benefit plan details in the file then you just create them in the corresponding info types...IT0167/0168 etc. For processing sanity I would separate hire and benefits creation as two step process if all the data is coming via files...

EREC: Trex Errors in first run
Hello,
We have EREC and HCM in two separate systems, i followed SAP note suggestions and created ALE connection to import the data. After i imported the data i ran HRLAXSYNC report in EREC system, which created NA objects.
Great, i was happy so far. Now i ran the TREX for the first time in production and see atleast few hundred if not more of similar errors as below, what did i do wrong? how can i fix this?

Error while passing HCM-Staging Data to Identity Center

We are implementing IDM 7.1 SP2 and using HCM-Integrations Scenario.
The extracting scenario over vds into the HR-Staging are is working fine.
We do have troubles while running the task 270/Write HCM Employee To SAP Master .
There we get always the error "sap_getSysUname Par: [20090210-99991231]<PERNR>!![20090210-
99991231] Invalid SyUname: [20090210-99991231] does not exist or is
not valid todayPass stopped by script.
We have checked the OSS Note 1308250 - it doesn't helped - it justed hide the error message.
We have checked with debbuging the hr - data . The field syuname is filled and delivered.
a.) does anybody knows about this problem or can give some tipps to fix this error?
b.) we have a lot of jobs with errors know in the job qeue - we can stop them, but not delete or cancel?
anybody knows how to kill the jobs in IDM 7.1 ?

I was not able to use the new VDS Template 'HCM LDAPEXTRACT to IDM' because it was causing a problem while integrating with HCM and IDM. Hence I have used the old template 'HR Export to IDM Identity Center' which seems to be working fine.
But since the reprot RPLDAP_EXTRACT_IDM pushes the records with the time part prefixed, and that I'm not able to use the new VDS Template which has a job HR_Staging_Area which performs the job of pushing the HCM data from Staging to Productive Identity Store. Since I see that you have implemented it, it will be of great help if you can share the steps and details of how to use the new VDs template and the jobs related to it. -
HCM / VDS / IDM Attribute Mapping
Hi folks!
So we have a bunch of attributes in SAP that start with SYHR, and we have a couple of questions about them.
1. How are these fields mapped to IDM? We've found some information in Identity Management for SAP System Landscapes: Configuration Guide, but we are looking for something more. It seems attributes mapped in the PNP database (or tables?) is not shown that clearly. Our Business Analysts want more information.
2. It seems most of these fields are calculated somehow. As a bonus, we'd like to know how these fields are calculated in the first place.

MattI am not sure how well the document reflects the attribute mapping in the transfer event task in the Staging Id Store. I guess that you need to both look at the document and the event task in Staging Id Store that moves the data to Productive Id Store to see all the attribute mappings.
The real question is how would you need to map them between HCM and IdM. It's pretty normal requirement analysis work to figure out what to export. You should only export relevant attributes.
I am not sure about "calculated attributes" and I am not an ABAP'per, but if you have HCM-consultants on site have them analyze the query definition shipped with HCM. Any transformation that takes place should be in the query and it's data mappings.

We have the HR integratin running but always get the e-mail address in the BP under the section Communication and PPM always wants to use address-independent communication. I assume this is configuration but cannot figure out where.

Automatic creation of Service Arrangements in SAP CRM 2007
Dear all
we're using SAP CRM Resource Planning with HCM integration, so get the Employee Master and requried Availability Info Types replicated from HCM via ALE.
Unfortunately, between the creation of an Employee and the Time Distribution, a Service Arrangement must be created manually. As both the HCM-side steps are executed automatically as background job, we are trying to find a way to also create Service Arrangements automatically. We do not need to maintain any data other than ID and Name for the Service Arrangement in the first place.
Can you point me to a way to do this - eventually a function module that would be available for this purpose?

CRM_SRV_SDL_RFC TCP/IP connection to the SAP Business Connector when using the external Scheduling Engine of a third party vendor.
In our development scenario, we have used the BadI's CRM_SRV_SDL to achieve the functionality.

E-Recruiting 6.04. Issue with internal candidates e-mail.

We are on E-Rec 604 with seperated standlone e-rec system.
We did the initial transfer of employees with ALE and we though that all were ok, but now we realized that there are some internal candidates that no have e-mail adress in e-recruiting.
We have been investigating and those employees have filled the infotype 105 subtype 0010 in Hr system. In E-Recruting system the user created by ALE has the e-mail too, but in transaction BP only a few of them have filled the field e-mail in the block of adress independent comunication. So only this few internal candidates have e-mail in the portal of E-Recruiting.
We are looking for any differences of those employees in HR system but we can´t find anything.
Someone could help me with the reason of this problem, please?.
And someone know if there is any way for repared this in the e-recruiting system.

I just want point out the HCM ALE processes. Firstly independently of connected to eRecruiting or not.
The message type HRMD_B is containing the infotypes belonging to the software component SAP_BASIS.
The message type HRMD_ABA is containing the infotypes of the message type HRMD_B and the infotypes belonging to the software component SAP_ABA.
The message types HRMD_B and HRMD_ABA must be used to distribute HCM data into non-ERP based landscapes.
The message type HRMD_A is containing the infotypes of the message type HRMD_B and the infotypes belonging to the software component SAP_HR. It should then be used to distribute HCM data into an ERP based landscapes.
Esther is describing an eREcruiting standalone based on an ERP landscape. Therefore, the message type HRMD_A should be used.
Then, from the HCM integration in Business Partner point of view, the standard implementation of the BAdI HRALE00INBOUND_IDOC should be deactivated. This implementation is normally converting the object P into a CP, because the object P is known only in HR (and ERP based landscape). In an ERP based landscape, the P will exist with its CP. The integration to the BP will not work during the ALE-Inbound process, but during the Synchronization run (report HRALXSYNC). The implementation makes sense only in none-ERP based landscapes (where message type HRMD_ABA will be used).
Ester should then adapt her distribution model to be able to distribute the necessary infotypes for the consistency of a P (infotypes 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003) as well as the one which are used for the BP-integration (infotype 0006 subtype 1, infotype 0009, infotype 0105 subtypes 0001, 0005, 0010, 0020), as well as the HR-object CP and its relationship to the P (infotypes 1000 and infotype 1001 subtype B209).
With the hope it is clarifying the usage of the message types depending on the used scenario and on the used landscapes.

E-Rec Apply Directly link throwing an error from Int /Ext candidate st.page

Iam working on a EREC implementation in an integrated scenario. The TREX installation has not been completed yet but i still wanted to check on the other links which does not use the TREX search engine.
I created a requisition object and succesfully published the job. When trying to use the Apply Directly link in the Internal / External candidate page to apply against the Job posting, I get the below error.
Iam sure "apply directly" does not use TREX unlike Job search. Can someone help me with clues what the below error is all about.
The following error text was processed in the system EC6 : Syntax error in program CL_HRRCF_APPLY_QLIST_V========CP .
The error occurred on the application server ctsgvcsapbl05_EC6_00 and in the work process 0 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
The ABAP call stack was:
