EREC: work experience, make end date not mandatory, current employer flag?
Hi,
is there a way to make the end date of an external candidate's work experience NOT mandatory when the candidate is created by a recruiter?
Here's the code that triggers the error message when the recruiter doesn't enter an end date:

If there's no other way, I guess I will have to create an enhancement, but in the code I read about a "current employer flag", so it seems there might exist a better solution. Can a recruiter set the current employer flag somewhere to avoid entering an end date?

Hello Joel,
The 'current employer flag' is the checkbox you can flag in the work experience maintenance. This flag means that the entry you are now creating is the last current one (which means your current employment). If you activate that checkbox the system automatically creates that entry with the high date as end date. So you only have to fill the start date but in your case that would not be successful as you would have only valid work experience entries then which could lead eg. to wrong results in the search scenarios and rankings.

Does this trigger fire before the trigger that is making the field mandatory?

Start date End date of the current Calendar month
Hi All,
How can we get the Start date of the Current Calendar month and the End date of the current Calendar month , when we given certain date in the selection screen.
For Eg : In the Selection screen if I give date as Todays date 04042008, we should be getting the Start date of the month as 01042008 and End date of the month as 31042008.
Any pointers will be much appreciated.

QM Notification: task end dates not pulled through from response profile
Hello,
I am experiencing a problem with the end dates of the tasks in QM notifications not pulling through (from the response profile) when tasks are determined.
When I do the simulation of task determination, the gantt chart shows all the tasks together with the end dates. But when the actual determination is done these dates are not populated in the planned finish date fields.
I have double checked the configuration: priorities, response and service profiles are set up correctly. I have also searched SAP notes without success.

Theo.Yes, I know, but as far as I understand binding the values back from rule to the workflow is something that doesn't work. I have never tried it, but I have seen posts here about people complaining that this kind of binding does not work.
Have you tried to bind for example some hard coded value back to the workflow (something that should definately work)? Does it work? If not, I suggest you to ask this from SAP that is it supposed to work and if not, why do they have this option to for binding from rule to workflow. Or then just forget what you are trying, and use some of the suggested workarounds.

Required End date not allowed to change

I want to change Notification Required end date but when i am trting to change system give the warnning message "required End date cant be change ,old date will be reset.
This only happen with the Notfication in release Status..

You've used the word Warning. If it is so, why worry. You press Enter key and cross this. Your Date will be changed. If it is stopping you from Date change, then please specify at what instance it is stopping? Like when you are trying to Save? Clarify.

After updating new MIC in QP02 in Back date not showing current date ?

I have updated some new MIC and some Changes are made in existing MIC in QP02 on back date. It is showing on same back date with all correction and new MIC but on today's date i.e. current date it is not showing in the system.
any can help me how to get in current date ?
There are some dump error , for these correction i have updated SNOTE 1467234 and 1471534 in Quality server, but no more effect.

I have updated existing QP in back date i.e. same as when created original date ( expiration date is long i.e. 31.12.9999) , then same thing i wanted to see all updated MIC should be reflect in current date, but it is not coming, so i have updated SNOTE- 1467234 and 1471534 then tried it.It is working fine some how but not as i want.Hence i thing it is solved my problem.

Start & End date not working?
So I was wget-ing a bunch of logs at once, a single day at a time, and found that despite requesting different days, I received all the same results.
For the URL below I received logs dated 3-01:

"Normally" that should cause an error ("date is in the future")…but I wonder if it'd produce the 4/1 logs. Then you'd know there was an "off-by-one" error somewhere. Maybe also request logs on the days surrounding 4/1 (3/31, 4/2)…just for kicks, just to see what results you get.

How to make Parameter field not mandatory while running CFL through SAP B1
Hi Experts.......
I have a small doubt if anybody can help me.......
I have created a simple report for testing purpose by taking table OITM and it is diplayng CFL symbol in B1 scressn when I import. Upto this it is working fine and showing correct input.
Now I made some changes according to my logic is that When I select any value in condition parameter say any Item Group it shows me output for that particular ItemGroup. And when I select nothing in Parameter then it is displaying all data from all the group and this si what I want. But when I import the same CR in SAP and running same report it is not allwoing me to paas Null value so that I can get all the data as output.
This is giving right result if I dirctly run CR by refreshinh Parameter but same thing I run from SAP and put the parameter field blank it is giving me error that Parameter (ItemGroup) is mandatory
Can anybody assist me how to solve this?

Crystal in B1 8.8 - optional parameters not working
The problem is that when called from B1 the hasvalue command always returns true, hence the checking for nulls and spaces etc. as well.
You keep the parameter definition as Optional.
This works find for character fields, both single select and ranges, and I have gotten around it for numerics etc by using a SQL formula to cast these to character fields in the data being queried.
I have yet to be motivated enough to see how to code around this for multi valued fields.

Dear all,
When I create a notification in SAP Work Manager 6.0, the notification gets created in the back-end with Start Date equal to Current Date + 1 day and End Date equal to Current Date + 3 days.
Can you advise where I can customize this behaviour, so that the Start Date is for example equal to the Current Date and End Date being 14 days in the future? Is this something that would need to be configured in Agentry Editor or within the ABAP stack?

We went this route and identified the initial values, and tried to modify those.
No impact though, as if those values are being overwritten elsewhere (whatever value we set, no change on the backend).

The date range insertion facility in consignment inforrecord in not available in SAP stnd you have negotiate with vendor which he has agrrend upon that he will submit the invoice during that period stock either has to consumed with movt type 201 K Consumption for cost center from consignment stores or make it to the own stock with movt type 411 K Transfer posting consignment to own. Then liability of paying to the vendor. This is mutully agreed with with vendor. -
How to set up start and end dates for validity of contract account in FICAx

Can anyone tell me where can I set up the validitiy period for the contract account in FICA. In contract creation, I could just see the contract validity start date. I also need to know the validity end date. Please let me know the solution asap.

SantoshYes, you're right, you would then need to develop a lot of user exits to prevent the re-use of the contract account after the validity date.
I'm think in a strange solution, it could work but you'll need to test it. if a contract account is marked for deletion (Field FKKVKP-LOEVM equal to 'X') no further action can be made over it, When you create you contract account you can schedule a change using as validity date (Field BUS000FLDS-VALDT ins the change contract account screen) to the end date of you contract account and set this deletion flag. then you run FPP2A to activate the schedule changes, before you get to the end date the flag is not set, when you get to the end date FPP2A will activate the flag and the contract account becomes not usefull.
If you do this, you have be careful because all the postings to the contract account won't be possible, it means that if there are payment to be made, interests to be calculated, etc... nothing will be posted.
