Eror Creating New Technical System in portal(SLD)

Hi creating SLD through Techinal system(in portal).When i click to register Message server to enter message server name and port ,it is displaying a below error:-

SLD-Bridge / Data Supplier Bridge and new technical systems

Hi,
The data supplier (data collection process) periodically sends data to the SLD bridge. This SLD bridge provides this information to the SLD.
My question: Will new technical systems be created(!) and updated automatically in the SLD by using SLD bridge??
Or do I have to create new technical systems allways manually by SLD browser??

How about the "creation" process of technical systems??
I am confused of the idea of the SLD bridge. The idea sounds great to me, but how is the link between the technical systems and all these collected data passed to the SLD realized??

SLD Configuration to New Technical System is failed.

Hi,
As per the error - the technical system already exists in the SLD. You could check in the list of existing technical systems if system STV already exists. If you want, use the same entry or else delete it first and try registering the system.
Also, why are you recreating the system manually now? Was there a restore, system copy or any other activity?
Manually creating the is not recommended. Auto register the system to SLD via RZ70 for ABAP or SLD Data supplier in Visual Admin for Java systems.

Thanks for the Blog. It was really enlightening to find out how the Technical systems are registered. But my problem is not solved yet.:(
I have newly installed a CRM 2007 system, and tried to see the Technical systems AS ABAP and AS JAVA which should be automatically created. But no AS ABAP system was created. So i tried doing it using your Blog.
In the Admin tab of SLD, i did not find any "Data Suppliers Bridge", but there was a "Data Suppliers" tab. On clicking it, i verified that sld/active was TRUE, and then updated the data in RZ70 and clicked on Activate button. The activation was successfully done, but no new AS ABAP Technical system appeared.
Is there any more configs left to be done? Please help me out with this issue. Thanks in Advance.

New Technical Systems in SLD, but Database not found

After i creating a Technical Systems about BW system, the Database missed, especially the database tab of the Technical Systems is grey.
i've already checked the installation number, database host, msg server, app server, port, but still not work.
i also try to remove it and create again.
anything i miss? or how to check step by step?
any suggestion?

If not download from SAP marketplace and update in SLD.

Hi,
For technical system of type WebAS ABAP, you do not create it manually in SLD......instead its process is to log into R/3 system and run transaction RZ70 and from this transaction technical details of R/3 system are published to SLD of XI..........this is a basis activity and so you can ask your basis guys to do it for you...........then when it is done, then your Web AS system will be created in technical system in SLD with all the data filled properly.

Creating a Business system in the SLD

I am receiving an error message when trying to create a business system in the SLD. The error is "The selected client has an associated logical system nae that is already used for another business system. Select a different client."
Here is my issue. The business system that I am creating is for our R/3 4.6C production system. I currently have a business system for our R/3 4.6C quality system. Our prodution and quality R/3 systems do have the same logical system name and client number. This is because we recreate our qaulity R/3 system from our production system.
So, the question is, How do I create a business system in the SLD for my production R/3 system when the logical system name is used assoicated with and business system.
I should add that all my R/3 systems have been created as technical systems without any problems.

It is recommended to have all ALE names unique.
If it is not possible the following workaround can be used.
Create one system in SLD (business system/technical system) which contains the ALE name. Proposal: The production system
Create the other systems(dev/QA) without the ALE name
During configuration the production system will be configured as usual.
For Dev/QA systems: Define in the receiver agreement the header mapping and use The Receiver service to reference the production system. Because you reference the production system the ALE name of the production system will be used to fill the idoc.

Buisness system can not find the relevant technical system in xi sld

I set up r3 business system and technical system landscape in xi SLD, somehow the business system cannot find the relevant system landscape, does anybody have any suggestions what's possiblly goes wrong in my sld setting or how should I debug?

Well did you create the technical system or was it created or used before>? Unless it was done you can't create Business System for the specified technical system.

Technical system creation in SLD

Hi,
1. I have installed Netweaver sneak preview-java edition.
2. I am trying to create a new technical system for WebAS ABAP. We are on ECC 5.0 .
3. I have imported Cimsap.zip and content.zip successfully.
4. Now in the screen "Technical system wizard-software products and components" under "Available products" section i am not finding an entry fo ECC5.0. Here what system name should i select to proceed further.
Do i need to make any entry in host and services files, or anything else i have to do?

You will probably achieve the same result if you were to use SAP R/3 4.7 Try using it instead, see if it works. I think that it will.

TREX as an Technical System in the SLD

Via the sldreg my TREX instance is entering it's information into the SLD. But now I have to add my TREX instance to a technical system in the SLD.
Normally an ABAP or a Java system registers itself into the SLD with a technical system, but TREX doesn't do this
How do I add my TREX instance to a technical system in the SLD?

Unable to create New Business System

Hi
I Installed XI 3.0 and configuring as per the configuration guide.
When I try to create Business System (SLD) I get the following error message.
"Integration Server already defined There is already an integration server defined for the selected technical system. Please select role Application System."
Steps:
Logon on to SLD
Click on New Business System
Name: XID and click on Next
Technical System Type: Web AS for ABAP
Select System: XID on Hostname   and select Client
Installed products: Choose all and click Nextt
Integration Server:
Business System Role: Integration Server
Pipeline url: http://HOST:PORT/sap/xi/engine/entry?action=execute
Initially I created Business System with wrong Name (P01) . I deleted it and try to recreate with new name (XID) I get the above error.
How to create a Business system and assign the role of Integration Server?

Hi RG,
      Once we had   same error ,due to some reason business system with role integration server deleted.
       It has been resolved by deleting XI technical system and recreating same after that it allows to define new bussiness system with role as integration server .

Hi -
Using the VA corresponding to the Web AS Java system, goto the SLD Data Supplier service, then Runtime tab->HTTP Settings tab (bottom). fill in required parms and save. To trigger an initial send, use the button ("This triggers data transfer to SLD...") - left most button on upper toolbar of service. Check your SLD for tech system creation.

Technical system in client SLD is not updated in master SLD

Hi,
We are running on PI 7.0. We have 2 SLDs in (system A and system B) and both the SLD's are connected with additional SLD (system C). System C' SLD dont have system B's technical system for Web AS JAVA at all and Web AS ABAP only last updated on 03/05/2009. What and where I should check on the configurations if anything is missing. System A's techincal system are being updated daily to system C's SLD.

How PI uses technical system information in SLD

Hi Experts,
I know there are business system and technical system registered and associated in SLD.
Especially for those SAP systems, in our normal PI scenario, how PI uses the technical information which was registered under Technical System in SLD since we need again configure the host/port and credentials details in the sender/receiver channel in ID.
Or SLD is just one central place for collecting all the technical information together only for life cycle management?
There is nothing more to do with the Tech System (SLD), PI only needs the business system in scenario.

Let me provide an example to describe the need fot technical systems.
Think of an outbound scenario : SAP ECC/CRM -> PI -> Third Party (ex: SOAP)
Now just think how PI will identify what the sender is (ECC/CRM or 3rd party) if the TS is not registered in SLD? The Business Systems are logical systems whcih points to Technical Systems (application systems that are installed in system landscape). TS hold the information about the actual systems, its host, IP, clients etc.
Now based on the source BS which points to TS, the target binding is done in Receiver Determination pipeline step. Now if there is no TS attached to the BS how can PI identify whether ECC or CRM is sending the data and hence will not be able to identify the relevant target for the source.
Think of Business Systems as sitting on top of Technical Systems, and when the landsape details are not known for third party systems we use Business Component/Business Service.
