Error -1 at private_5640_bitstream Downloader -- FPGA Programming Error

Hi, 
I ran the sample "NI5640R Analog Input and Output" example that is provided along with the board and I got an error saying
"Error -1 occurred at private_5640_bitstream Downloader.vi:2
Possible reason(s):
FPGA Programming Error
(INIT_B pulled low 
during configuration)
Possible reason(s):
FPGA Programming Error(INIT_B pulled low during configuration)"
Please suggest me what should I do to get the DAQ board working again.

Is this a shared computer? Could somebody else have installed something that broke software compatibility?
One way we can check is by looking for an installation log. Go to C:\Users\All Users\National Instruments\Installation Logs\InstallationSummaryLog.xml. If the log exists (which it may not), open it up and scroll to the bottom. Look for install events that happened since it was last known to work.
Also something we can do is try repairing your install. Go to Add/Remove Programs>>National Instruments Software. Find the NI-5640R 1.1 driver, select it, and click repair. I believe that it should repair your NI-RIO install as well.
If you want to send me your InstallationSummaryLog.xml, I would be happy to take a look at it. You can attach it to a private message if you like. Also, if you know the last time that the board was working, it might narrow things down for me.

  • Getting a "Download Error" and can't download any programs or see my app list.

    I am using a Macbook Pro with OSX 10.9.1 and I have been paying for and using CC for several months. This week, I had a persistent bug with Ps so I uninstalled it, with the intent of reinstalling to see if that fixed the error. However today when I clicked the CC icon and went to Apps, none of my programs show up. Instead, it just says "Download Error. Please retry again or contact customer support." There was a button to "reload applications" but nothing happens when clicked. I just want to download the programs I am paying for!
    I have an internet connection (obviously, since I'm posting here) and have looked through the forums and support articles with no luck. I tried uninstalling CC, using the CC cleaning tool, and reinstalling, but nothing changed except that now I can't use any of my CC programs since they were all uninstalled with the clean. I have restarted my computer and checked my connection. I also waited on hold for live support for a while, but I'm at work and I honestly don't have the time to sit and stare at my screen, waiting, for an indeterminate amount of time.
    Can anyone help me with this? I can't do my job without the CC programs so this is extremely frustrating.

    I think I have fixed this. Even more googling found me a community support thread where following the advice in #5 and #9 seem to have brought my Apps tab back to life. Specifically, I deleted the folder mentioned and restarted the program. This took two tries to take effect.
    Now I am redownloading Ps and will post back if I run into another roadblock. Thanks for all yr help Adobe, that $20/mo really buys excellent support and all the articles were super helpful with my issue. /Sarcasm

    I am trying to download the free trial of Photoshop, but the error code: 201 keeps popping up with no further detail. What does this error code mean?

    I assume you are using the Creative Cloud desktop to download Ps CC? Try signing out, restarting your computer, and signing back in.

    Hello, which firefox version have you downloaded?
    Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
    You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
    Then perform these steps:
    *Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
    *In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
    *In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
    *Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
    Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

    See if the "stable" version released on 30 June is compatible with Firefox 5.0. That page doesn't mention which versions of Firefox it is compatible with, a serious oversight, IMO. <br />

    hello , I got the same error while opening a workbook, and I found that this is happening coz I made some changes in Query  structure contained into workbook.
    So when you are opening and inserting the input variable do following things:
    1.Open the workbook and insert the variable, but do not click "OK" just click on "CANCEL",
    and your Workbook will display without data .
    2.Now go to "Design Mode" reinsert the query by refreshing  dataprovider(data analysis grid), and do the changes if you required and exit design mode,
    3. Save workbook and now insert the variable values  and check  the work book will work without any error.

    I found a couple of messages related to this topic but unfortunately no solution that fits for me. I have the following problem. In 7.0 we implemented a very simple prototype currency translation and it worked just fine. We migrated the appsets etc. to 7.5 SP4 and I was gonna run the currency translation but the script gives me the following error in the package as well as in the script logic tester:

    For that reason, the package of course runs on an error.

    I hope you 've configured " Currency Conversion Business Rules" in main Financial App, as required.
    In the meanwhile, as I could not find much details of error LOG report in your message,  I suggest you to have some insight of possibility of error ("UJK_EXECUTION_EXEPTION:Run Program Error") in the following thread for your reference:

    Go to "control panel" then "add or remove programs".  Highlight "Apple software update"  Choose "change" click "Repair"  This should do the trick.  Then download and install iTunes 10.5 again.

    Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
    Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

    Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:

    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
    The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.
