Error #1009:appears when trying to moveti another frame

Question

Hi, I have a short animated intro that is added as a child to the stage. At the end of the animation this is my code:
stop();
stage.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, goNext);

    MovieClip(parent).gotoAndStop("menu");
after a few seconds I get this in my ouput window:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at Flute/frame450()Frame 450 is the last frame on the intro
I have a skip intro button that appears when the intro is playing. If I use that button it moves to my next label("menu")
with no error.
I shifted to the stage event listener thinking that might identify the MovieClip.
Any suggestions as to how I can solve this.

ok, going back to the link i referenced above....let me explain a little further.....
in my FIRST post on that thread, i have the code i was using.....
look at the line:
bg.addChild(bgloader);
bg is the instance name for a movie clip on my stage....the movie clip is just a shape i drew, and then 0 the alpha out....it acts as the container for my SWFS
now, notice at the top of the code, and below we have :
var Xpos:Number=0; // this is setting the x and y coordinate for your loader ( i named mine bgloader )
var Ypos:Number=0;
var swf:MovieClip;
and
bgloader.x=Xpos; // this is where it tells your swf where to load in the movie clip
bgloader.y=Ypos;
so what you want to do is create a shape, and make it as big as the area you want the intro to be ( im assuming the size of your stage )
once you make the shape, convert it to a movie clip...go inside the movieclip and 0 out the alpha...
when you click the shape that is in the movie clip, in the properties tab it should tell you the x and y coordinates are 0....if you move the shape, it will change the coordinates....
give the movie clip an instance name of "holder"
try this code:
