just wanna command an analog output with a little program using intermediate vi/but when i execute it an error 10403 appears/need sone to help me

What type of DAQ device do you have? You can check the KB below about getting this error on certain boards.

You might also try the simple example that ships with LabVIEW. Write N Updates.vi
Hope this helps.

  • Error 10403 in "so config" in windows 2000

    Hi
I am using Labview 7.1, I Installed it on Windows 2003 advanced server. I configured my sound card and execute my program without error. on the same computer, I had windows 2000 profesional, I installed labview 7.1 on it and compiled my program under windows 2000 on the same computer (and so, same hardware), but i recieved error code 10403 on my "so config" module! my sound card volume didnt work on windows 2000 by labview. what is the problem? does anybody know why?
    Best regards

    masoudk,
So if I understand you correctly, when you run your program in Win 2000 as a VI, you hear sound but can't change the colume. If you then turn the exact same code into an executable and run it on the same computer, the program works correctly. Is that correct?
Also, what is accessHW and once you installed it how did you problem "get less"? Is there any circumstance in which you don't get error 10403? Do you have the exact same drivers for your sound card installed in Win 2003, XP and 2000?

  • Send error report? No! I just want my music!

"iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Every time i click on iTunes it asks me if i want to send an error report. I doesn't even tell me what type of error it's having.I tried reinstalling iTunes and the same thing kept happening. Any ideas?

    Hello Julie,
Your songs and iTunes balance are fine, they are not influenced by the iTunes applications or any issues it may have. The message you are experiencing indicates the folder where iTunes is saved has changed, or no longer exists. Since you are using a shortcut (a link to where the application iTunes is installed) and you're getting this message, it means the iTunes application is not where it used to be located.
I would suggest trying to reinstall iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes and let us know if you encounter any errors messages.

  • How to reset buffer pointer for analog output generation?

I am doing a finite analog output generation on a USB-6216
    Sequence of events:
    DAQmx Create Task
    DAQmx Timing (finite samples, 1000Hz)
Use DAQmx timing property SampQuantamples per channel to set buffer size
    Write buffer with DAQmx Write
    Repeat
      DAQmx Start Task
      DAQmx Wait until done
      DAQmx Stop Task
    Until finished
    DAQmx Clear Task
I get a full waveform output on the first iteration of the loop. On subsequent iterations I get only a small section of the waveform, but no error. It seems that it is regenerating the waveform, because when I switch off regeneration I get an error at Start Task, but before it can regenerate all the data Wait Until Done.vi decides that the generation is done and exits, stopping the generation.
I have done this with a PCI device and it works fine; every call to Start Task generates the whole waveform again.
OK, so it looks like after every waveform generation completes I need to reset the pointer to the start of the buffer, so that the Wait Until Done vi does not think the generation is done. Or - maybe there is a way to reset the "Generation Done" state?
I'm sure there's an easy way to do this....?

    Hi CDancer,
Many thanks for contacting National Instruments. If I can start by giving some general advice, it would be well worth posting your actual VI. This helps others on this forum in helping you with your application.
From the sounds of things, you want to do continuous analog output generation. I have had a look at the examples that come with LabVIEW and I think you should look at the one below.
I would have a look at some of the DAQmx examples that come installed with LabVIEW. The following example would be particularly relevant I feel
    Cont  Gen Voltage Wfm-Int Clk-non Regeneration.vi
Please let me know how you get on.

  • Error 10403 at AO Buffer COnfig, PCI-6703

Using any of the solutions generated by the DAQ solution wizard (such as Custom Funciton Generator) for multipoint waveforms, I always get Error 10403 at the AO Buffer Config. I saw this problem posted earlier, but there was no solution.
    Labview 6.0
    NI-DAQ ver. 6.9.1
    PCI-6703
    Win2000
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,

    Hi Tony,
First of all, I am not NI. I am just a guy who has worked with NI stuff and have learned what to look out for. All I can do is try to help, so here goes.
The -10403 error is the driver telling you that you are attempting something that is not possible. After reading your response, I broke out a catalog to figure what is up with the 6703.
First, the block diagram shows no on-board buffer. This is bad.
Second, the fine print (see page 396) shows that only "Programmed I/O" is available (see Data Transfers). This is also bad.
I would suggest you contact NI directly to discuss the posiblity of trading in the 6703 towards credit for an interface that will meet your needs.
If you have any other questions that you think I may be ab
le to help with, "fire-away" (just don't kill the messenger:<)) ).

  • AI Group Config error -10403 when using DAQPad-6070E

    I am using a DAQPad-6070E with attached device SCB-68.
Yesterday, I was able to read in analog waveforms using the attached file. Today, without any changes made to the file, I get an error -10403 in AI Group Config.
What could be causing this error since no changes were made in the file or in Measurement and Automation Explorer configuration?
My system configuration is as follows:
    Windows XP
Measurement and Automation Explorer v. 2.2.0.3010
    NI-DAQ v. 6.9.2f4
    LabVIEW v. 6.1

I haven't been able to run your VI since I'm lacking one of the subVIs in your design, but taking a look I have a few suggestions. I noticed that the device and channels controls for AI Config are both hidden on the front panel. The default values for these controls should be checked to make sure that they agree with the device number in MAX. You could place a probe on all of the inputs to the AI Config VI and let us know what values are being sent.
Also, try resetting the device driver through MAX, just in case another program did not release some resources that are needed by your VI.

Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
    Restart the PC first.
If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", and click "Change". Select "Repair" and click "Next" as per the following screenshot:
Can you launch your iTunes now?

    many thanks Carl.

You must boot from another drive in order to erase the system drive.
Try starting up with Snow Leopard DVD inserted and C depress. That should get you booted from the DVD. Then start Disk Utitlity from DVD and erase the disk then you should be able to install Snow Leopard.
Remember that everything will be removed from the disk when you erase it and install Snow Leopard so backup first.

  • Installing Tiger (errors, & "oh I just want to see my desktop again")

    So.
In order to install Tiger 10.4 I had to first install 10.3 onto my 10.2.8 iMac.
    Tonight I upgraded 10.2.8 to 10.3, successfully.
Then I tried to upgrade 10.3 to 10.4.
At the end of the game I received the message "There were errors installing 10.4. Please try installing again."
Installing again produces the same message.
But if I try to give up and restart from the internal hard drive, my only option is to select 10.4 on the internal hard drive, so obviously an unperfect version has latched on to it.
If I select this then I cannot reach my desktop, but do get a long text message which begins with "panic" and ends with "panic: We are hanging here..." [I can include a more exact version of the message when I see it again].
I have run Disk Utility> First Aid> Repair Disk, but I believe there were no necessary repairs that could be found.
Nonetheless I am now trying to install 10.4 again, though now my iMac is making these little hard-working clicking noises during the process.
So I'll update this if anything changes, but as of now
    My question is:
-How do I successfully install 10.4, or
-How do I rid the computer of this flawed version of 10.4, or
-How do I reinstall 10.3 at this point?
I just want to get back to being OK/ seeing my desktop.
At this point I am not sure how to eject the installation DVD, as the eject key on the keyboard's not doing it.
    Thank you.

    Update:
OK Well I got 10.3 re-installed alright (although the screen looks a little different-- everything on the desktop seems slightly bigger and less sharply defined).
I have yet to re-try 10.4, but I'm not sure what to do differently. I'll look at it again tomorrow perhaps there were some things off of apple.com I could download/update to make this go more smoothly).
