I am currently using NI PXI-1045 to test RF signal from a device under test. I am using an exact copy of an example used for NI-RFSA. The unit under test is connected to the input of Ni PXI-5600 which is wired with Ni PXI-5142 to create NI-PXI-5661. When I run my vi, I got the following message " Error -1074118653 occurred at niRFSA Initialize.vi
Possible reason(s):
The device specified is not supported by this driver.
Status Code:-223543"

OK, then open Measurement and Automation Explorer(MAX). It sounds like you need to associate the downconverter with the digitizer. On the left side of MAX expand the devices and interfaces tree and then expand the chassis tree. Right click on the 5600 device (slot 8) and select properties and associate it with your digitizer.

    I'm new to LabView and to IVI drivers, and I'm having problem connecting to a LeCroy LT344 oscilloscope. 
    I have LabView 12.0, MAX 5.3 and the lctlxxxx IVI driver installed. I already configured the driver, and I can use the VISA test panel to communicate with the scope. However, when I try to run the IviScope - Acq Wfm Edge Triggered.vi example (after choosing the IVI Logical name), it gets stucked in the IviScope Initialize.vi block, and generates the following error:
    Error -1074135038 occurred at IviScope Initialize With Options.vi
    Possible reason(s):
    Primary Error: (Hex 0xBFFA0002) File could not be opened.

    I'm getting an intermittant error with my switch card:
    Error -1074126826 occurred at niSwitch Initialize.vi
    Possible reason(s):
    Max time exceeded.
    Device: SWT1-DUTSwitching

    It happens about 25% of the start-ups (fixed with a restart).  I can't find the error codes in any documentation - has anyone got any ideas please?

    Hi all,
    While initializing NI PXI-4130 power source I got the error "Error -1073807343 occurred at niDCPower Initialize With Channels.vi".
    The routine is in a sub VI already working since two years.
    No problem accessing the supply with NI-DCPower Soft Front Panel.
    I have the problem since Thursday after installing some LabVIEW updates (don't remember which ones, just all the available).
    Is this problem known?
    Can anybody help me?

    I have two cFP-2120 RT controller. They both have NI-Serial RT2.5.6, DataSocket for LV RT4.2, NI-VISA 3.6, FP Drivers 5.1.0, FP VI Manager 3.1.0 LV RT 7.1.1 installed. But one same vi can run on one controller but not another.
    the error message got when it runs on another controller is "Error -32810 occurred at  The FieldPoint server initialization failed. Possible causes: 1. Missing or corrupt configuration file; 2. Failed to create callbacks. : FP Open.vi"
    I wonder by what it is caused?

    Hi Matthew,
    As mentioned previously, this KnowledgeBase article may be of some help. Also, if your code is being run on an embedded controller and then a network controller (not embedded), you will need to run the program differently. On the embedded controller, you should deploy your VI in a Project Explorer or programmatically (as described here.) However, you do not need to deploy the program to a network controller, but simply run the VI.
    I would also suggest creating a new .IAK file. Do you still see the same error? Also, double-check that the software installed on the controller matches the software installed on the host PC. If you have any file paths associated with one FieldPoint controller, ensure that you are changing them to match the second controller.

    We just upgraded our CRM Dev system from 4.0 to 5.0.  We've already done this once on our Sandbox.  However, in our Dev environment, I execute CRM_IC.  Select my profile and then get an exception.

    This is the line of code that the exception occurs.  I debugged through, but not sure what the problem is.    It seems like it should have something to do with the runtime profile, but I can't seem to find anything wrong.  This problem doesn't happen in the sandbox, but we are on a slightly higher support pack in our Development environment.

      Thank for your reply.  I already recompiled CRM_IC.  I'm trying to execute the standard Webclient and still getting the error.  I also reactivated CRM_IC_DT_REP and CRM_IC_RT_REP, but no luck.   I went to SICF and made sure all the services starting with CRM_IC were activated too.  Any other suggestions?

    I want to create an executable from a VI wich calls a dll created by Simulink and Simulation Interface Toolkit.
     After I compile the simulink module with MSVC++ 6.0 in MATLAB,and then use this dll in LabVIEW, 
    the following message appears:

    I am running the attached code Merrit_Coil_calibration, and I get the following error:
    Error -200587 occurred at DAQmx Start Task.vi:7
    Possible reason(s):
    Requested operation could not be performed, because the specified digital lines are either reserved or the device is not present in NI-DAQmx.
    It is possible that these lines are reserved by another task, the device is being used through the Traditional NI-DAQ interface, or the device is being reset. You might also get the error if the specified resource is currently in use by LabVIEW network variables bound to the DAQ Channel, or if the DAQ Channel is being used in any OPC Client software.
    If you are using these lines with another task, wait for the task to complete.  If you are using the device through the Traditional NI-DAQ interface, and you want to use it with NI-DAQmx, reset (initialize) the device using the Traditional NI-DAQ interface. If you are resetting the device, wait for the reset to finish.

    Thank you both for your input.  I slightly changed my code to Merritt_Coil_calibration (updated code attached) and the first error went away, but now I have a different one which is:

    Possible reason(s):
    Value passed to the Task/Channels In control is an empty string (or I/O control).
    The value must refer to a valid task or valid channels.
    As far as what DAQ device I am using, it is the NI USB 6009.  I am only using digital port 0.  During different pieces of my code I send different values to port 0.  I am using this to drive some stepper motors.  I thus send square waves on the different pins on port 0.  I do not know if this is exactly what you were asking. 
    Whatever the case, I was wondering if anyone knows why this error occurs and how I could fix it.

    Hi,
    I hope 440000 will not the cause,
    this might occur due to many reasons,
    1. make sure you have all the components(Applications,OSlevel,DBlevel) are at same level in entire the landscape.
    2. you can observe the evenlogs at OSlevel to get the error information pointing to. Also check for the dumps/logs(work direcotry).
    3. if not, can open SAP message.

  • Surface Pro 3 - MBAM/BitLocker/TPM: "An Error Has Occurred" Issue

    We are trying to implement full disk encryption using MBAM Server/Client and BitLocker. We have been successful on standard Windows 7 Ent and Windows 8.1 Ent laptops and the MBAM Console reports encrypted/compliant.
    The Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1 Ent however has been a pain in the you-know-what! It just will not work like our laptops. The Event Viewer error we get is as follows:
    "An error occurred while applying MBAM policies.

    You must initialize the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) before you can use BitLocker Drive Encryption."
    For reference, here is our workflow:
    1. Enable TPM in UEFI.
    2. Install .NET 3.5 since this is apparently a Windows 8.1 requirement for MBAM. Reboot. Install related updates from Microsoft Update. Reboot.
    3. Verify relevant MBAM & BitLocker GPOs are applied by running "gpupdate /force" in an elevated command prompt. Reboot.
    4. Run the following elevated PowerShell commands and then reboot:
    $tpm=get-wmiobject -class Win32_Tpm -namespace root\cimv2\security\microsofttpm
    $tpm.DisableAutoProvisioning()
    $tpm.SetPhysicalPresenceRequest(22)
    5. Install MBAM Client 2.5 and KB2975636 hotfix.
    6. Run MBAMClientUI.exe and set PIN. On our laptops, encryption begins, but on the Surface Pro 3 we get a generic "An error has occurred". Event Viewer shows the above error.
    Can anyone help?? There has got to be others that have used MBAM on the Surface Pro 3.

    More testing today and I *think* I may have found my issue.
    I failed to mention that on step 5 above, I have been rebooting after installing the MBAM Client and hotfix. It appears that this extra reboot breaks the process and does not allow the MBAM Client to initialize the TPM when running MBAMClientUI.exe. If I do
    not reboot, then everything seems to work great.

    I have created an small servlet application: HelloServlet.
    I have followed the instructions of tutorial contained in the Developer's Guide
    I have compiled the servlet without problems.
    But When I write the URL in my browser
    http//host.domain:port/virtual_path/HelloServlet
    occurs the next:
    "An application error has occured. Please try again."
    Also I have created a DAD for accesing a database Oracle8i 8.1.5 existing in the same machine but other ORACLE_HOME that OAS.
    Then, I installed the utilies: Logger Tables, PL/SQL Toolkit, Log Analyzer and Database Browser, in this order.
    But, when I try to access the Database Browser utility appears the same message:
    "An application error has occured. Please try again".
    Any help well be appreciated???

    But, when I am going to deploy from my browser, then next message appears

    I increase the virtual memory but this I do not work.
    I check the wrb.log file and there isn't a error that to me it orients. My severity leves is 15.
    Now, my application log file, named jservlets.log, has the next error, but I don't understand it:
    `An internal error has occurred: can't find cartridge class name. Please try again.`
    `Java cartridge runtime initialization complete.
    I Already don't know to do.
    Any help will be very appreciated.

    Usually someone has been down the track before and occasionally they post some useful details which may help others to investigate and/or eliminate factors in their particular case.
    This AccessibleMarshal.dll error seems to have a long history --- posts from 2006 with early Firefox versions had issues similar to yours.

    particularly since it mentions the problem would occur on a clean install (no previous instance of Firefox on the system and Windows before Vista --??)

    I am have written a program with labview to make transient c-v measurement using a stanford research SR830 lockin amplifier. The program seems to be runing fine, but sometimes it is givvibg an error:

    but if I press ok, the program again starts running. What might be the poblem? BTW I googled a bit and I see that in the labview topic "RS-232 Framing Error with HP 34401A Mulitmeter" by pkennedy32 this is what is said about framing error:
    ""Framing Error" in an RS-232 context means a very specific thing - when the receiver was expecting a stop bit, the line was not in SPACE condition. This can be the result of:
    1... Baud rate mismatch (although other problems would likely crop up first).
    2... Data Length problem, If I send 8 data bits and you expect 7, the stop bit is in the wrong place.
    3... Parity setting mismatch - If I send 7 data bits + parity and you expect 7 data bits and no parity, the stop bit is in the wrong place.
    4... Mismatch in # Stop bits - If I send you 7 Data bits + parity + one stop bit, and you expect 7 data bits + parity + TWO stop bits, the second one might not be correct, although most devices do not complain about this.
    But, I must say that this is the same com port setting that I use to measure c-v hysterysis, but I never gt this error there.

    @Dennis Knutson  you are right I checked the read indicator in backslash mode, and instead of a \n it is sending \r. So I changed the \n in my write strings to \r. But, if I keep the CLOSE VISA outside my loop instead of inside as you suggested, the termination character appears to come in the middle of the read string instead at the end. And since the read terminates at the \r so it is displaying some junk value before the \r, but if I put the CLOSE VISA outside the loop and play along with the bytes at the read buffer, I see the whole read string with the \r  at the end of the string. But, whenever the values are in exponential form (when close to zero) like 6.938839 e-5, I always get a time out error whatever be the timeout that I put at the VISA initialize. And subsequently, if I stop the program and run it again the machine program hangs and I donot get any reading. Then after I close it again and start, sometimes it hangs for some more or starts working. If I put an arbitrarily large byte count at the READ VISA, then I always get the time out before the operation completed error.
    @ Ravens Fan I have removed the CSAC VI altogether and taking the CH! And CH” reading separately, instead as one string. So, no more issues with that.
    I use the control at the delay so that I can choose how much delay I want to set, and I use the math operation because I am using adding up the delay time to keep track of the time elapsed. Because in the end I have t plot a time vs. CH! And CH” readings.
    I am not sure but probably I am making some silly errors. Please help me out.
