Error 1418 occurs in windows only in my case

Ok, i've got the latest version of iTunes installed on my computer. But when i try to restore my 4gb iPod nano error 1418 occurs Note that my brother has a macbook pro and everything is working well for him, he can download music into my iPod, for instance. What do i do, how can i work this problem out?

i connected my iPod to another win xp sp 2 computer and managed to restore it. I did't however authorize my nano there. then i plugged the iPod into my computer and tried to upload a song from iTunes library. The prosess begun and then the following error occured: "The iPod "My iPod" cannot be updated. The required file cannot be found" any suggestions? i suppose it to be some kind of hardware issue.

  • RDS 2012 (An Authentication error has occurred 0x607) - WINDOWS 8 ONLY

Hi - please help. I've read many posts relating to this error, but none have fixed my issue.
We have an RDS 2012 setup.  2 Servers.  Both session hosts.  only 1 is the broker.  Cert from official CA.
My authentication is set to ONLY allow devices with Network Level Authority.  I don't want to remove this.
Windows XP and Windows 7 can connect both internally, and externally via the RDWeb address perfectly fine, but all Win8 machines get the error "An authentication error has occurred. Code 0x607.
    Can anyone please advise why?
    Many thanks

    Hi,
I have seen other similar cases got resolved by setting the encryption level to low and security layer to Negotiate.
    Here is a thread below:

If it is not an option for you, I suggest you check whether the SSL certificate used by RDWeb access is trusted by the Windows 8 clients. There should be a corresponding root CA certificate installed in the Trusted Certification Authorities store.

  • An internal error has occurred within Explorer only

When within explorer, since the Adobe CS6 Suite update a few days ago (June 2014--I do all of my updates manually once a moth or so) when I click on a PDF file I get an, "an internal error has occurred" window. At that point Explorer freezes. I need to wait a few seconds and then the pdf file will open with no problems. Obviously something has happened since the last update and obviously as well this not a good thing since every time I click on a new file the same error occurs and I must wait once again etc. etc.
    Thank you

My Apologies for not being clear nor complete. I was referring to Windows Explorer running within Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
And as not clearly mentioned by me I guess, I have no problem with Acrobat or Reader since I can read or work with them well. The issue only lies with Win Explorer. To rephrase: Windows Explorer is open. I see pdf files. I click on any of them (A simple click, just to highlight, not to open, not to anything.) and the error shows up/pops up behind the Explorer window--or all other windows). I then must wait about 15 to 20 seconds before the Explorer window can be used again. I then can double-click on the file, or press on Enter on the keyboard and the file will open without problem.
Also this problem did not exist before and no new related software has been installed since. However, possibly related hardware--a '' HP Officejet J4580'' All-in-one printer/scanner.

It has something to do with the os update my problem was as soon as I saved a picture for a screensaver then my computer a pc would fail to recognize the phone all apple could do was replace the phone three times and have me reinstall iTunes 12 times then wipe my hard drive and that still did not solve the problem apple said that they are working on a solution that was almost two weeks ago hopefully a fix will be here soon apples loyal customers are losing their patience I almost wish that I never purchased the phone when it works it's great but when it don't boy they know how to mess things up. You might try restoring the phone.

  • Problematic Button Sound audio latency occuring in Windows only

    hi
we have a music composer game for school children where they click buttons to play short samples in time with a backing track.
Our .swf file when run on a Mac works fine with no discernible latency.
When played on a Windows machine ( and also seemingly on Flash via an Android browser) there is a significant latency on pressing the button before hearing the sample which makes the game unplayable. Same .swf file is used. It is something like 2-400 milliseconds delay.
We have tried using Sound Objects, pre-loading sounds, using action script 1, using wav files, different sample rates of mp3 and different audio settings, plus having silent sound playing etc. Have tried exporting .swf as Flash file versions 5 up to 10. Doesn't make a difference. The latency is audible whether .swf is hosted on a webpage or played direct from a hard disk and has been reproduced on many different PCs. NB Our target users (education) nearly always use Windows XP so I haven't tested it on Vista.
What is of interest is that we have a very early .swf we had made in 2006. The activity is very similar (play short samples in time with a backing track) but the latency isn't there on a windows machine. The developer of the 2006 file doesn't have the original .fla file but it was probably coded in Flash 4 or 5 and he doesn't remember doing anything fancy so probably just attaching a sound file to a button down state.
Does anybody else recognise this problem and are there any ways round it?
I would be very grateful for any assistance.
    Best
    Tommy Banana

Right. As I mentioned, though, DirectSound latency was 1/8
second or more, unacceptable for sequential musical beats of about
.6 seconds each. Can you estimate the percentage of Windows systems
in use today that would NOT have QuickTime installed? For Version 1
of this project I included a QuickTime installer on the disk, but
that was almost nine years ago. I was hoping I wouldn't have to
    hassle with that in 2009.

  • Error 1418 on BRAND NEW Video ipod - Only 48 hours old!

    Hi,
Just upgraded from a click wheel ipod to a new 80GB video Ipod. Installed itunes 7.02 and everything worked fine. Last night got the message saying an update was avaliable for my ipod so I clicked update and since then I get the following messages
    1. The ipod could not be read from or written to.
    2. The ipod is in recovery mode and needs to be restored
    3. Unknown error - 1418
    I have tried
    1. 5r's
    2. Reformat through windows
The ipod now says it is corrupt and needs to be restored through itunes but itunes only returns the 1418 message.
I have googled this to death and there seems to be alot of issues with the new firmware. I am really annoyed as I havent even had chance to listen to my music yet and ive spent alot of money on it.
Any one have any ideas please, any other Video users had a similar problem after the firmware update?
    Thanks

The link works for me. However, here's the post.
iTunes7 & 5th gen iPod updating - is this possible solution? (winXP)

Downloaded iTunes 7 and you've gone through the 5 R's until your red in the face?
    * This probable solution 'stumbled upon' using a 60GB video. I have no idea if the process will work the same for nano. But if your desperate and have backed up your library... full steam ahead.
If you've noticed that your iPod does not show up in My Computer, but shows up in iTunes, and the new Update or Restore option within iTunes (Summary tab of a recognized iPod) doesn't work (choosing 'Update' gives you error 1417 and 'Restore' gives you error 1418 - whatever they mean) then give this a try:
    1. Restart your computer - just to make sure we're all on the same page
    2. Start up/Load iTunes
    3. Connect your iPod to your computer - it may take a little time for iTunes to connect to your device
    4. When the dialogue box pops up telling you that a new version of firmware (ver. 1.2) is available choose: INSTALL
    5. As iTunes shows you a progressive bar of 'installing' (the bar scrolls across again and again) use the "Safely Remove Hardware" option in your taskbar and stop "Apple iPod USB Device". The computer will then tell you that the device can now be removed
    6. "Installing" continues... plug in/connect iPod again. The "Install" continues like nothing's happened. Weird, huh?
    7. Apple logo and Update status bar should now appear on your dimmed iPod screen (because of no backlight)
    8. At this point, dialogue box pops up on computer to tell you that updating continues
    9. "Do Not Disconnect" symbol will then show on your iPod
    10. Process finishes after a time, and now the Summary tab says the iPod has been updated.
HA!!! If this is all that troubles you - HUZZAH! And I hope this helped.
Now that we've come this far... I've found that when I normally open iTunes and plug in my iPod to aunto-sync, I now get ERROR (-50) -> Mac needs to get a database online or something to tell me what these 'errors' mean so I don't freak out when I get one...
    1. Go BACK to the Summary tab or your recognized deive in iTunes. Now choose RESTORE. Make sure whatever is on your iPod can be replaced
    2. This part takes time
    3. Computer will pop with dialogue box saying that iPod is restored and being changed to factory settings
    4. Prompt then pops up for you to name your little iPod. At this stage you can choose to 'Auto-sync songs and vids when connected' or 'Auto-sync photos' and from which directory. It's up to you.
    5. iTunes will then thank you for registering your iPod. From this point, the files are copied to your device. Depending on how large your library is affects how long this process takes.

  • "The iPod could not be restored. An unknown error has occurred (1418)" Help!

Hope someone can please help me.
iTunes is asking me to restore my iPod, but an error occurs each time. This is the chain of events.
    1) I connected my iPod to iTunes and it asked if I wanted to update iPod software. I clicked yes.
    2) The iPod then changed from a colour screen to a monochrome screen.
    3) I then had problems with my USB Connection/Driver which I have now resolved.
    4) My iPod asked me to connect to iTunes and restore.
    5) I connect to iTunes and the following message appears
"iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes" So I clicked the restore button.
    6) The restore progresses until the following message appears
"The iPod 'iPod' could not be restored. An unknown error has occurred. (1418).
Basically I have read everything I could get my hands on to try and solve but nothing seems to work.
Really looking forward to some solution.
    Cheers.

  • I was installing a new update on my MacBook Pro. With only 20% left it said "an unknown error had occured, please restart your computer." Now that I've restarted - I can't log in!

Ok, my MacBook haven't had any issues earlier, until today. At first Safari was acting kind of weird in that sense that a lot of letters were missing when you went on certain webpages, so I thought of updating since an alert-window popped up and notified that new updates were ready to be installed. So I opened up App Store through my Applications-folder and selected update.
First it asked if I wanted to connect my Mac to a powersource but since I had charged the battery to 79% I didn't think it was necessary. So I continued, computer restarted and began installing the updates.
Everything went fine until it was approximately three minutes left. An error message popped up and said something like "An unknown error has occured. Please restart your computer and try again". I pressed OK, rebooted my computer and when it asked for my password I typed it in. After I pressed OK, the computer indicated it was the wrong password. I tried multiple times and sometimes with different passwords... so now I can't simply log in! What's the problem?
TL;DR - Updated mac, failed after five minutes and now I can't log back in since "I have the wrong password"

  • Error 7 occurred at Get LV Class Default Value.vi only in my executable for Print Report - LV 2010 SP1

I have a program written which uses the print report function. Everything works fine in the uncompiled code, my report prints just fine. I can compile my project all the way to a full installer. When I run the executable I get the error:

"EMS V3.0 streamline.vi" is my main vi, "print report.vi" is the subvi that creates and prints the report based on all the information sent to it. I get no warning when I compile this to an executable. I already tried repairing both LV SP1 and the report generator toolkit. No change after I compile to an exe.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • "Serious Error has Occurred" message with Windows 7

Just upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit and when trying to open a CS4 project I'd been working on in XP 32-bit I get an error message saying:
    Adobe Premiere Pro
Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down.  We will
attempt to save your current project.
The error occurs over and over until the entire page is filled with this message.
I just installed Production Premium CS4 and did the updates.  I can start a new project without a problem.

Was able to get it to open by starting a new project and importing it, but I can't get it to save.  When I go to save, the Save Project box opens up, but the bar never fills at all, it just freezes up.
I realize Windows 7 is new and most people haven't had a lot of experience with it yet, but was just wondering if anyone else had come across this problem.
    Thanks.

  • I can no longer attach files to my outgoing Hotmail emails.  I only receive a message that an  error has occurred. Help appreciated.

I can no longer attach files to my outgoing Hotmail emails.  I only receive a message where I would expect the Upload to appear that an  error has occurred.
I am using a MacBook Pro with Retina, 2 Ghz Intel Core i7, OS X 10.9.4
I have no difficulty attaching files to the outgoing Hotmails on the same account using my iPhone.
    Help appreciated.

Thanks for this - not an immediate solution I fear but will keep unplugging stuff and restarting stuff.
To try and be clearer about the problem - I have in the last managed to send attachments successfully.  Now  I can send and receive plain email messages but get the error message when I try to attach an existing file to an email - not just a particular file but it would appear all files are being treated in the same way.
An experiment to send a mail to which an attachment has failed to upload got the following message alongside the SEND button
Files with errors will be removed from the email and not sent.
    - but the mail alone was sent and received successfully.  Thanks for any pointers you can give me.
