Error after adjusting time: Timestamp too far in the future

It's 4 o'clock and my clock showed 23h no matter what I did, so I adjusted it manually. After that some commands (like sudo) complain that the timestamp is too far in the future. One possible hack is to touch every file in my system, but that's just ugly. What can I do to correct this?
I'm using KDEMod. I think the best thing would be to tell KDE to synchronize with a server, but I can't find that setting

I cleared the sudo cache with "sudo -K" but I don't know what else was affected. This is a stupid error though

I've got a question regarding a migration scenario from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 / 2013.
In 2003 a pop up appears in general before sending the request if a meeting request is for example too far in the future or if the atendee has no permission for the ressource.
In a few tests we did the request is sent to all the participants and afterwards the room sends the cancellation email. This is very annyoing because in 2003 the request was not sent thereby giving one the possibility to change the meeting with the correct
ressource.
Is it possible to generate this pop up in 2010 / 2013 hindering you to send a meeting request until you get it right as it is in 2003?

"Page not found" error after 5 minutes of see "processing" on the screen

We are using WebLogic 8.1 server and also the WebLogic proxy as our front end. When a user runs a process that takes over 5 minutes using the Proxy URL they receive an IE "Page not found" error after 5 minutes of seeing "processing" on the screen. If they run it on none Proxy URL (directly on WebLogic server) it works fine.
We have looked into the WLIOTimeoutSecs parameter and set in the web.xml for both the HttpClusterServlet and HttpProxyServlet, but this had no affect.
Is there another timeout that controls this 5 minute timeout? It seems if one uses Apache and sets the WLIOTimeoutSecs parameter to a higher number than 300 seconds there is not an issue.
Did this parameter get omitted for the WebLogic Proxy and if so, what does one use?

But what i was thinking is that as this is not a Connection Time Out (500) error, instead its a Page Not Found error, it would be Session-Timeout and not Connection Time-Out.
Maybe I should be looking at:
SESSION-TIMEOUT due to kernel:
Kernel parameter: rdisp/gui_auto_logout
Kernel parameter: rdisp/plugin_auto_logout
as per the SAP OSS Note: 705013
But again, I think this Note is pointing to the SICF service and IAC type of iView and not SAP Transaction type iView. Please advice.

Problem with menus on the right and image is too far to the right.

Notice the difference in sizes of the menus, (Unfamiliar with the correct terminology). I cannot get the Adjustments, Layers, Properties, etc. to all be the same size, increase their width. Notice the loaded image is too far to the right underneath the menus. I have to go to Window/Arrange/Float in window to move the image to the left. Also I cannot get the Maximize/Minimize button to work. How can I fix these problems.

I did that already with the same results. Trying to widen the Adjustment
menu does not work. I am satisfied with
the way the other menus appear. The only other problem that bothers me
is that the loaded image is to far to the
right, and is underneath the menus. The only way I can move the image to
the left is to use the Float in window
command, but it is not permanent. It goes back to the default position
when another image is opened.

Item Button Positioning: Too far to the right with "Begin on New Field"

I'm attempting to add an item button inline with other items. If option "Begin on New Field" is set the button is too far to the right, however, if this option is unset the button is too close to the item on to its left.
Any suggestions on how I can get more granular conrol of this button's location?

For situations like this I highly recommend the Firefox web developer toolbar. Since ApEx makes heavy use of tables for layout, using the "Outline >> Table Cells" feature shows you how things are broken up (with td tags) and offers clues to resolving problems.
There is also a CSS viewer along with a "Display Element Information" option that shows a full hierarchical view of any element on that page that you want to click on. Check it out. You'll be glad you did.
BTW, in your case, it appears that you simply have multiple elements of differing heights that are being vertically-aligned differently. The date picker icon appears to be bottom-aligned with it's associated text box while all the other elements appear to be centered on the row. Correcting it? Don't know. I'm sure Vikas or Carl could come up with a DOM/CSS hack that could make it look the way you want it.

It has always been that the upgrade tries to be the "master" over the older version.
Anyway in Pages 09 you have probably the Comments field showing, making all contetn to move to the right.
Go to View menu > Hide Comments.

Palm Desktop displaying charcaters too far to the left

Hi all,
Wonder if anyone has experienced this problem.
When the first character of an item (task, calendar entry, etc) is "W" it is not displayed correctly. The left most part of the character appears to be cut off. If I put another character in front, say "xW", then it is displayed correctly. It is like it is justifying too far to the left.
I am running desktop 4.1.4 on windows XP.
Any ideas?

BFF62048 Error after some time

Hello everyone,
I need CAN to communicate between a converter and our test cell. I use an NI PCMCIA-CAN/2 Card and LabVIEW 2012 SP 1. My program works fine but after some time I get an the error BFF62048. I know what it means but I don't know where the problem is nor how to solve it.
I use the Channel API for programming the CAN-communication.
The problem is I need to write at different timings on the can. Some messages need to be sent at 12ms others at 100ms. Therefore I initialized the messages in different tasks.
For CAN 1 have 1 readtask and 4 writetasks. For CAN 2 I have 1 readtask and 2 writetasks. I hope it is not too much for this little card.
The readtasks were both executed at 10ms after each other. The writetasks are executed in several parallel loops, except for one writetask. I need to send back an "alive value" immediately, so I read a value from my CAN-read-array and put it back on the CAN with a writetask. Which means I have to access the card 3 times in one loop.
I reduced the execution of my CAN-read-loop from 10ms to 20ms and the program runs much longer. (from ~30 min to 4 hours)
In my opinion the problem should occur immediately after I started my program not after some hours.
If someone have some advices for me, that would be great.

I don't think there is a problem with the bus load. Only 50 % of the capacity is used.
Unfortunately we are in lack of hardware, but I'm sure my code will work on a "real" PCI-CAN card. Is it possible, that the PCMCIA-card maybe has a problem with too many tasks? I couldn't find any information regarding the task limit in the hardware specification or I'm blind

Error Warning that Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to disk, an error occurred while copying files.

I've been getting this warning on my MBA for the last week: "Time Machine couldn’t complete the backup to “LaCie-2big-NAS.” an error occurred while copying files. The problem may be temporary. If the problem persists, us Disk Utility to repair your backup disk."
I have MBA and iMac, both running Maverick (10.9.4), backed up to LaCie NAS. However, when I go to Disk Utility on the MBA and the iMac, the LaCie does not appear and thus can't be selected to run repair. The iMac seems to be backing up to LaCie without problem. And even seems that MBA is backing up sometimes; when I check Time Machine, I can find files added in the last couple of days.
Is this a real problem? What's fix?

You can't repair a network volume in Disk Utility.
Backing up to a third-party NAS with Time Machine is risky, and unacceptably risky if it's your only backup. I know this isn't the answer you want, and I also know that the manufacturer says the device will work with Time Machine, and that it usually seems to work. Except when you try to restore, and find that you can't.
If you want network backup with Time Machine, use as the destination either an Apple Time Capsule or an external hard drive connected to another Mac or to an 802.11ac AirPort base station. Only the 802.11ac base stations support Time Machine, not any older model.
If you're determined to keep using the NAS for backup, your only recourse for any problems that result is to the manufacturer (which will blame Apple.)

Importing old pictures with wrong date stamp. After adjusting date they are landing in the correct folder of referenced masters.

I was thrilled to learn that with Aperture I could have one big library and using referenced masters, I can organize the pictures by date so I know where everything is and can backup to the cloud. I started importing really old photos that were taken with god knows what camera and the date is wrong. Since I had all these in date structured folders I could make a best guess on the date - not needing it to be exact, just so it shows up close enough in projects and the original lands in the right folder for future use & backup. I have come to learn that changing the metadata is only referring to how Aperture sees it. In other words, images that were taken on 10/31/04 are still landing in the referenced masters folder on the date the camera said. I now understand that the metadata date is not the date Aperture needs fixed. Is the best way to fix this to delete the images from Aperture, find some tool that will adjust to the approximate real date, then reimport. If so, can someone recommend a utility that does this? If I can fix this inside of Aperture, even better. I saw on one of the discussions: "it's all about the Exif and IPTC and not about the file metatata." Please feel free to learn me on that. Cheers.

That answers some of it - the relocate files. That will allow me to put the files in the right year/month folder. I imported full folders into Aperture so need to edit the metadata date for multiple pictures at the same time. I understand when you select multiple pictures and then ajust time, it adjusts in relation to the first picture. In my case these things were taken by all sorts of crappy cameras & re-edited years later (2003 data). So pictures taken on the same day have 2001, 2003 & 2007 dates. I really do just wnt to set all of them to the same (ballpark) date.
So my goals are:
1) have the pictures land in the right referenced folder - answered
2) do a mass adjust time to the same date for a folder of images
3) have the projects then land chronologically inside Aperture - not sure about this one yet

Printing starts too far down the page - officejet pro 8600

Have an officejet pro 8600.
Recently, when printing, two probelms occur...
(1) the document being printed starts printing approx 1.5" to 2" futher down the page then it should. This results in the bottom portion of the document Not being printed.
(2) there is a crease/fold approx 3" from the top of the paper.
It appears that either the paper is being fed too soon or the actual printing is being delayed.
We have cleaned all the rollers and check the star wheel - no damages

Columns of info inside folders display too far to the right?

When I open a folder the columns of info, such as Date Modified, Size, Kind, etc. are always waaaaay off to the right and I have to scroll to the right to see this info. How can I set it so that all of this info displays closer to the file name by default? What I'm wondering is if there is a way to set it up so I do not have to drag the columns closer each and every time I need to see the other columns of info in my folders.

Of course it is independent, but it doesn't change the fact that it isn't there anymore and I couldn't find the xfce package (which probably isn't installed yet) responsible for it.
Ok, found it -_-. In previous versions this was more intuitive, and why the hell did they change the plugin behaviour? I liked the volume control popup more than opening the whole mixer tool.
