Error: Assignment of Context Object is Incomplete

I am experiencing a rather odd problem in PI 7.1 SPS 7 - I am unable to add a context object to my Service Interface.
First I create an xsd:string context object called "JobNumber".
In the same SWCV, I open my service interface. (abstract, stateless XI 3.0 Compat, asynch) and click the "Context Object" button. In the Context Object Assignment screen, I navigate to the appropriate node in my schema and assign the context object. When I save & activate the changes to my service interface I get this error:
Check Result for Object SynchIncident
Check of operations for service interface
Check of operation SynchIncident
Assignment of Context Object OMS_JobNumber | http://oge.com/ccs/order is incomplete
Furthermore, if I click the button "Check and Correct Assignments for Context Objects" PI removes the context object altogether.

Assignment of Context Object OMS_JobNumber |
http://oge.com/ccs/order is redundant and will be removed
Any suggestions for resolving this issue?

Most likely, applying the latest XI patches for your current SP release will resolve this issue. The components that you need to apply the patches are:
SAP-XIAFC
SAP_XIAF
SAP_XIESR
SAP_XITOOL

Hi Rao,
the default value for the maximum context size is 5242880 so if you increased a value from 1677216 I assume you picked the wrong value, the right one is programs/agate/MaxCtxtSize (make sure you change the right instance).
If this still not helps may be your response container is to small or the 10MB are still too small.
Please keep in mind that when you increase containers you take a lot of address space from the process since this container is created for each workthread and you may end up with a full address space (on 32 bit platforms). So when increasing the container sizes you may have to reduce the number of workthreads (and increase the number of processes to handle the same load as before).

Assign Context Object "ProcessStep" to BPE variable?

Hi all!
What exact information does the <b>standard Context Object "ProcessStep"</b> (which should be available in BPM as stated in help.sap.com) include? Is it the ID of the current Workflow-Item / the instance ID of the parent BP process ...?
I can not test it - since assigning this context object to a simple container variable (string) in my BPM results in the error: <b>The Value of Expression '&<MessageVarName>.PROCESSSTEP&' Cannot Serve As the Source of an Assignment</b>
during Runtime Activation in "SXI_CACHE" !!????
Any idea how this "ProcessStep" Context object is correctly used?

Assigning context object to field

Hello All,
I have created the context object in IR. Now want to assign this to one field. Where should i assign this.
I have gone through sap.help, but i am not able to get the exact place,
"To assign the context object to a request message field, enter it in the Context Object column by using the input help. For message interfaces, the structure of the request message is displayed on the Context Object tab page."
Where is the Context object Column exactly? Please help me.

Edit the message interface, Go to CONTEXT tab , go to 4th comun( context Object )
and double click the field where u want to assign the context object u have already created.
While doing conditional rcvr determination u will find this context object...

FPN - error trying to lookup object - remote role assignment not working

Hello everyone,
We have implemented a Federated Portal Network connection in our landscape between our portals.
We use only remote role assignment functionality.
Everything was working fine, but since 2 days we encounter the following error in the Default trace.
Error trying to lookup object: alias: <role name>
It is possible to open the producer portal in the Portal Content Administration and also searching for the Producer portal roles is possible in User administration. But when we assign the remote role the tab is not displayed in the portal only the above mentioned error is shown in the default trace. Our portals run SP 12 and BI Java SP14.
Is there a solution or workaround for this issue ?

I have the same issue as you, I cannot see role tabs in Consumer portal and I get the same error in the defaulttrace as you.

Error Workflow not assigned to business object

Hi Team,
    I am working on CRM 7.0 system
     I have a Z business object ,and I have created a new workflow and called one of the method of the z business object.
And I am trying to trigger this workflow through a action definition based on status.while creating the action definition with respect to workflow I am getting the error "assigned BOR object type is not used in any workflows" no F4 values
      I have debugged and found that the entry in the table SWDSCNTIDX is not correct.
Kindly request you to guide me how to assign workflow to business object or how can I refer the workflow what I have created in action definition.

Hi,
You have to go the workflow change container element of that BOR e.g. "BUS2010030" and on tab "properties" check the checkbox "IMPORT" and "MANDATORY".
Doing the above BOR will be available in the F4 help of actions profile wizard or conditions.

Error in VF44 require assignment of CO object

Hello SAP Gurus,
We are executing VF44 for Sales order (sales order line has account assigment as WBS element) an error messsage - Ledger Account require assignment of CO object.
What to do in this case to resolve this.

You use a income account and it is cost element also and you have to assign a co object but cost centers are statistical posting object for income cost elements so you have to use a PA object. If PA is not active do not create cost element for that income account. Delete cost elemenent. If you can not delete or if you want it to be a cost element then create a dummy internal order for revenue carrying account assignement object...

MIGO Error - Account 6500029 requires assignment with CO object

Hi Experts,
I am facing problem with new material code opened recently. Valuation class assigned is ZSTD.
At the time of GRN, It is giving an error msg :
Message no. KI235. Account 6500029 requires assignment with CO object.
Kindly note I am not making an account assignment P.O. It is a normal P.O.
Previously also with same valuation class, we have received no. of materials with out any error.
It should post the material to my inventory account 1220000 as it did with materials of the same valuation class earlier. I don't know from where it is picking GL 6500029.

Hi ,
In OBYC kindly check the Key BSX for the GL account assingment to the valuation class .
As inventory accounts are Balance sheet accounts and do no require an assingnment to a cost element .
If your account is getting changed then check the same in OBYC - BRX .

Hi,
The maximum length supported by one CHAR type infoobject is 60. Check whether you have assigned more.
If you have to load more length ( more than 60) split the total thing into different infoobjects. Create different infoobjects and split the total thing into them - like 1st 60 char in 1st infoobject, char 61-120 in 2nd infoobject and so on. Then you can again concatenate them.

Error in Creation of Object ID 00000000 is not allowed

When I am Hiring an employee using PA40, I am getting an error as "Creation of Object ID 00000000 is not allowed", when I save it.
In the NUMKR Feature, the return value has been assigned to the Personnel Sub Area.
Pls. can anybody explain, how can I solve this problem.

Now listen carefully.
1. If you have defined your feature NUMKR according to PSA then while running hiring action does PSA comes or it just gives you the Position, PA, EG and ESG fileds only.
2. If the first condition is true then you will get the error, now the question is why
Answer, you have defined the feature through PSA and once you try to save the IT0000 there is no PSA mentioned there thats why the system gives you the error.
If this explnanation is understood by you than reply , i will tell you how you can bring the PSA field also in hiring action at IT0000.

Hi saran,
Check the source system connectivity of the Quality system. Also check whether you have transported the datasources related to those objects that you transported from DEV to QAS.
First you need to transport the Datasources created in R/3 and then replicate them in QAS/Prod and then transport the objects in BW from DEV to QAS/Prod.
Check all these things and if still the problem persists... Refer to the below threads which may help u...

These are the following points could be the reasons for the Error;
1. While cration of the Purchase Requisition u entered the Account Assignment Category, then only it will ask Cost Object while in GRN.
2. In OKB9 my be automic assignment assiment must be there.
In the previous mail as per as Mr. Prawan kumar, i hope in grn both accounts should be the Balance Sheet G/L account, then there is no chance, it would become as a Cost element. Pawan kumar plese check once.

Container operation step in BPM using context object

Hi all,
in my BPM I have a send step using the file adapter. The file adapter builds a dynamic filename.
Now I want to have the filename back into an acknowledgement. First, I need it in the container, right?
So after the send step, I have a container operation step as follows:
target: simple string
mode: assign or append, doesn't matter
expression: In expression editor, I select Interface variable 'message', then context object 'FileName' from namespace http://sap.com/xi/XISystem/File
This should be the filename from the fileadapter, right?
In SXI_Cache, I get return code 99:
The Value of Expression '&MESSAGE.FILENAME&' Cannot Serve As the Source of an Assignment
Why is there a context object, if you can' t use it??

As far as I know, the filename in the Dynamic Header will be lost in when the message enters the BPM.
As a work around, make a mapping at the Interface Determination level that reads the filename from the SOAP header and sets it into the payload which can be accessed inside the BPM.
Reason the way I see this that the BPM does not store the filename is ,
1. What if you have multiple receive steps in the BPM with a fork.
2. How would the context object know which filename you want to read?
The reason you see this in the context object is because all Context Objects are the info you get from the Adapter metadata.

Version 4 Error: Expected Container, found Object Reference

We're in the process of upgrading our sequences from 3.5 to
4.0 and for the most part, everything is seamless. However, there is one situation I’ve found
that throws a RTE in 4.0 but works fine in 3.5.
When calling SetPropertyObject on an object reference, the following
error is thrown:
Parameter 'newValue': Expected Container, found Object Reference.
-17308; Specified value does not have the expected type.
Attached is a sequence snippet illustrating this
behavior. The last step should assign
the variable in Parameters with the name in TempStr (“Fred” in this example) to
the first element in the TraceObjRefs array (an array of object references).
What is really confounding is that this works as expected in
3.5. Any insight as to what changed or
what’s the best way to work around this?

We are seeing something similar in TS 4.1.
We have a container with subproperties which are also containers (of the same type actually). Technically, this is an array, we are using the container to be able to address by name. When I extract one of the sub-properties either by GetPropertyObject or by GetNthSubproperty and then try to assign it to a container of the same type, I get the error "Expected container, found object reference".
I attached a sequence with some experiments, using the NI_Limits type and found a solution: the Evaluate method seems to actually copy the values from the source container to the target; but only when it is not called as "PropertyObject.Evaluate()" but stand alone.
But I did not quite understand the mechanics of the aliases. In the sequence, I create an alias, as indicated in the previous posts. Then I can apparently not change that alias again. I used the "Data" member in the NI_Limits container to differentiate between the individual containers.
After the second SetPropertyObject, the value stays the same as before. But when I then change the value in one of the source objects, the other changes with it.
So I am not quite clear what an alias actually is and what its effects are.

Context objects assigned to a service interface can't be retrieved via dynamic configuration hint: I tried it the hard way ;-). Not sure about ABAP, but the same could also be true. I think only the COs that came in with adapter metadata can be accessed(conf.get) and overwritten (conf.put).
Corrections are welcome.
