What on earth is a girl to do ? Activation date thurs 21st phone line yay , broadband yay vision NAY !!! I have rang and spoken and rang and ranted but dear me this is beyond a joke now every day a very polite it has to be said , great script reading for surely that is all it is voice on the end says midnight madame . Well too many midnights have gone by and alas still no joy . I am then told the engineers need to switch it off manually and start again wtf ???
Me thinks its time to get back in contact with sky something tells me they will sort my viewing out asap , I work in a school my patience usually knows no limits but have to admit Bt has tested them grrrr grrr.
I will wait untill mid day you never know ( man they have me believing now ........)

Well maybe not quite, but this program is getting to be pretty irritating!
I have made a discovery for all those suffering the "42% encoded" bar sitting for 24hours or more: watch the Activity Monitor and if it drops off precipitously from 90%+ to under 10% CPU activity for DVDSP then you ain't going nowhere. Cancel and start over. The problem for me is that using this technique I thought that I had isolated a rogue element or two (I went through a copy of my project deleting everything but one track, running a build on it, and so on until I found a track with this minimal CPU use thing). I then tried to build the whole project minus that rogue track, and then..... woke up to an internal muxing error! Now the DVDSP_Encoder is hanging as well.
This is a huge project with many tracks that combine video (encoded with compressor) and slides. A lot of button over video menus, and several interlinked stories- in other words I do not take kindly to the idea of starting over in FCP. Any suggestions are gratefully received however.OK yes you are right Perry: it is having to encode the slide transitions, and deal with subtitles and the 'buttons over video' menus. The most recent shot at it did fine for a large portion of the project, then ran into an "Internal Muxing Error" which appears to have occurred when it started 'preparing subtitles'. I am double checking the subtitles and have found that one of them (which yes I should have fixed before I started the encode) has a sort of "phantom" subtitle which I hope that someone can explain:
I try to enter a subtitle and a yellow block appears that is not formattable. You can erase it by dragging over it, but I can't install a usable subtitle, nor really get rid of the phantom one.
My static menus were all done in Photoshop, I have no motion menus, but I do have a lot of button over video menus, as well as a lot of slideshows with dissolve transitions.
The 42% encode thing seems to be a more common problem for people, so I want people to know that you can anticipate this hang up by watching the activity montor rather than wasting 24hours while your computer does nothing. -
After downloading the new update for my iphone 4 the screen only show an itune logo, as
well as a plug in picture, thats it. No icons are visible, phone does not come on except to show
the two icons. When I power up it does nothing except shows those 2. When power off I dont even

I have tried installing from the App sotre updates and also the softwarre updates - I receive the same message.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Sql query is hung, doesn't comes back
Hello Every one,
Two node Rac on Linux 5 64-bit, 11.2.0.1.0
In our data ware housing environment, i have a sql query which doesn't comes back at all, when i run, it is just hung for a long time with no output. I did following basic testing
1. All the indexes are valid and stats are up to date(count(*) matches num rows)
2. There is a union clause in the query, i divided the query in two parts - the first part prior to union and second part after union, then i ran those two parts separately - the first part comes back quickly with no rows selected but the second part has a main problem(its just hung).
Please note that one table in the query has a partitioned table. following is the query and the tables involved in it.
Please let me know if you need any further information, it will be of great help if i get through this. Thanks in advance.

Does the sms cache come back after a restore and back up from icloud
My phone is running sluggish and I want to do a restore. In addition to this I would like to get rid of my old deleted messages that still appear in spotlight search. I'm
Not country in the same country as my mac so I can't back up via iTunes. I was going to back up with icloud and imatch. I have two concerns though before I do this.
1. Will all my old sms caches just come back with all those deleted messages I had. Are they saved in my last back up or will they disappear as there saved to the phone itself (which will be wiped via the restore0)?
2. Secondly I want to get my old music back and as I'm away from home for over a year I need to do this via imatch. Will my imatch subscription still work and will it bring in all my music I had previously.

I just performed the rebuild. It put a bunch of empty folders into my library that I had deleted in the past. But no where is the one folder that I had made yesterday with my 25 photos. I checked the orginial folder that I took them from and not there. It's odd that it's like they never exisited. So broken hearted. The last photo I had with my husband and I in it with his grandpa before he died is gone. Unless there is a way to get it off a back up on my phone somewhere. All of my photos' are backed up from my PC but nothing since owning this computer. cause this itunes icloud time machine stuff has me confused but will have to get the pictures printed and burned that I do have. That's what I was working on yesterday when this happened. Chose my first 25 I wanted to print and lost them and I"m afraid to touch the others now.

My problem - when syncing and error messages comes up: iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone because an error occurred while margin data." I've tried turning the phone off and back on, & tried both USB ports but get the same thing. What can I do next since it doesn't give me even one clue as to what the error would be?
Before I started to resync calendars one by one as suggested in the troubleshooting article, I remembered something that came up in a sync when I first attempted : a 'which one do you want to keep' message about a repeating calendar event, which came up with three options, one from Calendar, and two from iCal on the phone. I deleted that event, then went through the calendar resync one by one, and all seems OK now.
In Music there is a way to find 'ghost' items that show up as grayed-out on the menus, so that you can try to reassociate or delete them. It would be nice to have a similar way to work with Calendar!

I have a iPhone 4S and when watching videos on the internet sound cuts out as the video is playing. The rest of the video plays with no sound. Sometimes when I pause It and play again sound comes back but not all the time. can anyone help?

So, my original issue was that my "JOB_STATE" was coming back "Stopped" instead of "Completed." I did a "GET_STATUS" of a "Stopped" (but successful) job, and, as I expected, I got error_count 0, and the error table is null. Fine, so I will check the "GET_STATUS" if I get a "Stopped..."
So I tried the complementary case, where I have a job that will fail. In this case, it's expected to get a "Stopped" status back (even though it's 'faulty' in the sense that it's ALWAYS "Stopped"). Checking the error_count, I get 0 back. WHAT!? AND the error table is STILL null! What the heck is going on?

END;The error I get back in both cases reads "SYS_TEXPORT_TABLE_04 0 COMPLETED" (which is in the format JOB_NAME ERROR_COUNT STATE, as you can see above), but in the latter case (a FAILED job... as you can see above, I have "MYTESTTABLE_FAKEEEE" as my table, which doesn't exist, and a consequence, the .log properly logs a failure.) I SHOULD be getting back something in output.ERROR or AT LEAST output.JOB_STATUS.ERROR_COUNT..... BUT output.ERROR is NULL and ERROR_COUNT is 0! What gives?
P.S.> I logged an SR about this, since it looks like a pretty big issue, but maybe you guys can see something that I'm not seeing faster than the support rep.

Just upgraded to OSX 10.9 mavericks on macbook pro mid 2011 version. Having a big issue here that whenever my mac comes back from sleep, i.e after I open the lid, the screen flickers and there is an error of Finder not opening properly. Any fix to this?
My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!
