Error during approval of customized Work Schedule Substitution Request

Hi Gurus,
Good day!
Just wanted to check your inputs on an error encountered during execution of a customized application done for the MSS approval of a work schedule substitution request
Application error occurred during request processing.
Details: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.core.DispatcherException: Wrong WebDynpro-URL: no application name specified
Exception id: [E41F13C50EFA007600000227000011180004AAD57AFD5474]
In simple terms, what does this error mean and what are the items that we need to check?

The error means the dispatcher can't find the WebDynpro application.
1. Make sure the Business package which contains the application is installed properly (most likely not).
2. Make sure the PCD-Path / Folder which contains the iView has end user permissions.
3. Also check whether the System ID the iView corresponds with has end user permissions.
Also, please always post the entire error log, most of the time the errors are nested and analyzing an error with only the thrown error (which isn't the root cause) is like pulling teeth :-S

Work Schedule Substitution for Mass employees

Hi,
We have the following scenario in our HR Time Management
Monday to Friday is flexi (8 hours)
Saturday to Sunday is Off (0 hours)
Work Schedule has been generated and has been assigned to all the employees
Through substitution, we are making,
Saturday as a working day (convering Off to Flexi)
This is happening through PA30 for individual employees.
(Accordingly the leave applied is getting updated in IT 2001)
We wanted to do the same for a group of employees.
Let me know your the way to do.

May be I missed to high-light the complications of our scenario.
Consider, we are changing the work schedule, from "off" to "flexi" during a period.
The employees who have already applied leave during that period, should be deducted the newly introduced "flexi" day from their leave quota.
The same is happening when we do the change in PA30 individually.
We wanted to do the automatic quato adjustments for a group of employees, upon changing the future work-schedule.
Example:
An employee had already applied leave for the future period , in which we are changing the 'off' as 'working day'.The counting in the absence days should change automatically. This happing when we do it for one employee, but not for a group of employees.

Duet has encountered an error during Approve , Reject Reassign the workflow

Error during approval Process flow in Process controlled workflow

Hello Experts,
We are in SRM 7.0 classic scenario using Process controlled workflow.WE recently connected a new backend R/3 system to our SRM system i.e we now have 2 R/3 backend system connected to SRM system
It is regarding the two new additional account assignment categories that came into picture when we connected the new R/3 backend system to our SRM system, i.e. Asset and Network.
There seems to be some problem with the approval workflow for those SHC, that have such Acc *** Cats.
Please find below my obeservations:
- if you have just one line item in the SHC, and this item is either booked on Asset or on Network, than everything goes fine. After the Acc *** approval, the PR is created in R/3
- if you have SC with a mix between an "old" Acc *** Cat (Cost Centre, WBS and Order) and one of the "new" Acc *** Cats, than the workflow is not working as required --- the manager, that is responsible for the accounting approval of the two positions (e.g Cost Centre and Asset) gets only one work item in his approval overview --- in that work item, the two positions are there, but the Asset one is grayed out --- so, the Manager approves only the Cost Centre positions and than the SC is no longer with the approver --- if you observe the SC now from the requisitioner point of view, the status of the line items in the approval process overview of both(!) lines is "approved", but the overall status of the SC is still "in approval"
Can you all experts plz let us know why this is happening and how this can be resolved?
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Environment: OSR 11.1.1.2 ; Database : 11g Database ; Embedded HTTP Server; Windows 7 (1 Discover Node and 1 Publisher node).
I have done the installation of Discovery node and Publishing node . I could access BSC and registry control and could login with admin user and demo users. However, in publishing node, when I try to create account or promote a published provider/service, I am getting a fatal error displayed in the web page.
Error while creating account in Publish node:

MDM 5.5 SP02 Error during import of Customer Data

Hello,
I am a beginner in MDM 5.5.
I tried to import the customer data via the import manager. I got the error message:

What's wrong with this repository ? I used the DEBMDM06 for extraction out of an R/3 4.7. The XML-file includes this segment !

Let me fill you in with the my environment info. I am using MDM SP 02 with SQL Server on Windows XP.
I am following the SAP NetWeaver MDM 5.5 SP02
Scenario Configuration Guide to import customer Data from R/3 to MDM repository via XI, idoc.
According to guide I was able to extract the Customer data from R/3, and using XI (and FTP) I was able to get the data file customer.dat (which is in XML format).
In console I tried to setup the client system as a you specified, but here is what I see in my MDM console
Name: MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
Code: MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
Client System: Import [ for this field it shows me Import, Export, Import/Export options only and not the inbound/outbound as you specified]. If I select option Import then only it will show this Client System while defining the Port.
For port definition it shows following fields

Code : R3Import
Type : Inbound
Data Definition: [ dropdown options are Access, Excel, XML, Flat Text, XML Schema. Were you referring this field as the 'Format' field.]
XML Schema: I selected DEBMDM05 from dropdown.
Client System : MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
Map: [ dropdown does not have any values to select and I can not type in that field]
If you are still with me, what are the correct settings for Client system and port?
How those settings are being used in Import Manager?
On Connect to Source dialogue screen what should I select/enter for following fields?
Type : [options are Access, Excel, ODBC, Oracle, Port, SQL Server, XML, XML Schema]
Should I be using Client System and Port or XML/XML Schema????

Cannot Create ramdisk error during Upgrade (Scratchconfig isnt working?)

I am trying to use Update Manager to upgrade ESXi 5.1 to ESXi5.5. I am getting the error "Cannot create a ramdisk of the size 333mb to store the upgrade image."
The ESXi has plenty of disk/ram left.
I have researched and found an issue where the scratchconfig was pointing at a non-existent device. I set the scratchconfig and rebooted.
After the reboot in the new folder I did see the various var,core,logs etc folders, however I still get this Cannot create ramdisk error when trying to upgrade.
I tried from various articles /vmfs/volumes/datastore uuid/.locker-host and /vmfs/volumes/datastore uuid/scratch, both with the same result.
I confirmed I can write in these new folders.
Everytime the log still says ERROR', test 'SPACE_AVAIL_ISO', expected '349773754', found '0' despite the scracthconfig.
What I am doing wrong?

It turns out another group had created another administrator account and removed administrator access from the root account.
/etc/vmware/hostd/authorization.xml shows that the root user has lost the 'Administrator' role:

Customizing Error in Work Schedule

Hello Experts,
I am getting the following error when running time evaluation, "Customizing error in work schedule rule 4 w1 52 REG1/2UP", 2 personnel numbers are being rejected. These two employees work during the summer. We reorg them to put them on leave, Inactive, so no acurals occur during the time they are not on the payroll. When these employees return, we reorg them back to Active. This time when we brought them back to active, we get the above error during time eval. I do not have a work schedule rule 4 w1 52 REG 1/2UP in table T508a. I do have work schedule rules 1 and 2 with w1 52 REG 1/2UP. These two emmployees have work schedule rule 1 w1 52 REG 1/2UP. I have changed the payroll status for retro calculation and I've checked that the employees do have IT0007. Does anyone know where to look to see how the system is coming up with work scheudule rule 4 and how to resolve this issue? Any suggestions are appreciated and points will be awarded to a solution provider. Thanks.

I have ran into this many times at work. Generally for us, this happens when an employee is moved into a new personnel area on infotype 1, where they require a different work schedule rule. However, infotype 7 was not updated for that same validity period and they have the incorrect work schedule.
Example:
Pers Area HYDZ
requires work schedule ZIND
Pers Area PSCC
requires work schedule ZDTA
The employee is in pers area PSCC until 12/31/9999 (with ZDTA on infotype 7). They transfer the employee into HYDZ effective 6/1/2008. However, infotype 7 was not updated and still has ZDTA. As a result, the customizing work schedule error appears during time evaluation. We have to create the infotype 7 record effective 6/1/2008 with the ZIND work schedule rule.

Error during Parforeach dynamic processing!

Hello All:
Hope to have some input to an unsolvable error in the workflow template that I have developed.
I have developed a workflow in which I am using a block with parforeach dynamic parallel processing and in that block I am displaying notification of absence. IN the block I have created a task which displays notification of absence.
I have maintained User_ID(this is a multiline container element which has multiple user ids) as my parallel processing multi-line element so that all the users entered in the User_ID element can access the workitem. Now I was able to create different work items for all the users entered , but when any one of the user is accessing the work-item, the work flow is getting in the error status with the following error log messages.

User_ID is entered as Multiline element.
In the control tab of block, (Note: USER_ID is the multielement)
&USER_ID[&_WF_PARFOREACH_INDEX&]&    ->    &_USER_ID_LINE&
In the display absence step of block, I am assigning in the Agents area of the control tab as: &_USER_ID_LINE&
Now, when I execute the workflow, I am able to see that the work-items are sent to the respective agent inboxes given in the USER_ID element and when I execute(display absence form) any one of it , the workflow is set to error status giving the above mentioned errors.
Please help me. I am missing any binding elements??
Do I need to add any JOIN in my dynamic step??

Hmmmm.... well you've correctly assigned the multiline container element and the binding between workflow and container. However the way you have assigned the agents is a little suspicious - as it relies on a guaranteed order of processing. That might be what is confusing the workflow.
Try the following instead.
a) Put your task into a subflow.
b) Call the subflow using the parforeach processing
I think you'll find this less problematic.
Also be careful to watch what you are passing back from the task to the workflow - you don't want any deadlocks here. Either don't pass anything back, or pass back the values into a table using the APPEND binding option rather than the usual assign (just select the arrow button in the binding).

HR and Personal Work Schedules

Hi Gurus
I am new to BW and I am supporting a new BW installation. I have been on the course BW310 and so understand basic concepts.
The problem is that the BW process chain hangs each day because one of the processes doesnt finish. The error is that a 'Personal Work Schedule for personnel xxxx was not found'. It started with one person but has risen to 3 people. I have been shown the work schedules in R/3 and they are setup correctly (allegedly).
I want to trace the path the data takes from R/3 to BW and the place where it errors. I would like to run the packages/DTPs by hand (not thru process chain) to recreate the error. Can someone tell what to look for in SBIW and the corresponding datasource in BW please.

I configuration all of Time Management with start date is 01.01.2000 and when I run Payroll on Payroll period is 01/2000 with start date is 01.01.2000 to 31.01.2000 for Employees hiring on 01.01.2000 then I have an error " Customizing error in work schedule rule .. .. ... ..".
But I can run the payroll period on 02/2000 with start date is 01.02.2000 to 29.02.2000 for Employees hiring on 01.02.2000. form 02/2000 it is okies.
Please help me solve about my problem

Dear Consultant,
One of the employee left on 25th of a month. His termination process was run from 26th. Thereafter his Time sheet was uploaded upto 25th. The system accepts his attendance upto 24th but for 25th it gives error as "Customizing Error in Work Schedule Rule XXXXX". When his Personal work schedule was checked it shows expected working hours as 8. Then why it does not accept the attendance through time sheet?
Nothing can be wrong with WS Rule as it is still working fine for all others. Also when the time sheet is uploaded first & then the employee is terminated, it works fine. then why time sheet gives error only for the last day?

normally the if person is going to releive on say 25th ,then we have to give the leaving action date as 26 th as per SAP
Scenario.
consider his doj is 01.05.2006
if u done the leaving action on 26th by mentioning the date 25.09.2009
sap close him by 24th
and the record stored as below
01.05.2006 to 24.09.2009
delete the action and perform w.e.f 26 th then it will take as below
01.05.2006 to 25.09.2009
then u can upload time events

Hi All,
I too faced the same type of error. Below are the steps for the solution.
1. The error comes due to retro run with incorrect workschedule rule in IT0007.
2. You can check table V_T508A or V_001P_ALL to view the complete groupings of your personnel area/subarea,workschedule rule, Holiday cal,
3. Copy the existing record of IT0007>give the retro effective period as start date and enter the end date>select the populated workschedule rule from the drop down option-->save the record.
4. Run the psyroll in simulation mode and check the status.
