Job finishedHi,
not sure if the recommendations given will address this issue.
You are getting this error:
BR0301E SQL error -1017 at location BrDbConnect-2, SQL statement:
'CONNECT /'
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
the log file indicates:
> No application server found on database host - rsh/gateway will be used
This indicated that the user that is connecting from the AS to the DB server is not properly configured to perform the DB tasks on it.
So, first question would be to know if you have configured a gateway on the DB server and how, or if you are using remote shell.
Second question, you can do backups on the DB server.
> I can run backupjob sucessfully directly from BRtools on database server
How did you run exactly the backup job (what is the exact command line, what is the exact OS user that executed it)?
What is the OS of the DB server?
I have reread your post, your OS is windows therefore you fall in the "typical" error in Windows.
You have executed your backup as <sid>ADM and it works. Unfortunatelly, in windows, SAP is exectuted by SAPSERVICE<sid>, and this is the user who should be connecting to your DB server, and this is the user who cannot execute the backup.
The fact that you can run the backup with <sid>ADM in Windows does not means that you have SAPService<sid> properly configured.
For the error (see before) I think your ops$ user for this user is not properly configured in the DB server. take a look at the note mentioned by KT and pay attention to the SAPSERVICE<sid> configuration

We have 3 servers, X(Database + CI),Y(Dialog instance),Z(Dialog Instance).
Server X is the primary node and Y is the failover node.

Error while scheduling through web service
We have created Web service through WSDL of OBI Publisher. Also we created a web service proxy client to call the services offered by OBI Publisher. We actually want to "Automate the Scheduling of Reports" according to our requirement:
1. We used to schedule the reports manually by giving the parameters(used to populate data in reports) and other fields like select report name, report destination, format of reports ( .pdf, .docx,etc) through Oracle BI Publisher.
2. As there are thousands of permutations of report input parameters possible, so it is difficult to schedule them manually.
3.We also want to schedule report to a particular folder according to some parameter, for the ease of the user visibility.
Above requirements are not currently available with Oracle BI Publisher.
We are getting error while scheduling through ScheduleRequest class.
The client.java is as follows:
public class ScheduleServiceClient
@WebServiceRef
private static ScheduleService_Service scheduleService_Service;
public static void main(String [] args)
scheduleService_Service = new ScheduleService_Service();
ScheduleService scheduleService = scheduleService_Service.getScheduleService();
// Add your code to call the desired methods.
try {
FTPDeliveryOption ftpdo =new FTPDeliveryOption();
ftpdo.setFtpServerName("ServerName");
ftpdo.setFtpUserName("Username");
ftpdo.setFtpUserPassword("Password");
ftpdo.setRemoteFile("/path/TestFile");
ftpdo.setSftpOption(true);
List<FTPDeliveryOption> listobj=new ArrayList<FTPDeliveryOption>();
listobj.add(ftpdo);
ArrayOfFTPDeliveryOption ar =new ArrayOfFTPDeliveryOption();
ar.setItem(listobj);
DeliveryChannels dc = new DeliveryChannels();
FtpOptions(ar);
ScheduleRequest scheduleRequest = new ScheduleRequest();
scheduleRequest.setDeliveryChannels(dc);
scheduleRequest.setJobLocale("en-US");
scheduleRequest.setUserJobName("Job_1_WebService");
scheduleRequest.setDataModelUrl("Url");
scheduleRequest.setStartDate("Mar 27, 2015 12:40:00 PM");
scheduleRequest.setJobTZ("[GMT+05:30] Calcutta, Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi");
String userID = "BI_Publisher_Username";
String password = "BI_Publisher_Password";
scheduleService.scheduleReport(scheduleRequest,userID,password);
} catch(Exception exception) {
exception.printStackTrace();
Snapshot of error is attached.
Kindly suggest the way of getting out of this error.Hi

Error in backup with verification in DB13
Dear all,
I am taking backup through DB13. There is two options in that with verification & without verification. when i am taking backup without verification , it is completed succesfuly, but when i am taking backup with verification, there is some error.

Plz help me to solve this error.
Thanks & Regards,
Ankit GuptaThere is no problem if you delete oracle/BWD/sapreorg/bwd.data1 prior to backup. It will come again since you are using Verify option with BRBACKUP.
What happens when you use verify option is Once the backup phase is complete, all the saved files are restored from the volume (for example, tape) in sequence to the temperory directory (in this case /oracle/BWD/sapreorg), decompressed (when compress = yes was used), read by the check program, and compared with the originals. And the check program being used is dbverify (command dbv).
The problem may not be with oracle/BWD/sapreorg/bwd.data1, it may be with the original datafile bwd.data1. What you can do is,
Run dbv on all your datafiles and check for errors. (recommend to run dbv when database is offline)
If dbv returns an error, then fix that.
If there are no errors reported by dbv, then your database is perfect.
The reason why BRBACKUP gave the error in such a case, as i see it is, since you are doing an online backup, the datafile is first backed up to a backup media. Since verify is ON, the file is restored to the temperory folder. Some changes (even if minor) may occur in the datafile within this time frame and the comparison fails.
Another chance is if there is no enough space in sapreorg and the restored datafile is not complete.
If you get an error like "DBV-00102: File I/O error on FILE (/oracle/BWD/sapdata1/bwd.data1) during end read operation (-1)" on the original datafile, then, resizing of the datafile may help.Not sure though.

Error Code:942 While Scheduling a report in BI Publisher
Hi All,
I am trying to schedule one report in BI Publisher.
After Clicking Submit Button while scheduling report,i get following error:
Exception [TOPLINK-4002] (Oracle TopLink - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.0.0) (Build 080319)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.DatabaseException Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist Error Code: 942 Call: UPDATE SEQUENCE SET SEQ_COUNT = SEQ_COUNT + 50 WHERE SEQ_NAME = 'JOB_ID_SEQ' Query: DataModifyQuery()
Kindly Help me in resolving this issue
Regards
Amrita Singhi know the issue,i can give quick fix, but in-order to make sure you don't get another glitch like this.
I would recommend, you to install the scheduler in another schema or another db.
Re-installing the scheduler schema tables will fix this. -
Datapump backup when scheduled through crontab doesnt work!
Hi Masters,
I had a script for taking export backup. I modified to take datapump backup instead of the conventinal export. And since then the cron job has stopped running.
The oriiginal script was:
#!/bin/bash
cd /opt/ora10gr2
. .profile
cd /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/scripts/daily_run/
kdat=`date +%d`
kmon=`date +%b`
while read i
do
touch /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log
echo 'start time ' $i >> /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log
date >> /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log

echo 'backup successfully done for ' $i >> /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log

date >> /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log
done < /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/scripts/daily_run/list_DB
The names of the databases were kept in a file list_DB.
After modification, the script looked like:
#!/bin/ksh
cd /opt/ora10gr2
. .profile
cd /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/scripts/daily_run/
kdat=`date +%d`
kmon=`date +%b`
while read i
do
touch /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log
echo 'start time ' $i >> /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log
date >> /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log
expdp system/manager@$i DUMPFILE=$i\_$kdat\_$kmon'.dmp' LOGFILE=$i\_$kdat\_$kmon'.log' SCHEMAS=sysadm DIRECTORY=dumps JOB_NAME=daily_backup PARALLEL=4
echo 'backup successfully done for ' $i >> /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log
echo 'end time ' $i >> /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log
gzip '/backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/'$i\_$kdat\_$kmon'.dmp'
date >> /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/db/daily_backup/logs/exp_log\_$kdat\_$kmon.log
done < /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/scripts/daily_run/list_DB
This modified scripts run when executed stand alone from command line. But doesnt run when executed through crontab.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
AnoopHi,
Two things I want to tell U.
1. Re-direct the CRON output to log file & check the logfile for ERRORS.
example :-
43 17 * * 1-4 /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/scripts/daily_run/exp_bkpdb_temp1.sh > /backup/oracle10g/EBACKUP/scripts/daily_run/cron_expdb.log
2. In command-line U have all the necessary PATH's set, hence it got executed. But when u execute the same script through CRON u have to manually set the PATH's in ur script.
Do the below in command line:-
echo $PATH
add the output of above command in ur script as below & try.
#!/bin/ksh
export PATH=<output here....>

Error code 300 while installing through Ovi suite
Trying to update Opera on a C3-01 with Ovi Suite 3.1.1.90: "Something's gone wrong. There was a problem installing the file. Error code: 300". What does this mean and where does Ovi Suite store its detailed log?
This attachment will cure the 300 error code remember to install it on C DRIVE and in the correct order, I got this from NOKIA and it has just solved the problem on my N8 Good luck Clive.
Install the following QT files on the C: drive of your phone in exactly this sequence
* http://dl.nokia.com/ns/sdo/QtSA4.7.301.sisx
* http://dl.nokia.com/ns/sdo/QtWebkitSA4.8.0.sisx
* http://dl.nokia.com/ns/sdo/QtMobilitySA1.1.301.sis
While you install above QT files you MUST keep the following things in mind:
o Installation must be done to C: drive of the phone. If you by mistake select E: drive, you can cancel the installation and re-install again. If E: drive installation is complete, you can re-install one more time and select C: drive for installation.
o Installation order must be met. First it has to be QT (QtSA4.7.301.sisx).
- Start Ovi Store
Good luck -
Email notification of backup through DB13
Hi,
I am running backup using BR Tools scheduled through DB13. Is there any way out through which I can get email notification weather backup was done successfully or not & error msg if not.
I appreciate all your help in advance.
Thanks,
MurtazaSetting up a monitoring for a system is not a "fast" thing and without understanding what's going on behind the scene I can already read your next post "Mail from RZ20 is not working" in the forum.
I'm NOT blaming you but it's better for you if you read the provided (good) documentation on the given site and understand the concepts and prerequisites (mail setup etc.), otherwise you will be lost if it's not working.
Just my 2 cents.

Error while scheduling VerifyDB in DB13
Hi,
I am facing an error while scheduling VerifyDB through DB13 in my SAP ECC 6.0 system. This problem is occuring in the entire landscape(Dev, Quality & Prod) after i did an oracle upgrade from 10.1.0.4 to 10.2.0.2. The error is as below:
BR1301W Error message from likeywlib:
===...could not load SSF library libsapsecu.so .
BR1301W Error message from likeywlib: likey_init: Couldn't load SAPSECULIB ("libsapsecu.so") using function SsfSupInit (), rc = 10.
BR1302E Initialization of license key library likeywlib failed, return code 1
BR0602E No valid SAP license found - please contact SAP
I also checked the note 912969 which gives the below solution:
The error is corrected in BRSPACE 7.00 patch 10
But the BRSPACE is already on a higher patchset (18). Patch 10 is already applied.
Can somebody please guide me on this.
Thanks & Regards,
SmithaHi Andreas,
the error is exactly the same.
The database is Oracle 10.2.0.2 and the backup is performed with a mix of BRtools and Legato.
Any idea?
Thanks
