Error in BW3.5 query execution

Hi,
I am trying to execute BW3.5 reports and facing below error on them.
*Specify a value for variable 0P_FPER
System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form APPEND_KHANDLE_1-01- *
I executed same in Dev. system and error remains same.
Specify a value for variable 0P_FPER : this is a SAP exit variable maintaining in Fiscal year Object where these properties are Optional and not selected Read for input (Checked in Dev.)
*System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form APPEND_KHANDLE_1-01- * : verified this issue  in SAP market place and we have adequate OSS notes in SAP system.
Let me know any further information required?
It is apreciated any one could help on this and very very urgent for us.
Thanks,
Praveen

Hi,
check following thread
http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=141178
also try looking at following options
1. try to generate query in RSRT and see if it runs
2. Put breakpoint on some exit variable in query and try debugging the query through RSRT again.
see if there is any specific sap note if 1 and 2 doesn't solve your issue.
Thanks and regards

I am new to SSRS and I am trying to migrate reports from 2008 to 2012. As I have so many reports to migrate, I simply got the back up of ReportServer,
ReportServerTempDB, and Encryption Key and restored them to test environment. I made necessary configuration from RS configuration tool. I am able to see the reports now when I browse //hostname/reports. But when I open any particular report I am getting some

Does anyone have insight on this? or any better way that I can migrate the reports to new server with less efforts.
I don’t have the reports solution file to deploy the reports, so I have followed backup and restore process.

    Hi Kishore237,
According to your description, you migrated some reports from Reporting Services (SSRS) 2008 to 2012. Now you get error when accessing the reports on SSRS 2012. Right?
In this scenario, did you modify the report data source in database after migration? You can try to open the report in Report Builder or Report designer and check the report dataset. If you can preview the report in Report builder or Report designer,
please try to redeploy the report to Report Server. If it is still not working, please try to restore the database from backup. And for migrating reports, please follow the "Content-Only Migration" in the link below:

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

Have you executed the Dataset query MDX editor  now?

    Hi shelman,
I'd like to know whether you configured TFS reporting service properly, and if you can get the report normally before. From the error message, you might has wrong data source or the parameters of the dataset 'dsPriority'. You can check whether the data source
for your report is available, try to use windows authentication. Or check the parameters of dataset 'dsPriority' make sure the query works when you execute it manually.
To process the TFS data warehouse and analysis services cube, I'd like to know which operation you selected before clicking Invoke button. Please follow the instructions on this
page to process TFS data warehouse and analysis service cube manually. You can also refer the James's last reply in this
    thread or this
blog to check if the solutions work for you.
Another option is run TFS best practice analyzer to check if there any configure issues on your TFS server machine. And check event logs to see if there any useful information, elaborate more details about your scenario including reproduce steps if the problem
    persists.

  • Data Driven Subscriptions Error - the query processor could not start the necessary thread resources for parallel query execution

    Hi,
We are getting the following error when certain data driven subscriptions are fired off: "the query processor could not start the necessary thread resources for parallel query execution".  I've read other posts that have the same error, and
the solution usually involves adjusting MaxDOP to limit the number of queries that are fired off in parallel.
Unfortunately, we cannot change this setting on our server for performance reasons (outside of data driven subscriptions, it negatively impacts our ETL processing times).  We tried putting query hints like "OPTION (MAXDOP 2);" in the reports
that are causing the error, but it did not resolve the problem.
Are there any settings within Reporting Services that can be adjusted to limit the number of subscriptions that get fired off in parallel?
Any help is appreciated - thanks!

Yes, that is correct.  It's a painful problem, because you don't know which specific subscription failed. For example, we have a data driven subscription that sends out about 800 emails. Lately, we've been having a handful of them fail. You don't know
which ones out of the 800 failed though, even from the RS log files - all it tells you is that "the
query processor could not start the necessary thread resources for parallel query execution".
Thanks, I'll try changing <MaxQueueThreads> and will let you know if it works.
On a side note: I've noticed that it is only reports with cascading parameters (ex. where parameter 2 is dependent on the selection from parameter 1) that get this error message...

  • Error while executing BEx Query on Composite Provider

    Hi,
We have a BW on-HANA system, patch level SAPKW73105.
We have created a Composite provider based on the union of two DSOs, two infoobjects, one SPO, and there are a couple of joins with two other DSOs, on the top of that we built a BEx query.
While executing the BEx query, sometimes (depending on the filter values), We got the following error message
"Attribute engine failed;Error executing physical plan: exception 6900: AttributeEngine/Parallel/DimensionFilter.cpp engine failed; $function$=getValidFemsPA;"
"Error 6,900 has occurred in the BWA/SAP HANA server"
"Error reading the data of InfoProvider @3ZSDRPCP5"
"Error while reading data; navigation is possible"
    "Row: 59 Inc: MAP_TREX_EXCEPTION Prog: CL_RSDRH_TREX_STORAGE"
    (Attached error message)
Ii We browse the composite provider data using the "display data" option in the RSA1, data is displayed without issue, the problem only appears during the BEx query execution and only with some filter vaues.
Any idea on how to fix the issue.
    Thanks,
    Federico

He's on 7.3 EhP1, which is on SPS12 today. It got pretty stable by SP08, SP09. SP05 was pretty early on, and had a lot of bugs in the HANA views.
7.4 is on SP07 like you say, and most of our customers run at least SP06 - before then, you had to apply a bucketload of SAP notes. I would recommend customers apply SP08 with care because it's a feature release so will have a bunch of new features, which will no doubt need corrections.

  • OutOfMemory error while executing sql query

    Hello!
My program gets multiple datas from database in every ten minutes, and stores them in memory for hundreds of users, requesting datas via web-interface simoultaneously.
I dont have access to change database structures, write stored procedures, etc, just read from db.
There is a table in database with lot of million rows, and sometimes when I try to execute a SELECT on this table it takes minutes to get back the result.
To avoid waiting for database server for a long time, I set querytimeout to 30 seconds.
If the server throws back the execution with Query Timed out Exception, I want to 'forget' this data, and 0 value is acceptable because of fast run is more important. So I put the boolean broken variable to check if there is any problem with db server.
The size of the used memory is about 150Mb if things going well, but I set the max heap to 512 MB, just in case anything happens.
I'm logging all threads stacktrace, and free/used/allocated memory size in every 5 seconds.(threadwatching.log) 2.appendix
Sometimes, not in every case (I dont know what is this depends on), when I get the next phase of refreshing cached datas (you can see it below), the process reaches the fiorst checkpoint (signed in code below), starts to execute the sql query, and never reaches the second checkpoint , but used memory growing 50-60 Mb-os in every 5 seconds, as I can see in threadwatching.log until it reaches the max memory and throws OutOfMemory error: java heap space.
I'm using DbConnectionBroker for connection pooling, SQLCommandBean for handling Statements, PreparedStatements, etc, and jTDS jdbc connector.
SQLCommandBean closes statements, resultsets, so these objects doesnt stays open.
I cant figured out what causes the memory leak, if someone have an idea, please help me.

What does your query bring back from this table? This is the query:
SELECT case sum(c.picked) when 0 then 0 else
    ((sum(c.picked)-(sum(c.picked)-(sum(c.vacuum)+sum(c.id
    ent))))*cast((1000000/cast(sum(c.picked) as float))
    as bigint)) end as PPM
    FROM sip_comp c
LEFT JOIN sip_pcb pc ON pc.id=c.pcbid
    LEFT JOIN sip_period p on p.id=pc.periodid
WHERE p.stationid=? AND pc.time BETWEEN ? AND ?Has anybody who knows SQL tried EXPLAIN PLAN to optimize this table? You're joining on a table with a million rows and you're wondering why the performance is poor?
What is the index situation with these tables?
.> When I execute it from query manager, it takes from 1
to 60 secs depend on servers availability. So how will that be any different for JDBC and Java?
..> You're right. Thats why I am here.
What I mean by that is we can't read minds, either. You need to get some hard data to tell you where the bottleneck is. Asking at a forum won't help.
But tell me, if the java process enters to this query
execution, and doesnt quit until OOM thrown, how can
be the problem in caching?I was guessing about caching, because I didn't know what the query was.
    You expect a lot.
    .> No.
Then how do you ever expect to solve this?
I tried YourKit Profiler at home, where I'm
developing software, but this OOM never thrown here,
even if I have the same database size. Then you aren't replicating the problem. You have to run it on the system that has the problem if you're going to solve it.
YourKit isn't an industry leader. How well do you know how to use it?
It just happened at the company where the system
runs, and I cannot run this profiler there because
the PC where my tomcat runs dramatically slowed. You have to run something to figure out what the problem is. What about Log4J, some trace logging statements and a batch job to harvest the log?
Bottom line: you've got to be a scientist and get some real data. We can theorize all we want here, but that won't get you to a solution.

  • Error when executing a query on master data

    Hi Friends,
When I execute a query fon Master Data Characteristic infoObject ( 0BPARTNER ) from BEx Analyzer I got the below error. 0BPARTNER contains 15 attributes. I am getting the below error only for this query. Rest all other queries are working good with the same BEx Analyzer.
<b>An error occured in the communication with the BW Server.
Due to this connection has to be closed.</b>
    <b>Detailed Description:
    The system is configured incorrectly.</b>
Please tell me what could be the problem? How to overcome this?
    Thanks,
    Sasi

    Hi Arun,
Before the execution of query I did that. And it was ' Query is Correct'.
    Any more ideas?
    Thanks,
    Sasi.

  • Query execution failed for data set

    Hi,
We are using SQL 2005 server for generating reports. When we ran the reports it taking so much time after some time it shows this error:---
ReportProcessing.ProcessingAbortedException: An error has occurred during report processing. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ReportProcessingException: Query execution failed for data set  ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A severe error occurred on the current command.  The results, if any, should be discarded.
    Can you help me out.
    Thanks,
       --Amit

My team is also facing similar problem. The RS trace logs report:
    w3wp!processing!13!9/26/2007-15:31:23:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ReportProcessingException: Query execution failed for data set 'msdb'., ;
Info: Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ReportProcessingException: Query execution failed for data set 'msdb'. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A severe error occurred on the current command.  The results, if any, should be discarded.
    Operation cancelled by user.
In our system, Report Server and Database are on different machines. Report Server access database using a service account who has stored proc execute permissions on database.
Problem comes only if the query execution time exceeds 5 mins. Otherwise the report gets generated successfully.
I suspected this to be some timeout issue. But I have checked that all timeout settings in rs config files are as default.
    Any pointers?
    Thanks

  • Slow query execution time

    Hi,
I have a query which fetches around 100 records from a table which has approximately 30 million records. Unfortunately, I have to use the same table and can't go ahead with a new table.
The query executes within a second from RapidSQL. The problem I'm facing is it takes more than 10 minutes when I run it through the Java application. It doesn't throw any exceptions, it executes properly.
    The query:
SELECT aaa, bbb, SUM(ccc), SUM(ddd), etc
    FROM MyTable
    WHERE SomeDate= date_entered_by_user  AND SomeString IN ("aaa","bbb")
GROUP BY aaa, bbbI have an existing clustered index on SomeDate and SomeString fields.
To check I replaced the where clause with
    WHERE SomeDate= date_entered_by_user  AND SomeString = "aaa"No improvements.
    What could be the problem?
    Thank you,
    Lobo

It's hard for me to see how a stored proc will address this problem. I don't think it changes anything. Can you explain? The problem is slow query execution time. One way to speed up the execution time inside the RDBMS is to streamline the internal operations inside the interpreter.
When the engine receives a command to execute a SQL statement, it does a few things before actually executing the statement. These things take time. First, it checks to make sure there are no syntax errors in the SQL statement. Second, it checks to make sure all of the tables, columns and relationships "are in order." Third, it formulates an execution plan. This last step takes the most time out of the three. But, they all take time. The speed of these processes may vary from product to product.
When you create a stored procedure in a RDBMS, the processes above occur when you create the procedure. Most importantly, once an execution plan is created it is stored and reused whenever the stored procedure is ran. So, whenever an application calls the stored procedure, the execution plan has already been created. The engine does not have to anaylze the SELECT|INSERT|UPDATE|DELETE statements and create the plan (over and over again).
The stored execution plan will enable the engine to execute the query faster.

  • Vendor Code 1317 Query execution was interrupted MySQL

An Error was encountered performing the requested operation:
    Query execution was interrupted
    Vendor Code 1317
    Is this a network issue?
    A database issue?
This is intermittent, for a period I can query tables then I try a new query or click on a different table, and the error appears.
    Anyone else experience this?
    Version 2.1.1.64.45
    Java Platform 1.6.0_11

    Hi Guys,
    I couldn't initially replicate.
But when I downloaded the driver version you are using (mysql-connector-java-5.1.13-bin.jar) it happened straight away.
    Example: select * from information_schema.tables
second execution > Query execution was interruptedI have no issues (with my limited testing) using the documented JDBC driver (mysql-connector-java-5.0.4-bin.jar)
    http://downloads.mysql.com/archives/mysql-connector-java-5.0/mysql-connector-java-5.0.4.zip
We don't upgrade/test/support the latest version of each JDBC driver, only when we see a benefit.
This goes for JTDS for SQL Server and Sybase and the other third party JDBC drivers.
Appreciate that this is not easy to find or obvious.
Heres the list of JDBC versions.

  • AMFPHP and AS3FLEXDB - how to disable 'busy indicator' during query execution ?

I'm doing some experiments with Flex and SQL with use of as3flexdb and AMFPHP.
I've written some application which is pushing some data to SQL base...
problem is, that durring query execution, there is some 'busy indicator' on the screen
    - some circle, and word 'loading'.
Have you any idea how to disable this ?
Everything what I'm doing is based on this tutorial below, but there is no idea in it how to
    disable the indicator.
    http://ghalex.com/blog/tag/as3flexdb
I'm not sure if this indicator comes from as3flexdb libraries or AMFPHP itself ?
Has anyone of you had such problem before ??
    Thanks for all ideas
    Rymas,

Unfortunatelly my cheers was to early
I've successfully decompiled the library swc file, found Query.as class and corrected things mentioned in this
    post : http://itutorials.ro/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=22&p=59&hilit=loading#p59
... but I cannot compile the library.fla back to swf ... it's generating some errors
Could anyone help me with that, maybe you've got more expirience with decompiling and compiling.
Orginal .swc file is here : http://www.rymasek.iq.pl/swc/as3flexdb_1.3.0.swc
    Thanks for help !!
