Error in db6conv failed due to transaction log full

Hi,
I have a huge problem with my production system.
I was executing db6conv v4.08 to convert a table to a new tablespace and it stopped due to a transaction log full.
Now I have this situation:
table soffcont1
db6conv: status: preliminary
I check the job db6conv_job_soffcont1 with status scheduled.
The problem is that when I want to execute this jobs it gives me an error:
Definition of job db6conv_job_soffcont1 is incomplete. Operation is not possible.

Judging by the transcript snips that you provided, I also believe that this is caused by a bad drive or bad media.
Start by looking at the output of the command :
# obtool dumpdev <tape_drive_name>
(replace "<tape_drive_name>" by the name of the drive which was used during the failed job).
Look for any errors or warnings during the date/time the backup job failed. These message usually provide a good idea about the problem that occurred.
Next try the same backup using the same media in another drive to see it the problem reoccurs or not. In case the problem reoccurs, there's a good chance that the media is bad. If the backup succeeds on another drive, then try the same backup using the original drive but with a new media. If the backup fails again on the same drive using new media, you should open a support request with the tape drive vendor. In that case, collect the logs from the tape library (and dump the tape drives is possible).

If you have moved the server to a new data center and an issue has started occurring then it could point to the change.
Are you able to log into essbase directly with Maxl using the same account?
If you run a registry report do you see any of the configuration with IPs instead of DNS/hostname

Rerun failed queries from transaction log backup files

I recently ran into an issue where live production data was failing to insert into my database. When my windows service inserted data the query failed and returned an error message indicating that the transaction didn't succeed.
After restarting SQL the insert statements started working again as they had before. However, because of this I missed about 24 hrs worth of important production data. My server is currently configured to make database backups every 24 hours and make transaction
log backups every hour.
Is it possible to reapply the SQL queries that failed from the transaction log backups? I understand the transaction log backups contain information about what in the database changed, but does it contain the statements that attempted to run but failed?

Basically SQL was having difficulty reading the microsoft.sqlserver.types.dll assembly. This assembly is used for interacting with the Geography data type. I was getting this error message directly from within SSMS - not just in my .net app. Also, there's
not triggers on this table or any custom SQL besides my insert statement.
Then consensus I'm getting is that this isn't really possible to do using transaction logs without extreme difficultly. I installed the ApexSQL before posting on this forum but I wasn't able to find my insert statements.

I encounter the following error messsage when i run my jsp:
Fatal Error: Unable to write to the transaction log (/D:/jdev9i_902/jdev/system/oc4j-config/log/transaction.state), possible reasons for this are that Orion lacks permission to write to the file, or that another instance of the server is already running with this configuration (most common): Unable to alter transaction log
P.S. I have checked the 'Run Manager', no active process has been running. Does anyone know how to solve it?

DB2 transaction log full

I am installing ECC6 for DB2 on RedHat AS4 platform. During import ABAP phase(running3, waiting1, completed15, total19), I have a strange error. System tell me that DB2 transaction log full. It seems unreasonable. System should know data volume during data import. I increased DB2 log file size when I got the error, and now, import ABAP is still in progress. Does anybody know why I got this error? Thanks so much.

there should be an SAPINST-Dialog similar to
"SAP System > Database Import"
where you can enter
Number of Parallel Jobs
In newer installations you started in "Default Mode" you need to review your summary dialog and mark the corresponding dialog for respecification.
Then you can specify your desired number of parallel Jobs

Photo upload to iCloud fails with the error message 'Upload failed due to network error'. Ideas?

I am trying to get my photos on my Mac Mini onto my iPad 2 via iCloud. I have tracked the problem down to upload failure from Mini to iCloud. 1St (&every) photo upload fails with the message 'Upload failed due to network error'. Any ideas?

I doubt this issue is related to the Mac Mini specifically.
I have 44 photos shot with an iPhone 3G that will not upload to iCloud Photo Library. I try and drag-and-drop them onto the web interface and I get the same error message you did:
Upload Failed
44 items were not uploaded due to a network error.
However, I have another 62 photos shot with the same iPhone 3G that upload without issue. And I just uploaded 440 photos from an iPhone 4 without issue.
I thought it may have something to do with certain EXIF tags missing on the photos that would not upload but I have not been able to figure out a pattern when comparing photos that work and photos that don't work.
The photos that won't upload open fine in QuickLook, Preview, and Pixelmator so I doubt the image is corrupted in some way.
I can AirDrop the photo to my iOS device and it will upload to iCloud Photo Library, the photo/video count will be incremented on the iOS device and iCloud Photo Library but the photo will never be displayed in iCloud Photo Library. When I delete the photo on the iOS device the photo/video count will decrement on the iOS device but will remain the same in iCloud Photo Library. When this occurred the following error was thrown in the iCloud Photo Library web interface:

Transaction log full

Transaction log is full in production system ,when i was tried login into sap system it show the error message 'SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRIES'.
our system is db2 and AIX ,can any body hlep us step by step procedure for reslove the issue .

you have to increase the sum of the logs in order to enlarge the database log...plz do not forget that the log must fit the underlying file system, eg. /db2/<SID>/dir_log..so you might have to increase this as well using SMITTY...

MSSQL Transaction Log full

Hi,
whenever I am ruuning Client copy it got stuck because of Trnsactional log getting full.Then I have to take backup of Transactional log & then again start client copy.
For a client copy it takes around 48 hour & I am facing this problem 10 times.
Please let me know if there can be some solution to avoid this situation.Aslo please suggest procedure to avoid it.
we are using MSSQL 2005 databsae & Windows 2003 server.

Yes, I would highly recommend running transaction log backups every 15 minutes at least. Especiallly if you are creating 10GB of transaction data every day.
This client copy issue may very well be a lifesaver for you in the future.
Re-evaluate your backup/recovery scenario.

Firstly check if R3trans -d is working fine.
If so, please chek if the following parameters are set properly.
DIR_LIBRARY=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run
TRANSDIR = ....\trans
<SID>/DBHOST = <HOSTNAME>
<SID>/DBNAME = <SID>
<SID>/DBTYPE = ora
Execute the below command and check the transport profile:
tp check all pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
Please confirm the permission of the /oracle/ directory
The permission of the /oracle should be 755.
Also check if the import queue is not locked.
Also please ensure the Kernel is of latest version, if not, please update the DBSL shared library.Please look at the note 19466.
Finally you can try once distributing and activating the transport routes once.
When you executed command R3trans -d logfile trans.log will be created.
Please check this file for exact error information.
Paste the log file here.

Getting Error in Data Collection - FDPSTP failed due to ORA-23401

I am really new to ATP Setup and after referring to the Metalink notes, I have compelted the setups required to calculate ATP in Sales Order Window.
But when I am submitting the Data Collection which is the last step I guess, the program is ending with Error.
I am getting the error.
FDPSTP failed due to ORA-23401: materialized view "APPS"."MTL_OH_QTYS_SN" does not exist.
And because of this, when I am going to Sales Order to check the ATP, I am getting the error that Try Calculating ATP Again.
Please Help. Project is into a critical stage and I am stuck with this error.
