Error in flow logic of table maintenance generator

Hi,
While activating the flow logic of table maintenance generator I am getting this error 'Table control TCTRL_ZUPP2P_PIBAYCNT must have atleast 2 loop lines.' and in layout I am able to see only 2 rows.Can anyone tell me why am I getting this error.

Take the function group and goto SE80 and activate the function group to avoid the error...

Table Maintenance Generator giving Error in PRD.

Hello Experts,
I am receiving below error in PRD for a Table Maintenance generator for Z-Table. PFA Screen Shot.
My Query is that though the information icon narrates to goto T-code SE54 & Re-generate TMG for the specified Function group. Which Option should 1 select after i had selection the option for Edit Function group->Re-generate group specific program.
The info icon in the first pic says to do the following.
Choose 'Edit Function Group' in the transaction SE54, enter the function group name 'ZOTMTRDPROFITSEG' and choose 'Regenerate Group-Specific Programs'. Choose 'Refresh Structure-Spec. Data Declarations' in the next selection window.
Would like to add a point that this Function grp also contains TMG for other tables as well, will it impact other TMG's.

regenerate the TM object via SE11 - Table maintenance.
normally should do the trick.
However, keep the func groups & tables 1:1 saves a lot of this kind of problem.
Don't mix them up i.e. more than 1 tab maint for a func group - never ending hassle you will get!!!
go into Expert mode and regen it again. Remove the maint from this func group and create new func group for the table.

Error while creating table maintenance generator

Hi,
I am getting below error while creating table maintenance generator.
Screen SAPLZtest 0002 could not be generated. In DYNPFIELD_ATTR field LENGTH has the invalid value 241.
Reason for that error might be:
In the table I have a field with a dataelement(customized) of type Char and length 241.
But in the other table Iam using the standard data element(standard) of same type(241 char).In this table Iam able to create table maintenance generator without any errors.
And the domain Iam using is same for both the tables.
Please help me to solve this.

Error: Enhancing Table Maintenance Generator

Hello,
I am trying to enhance a Table Maintenance Generator as per client's requirement; while saving a new entry; I got to do some validations; I have got the spot to include my code; but how should I include it; using Enhancement Spots or something? To try out, I have made an enhancement spot and trying to make an enhancement in the program; it throws out an error: "Object FUGR SVIM is part of the central basis and therefore cannot be enhanced".
Please guide me how to proceed? Is this approach correct to enhance a Table Maintenance Generator?

1. By using the events
2. Doing changes in PAI of that screen and placing validations.

The purpose of table maintainence generator is to enable the table maintenance through SM30, and to implement and validation etc on table field inputs.
SE11->Utillities->table maintainence generator
You need to enter the values of following fields:
1. Table name
2. Authorization group , and authorization object (select the suitable one )
3. Function group and package
4. Maintainence type : single or double screen maintainence view depending on the option selected.
5. Maintain screen number : you may specify a value or let the system generate one for you.
The validation code for the table entry is written in the flow logic of this screen. Even some of the fields may be made display only , by adding suitable code in the logic or directly disabling the input in table control in the layout.
Table maintanance is for creating,adding datas to an existing table.
it is for adding muiltiple records at a time in the table
A table can be manipulated by a program or manually.
When creating table, you will find a check box 'Table maintenance allowed'. If we
check that option, we can manually enter entries using SE16 or table
maintenance generator screen.
SE16 is for data browser.
Go to SE11, give the table name and click on change. Then Go to utilities--> Table
maintenance generator.
In the table maintenance generator screen, we should give Authorization Group,
Function Group name (Function Group name can be same as table name),
Maintenance type can be one step or two step, usually we will create with one
step. we should give maintenance screen number. After clicking on create button,
a table maintenance generator will be created.
To check it go to SM30 . In SM30, we find display, Maintain options.
We can view the table contents by choosing Display and we can create table
entries by choosing Maintain.
In the production system, end-users will not be having access to transaction
codes like SE11 and SE16. Developers will not be having access to many
transaction codes including the above two.
To view the contents of the database table, we will use SE16n in Production
system. Please find out the difference between SE16 and SE16n.
All these authorizations will be maintained by BASIS team, by creating access
profiles.
So in order to edit or create the contents of a database table, we should go for
table maintenance generator. In real time, authorizations will be maintained in
production system. (even in development and Test systems to some extent).
There is an audit like Sarbanes-Oxley Act for American clients, where every thing
will be audited by government agency. To know more about SOX, use the links on
the right hand side of this page.
The second reason is, we can edit or create multiple entries at a time, using table
maintenance generator.
Apart from that we have options like 'Enter conditions' in table maintenance
screen SM30. Please try to find out the use of those, by creating an example.
Table Maintenance generator: Difference between one step and two steps.
While creating table maintenance generator, we find below options:
When we choose one step, we have to give the screen number in Overview Screen field.
When we choose two step, we have to give both overview screen number and single screen number.
You can give any number for screen. Dont give 1000 screen number. As this
number is reserved for selection screen.
When we choose two step, two screens will be created for table maintenance. For
single step only one screen will be created.
When we choose two step, table maintenance will work as follows
Go to SM30, give the table name for which you have created table maintenance-
Overview screen will be displayed. To create entries, when you click on new
entries. Another screen will be displayed, where you give input and save. You can
enter one record at a time.
Go to SM30; give table name for which you have created table maintenance-
Overview screen will be displayed; To create entries click on new entries, you can
enter the records on the same screen. You can enter multiple records at a time.
We use single step generally, as it is user friendly.
To completely understand the difference and above points please do exercise by
creating table maintenance generator in both ways (using single step and two
step).

One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator
Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.
Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.

Blank Records added while using Table maintenance generator - SM30

I have created a ztable and view,
For the view table maintenance generator created using sm30,
First time when i add reords, a blank record is added automatically ,how to prevent it,
Also when i try to add invalid data, system throws error , field becomes display only.
How to solve.

Hi Tarun,
Go to the layout and increase the size of the Screen. or at the screen attributes change the length and width values.
You know that initially the screen occupies default size only.

Add field in table maintenance generator screen of maintenance view

Hi,
I am having a table with field user-id. I want to generate a maintenance view which will have corresponding user name as input disabled field. Since there are two tables USR21 and ADRP I need to access(not a direct check table) I will have to modify the code generated by the table maintenance generator.
Problem is that it is having one internal table EXTRACT at table control loop. That internal table cannot be accessed if you write a module inside the table control loop and try to catch. The error coming as EXTRACT is not object of structure and therefore no component. I tried to capture the value of the Loop but could not be successful. Any suggestion please.

Field validation in table maintenance generator and input value grey out.

i have created ztable with 3 fields as em_no,em_no and addrnumber.
first two fields are custom fields but the third custom field need to validate the standard table adrc contains the value of the field addrnumber.
i need the query of field validation query which we write in create entry events in table maintenance generator and also if we give wrong value for addrnumber in sm30 maintain table, the input field need not to be grey out for next entry...
please help.

create event -.>.as zsave select event type 1(before saving data to table) write code in include....
consider data for field3 is 10 .
lv_new = ztbr(table name)-field3.
select field3 from ADRC(ZTABLE) into wa_new (TYPE ZTABLE) where field3 = lv_new.
if sy-subrc = 0.
     working fine
     else.
    message i888(sabapdocu) with 'data invalid'.

EVENT problem in Table maintenance generator

Hello all
             I m working on 4.6C sytem. I m facing 2 problems in events in table maintenance generator
(1) I am using 04 event (After deleting records from table)   I have written BREAK-POINT in the Form .....ENDFORM... But the control doesnt stop there , when i select an existing record and press delete record button? not able to understand this
(2) When i implement even t 03( Before deleting records from table) , and select an existing record and press delete record button . Control successfully Go to corresponding FORM ...   BREAK-POINT ENDFORM .
But now the problem is.. in debuggin i can see the contents in TOTAL table but when i try to code LOOP at TOTAL ..ENDLOOP...it gives me syntax error saying " table TOTAL doesnot exists or not defined..but similar field TOTAL_S , TOTAL_M , TOTAL_L exists.. ???
how come i can see the same during debugging but cannot code it ?

(1) I think the control will stop there after you delete AND save. Not sure about that but give it a try.
(2) I believe you are trying to access fields inside table TOTAL, is that right?
Actually you have to declare a work area with your Z table type.
DATA: w_workarea type ztable.
LOOP at total.
w_workarea = total.
endoop.
Then you can work with w_workarea.

Fields update on Table maintenance generator screen

HI All..
I have a custom table with five fields. I did table maintenance generator on it. It has Screen 1 as overview screen and scree 2 as single screen.
Now of the five fields two fields are user name and date. When i enter data on the other three fields and save it on the second screen - iam able to update the two fields for username and date and display on the screen two itself.
But if iam not saving the data on the screen 2 and going back to screen 1 and then save it - iam not able to update the user name and date and also to display the username and date on the screen.
Any suggestions are helpful..

In this case..
Iam having the functionality of SM30 through table maintenance generator.
On Screen 2- single screen - user name and date is working as i had written the logic in the relevant PBO and PAI module.
But if user is not saving the data in screen screen2 and coming back to screen 1- which is overview screen and then try to save it-- all other fields are getting saved except the username and date..

Event for input validation in custom table (table maintenance generator)

Hello all,
I look for a solution to execute an event after the modification of a table field of a custom table to validate the user's input.
I already tried event 07 (Execution : Before correcting the contents of a selected field) of the table maintenance generator but it will be executed after some modification made by the Edit -> Change field action.
I could use the event 01 but in my opinion this event happens to late and errors are very uncomfortable for the user at that time.
Editing the dynpro events is not a solution for me because it should be easy to maintain the table structure at any time.

Event 08 just starts after the saving process after Event 07.
Event 18 gets executed when I click on the save button.
I want to check the data after the enter button was pressed as you can see it in several transactions.

Validating non key fields in table maintenance generator

I ma using events for table maintenance generator event 05 ,there i want to validate non key fields ......i am throwing error message ....all the non key fields are getting in display mode ...i need them to enable to enter values ....

Its property of error message, which makes it as non-editable.
You can display either status or info message after validation check.
And finally before saving (before save event) display error message, so that it invalid entries doesnt get saved.

Table maintenance generator events

Hi,
I have created a table maintenance generator and want to populate sy-uname and sy-datum into two fields during SAVE. So I went to Environment -> Modification -> Events and selected "01" event i.e. "Before saving the data in the database" and entered Form routine as "F_UPDATE_UNAME_UDATE". Then if I go to SM30 transaction it goes to dump.
Could you please tell whether I am missing any point?

     Error in ABAP application program.
     The current ABAP program "SAPLZTEST321" had to be terminated because one of the

     This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
     The current ABAP program had to be terminated because the
     ABAP processor detected an internal system error.
     The current ABAP program "SAPLZTEST321" had to be terminated because the ABAP
     processor discovered an invalid system state.
What can you do?
     Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
     and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
     error.
     To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
     You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
      termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
     date.

    The name "F_UPDATE_UNAME_UDATE " of the called routine may be incorrect, or
    the routine "F_UPDATE_UNAME_UDATE " is not yet implemented in the program
     "SAPLZTEST321 ".
    2. If the program SAPMSSY1 is involved in the runtime error, one of
    the function modules called via RFC is not flagged as remote-capable.
    (see Transaction SE37 Goto->Administration->RFC flag)
    3. There is an inconsistency in the system. The versions of the
    programs "SAPLZTEST321" and "SAPLZTEST321 " do not match.
How to correct the error
    - Check that transports to the system are complete.
    - Conclude any developments already begun ("SAPLZTEST321" and/or "SAPLZTEST321
    - Check routine names
    You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
    in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
    use the following search criteria:
    "PERFORM_NOT_FOUND" CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FORMC
    "SAPLZTEST321" or "LSVIMF14"
    "PREPARE_SAVING"
    If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
    an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
    1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
       To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
       Save->Local File (unconverted)".
    2. A suitable printout of the system log
       To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
       Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
       after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
       "System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
