Error in Javascript:Not fetching value on Button click

Hi,
I am using APEX 4.1 to build the application.
I have 2 select list items in the page where one region consist of certain values.On calling a javascript function it is able to move the value from one select region to another. After this I click on the modify button where in the value move out of the first select list region to the second will be updated in the table.
Although I could see the values are not being updates.
On putting alerts after the value being fetched in the javascript function and clicking the Modify button I can see that no data is being reflected in the alert. Hence the data is not being passed from the second select list APEX item to the javascript function.

I would be interested to see the way you pass the value of the select list item to the JS function and also, the way you invoke your javascript. BTW, is there a specific reason for calling the javascript function from the button? Can't you just have a simple after-submit process to update the database?

I have tried to install the new version of Adobe Reader XI, but I keep getting the following error messages.
I have tried to follow suggestion by others on the web as to how to sort this problem out.
I have uninstalled adobe reader and restarted the computer.
tried to download again but still get the error message.
The full error message I got was,

I went to the registry HKEY_Local_Machine and then to the above location.
in the right hand side of the registry editor is listed ADOBE ARM "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe"
I have tried to delete this entry but my system wont let me.
I am running Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
I have 4 Gb RAM
I have an Intel core2 Quad Q6600 @2.40Ghz
I run Zone Alarm Extreme Security with virus protection.
I hope someone can help as I want to install Adobe Reader.

Okay here is what happened:
I purchased a new Mac because my old one was on the fritz. They put all of
my old programs on my new computer including my old Adobe Acrobat 7.0
Standard. Since I purchased a newer computer, I gave the old one to my
assistant. But the Apple people replaced the hard drive on the old one, so
none of the old programs were in the system. I purchased Adobe Acrobat XI
Standard for the new computer and figured I could just reload the old
acrobat on the old computer. But I had to buy new windows and parallels
programs in order to get the parallels program to work on the old computer.
Here¹s what it looks like:

How much more messy could this get?
Maybe I should put all of the old stuff on the old computer and all of the

Function Module does not fetch value

Hi All,
I am using the fm RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD to fetch condition records. When I run this fm in SE37 for a particular document(vbeln) number, the values are fetched correctly into the internal tables TKOMV and TKOMVD.
The same fm does not fetch values when I run for second time for the same document(vbeln). This means :
1) I will go to SE37, type RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD, supply the export parameters in COMM_HEAD_I, execute it and obtain the condition records (Till this time absolutely fine)
2) Now, press Back (F3), Let the export parameters in "COMM_HEAD_I" will remain same. Just press Execute (F8). Then condition values are not fetched.
Could any body help in this regard...

 I have given you the other alternative bcoz there is a limitation while calling this FM: RV_PRICE_PRINT_HEAD.
If you see the comments and code of Include: LV61AA11, you can understand the problem.
* mechanism to controll which conditions are already part of table TKOMV
Every time a pricing result is read from database the key is put into
TABGL. Also TABGL is updated if we've lines in TKOMV assigned to a
special key but entry in TABGL (case 2).
Originally TABGL was established to handle following pathological
case: condition successfully read from DB -> entry in TABGL. Then all
read conditions where deleted during processing (e.g. manually
deletion etc.). If we run into this routine again no records should
be redetermined from DB...
read table tabgl with table key knumv = komk-knumv
 transporting no fields.
Case 1:
conditions have been already read because there is a fitting entry in
TABGL. Exit immediately if caller doesn't want to force DB access.
if sy-subrc eq 0. ---> First time SY-SUBRC NE 0 so no problem
 if generell_lesen ne 'X'. --> Later runs SY-SUBRC eq 0 and generell_lesen value is SPACE.

Error 1406.Could not write value to key

When I at almost done installing iTunes, I get this error message, everytime whether I do it from the CD that came with my iPod or if I download it from apple.com and try to install it. For the sufficient access part (In full error message below), I have the only account on this computer so I do have admin permissions.
Full error message...
Error 1406.Could not write value to key \Software\Classes\.cdda\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe. Verifu that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Oh yeah, if I press ignore, it installs a little further then I get another error message:
Error 1402.Could not open key: HKEYLOCALMACHINE\Software\Classes\,cdda\OpenWithProdigids. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key or contact you support personel.
And then... I get another error message, but before I get the error message, the installer says "Rolling back action:" for a bit and makes some progress.
Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.

Hi,
I'm running Windows 7 and have admin privileges on the computer. I just attempted to download and install the latest version of Skype. The Install failed with the error message: "Could not write value to key \Skype.Content\shell\open\command"..." I checked the community and saw the post about Error 1603 and running Microsoft FixIt. I downloaded and ran that. It did not list Skype in the list and did not find any problems. So... I cannot install Skype, and this error continues to occur.
How can I fix this problem and install Skype?

Item will not fetch values

Hi all,
I have a number of fileds on my page that are entered with user-input. Then, I have one hidden-protected field that is composed of 2 concatenated values from another field, so that I can use this field in the automatic row update process.
However, this composed field does not always (sometimes it does..) fetch the data from the user-input fields, so then month and year are left blank in the composed field and I get an ill formed date (01-- instead of 01-10-2008). A part of the debug shows that the user input fields are filled with data, but the composed field does not fetch the data (see bold parts):

To compose the P5_MAAND_OPNAME field I do the following:

Your approach doesn't work, because you use the Default Property of your item which is evaluated on rendering the page. What you need is a computation which runs right before the insert-process.

Cannot download McAfee. Error message: Javascripts not running. BUT it is enabled...

Not sure why this is an issue. Have run PC clean up, made sure to run everything by book. Download goes through to very last and then says Javascripts not enabled/working. I have already double checked settings. Javascripts IS selected to run, so where do you think my issue is?

Result handler not getting invoked on button click - URGENT

We are using BlazeDs On button click I call java service and expect a response object back to flex UI. We are getting the java call invoked successfully and the log clearly shows that the appropriate objects are returned from java service, however, the result handler is not getting inviked to capture the result in flex mxml. Javascript not working unless user double clicks

I'm working on a redesign of a site. On the FAQ page, there is a javascript. You are supposed to click on the Q to reaveal the A. On the dev site you have to doubleclick. This is wrong.

The issue is because on the dev site the hidden answers have all been given a class Afaq which has css of display:none which hides all the answers on page load. Whereas the other site there is no class on the answers div, but all the answers have inline styling to hide them.
The javascript works by changing the inline styling of the answer div... the first time it is clicked on the dev site it doesn't find any inline styling so sets some to display none, so that on the second click it begings working again!
so the simplest solution would be either to alter the javascript to change the css class, or to remove the class and add inline styling like on the live site.
Compare the two sites with a tool like firebug for firefox and you should see the difference in HTML markup and the javascript changing the inline styling.

Luckily I have been able to rectify the problem !
I tried retrieving the output using LISTCUBE to show the SID of the InfoObject also for which I was unable to get the data. After the report successfully gave the output for those I/O, I checked again I could see the data in the I/O maintain master data !
It worked like magic to me !
But I could guess that since it is a virtual I/O therefore it is not able to retrieve the data from the table directly and is able to do that only after the SID of this I/O is retrieved.
(If a characteristic does not have any master data, the values from the SID table are displayed for the "Values in Master Data Table" mode.)

Problem setting a hidden item value when button clicked with dynamic action or pl/sql process

I have a page that consists of a main region and several sub regions. I have a pl/sql process in After Header SET_DISPLAY(:P400_DISPLAY :='MAIN';)
Three subregions have a contional display where P400_DISPLAY = STORE. This works in hiding the sub regions.
Now I want to change the P400_DISPLAY value to STORE to show the subregions when I hit a button.
I tried creating a dynamic action for on click of the add button but get the following error:

I then tried creating a page process, pl/sql, :P400_DISPLAY :='STORE'; when the appropriate button is pressed. The button action is submit page. However, it does not change the P400_DISPLAY value and the subregions stay hidden.
Suggestions please on how to fix the template or change the P400_DISPLAY value?

The root issue is that, although you change the value of your page item, it isn't visible to other areas of the page until it is in the session. So, any other action based on the value of your page item; the visibility of a control, a report based on the item's value, etc. will all be unaffected by changing the value of the page item until it has been changed in the session. Even after this the items are stored in the session, you must thereafter do something to cause the value to be reevaluated. To see the effect of this, observe that your page loads and evaluates the value of your page item, it sees that is "MAIN" and hides the regions. However, it doesn't reevaluate them after this.
So; your choices to get this value set in the session are to either Submit the page, or use JavaScript to set the value in the session. If you use the latter of these, you'll have to do some further work to cause the visibility tests to be re-run, So, let's stick with with the submit method.
What you've done above sounds correct for this but, there are a lot of decisions you could have made that might have caused things not to happen in the correct sequence.
Firstly, let's confirm that what I describe above is your problem. From the development environment, load the page, click the button to change the value and submit. Now, click the link labelled Session. Is it still set to MAIN? If so; this is your issue.
Let's start with the your After Header computation. Did you set it to *only* run if the current value of your page item is NULL??? If not, that's your problem.
Load Page -> Item set to 'Main' by Computation -> Click Button -> Item set to STORE -> Submit -> Load Page -> Item set to 'Main' by Computation
See the problem?
Assuming this isn't the issue, you created a Branch to the same page, right? What is your process point for the Branch? Is it *After* Validation, Computation etc? Because if not, you aren't changing the value before the submit happens.
I bet it is the first issue but, take a look at these.
