Error in Query Result on ADF Table using "ROLLUP"

Hi, I use Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0
My problem is whenever i run and test my query (on SQL Developer 3.2 release) which has a "Rollup" command, it shows the accurate result with the total and subtotals in the right place as i want it..... But after configuring it on my ADF application via ADF Table, whenever i run it, the subtotals are scattered and misplaced (not being at the position they are meant to be like in SQL Developer)..........
Please is there a possible way to correct this or is there something im not getting right?
Please i await any good suggestions or corrections...
Thank you.
OBYYS.

Hi,
maybe you want to share how from ADF you access your query. Do you use ADF BC, EJB, POJO (with JDBC) to issue the call? If you use ADF BC, how is the value displayed in the tester? Note that SQL Developer just prints the result of a query wheras a table requires you to provide row/column values even for rows that define totals. I assume this to be your problem.

  • Howto: Save prediction query results to relational table

    I believe saving prediction query results to relational tables is possible (the BI studio does it!). I am not clear on how to do this w/o the BI studio, which means if I write a DMX query and want to store its output to a relational table, how do I do it?
    Tips, anyone?
    Thanks!

    a) You can write some code do this on the client-side. Use ADOMD.NET in your C# app to execute the DMX query and fetch a data reader, open up another connection to your relational database and write rows of data to the second connection as you read them from the first.
    b) You can create a linked server to your Analysis Server instance in your SQL Server relational server instance and then execute a "SELECT * INTO <newtable> FROM OPENQUERY(<linkedserver>, <DMX query>)" T-SQL statement from your relational database connection.

  • How to pass query result to HTML table?

    Hi,
      i want to get the query result in HTMl table instead of Display Grid. how to do it? i searched in help, it suggests use icommand to do this. but i dont know how to pass the select query result to HTML table.. please help me.
    -senthil

    Hi Senthil,
    You can create an icommand query. You can then use the icommand retrieval methods to capture and manipulate the query data.

    Basically what we did was, use the getColumnCount() and getRowCount() methods, once you have these two numbers you can set two for loops and use String getValue(int ColID, int RowID) , within the for loops you can generate the inner html content and write the values either in a html table or html form (which is what we did). This seems to work well, I'm still playing around with it and may post this approach on sdn by end of this week.

  • How to store query results into a table

    I want to store the query results to a table. Is there a way to automatically redirect output to a table without using a PL/SQL script.

    Run the following step only once unless you want to create the tabX everytime
    Create tabX as select x,y,z from tabY;
    Next time when you want to store the new results, run the following statement
    Insert into tabX select x,y,z from tabY;

  • Is there a way to create ADF Table using a bean

    Hi,
    I am using JDev 11g 11.1.1.2.0.
    I am reading an excel sheet and want to generate an ADF table using the same. I already have hold on excel data.
    But when I go through the RichTable API, I find that there is no method to add Columns and Rows. Most or all the methods work on the table UI Looks attribute.
    Any suggestion? Am I missing a method OR 2 here?
    Pls note: The excel (CSV file) using which I am populating my table, will vary for different user. i.e.
    say user 1 will upload a CSV file with 7cols and 100 rows while
    user 2 will upload the CSV file that has 2 cols and 100 rows.
    Hope this makes it clear of my requirements and why I want to populate the table from a bean.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to resolve the error message "JBO-25009" in ADF table?

    Hi all,
    There is a master detail form in jsff page using adf application. Detail is represented as ADF table. In the adf Table we have 4 primary key, two foreign key from master table.
    Type of primary key in master are Big Decimal and String. When I input value in field of detail, we get error message :
    "JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:java.math.BigDecimal from type:java.lang.String with value:AC".
    How to make if I input value in detail table don't show the error message?
    Please let me know if you have any solution for this.
    Thanks.

    Hi Rakesh.
    I don't try insert String into Big Decimal variable. I have adf table with 5 column and 4 primary key. The type of primary key are: 1Big Decimal and 3 String.
    Now, I want to insert data to the table. when I input data to first column (primary key : Big Decimal) is work well and then I want to insert data to second column (primary key : String) with value "AC"
    but when I insert, the error message is show "JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:java.math.BigDecimal from type:java.lang.String with value:AC".
    Why the error message is show when I insert data to second column with type String and I have been input data with String value?
    Are the second column is remember of type first column is Big Decimal ?
    Thanks.

  • Store SQL query results in db table

    Hi,
    I have a SQL query that produces a report table.
    Is it possible to automatically store the query results (or the report table) as a db table - without interrupting the current report building proces?
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
    You can also insert records into an existing table:
    INSERT INTO TABLEB (colA, colB, colC, etc) SELECT valA, valB, valC, etc FROM VIEWA WHERE etc etc
    This can be done during a page process that runs "Before Header" and you can base your report on the TABLEB. Obviously, you will need to maintain that table to ensure that it is only truncated where necessary, that one user doesn't try to access another user's data on that table and that each time your page is loaded it doesn't try to repopulate the table when you don't need it to.
    Another possiblity is to use a collection - which is user session based

  • Programmatically Set ReadOnly in an ADF Table using EL

    I have a requirement to allow updates only on the first record returned in a query returning multiple records - two of columns in the record can be updated and the rest are read-only by default.
    The records will be ordered so the most recently added record is displayed first and update-able.
    I would like to use EL to return a TRUE or FALSE within the ReadOnly column in the ADF table columns.
    Is there an EL expression that will indicated a "first record" that I can then compare to a static value?
    Something like: #{currentRowNum = 1}
    Is there a better approach to only allowing the first record to be updated, and setting the remaining records to be read-only?
    Thanks in advance...

    You could disable the fields if the row selected is not the first row of the view. Almost all of the af: control has the disabled or readOnly attribute available.

  • Multiple row selection in ADF Table using addition column with checkbox

    I am using ADF table(Jdeveloper11g) and i want to selecte multiple rows it may be more than one OR all rows.
    For that i added one Column to the table with Header Delete and checkbox
    <af:table....
    <af:column sortProperty="Delete" headerText="Delete" width="100"
    sortable="false">
    <af:selectBooleanCheckbox label="#{row.favoriteId}"
    valueChangeListener="#{Mybean.onCheck}"
    id="checkbox" autoSubmit="true">
    </af:selectBooleanCheckbox>
    </af:column>
    </af:table>
    backing bean:Here i added code to get Value of one column with id favoriteId and use an arrayList(listForDelete) to monitor the state of the checkboxes
    public void onCheck(ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent) {
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    DCBindingContainer dcBindings =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding iterBind =
    (DCIteratorBinding)bindings.get("getUserFavoritesByUserIDIterator");
    if (iterBind != null && iterBind.getCurrentRow() != null) {
    RichSelectBooleanCheckbox ch = (RichSelectBooleanCheckbox)valueChangeEvent.getSource();
    if (!ch.isSelected()) {
    Long issueId = (Long)iterBind.getCurrentRow().getAttribute("favoriteId");
    listForDelete.add(issueId);
    else
    Long issueId = (Long)iterBind.getCurrentRow().getAttribute("favoriteId");
    listForDelete.remove(issueId);
    Problem is that when i select single row checkBox, onCheck() method of backing bean gets called multiple times(equals to the number of rows)
    I think this is beacuse of <af:selectBooleanCheckbox id is same that is "checkbox" but i am not sure.Even i tried to assign some unique id but no any success in assigning Id with value Expression.
    I also find related post
    Re: ADF Table Multiple row selection by Managed Bean
    but that is related to Select All rows or Deselect all rows from table.
    From the simillar post i follow the steps given by Frank.but problem with below step
    ->have an af:clientAttribute assigned to the checkbox with the following EL #{row.key} ,here I added <af:clientAttribute name="#{row.key}"></af:clientAttribute> and i am getting error
    Error(64,37):  Static attribute must be a String literal, its illegal to specify an expression.
    Please let me know if any one had already implemented same test case.

    just to update after the rollback is called in the cancel button i wrote following code which does not change the row focus to the first row
    DCBindingContainer bc =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingUtils.getBindingContext().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding profItr =
    bc.findIteratorBinding("ProfileSearchInstIterator");
    Row cRow = profItr.getRowAtRangeIndex(0);
    if(cRow != null){
    System.out.println("Current row is not null so fixed ");
    profItr.setCurrentRowIndexInRange(0);
    RowKeySetImpl rks = new RowKeySetImpl();
    ArrayList keyList = new ArrayList();
    keyList.add(cRow.getKey());
    rks.add(keyList);
    profileTable.setSelectedRowKeys(rks);
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(profileTable);

  • Display data on ADF table using a VO binded to a message.properties file

    Hi,
    I want to display data in a JSPX page using ADF table which is based on a ViewObject. The attributes of the ViewObject should get it's value from a abc.properties file(static file).How can i achieve this.
    thanks in advance.
    regards,
    Himanshu.

    Hi Himanshu,
    When you create a VO based on static values, all of the records from your VO are generated into the MessageBundel.properties file like this
    devguide.entity.ViewObj.SL_0_0=1
    devguide.entity.ViewObj.SL_0_1=<val1>
    devguide.entity.ViewObj.SL_0_2=<val2>
    devguide.entity.ViewObj.SL_1_0=2
    devguide.entity.ViewObj.SL_1_1=<val1>
    devguide.entity.ViewObj.SL_1_2=<val2>
    You could add more lines to the properties files maintaining the same pattern. Also noticed that you can read all the values from a CSV file as well.
    The last resource is to programmatically read the file and start creating new rows on the VO, which won't use any of the declarative tools for VOs.

  • Moving Rows in ADF Table Using Drag and Drop

    I implemented a drag and drop functionality it works fine, I want to accomplish the following functionality:
    The user selects the rows and what if he drags the selected rows and wants to move to section beyond the limit of the table I want to scroll the table in the direction the user is dragging.
    I think it should be a default behavior in the ADF table but it doesn't, could you please anyone tell me how to scroll the table while dragging the selected rows?
    Thank you,

    What make you think that this is a default behavior?
    Adf tables a data bound. So the data appears in an order (mostly defined by a sort condition on the db).
    Even if you implement this behavior (which is possible but hard to do) you loose the new order by the next round trip to the db.
    You may try to use trinidad tables but then you don't have the drag & drop featur (I guess).

  • Query results to HTML table

    I'm looking for a more efficient way to convert a query result into an HTML table so that I can paste it into an email. The procedure in sqldeveloper (version 3.1.07) is just too clunky and involves too many keystrokes and mouse clicks. And you can't save the HTML to the clipboard. (I'm talking about the "Export..." action here.)
    Am I missing something? Are there any alternatives?
    Thanks!

    ... but sqlplus is so last millenium....
    Seriously? I'm from the last millennium too, nevertheless I don't consider myself out of date
    SQL*PLUS is still my first choice when I have to run a script. I'ts behaviour is reliably the same whereever my script is executed. I would never trust a script that needs another tool to be executed.
    Generating a HTML-mail is IMHO out of scope for a database tool. It's a feature I would expect in a BI tool that specializes on reporting.
