Error in SSO between Portal and IDM

Hi All,
In my scenario i need to configure the IDM workflow in portal and do SSO between them. I followed the steps given in IDM-Workflow installation document and did following things.
1. Uploaded the par file available in IDM installation kit in to portal.
2. Imported the Portal Content package (epa file) in to portal.I got the role Identity Center in my masthead.
3. Created System as said in the document.
4. Completed the necessary steps for transporting certificate between them.
But when click on the role 'Identy Center' or do preview of any iViews of IDM i am getting the following error.
Portal runtime error.
An exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator.

We have a Portal environment 7.02 , a Nakisa environment 3.0 (CE) and and HR backend environment 701 (604).
We are busy setting up SSO between Portal and Nakisa via the, URL iview for the Org chart (http://<host>:<port>OrgChart/default.jsp).
We have done as indicated in wiki:

I have created a root/XML folder under the diretory, and the path is now as follows:

It seems like it finds the verify.pse, but not the library, sapsecu.dll.

SSO between Portal and Java WD application

Hi Experts,
I am using CE 7.2 on localhost and I am very new to SAP.
I need to know how can I get SSO between Portal and Java WD. I have a WD application that displays the logged in user using "IUser currentUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser().getSAPUser()", as well I can use "IUser user = UMFactory.getAuthenticator().getLoggedInUser()". Both work.
Q1. What is the difference in the 2 above?
Q2. My WD application is set to authenticate user. The WD application is in URL iView. I need SSO between Portal and WD application. Is there a way to get this SSO without SAP Backend (ECC), for now I just need SSO between Portal and Java WD appl.
Everything is in localhost.

You may a few issues. SSO with logon tickets is based on accessing web sites in the same domain. So, if the portal is on http://ourportal.company.com, then the web site being accessed needs to have a URL like http://adphosted.company.com. Is the ADP system accessible by a DNS alias that is within company.com? If so, you're OK. If not, then there will be problems.
The other SSO method is user mapping, but the security implications are not good...

SSo between Portal 6.0 and Portal 7.0

We want to enable single sign on between Portal 6.0 and Portal 7.0.
Our scenario is, In Portal 7.0 on click of role or workset, Portal 6.0 have to be opened in a new window without asking user ID and Password.
What are the steps, I need to follow to achieve this.

SSO Between EP and R/3 6.4

I am trying to implement SSO between SAP EP 6.0 and SAP R/3 6.4 using logon tickets.
I've downloaded the .pse and .der files from Portal,uploaded the .pse in the backend system,added it to the ACL,but when i tried to test the connection in portal using system admin->system configuration->UM configuration->SAP system
i am getting an error----

the procedure for importing portal certificate in r3 system i already mentioned
u have a authorization for strustsso2 on r3 system
ask for that to basis person or done with their id
after importing portal certificate into r3 system u have to restart the r3 system no need to restart the portal system
and make sure for SSO both portal and R3 system are in same domain.
i.e
sapr3.mydomain.com
portal.mydomain.com
if not u have to specify the DNS entry for that by creating alias.

ObjectGUID as matching attribute for reconciliation between AD and IdM

Hello together,
I want to use the AD attribute objectGUID as matching attribute between AD and IdM. It is one of the attribute which will never be changed (in case of name changes of a person or similiar changes).
Our IdM can read this attribute and save it (with the help of a java script). This works fine.
But if I want write back something to AD I do not know how the "To LDAP directory" path must be configured. I get always the error that the account can not be found in the AD. Maybe the attribute must be changed with a java script ...
Has anyone already used this attribute?

Michael, I have done this many times in pretty much the same way you have indicated. While DN is good for basic LDAP / AD operations, ObjectGUID is preferred for ModRDN operations or if you want to change the user's DN. I have written about these operations in a blog, Using modRDN with SAP NW IDM.

Can some one point me as to how to configure the SSO between these various landscapes. I Think we would require SSO between EP and ITS for ESS in MSS services.

Role mapping between Portal and Back end systems

I am new to SAP EP.
I just want to know how the mapping between portal and back end system happens.
Scenario : There is a role in ECC system...say FI India. Now there is a request by the FI team that they want to access this role from Portal. In this case, please tell me how the security team will do it. Because I guess, it has to be done by the security team.

Question about load balancing between Portal and ABAP

Hi,
I have the problem whit load balancing between Portal and ECC (ERC) ABAP
Exist two system:
1) ECC (ERP) ABAP = Backend Module = HR
2) EP (JAVA) = Frontend
The users (9000 users) logon in the EP and run query (data personal) in the ECC. The problem to all user connect in Central Instance and not in the Dialog Instance.
How can balancing the conecction HTTP (EP) to ECC (ABAP)??

If you have ESS deployed on your portal, you will most probably need to do both.

Pls check the OSS note 836097, which can solve your problem.
In my experience, I can tell you something
When configuration is done, the configuration object is stored in VBAP-CUOBJ for the item. For this CUOBJ, you can find the configuration in the tcode CUTABLEINFO or in tables IBIB, IBIN, IBEXTINST, IBINOBS,IBINOWN,IBST,IBSTREF,IBINVALUES.
If for the order if VBAP-CUOBJ is not available, then it will not be able to get the configuration. The error message in this case is V1 854 of message class V1.
You can search for some other OSS notes also using this error message and the form name.

As of my knowledge MDM IViews have the advantage to ful fil your neeed to provide connectivity moreover,that they are not complex in structure and are therefore not restricted by any underlying schema structure. As opposed to regular iViews in other systems which are embedded into the pages on which they appear, MDM iViews are more generic and granular in nature enabling their placement on a page to be more adaptable.
The SAP Enterprise Portal (SAP EP) offers templates for creating the iViews. The following are some examples of these templates available at the link:

Procedure:
       1.      Create a new page using the page wizard.
       2.      To see the iViews you created on the new page, you need to link them to the page. Right-click each of the iViews that you created and from the context menu, select Add iView to Page → Delta Link

Page Content to view a list of the iViews that have been linked to this page
Page Layout to view the layout currently assigned to this page. The iViews can be rearranged using the drag&drop function.
       4.      The visual structure of a page can be changed with the Page Layout function. Select Define Layout to reset the layout of the page.

Error while configuring SSO between Portal 7.0 and Operating System.

Dear all,
I am having an issue,i need to configure SSO between the Portal 7.0 and operating System.I have followed both the Kerberos as well as spNego wizard methods,but i am not able to configure UME settings as we are using datasourceConfiguration_abap.xml. I tried to edit the datasource confuiguration file but after editing the server is not starting.
Please let me know the steps i have to do to edit the datasourceConfiguration_abap.xml
We are not able to Map the Service USer to the UME CONFIGURATION XML File.
