Error in summarized JIT call

Hi all,
while making the bin empty we are getting an Error message as belo
Message says that "container incorrect "
and i further found the message as belo
No messages records will be found for a summarized JIT call
Diagnosis
     You have selected a process that generates summarized JIT calls on
     setting the kanbans to EMPTY. The release of these JIT calls is
     controlled via message management.
     The system cannot generate a message for a sumarized JIT call With the
     current settings in message management. However, the release of such a
     message is an essential element in the process of summarized JIT calls.
     Therefore kanbans that you set to EMPTY and for which the system cannot
     generate a message to a JIT call, do not receive the status EMPTY but
     ERROR. The system does not then generate a summarized JIT call.
Procedure
     Maintain message management in such a way that a message record is
     created when a JIT call is generated.
     You can check the current settings in message management in the message
     determination analysis.
so please suggest me how can i maintain message management

Did you ever get resolution for this? I have gotten this to work in our development system after a couple months of trial and error. I set up output type LPJ1 in trans OJIN3. I only set up printing, not EDI.
Program SAPPABDR
Form Routine ENTRY_MAB
Form PAB_JIT_CALL
I found these by accident. I couldn't find any SAP documentation. Anyway, you have to then set up the output condition record in PJNK1. You have to have at least the VN partner in the conddddition record.
I put together a WOrd doc that kind of explains what the tasks the users have to do to process summarized Kanban JIT. Let me know if you want me to e-mail it to you.

All:
We have configured summarized JIT calls to email to vendor which are currently sent daily by batchjob using RSNAST00.
We have another vendor that we would like to summarize only once per week. The problem is that RSNAST00 is by output type. I see there is a place in output condition record to specify "send with job and additional time specification". We select that but no further options present themselves. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think this issue can be handled through output condition.
From my point of view, we can manage such scenarion using the printing program assigned to the output type "ZMAIL"
there you can specify that forms is generated for which vendor upon which conditions.

· Developed new Report for Summarized JIT (Just In Time) calls: This report is for Delco Singapore needs all Summarized JIT calls created between selected dates to be closed. If JIT call quantity is 0 and GR quantity is also 0, then GR flag for JIT call to be checked and JIT call will not be shown open. If the JIT call quantity is greater than zero and GR for JIT call quantity is zero then JIT call quantity made as zero and GR flag for JIT Call to be checked. Ok, I was able to figure out the functions that were confusing me. For my own record and for those that do not know, I will list how to create the objects necessary to add a new report to a menu.
1-Write JSP (should be written just how Oracle writes theirs)
2-Creat function for the new JSP page as System Administrator responsibility
3-Use Sys Admin to add the function to a menu somewhere
4-Using AK Developer responsibility, create an attribute with the label of the attribute being the name of your function you created. Oracle's convention is the name of the attribute has FS in it.
5-Using AK Developer, lookup the ASF_FUNC_SEC_REG region
6-Drill down into that regions attributes
7-Add a your newly created attribute to this region
You would do all these steps for your advanced search page as well, so that in your main jsp, you can call asfPage.setAdvancedSearchPage() with the attribute name of your advanced page.
What I Still do not know is:
(1) My main page keeps coming up saying that there is no default query defined for it. How do you create a default query for a report?
(2) How to get the personalization to work.
Can anyone help?

I think it is a good feature, but I'd like to make some suggestions.
1) When the dialog pops up (like your attachment), it would be nice if I could tell it right then that I don't care about that advice. Right now you have to click on the link and then say you don't want the advice in the future. I think it is that extra step that is really annoying. I think, like most people, my instinct is to just close the dialog. Then next time I run LabVIEW I have to deal with it again. After the 5th time dismissing the damn thing I turn it off.
2) It would be nice to have an easy way to turn JIT advice off for a particular session. For example, I'm called on to help get new employees up to speed in LabVIEW. When I sit down at their computer to help design/debug things, I would really like to turn off JIT advice but just for my session. I don't want to change the other persons settings.
3) It would also be nice to be able to turn off JIT advice without going to the options.
So, I guess what I would like is this. When the JIT advice dialog comes up, instead of only having the link to the advice I'd like to see some a button that will turn off this topic in the future, a button that will turn it off for this session of LabVIEW and a button that will turn JIT off for good (with a verification dialog).
So, experience programmers with a new install will just turn it off for good the first time it pops up. Experience programmers on someone else's machine can turn it off without messing up the other persons ini file and I can leave it on when LV8 comes out and just dismiss the old advice quickly as it comes up.

Grouping Information JIT calls

Is there an automatic linking of grouping of JIT calls information from invoice or delivery?

You can display all summarized JIT calls available in the system in a list, according to specific selection criteria. In this way, you can display a complete overview of your summarized JIT calls. For example, you can display all summarized JIT calls for one plant, or alternatively, all JIT calls in one plant for a specific vendor.
When you want to display JIT calls, it does not matter whether you have already transmitted the messages for this JIT call or not.
You can make changes to the items of the summarized JIT calls, in the result list of the collective display.
Procedure
1. Choose Production -->
KANBAN --> JIT call --> Collective display.
This takes you to the screen Collective Display Summarized JIT Calls.
2. Enter the plant and further selection criteria if necessary. Ensure that the Delivery time from is always the current date.
3. Press Execute .
This takes you to the result screen Collective Display Summarized JIT Calls.
Result
Corresponding to your selection criteria, the system displays an overview of all summarized JIT calls. You can call up an individual summarized JIT call item to make changes or to simply display it, by choosing Goto --> Change or display item.

Delivery split through VLSP along with JIT Calls with AW Partner profiles

Hi SAP SD/LE Guru's,
I have one critical issue to resolve immediately in my implementation of SAP 4.6C system in multinational automotive industry. It's in the area of Delivery split along with AW - Duns number partner profile and JIT calls.
Here is the scenario:
1. JIT(Just In time) calls will be created through EDI based on the ship-to, PO Nos, Duns number.
2. The requirements will be updated in Scheduling Agreements JIT Delivery schedule.
3. Picking is done based on the requirements.
4. Packing, Deliveries and Handling units are created: Note: Each handling unit is linked to one JIT Call.
5. Based on the Shipments, Deliveries needs to be split into further sub-deliveries.
Ex. One Delivery has two HU's. This needs to be split into another delivery so that one HU need to be detached from original and attach to new delivery. At the same time corresponding JIT call also need to be detached from original delivery and attach to new delivery. This can be done through VLSP : Subsequent split(Outbound delivery). Split profile: 003 - split based on Quantities.
The issue: When executing delivery split using VLSP and split profile: 003, the system is terminating and giving short dump.
The error analysis says that AW - Duns number is creating the problem. The short dump occurs in SAPLV05I in Function module: SD_PARTNER_UPDATE.
There is an SAP note: 154766 related to this problem says that Partner header should be used only once in copy control.
But in customization of copy control from Sales order to Delivery, there is no VBPA Partner header.
I appreciate if you can provide solution for delivery split and resolve this short dump issue.

In reference to this change in the Custom Reports... Better experience when exporting data - to prevent customer confusion when exporting data from Mac computers, we have removed the export to excel option and exporting in CSV format by default.
What is the customer confusion we are trying to stop here? I've got even more confused customers at the moment because all of a sudden they can't find the export to excel option but know it exists if they log in on a PC?

Using a JIT call with stock transport scheduling agreement

Hi,
I have a requirement to send forecast schedules for a stock transport scheduling agreement from procuring plant to producing plant. Production would be done in producing plant against these forecast schedules. Producing plant would only ship against a JIT call (pull trigger) from procuring plant and not against a forecast schedule line. Is there a way in standard SAP to achieve this?

I don't think so.
You need to transfer the production forecast as demand plan in the production plant. Have a MTS planning strategy (like 10), then manufacturing is triggered by this demand plan, and goods are stocked in the production plant, waiting for the pull call from the sales plant.
Don't forget to take care of the consumption of demand with STO (I think there's a note on this).

Smartform Printing : Error in spool C call: Error from TemSe

Hi! everybody,
I am stating my problem as follows : I have to print a bar-code sticker of size 10 X 7 cms. I have worked on bar-codes before this also. This time the output from a smartform is to be given to a ZEBRA TLP 2844 printer. I initially encountered problems in printing. The data does not fit on to the page.
After a lot of searching I found that ZEBRA was a partner of SAP and that a special device type needs to be created for output from a ZEBRA printer. I did this two times. Each time my steps were as described under.
To create the device type I did the following :
1. I finally found the driver from the ZEBRA website from http://www.zebra.com/id/products/global/en/utilities/sap_device_types.UtilityFile.File.tmp/Zebra_SAP_Device_Types.zip From this I uploaded the driver for 203 DPI zebra printer with IBM code 850 font file name "YZB200.PRI" into the transaction SA38.
2. Then I created a new device ZEB10 in SPAD after assigning my format to the device.
Thereafter, I tried to print my sticker. During this procedure, on selection of the new device type, the fonts automatically changed to ARIAL in the print preview. When I give the print command (Spool request : Print immed = X, Delete after output = X & New spool request = X) it gives an error message Error in spool C call: Error from TemSe.
Since the output had not been issued, I opened the spool request to view its TemSe characteristics. Here I found

Error Creating VM on 2011 iMac - The Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service encountered an unexpected error: The remote procedure call failed. (0x800706BE).

I am running Hyper-V in Windows 8.1 on a late 2011 27 inch iMac. Whenever I try to create a virtual machine I get the error below and Windows warns that it will restart in 1 minute. I tried a clean install of Windows, but my PC still crashes ever
time I try to create a VM. I was able to successfully use Hyper-V in prior versions of Windows on this same PC. Any clue as to what is going on? A driver? Windows 8.1? Mac Hardware related?

Maybe you need to check the state of hypervisorlaunchtype .

Error message in BAPI call

I have imported RFC Interfaces from SAP system. Each interfaces doesn't have fault message.
How to get error message in BAPI call when error occurs?
I can catch an exception in BPM but I need to get error message and send it to another system.

consider using ABAP Proxies

Error message when I calling planning layout in the STS

Dear
I'm trying to use Status and Tracking System with BPS ( SEM 4.0 SP10, BW 3.5 SP14 ).
But I got some error messages when I calling planning layout in the STS screen..
I designed 2 lower unit(A,B) and 1 upper unit(C) for the test. and using Bottom-up work-flow.
I did
1. Create Planning Area in the BPS0 ( also Level, Package, Layout ..)
2. Created Web Interface in the Web Interface Builder using the upper BPS Layout .
3. Customizing STS
    - Create Sub Plan & Session
    - Asssign Hierarchy to Sub Plan
    - Determine attribute for created planning session ( Bottom-up, Auto mail )
    - Define Header characteristics for planning session to contains the planning package completely.
    - Determine Date, Person Responsible and Layout.
4. Send Start mail
5. Open STS Web Start Screen ( using B Unit responsible user .)
When he click "Open Planning" icon in the screen the following error messages were happened...
I've no idea for that because I didn't use any variables or offset settings.
I guess that comes from header settings for the planning session because when I deleted the header settings for the planning sessions, I could see the planning layout.
but I could not use lock processing in the STS.
Could you tell me what's happening to me?

Correct the character string, so that it has the correct format. A correct entry on variable and offset has the following form:

Examples:

VAR2 - 2.
Also check whether the variable, that you want to use is available in the planning area.

this seems to be a bug. The error message should include a variable name between ''. Since there is none, the function that raises the error was not called correctly.
It's not likely that this is related to STS since STS does not use variables at all. It's probably a problem with the layout. If you can't resolve it, please open a message to SAP Support.

How to create inbound JIT Call Manually?

Currently I am doing SAP JIT configuration. I have created the JIT Customer.
Now I need to get a JIT call to determine the schedule lines in the scheduling agreements. In real scenario, JIT call comes through Idoc from the customer side.
But I need to create JIT Call manually to do the configuration. So , How to create it? Is it Possible?

Use transaction JIT1
Put in the Sold to customer number and the Ship to Partner description, just like in the first section of JITV, and put a unique value for this JIT Customer is the "Ext. JIT Call No." field.
When you hit enter you will get the Call Components grid or both the Component Groups and the Call Components Grids (depending on what Maintenance Mode you selected on JITV).
Let's assume your Mtce Mode = 3 - Discrete Material / Summ JC. Therefore you only get the Call Components grid on transaction JIT1.
You need to fill in certain fields at a minimum, more depending on the JIT Call Configuration.
Bare minimum, you need:
1) Customer material or Material (if you fill in one, when the program finds the matching LZJ SA, it wil default the other)
2) External Status (ex. ECRE or CR or whatever External status you have defined and linked to the CREA action in configuration)
3) Planned Ship date or Planned Requirement date
4) Quantity
If when entering the Customer material or Material, the Sales Document and Sales Item is not populated, that means you do not have a matching LZJ type SD scheduling agreement in the system. Or the data you are entering on JIT1 does not exactly match.
The SA must be there before you can do JIT1.
The JITV entry must be there before you can set up the SA.
Hope this helps at a basic level.
You may need to enter additional data at the header of the Inbound JIT Call, or at the Call Components level, depending on a particular scenario or to correctly find the SA.
If you have EDI that has come in and you want to create a similar JIT Call. Use the [Propose JIT Call button]
On the 1st screen, enter the Sold to, Partner Desc and new JIT Call number.
When you get to the 2nd screen, click the Propose JIT Call button, and enter the JIT Call you want to copy from. You just need to enter the External Status and new Planned Date. The materials and quantities and other fields get copied from the source JIT Call.
