Error message that I'm missing iTunes.msi.

I'm trying to download the new version of iTunes and I get the error message that I'm missing iTunes.msi.  I can't uninstall the old version of iTunes; I can't install the new version. I've searched the computer for the file and it's not there.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Hello, perhaps this may help: http://blogs.isaserver.org/shinder/2006/03/05/explanation-on-the-502-error-to-de lta-and-sun-sites/ the comments have some specific references to iTunes.
The issue is that it's almost certainly a problem with your firewall/proxy and not iTunes so you might be hard-pressed to find help here as suggesting help for private LAN infrastructure is not the same as suggesting help for iTunes. Usually I'd suggest turning the proxy off and work your way backwards to find out where the problem is but I guess this isn't possible.
Anyway, have a look at the link and see if it helps.

Since you never changed the settings in the advanced section of iTunes preferecnes, you have to chech that your music is really in the location setted in the folders reported in the advanced section.  If not you have 2 ways: reset the position of this folders or in the actual disk organisation or in the pointing on the preferences.
If you press the reset button you just give to itunes its default setting as for the position of the music files: probably this will be a good choice if you have never changed any default preference.
But before I would check the folders and see if the songs are really there
In my iTune I have this, and I believe it is the default.

I cannot get i-tunes. I tried the download, but no help. I get an error message The file "iTunes library itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes. Any suggestions?

If you still have an issue you may have to see about using the iTunes version (application) included with Snow Leopard 10.6 from the installer or an another one if available online, and see if that will install.
Sometimes you may have uninstall the bits left in your system by the earlier (or later) iTunes installers; as they all leave a trace and these can stop a different version of iTunes from being installed.
Not sure if the following site/link will tell the method...

  • I can't order my book in iPhoto.  It keeps giving me an error message that I'm missing a photo that I can see plain as day.

I pushed the "Buy Book" button, and it said that I cannot order the book because I have a blank photo spot.  I clicked okay.  It took me to where it thought the blank photo was and "pointed" to it with a thing that looked like a speech bubble.  The "bubble" said to insert a photo there, but there was already a photo there.  I tried removing it and reinserting it.  I tried moving the page around.  Nothing works.  I can't submit this book, and it's done.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

generally this is caused by having a page layout for full page photo with a single full page photo in front of it -
