Error output for users

Hi.
The code that is being run is :
message 'check loads' type 'E'.
I want it to not send out the message "check loads", but to display the information in the particular table fields and also log it.  What would be the syntax to post the data for a particular field in a table?  Would you use the EXTRACT command and then the particular field names?
Also, I know that error message type 'E' logs the error, but it also stops the other jobs that are scheduled.
Would message type 'S' be suitable to log the error AND keep the other jobs that are scheduled to still run even though a previous job had an error?

Ok, maybe this might help clarify what I want:
This is the Code
message 'check loads' type 'E'.

I want the job log to display in the 'Message text' field the particular table info.
The info that I want displayed are in a particular table with these fields:
Job Name           Tivoli message             Tivoli status             Table data status
Is there a possible way to log all of this info in the job log for users to see why the job didnt finish, and also to keep the other scheduled jobs from canceling?
Thanks

  • Error in Releasing Contracts in SRM-Error Log for user WF-BATCH

    Hi,
When we are releasing contracts in SRM, an error log is being generated for a user WF-BATCH with message :
    "Recipient not found
The error ocurred by processing event RELEASED_NEWLY with GUID 4530EA86C23B007700000000B0000023 and object_id= 4400000238"(Where 4400000238 is our contract no)
Also our contract is not being transported to CCM even though all the relevant configurations have been done in XI.
Is this because of the error log?? What is the issue??
Any Useful answers would be suitably rewarded..
    Regards,
    Puneet

    Hello Puneet,
Please check whether u have released that contract or not.
if u need to release purchase order from the contract, it needs to be released first.
from ur problme statement, it seems u haven't released that contract.

  • Getting error message for "user created how tos"  CS3

I tried to create some new How Tos in CS3 and recieved the following error message when I try to open it:
"The Adobe Help application could not load a URL because the specified file could not be found. You may need to re-install the application and the help component."
If I access one of the ones created with CS2 it opens (I dragged them over from CS2, I have since removed CS2 from this computer, it's still on my laptop) I haven't tried creating them and importing them to this computer).
I'm using Microsoft Office Word 2003 to save the How Tos as html files, and notepad to edit Add_001.howto file.
Since I gotten this error, I reloaded CS3 Design Standard, it didn't fix the problem. Also I have ensured that the Add_001.howto file points to the right location (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Help\additional how to content)and is in the right format:
"John Shaws CS3" "47. A GLOSSARY OF IMAGING TERMS" 47.html (works).
"Noise Ninja" "The Thirty Second Guide to Noise Ninja" Noise Ninja 001.html (doesn't work)
The only thing new on the computer is a brand spanking new EVGA NVidia Geforce 9500GT PCI express(512 mb ddr2 dual DVI output) with the latest drivers. It replaced NVidia GeForce 6600GS and Matrox Millenium video cards (the Matrox). The new video card does not include some program that allows it to run MS-DOS programs, but I don't feel that is causing the problem.
    System Info:
    Photoshop CS3 10.0.1
Computer: Gateway DX310X with Gateway FPD1975W and FPD1730 monitors
Windows XP Media Center Edition, Service Pack 3
    Intel Pentium D proccessor
    1GB internal memory
168GB of free space on hard drive.
I hope I have given you suffiecient information to give me some possible solutions.
    Thanks
    Rick

    Mylenium
    Thanks for the assist.
It isn't a Windows Indexing Service problem.
It is an operator problem. As you pointed out the long name and spacing are the issue here.
I changed the the Add_001.howto file from:
"Noise Ninja" "The Thirty Second Guide to Noise Ninja" Noise Ninja 001.html
    to:
"Noise Ninja" "The Thirty Second Guide to Noise Ninja" NN001.html
I changed the file in the Additional How To Content folder, to match.
    And it works now.
Now that I know what was wrong with my file names, I'll be able to get the various plugin help files/documents into Photoshop so I won't have to get out of it to get help on them.
    Thanks

  • Customized Error Message for User

What's your recommendation re displaying Customized User Error msg as opposed to the generic, techy #SQLERRM# ?
How can one implement this ?
How can one capture #SQLERRM# (or whatever), evaluate the ORA number and display a message grandmom can understand ?
Please give an example if you can in the context of DELETE a record on P301 "Product Information" of the "Sample App"
    Thanks

short of coding the dml procs yourself and trapping those error messages that way, i don't think we offer you a good way currently to trap and translate error messages coming out of our automatic DML processes. i've just logged the enhancement request to facilitate this, but for now i'm pretty sure you'd have to code that dml and trap your errs yourself.

  • SBL-DAT-00398 error msg for User Field Validation

    Hi All,
I have created the following field validation on the User field "Division": Len([<Division>])>0 AND InStr([<ltValidation_OU_ITAG>],[<Division>])>0, As the "Division" field is free text, the porpuse of the validation is to prevent the user from entering in this field any value that is diffrent from the ones available in the custom field "Validation OU" via the User Owner Page Layout. The validation works OK for Admin Role via the User Admin Page Layout but a SBL-DAT-00398 error msg stating " Field '<Division>' does not exist in definition for business component 'Occam Current Employee' " appears when users with other roles are trying to update this field via the User Owner Page Layout.
I have contacted OD Customer support and they validated this in several POD saying this "is most likely a defect in the application" and a CR will be submitted to dev team to fix it sometime in the future.
I am wondering though if support isn't making life easy here stating the above...:
    1. Anyone encountered this error before? (couldn't find any trace for this on My Oracle Support)
    2. Anyone aware of field validation limitations for the 'User' entity?
    3. Workaround suggestions are welcomed
    10X for you help!
    Alex.

Error(), fatal(), info() and warn() issue FacesMessages that get picked up by the MessageGroup component.
By adding in the uicomponent you can target the facesMessage so that it gets picked up by the Message component associated with the field causing the error.
But, to get the label to show the error as well, you need to throw a validationError. See this tutorial for more informaiton:

  • Error message for Users

    Hello all,
My plan is to perform four hardware checks prior to the installation of some softare - the checks are:
OS is at least Windows 7
HDD Freespace is not less than 6.0 GB
    CPU is greater 4.00Ghz
RAM is not less than 2.0 GB
Scripting the above is pretty easy...but what I now want to do is capture any of the failed checks and report them to the user.
E.g. one computer might fail HDD and RAM checks but another system may only fail on RAM - how can I dynamically build up a message to inform the user of the specific issue with their machine?
It would be pretty easy to just pop-up some info to the user stating that their machine doesnt meet the minimum specs but I'd rather tell them more specifically what the issue is so the service desk don't have to connect and figure out which check
or checks have failed....hope this makes sense?
    Thanks,
    C

multiple ways of handling this. one would be to define variables you set to true or false for the different conditions. after the checks, you build your error string depending on which variables are true or false and show it to the user.
    pseudo code like:
$errorMessage = "Your system doen't meet the following minimum requirements: "
    if($yourRamCheck -eq $true)
    $errorMessage = $errorMessage + "System RAM below requirements"

i wanted to find out how I to create a coldfusion code similar to my asp code. i'm trying to learn coldfusion.
This code traps the error and emails it to me, while showing the user a "friendly message"

  • Udev error, warning for users...

    I added this rule:
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ud … 3B_ntfs-3g
to my config.  After I did this, I rebooted and when it got to the udev section, my PC just turned off.  I had to reboot, go to fallback mode and wait until it finished searching udev devices and then went to telling me that sda1 and sda4 cannot be mounted.  Then the CTL-D or enter password thing came up. I entered my password.  After I removed the rule I was able to boot successfully.  Installed devmon and everything is fine without the rule.
Just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue and if I should maybe add this to the wiki as a warning.

It's not really surprising, given that the rule is vague enough to catch and try to mount any block device. You can modify the rule to...
    - not catch sda (e.g. KERNEL!=sd[b-z])
    or...
    - abort if the device doesn't match ENV{ID_BUS}=="usb"

  • Error output to 'write to spreadsheet'

    Hi
I dont know, whether someone talked about this earlier.

    > that would make people think it works with Excel "spreadsheets".
actually, tab-delimited text files work fine with excel (of course there are some exceptions )
I would rather have this VI removed from the palettes and marked it as deprecated since it does not conform to LV style-guides (no error in/out) any more. I also guess that the pop-up dialog might block other LV threads which will be a serious issue if you have some data logging running. (I can find/build/provide several nice examples where a pop-up VI set to dialog appearance - and also user interaction on GUI elements - can block other loops running in LV)
Thus, I never use the pre-programmed write/read spreadsheet VIs, I always write my own version - usually takes 2-3 LV primitives + a few constants ...
    just my 2 cents

  • Error BACKINT for Oracle Connection

    hi @ maxdb gurus...
i have a problem backing up my maxdb 7.6.0.033 (serving for a mysap.erp2005 on aix 5.3) using the backint mechanism.
-> backup media created: two pipes and one parallel medium containing these pipes
    -> bsi.env has been created
    -> backint4sapdb.sar contains
4 staging areas each with 4096 MB
       files per backint call 2
-> maxdb is about 57 gb perm. data area (and 6 gb temp.)
i use the backup wizard (dbmgui) to invoke a complete data backup which starts (pipes are created in the file system) and runs until approx. 4 gb...then the backup terminates with error "-24920 backup operation was unsuccesful. The database request failed with error -8020"
what might be the problem? are the staging areas too small? is says that when using only one stage area it must hold the complete database...can i then conclude that 4 staging areas must hold the database as well - meaning they must be around 15 gb each?
    GreetZ, AH

yup...but that also means that the sum of the staging areas need as much space as the database ie. around 70 gigs netto! the staging files will be filled and thus grow until the defined size, meaning that the file system(s) need to be big enough!
everything works fine until the stage files are filled (up to the defined size) and then stops...when i change the sizes of the staging areas i can reproduce the error!
i compared the tsm implementation of that system with another system (live cache...kind of small regarding db size...) and found nothing serious...

  • Estreamer generates error messages for "Failed to deserialize RUA Event"

Estreamer service on 3D System generates the following error messages for user activity data:
EventStreamer child(qradar.as.local):ConnectionHandler [ERROR] Failed to deserialize RUA Event 1004:1

This is a known issue. This issue is fixed on software version 5.2.0.3. Upgrading your 3D System to latest software version will fix this issue.
Note:  Once the 5.2.0.3 patch is installed, you may still receive the RUA Deserialize error if the Defense Center contains older unified files prior to the 5.2.0.3 patch.  Contact Technical Support for assistance in removing the older unified files.

  • No rows will be sent to error output(s). Configure error or truncation dispositions to redirect rows...

We are trying to pump 3rd party data into our application. We have the following steps defined...
Excel Source of the 3rd Party delivered spreadsheet
Data Conversion of some Date data columns
OLE DB Destination of the raw 3rd party data that we want to store for reference and auditing purposes
Now we want to perform some edits and data cleansing of the 3rd party data. The first thing I tried was a Lookup to try and see if we can match the 3rd party data to our [MEMBER] Table. When I try flowing and connecting the
OLE DB Destination task to the Lookup task, I get a big fat warning...
No rows will be sent to error output(s). Configure error or truncation dispositions to redirect rows...
And the connection error appears in red and is labeled...
    OLE DB Destination Error Output
Am I missing a step here? Do I need to clean this up or can I simply ignore it? Do I need to OLE DB Source the data before I attempt querying our database which is a different SQL Server Database than the Database we actually pump the 3rd party data into?
Thanks for your review and am hopeful for a quick reply.

    Hi ITBobbyP,
If I understand correctly, you are connecting the OLE DB Destination component to a Lookup Transformation with red arrow. The connection error appears in red and is labeled “OLE DB Destination Error Output”. And when you execute the package, you also get
the warning message “No rows will be sent to error output(s). Configure error or truncation dispositions to redirect rows...”.
Please note that we can only set error output for the OLE DB Destination component, so the connection between OLE DB Destination component and Lookup Transformation is red arrow with label “OLE DB Destination Error Output”. This is a normal style.
Besides, by default, SSIS will "Fail component" on an error or truncation issue. We must tell SSIS that you do not want to fail the package, you want to "Redirect Row" which will allow the flow to continue down the red arrow.  So
to remove the warning message, please refer to the following setting:
Edit the OLE DB Destination component
Go to the Error Output tab
Change the error redirect to Redirect Output.
