  • In your experience what are the most common errors in binding files when deploying?

As the title suggest I'm interested in discussing the most common errors in binding files when deploying.
Reason for this is that I'm currently working on a Powershell script that can parse a binding file and create a reader friendly report (rtf format) with various information.
But the main purpose for this script is to find common errors in the binding file used. And so far these are the ones I've thought of:
    - Tracking enabled for either services or the pipelines they are using (if it's a binding meant for Prod).
    - Orchestrations logical ports not having any ports bound to them.
    - URI containing certain words that's not ok. For example if a binding meant for Prod contains the word "test" anywhere in the URI then that should be reported in the created rtf report. This also applies vice versa.
So now I need your help with coming up with more ideas on common errors that need to be looked after and reported on if found!
Additional features the report should contain:
    - Listing the details of each orchestration, send port, receive port along with their associated receive location(s). To better understand and get a quick overview on exactly what settings are planned to be deployed. Especially the "TransportTypeData"
section which otherwise can be quite tedious to read.
    - List each unique host instance, so that I can easier see directly which ones might need a restart after an import.
I'd appreciate if you can come up with any more features that should be included in this script.
    /Christian @ IntegrationAdmin.com

Filter on send port not on the same line as the Filter tag.
This one is a nice one, I ran into it several times. Mostly after copy/paste of a port definition for a binding file, because Visual Studio is formatting after paste the XML in a way the filter will get invalid. This leads to a cryptic error
    during importing the binding.

  • OAF error java.lang.IllegalAccessError when deployed to R12 instance

    Hi All,
I am retrofitting OAF Application from 9.0.3 to 10.1.3.3.0. There are two external jar files used in it ( commons-logging.jar ; commons-jexl-1.1.jar ) . It works fine when launched with JDEV after I placed both the jar files in jdevbin/j2ee/home/applib directory. But when I deploy the application to Oracle Application instance R12.1.3, it throws the following error.

It seems that application is not able to recognize the jar files. Should I place these files in a particular directory in UNIX Box ?? I have extracted the jar one by one in the $JAVA_TOP. Also I have tried placing the jar files in $COMMON_TOP/java/lib directory.
Any pointers to solve this issue would be very helpful.
    Thanks in advance,
    Abhishek

    Hi,
This issue was occurring because I was using external jar files in my Apps version 12.1.3 . And the external jar file may not be compatible with the latest version of Apps.
So I removed the dependency of external jar files from my application and I coded the necessary functionality in my OAF Application itself. I did not get any proper solution for it.
May be you can look forward to remove the dependency if possible and use it for your application by writing your own piece of code.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

  • GetEntityListXML Error Code: 1000: 5 when deploying ESB project?

    I am getting:
    GetEntityListXML
    error code: 1000 : 5
    summary: -
    Fix: Contact Oracle Support
when I try to deploy my ESB project. It has worked before.
    Has anyone seen anything similar?
    Thanks,

This is generally happen if your esb repository is not available.
Please check if you esb server is started properly without any exceptions etc.

  • OWB 10.1.0.4.0 deployment results in RPE-01011

We are deploying the same project, developed in OWB version 10.1.0.4.0, to both a test and production server. Since a reorganisation of those servers we've been unable to deploy mappings to the production site, due to an apparent version discrepancy:
RPE-01011: Cannot deploy to target database location because it does not have a compatible version. On the test site we have no problems, even though both databases are identical.
In the design repository, the module has system type (on the data target rider in the properties window) set to "Oracle Database 8i/9i/10g". For the same module, the pl/sql generation mode in the generation preferences is configured for "Oracle10g".
    Version information of the databases:
    Test:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bi
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.5.0 - Production
    CORE 10.2.0.5.0 Production
TNS for HPUX: Version 10.2.0.5.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.5.0 - ProductionProduction:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bi
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.5.0 - Production
    CORE 10.2.0.5.0 Production
TNS for HPUX: Version 10.2.0.5.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.5.0 - ProductionDoes anyone have an idea about what else can be wrong here? The versions are identical, yet OWB does not seem to recognise it as such...

  • "Error Dialog: The server could not be contacted " when deploying web srvc

I have the J2EE 1.4 and Application Server 8 Q1 installed under windows. I have used all of the defaults on the install. The admin port is 4848. I want to install a web service on the http listener at 3345 (8080 was used and 3345 was substituted at installation time). I am getting the error from the deploytool when deploying the example web service "Hello". I am sure that the server is running and that the userid and password are the correct (I can log into the admin console with them). I've seen this error in other posts, but no solution. Does anyone have a solution to this???
    Thanks in advance : )

yep, i get d same error on that, in fact, port 8000 is d default web service port, if i deploy the application via invalid port (eg. 4848 or 1234), i will get an error, say "cannot obtain a connected depolyment manager". but if i deploy that via 8000 (or 9191, it is also avaliable, casue i can connect to http://localhost:9191/ as default j2ee home page as well), i will get the error " the server could not be contected", and i m definitely sure that i can connect to console via 8000 and j2ee server is running by typing "j2ee -verbose" in command line.

  • RPE-01011 target location incompatible / repository and target are same 11g

I got systematically error RPE-01011 signaling my target location is incompatible. My repository and my target are the same instance and i didn't change anything in the settings. The instance is an 11g database. I don't understand what the problem is. All scripts are execting correctly when i install then manually.

I am having the same problem trying to deploy objects created as per Oracle by Example: Oracle Warehouse Builder 11g. The database version is 11g Release 11.1.0.6.0 and all locations have 11.1 version. This is the second time I am running this tutorial, this time I modified the setup scripts to replace 10.2 by 11.1 but after rerunning all previous tutorials I got the same error.

If you're using OC4J standalone, use the latest available OC4J, 10.1.3.3.
If you're using a manage OC4J, ie. Application Server, upgrade to the latest available version and upgrade your JDK. The provided JDK might be outdated.

  • RPE-02150: Failed to connect with user... when deploying location

    Hello.
I've created cube and 3 dimentions in OWB 10.2, then derived them to make business definition for Discoverer 10.1.
When I try to deploy this business definition, I get error "RPE-02150: Failed to connect with user xxx, password ***, connection null. Disco export file 5039.eex written to directory owb/deployed_files." The error appears at deploying location step. What feature is that?
    Thanks,
    Evgeni

    Hi,
same situation, same behaviour. I've seen, that the location for the discoverer could only be of type 10.1 database in the lov of the location form. But the database is 10.2. Perhaps that might be the problem.
Do you have any other suggestions?
    Ciao Stephan

  • KM Scheduler error when deploying

    Hi all,
Can any one guide me on this ? I have created a KM scheduler and have added some customized code in it, but when I deploy the project all I am getting is an error message "Build on the project failed". Could anyone tell me the cause of this?

    Hello,
Did you build the project before deploying ?
Are you getting this error at the time of deployment or at the time of building the project.Make sure that the build is successfull before the deployment.
    Regards,
    Vinod

Do you have antiVirus installed on the sharepoint servers?
These folders may have to be excluded from antivirus scanning when you use file-level antivirus software in SharePoint. If these folders are not excluded, you may see unexpected behavior. For example, you may receive "access denied" error messages when files
    are uploaded.
Please follow this KB and exclude the folders from Scanning.

Yes, the problem is that the ejb-jar must contain at least one ejb component. It's a common misconception that Java Persistence API Entity classes are ejb components but they are NOT. The Java Persistence API was developed within the EJB 3.0 JSR and works very well with EJB but the entity classes themselves are not full-fledged ejb components.

  • RTC-5161 Error when deploying a MAP

    Hello,
I recently upgraded OWB 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.3 and within the Design Center, I receive error RTC-5161 when deploying a MAPPING. My process flows and all other objects deploy successfully but the MAPPING pops up the RTC-5161 error
Here is how I went about my upgrade, can anyone tell me if I am missing something?
-Installed OWB 11.2.0.3 on a new server, configured Workspaces, workflow workspace user
-Exported an OWB 11.1.0.7 project MDL and imported into the 11.2.0.3 and the Design Center automatically UPGRADED my project.
    -Registered all locations
-Revalidated all locations within the ROPOSITORY BROWSER(the statuses were previously showing UNKNOWN, now they are all valid)
I need help PLEASE, if anyone could point me to something I am overlooking....
AGAIN, ONLY the MAPPING will not deploy, but the Process Flows generates and deploys with no issues.
I tried running the DEPLOYMENT of the Project from the command line(OMBPLUS), here is the error generated:
    Processing module LOCATIONS ...
    Deploying module name: FFL_DL_BMFENT_FFM_BMFENT
    module name is FFL_DL_BMFENT_FFM_BMFENT
    Deploying module name: DBL_EFDS_DL_BMFENT_DBM_TGT_EFD
    module name is DBL_EFDS_DL_BMFENT_DBM_TGT_EFD
    Deploying ... CONNECTOR : DBL_EFDS_DL_BMFENT_DBM_TGT_EFD/CONN_FFL_DL_BMFENT_FFM_BMFENT
Error deploy drop action plan for DBL_EFDS_DL_BMFENT_DBM_TGT_EFD/CONN_FFL_DL_BMFENT_FFM_BMFENT, err msg= "OMB05602: An error occurred during deployment: DeploymentContextImpl.generate WBGeneratedObject[] is null or length 0 for CONN_FFL_DL_BMFENT_FFM_BMFENT"
    Error deploy LOCATIONS : CONNECTOR

Fixing this actually entailed going through the repository browser and checking the first optional feature during the configuration of the workspaces etc
    thanks for all your help!
Now I have another issue with synchronization:
I noticed that doing an inbound synching of my staging table using replace option and by object name, the preview window that pops up shows my objects to be updated not matching one to one.
Has anyone ran into something like this?
The synchronization preview shows source to target columns NOT MATCHING one to one.....
