Error running dbPreferenceStore in JDeveloper extended OC4J

Hi,
I am trying to run dbPreferenceStore packed in jpdk.ear (comes with JDeveloper 10.1.3.4).
- First I created JPDK_PREFERENCE_STORE2 table in olite as instruted in the jpdk document "installing.db.preference.store.v2.html".
- Next I created a native datasource as
<native-data-source name="prefStore1" data-source-class="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource" jndi-name="jdbc/PooledConnection" user="system" password="manager" url="jdbc:[email protected]:1531:orabpel"/>
- Then I edit jdev.conf for Olite lib and Native code path (AddNativeCodePath, AddJavaLibFile).
When I accessed the dbref using url as http://localhost:6688/jpdk/providers/dbpref
it says "Provider Test Page: Validation Unsuccessful" and error as "Can't connect to database" "Invalid Oracle URL specified".
data-sources.xml I edited is located @ JDeveloper10134\jdev\extensions\oracle.adfp.seededoc4j.10.1.3\j2ee\home\config\data-sources.xml
I want to implement some pdk portlet with database CRUD operations.
Please help me to solve this.. or Guide me to create such pdk java portlet.

I'm not sure that this version of JDeveloper is supported to run with JDK 7.
The error seems to indicate that JDeveloper is trying to use JDK 7 to start the integrated WebLogic server - you'll need to either have JDK 6 first in the path or set the entry correctly in the WebLogic startup scripts.
My suggestion - re-install JDeveloper and when you select a JDK to use point to a JDK 6
