Error: Timeout occurred while retrieving page meta data.
Hi,
I have 10.1.2.0.0 installed. I log into portal and time to time I keep getting the following error:
Error: Timeout occurred while retrieving page meta data.
Any ideas what might be the cause. It may work ok for sometime but all of a sudden I keep getting the above error.
Thanks
I could be the RAC, and have failovers etc. as usually this is associated with a performance issue or timeout... There should be something in the logs.
What I recommend you is that you log a Service Request into Support... and supply the PDA (Metalink Note:169490.1).
I hope it helps...
Cheers,
Pedro.

Error: Timeout occurred whilst retrieving page meta data.????
Hi,
I sucessfully enabled SSL on PORTAL 3.0.9.8.0 but I could only use it inside our firewall. This is because I had my servername setup to be "portal" instead of a valid DNS name like "portal.mycomp.com".
I have changes my servername from "portal" to "portal.mycomp.com" in all the conf. files that I know of and it still doesn't work. The funny thing is that I can access the single-sign-on server but not portal. For example, #1 of the following doesn't work but #2 works.
#1: https://portal.mycomp.com/pls/portal30
#2: https://portal.mycomp.com/pls/portal30_sso
This is the error msg I got from my browser when I try to go to #1 ---> "Error: Timeout occurred whilst retrieving page meta data."
I had also made sure that I didn't have any typo when I executed the ssodatan script. The following is how I executed my ssodatan script:
ssodatan -w https://portal.mycomp.com/pls/portal30/ -l https://portal.mycomp.com/pls/portal30_sso/ -s portal30 -o portal30_sso -c portal
*note: "portal" is my connect string.
Does anyone have any idea what my problem would be?
Yes, I have also re-requested a new SSL Certificate from Varisign with the new servername "portal.mycomp.com" and installed it properly.
Thanks in advance,
Victoria.Victoria,
Did you find a solution to this ?
We are running Oracle Portal 3.0.9.8.1 on Solaris and are having
the same problem. Everything works okay through http but with
https:
1. https://<domain name>/pls/portal30
we get the error "Error: Timeout occurred whilst retrieving page
meta data."
2. https://<domain name>/pls/portal30_sso - works okay
3. https://<domain name>/test.jsp - works okay
Thanks
Simon. -
SSL. Error: Timeout occurred whilst retrieving page meta data
Hi!
I am configuring oracle 9iAS 1.0.2.2a Portal to enable SSL and I did
everything that was said at http://igloo.its.unimelb.edu.au/Webmail/tips/msg00569.html
zone.properties

servlet.page.initArgs=usePort=7778

cgi_env_list = REQUEST_PROTOCOL=HTTPS,SERVER_PORT=4443
[DAD_portal30_sso]

This was my ssodatan
ssodatan -w https://me.me.me:4443/pls/portal30/ -l
https://me.me.me:4443/pls/portal30_sso/ -s portal30 -o portal30_sso
But when I access https://me.me.me:4443/pls/portal30/ I get
Error: Timeout occurred whilst retrieving page meta data
However, https://me.me.me:4443/pls/portal30_sso/ is working fine!
One more thing. I can access my login server at
http://me.me.me:7778/pls/portal30/ and when it prompts for username and password
it uses https.

An Error was encountered while retrieving page content
Hi guys,
I have a user that is having an issue when trying to add a header & footer and is receiving "an error was encountered while retieving page content" error. Our firm has acrobat 9.0 pro on windows xp. The file is located on a network share and even if i copy this file to my desktop it gives me this error. Let me know if you guys need more information.
Thanks.Checking the network share is always a good starting point. Acrobat has had problems with some of these over the years. I would generally recommend working locally. However, that does not appear to be the current problem. Since you mentioned AA9.0, my first recommendation is to update AA which is currently at 9.4.4 version. That may solve the problem, partiuclarly if you are using 9.0. The updates may be done from the help menu (you will likely see several. The should always be installed in order). The help menu links generally give you cummulative updates. You can also download them from Adobe.com>downloads and select the updates in the right field near the top. You can then search for the Acrobat Windows updates. You have to generally install ALL of them that are listed in order. They generally are not cummulative. I am guessing the updates may fix the problem.

I have set-up an ECT in SPD2013 on SP2013. It is a SQL Data source called ProjectWebApp. I have BCS/SSS set-up. I can create an ECT OK in SPD. I can add the ECT to a custom list.
The problem is when I add a new item in the list the following error message appears in red
An error occurred while retrieving data from ProjectWebApp. Administrators, see the server log for more information
I cannot filter or return any results. There is data in the DB.
Another test I do is to try and create a new App/List using the "External List" template. When
I select the ECT a red message appears "External Content Types are not available". which is odd since I can add an ECT to a list as mentioned above.
Any ideas?

An error occured while retrieving policy for this computer 0x80092004
Good morning!
I have recently been having some issues getting my OSD working correctly.
It all started after the server which houses DPM and SCCM was refusing to start the SQL service because of an invalid certificate that was missing the private key. After I finally removed the key and all the registry value for it in SQL server, I could finally
fire up SQL server again.
However, since then, I am unable to perform an OSD and I have been troubleshooting this issue for many weeks now.
I have low level knowledge of SCCM 2012 R2, but I did set this box up myself and had all aspects (OSD, Software deployment, driver deployment etc) working perfectly fine in native mode and was just about ready to start deploying images out when SQL
died.
I am still able to push out the client in native mode perfectly fine, I just can't deploy an OS task sequence.
When I pxe boot the client, it boots fine and then prompts for the admin password, as soon as I enter the admin password, it fails with "An error occured while retrieving policy for this computer 0x80092004".

I am stumped with this issue. As I said, this is new to me, but I have so far been able to set it all up to a working state, up until this SQL issue occurred.
I look forward to your responses.
Cheers,
Kyle.Untick the "Use PKI Client Certificate when available" in the Site Properties. I would create a self-signed certificate for the DP. Don't forget to Update DP for all your boot images when you are finished.

I would appreciate any assitance you guys can offer on this.
MicmaherHi! I know this is old stuff but happened to me today! so I post my fix here in case anyone gets the same error:
PXE boots, but after you enter the password
to get the list of task sequences, you get this error and the PC reboots:
"80070057 pxe error retrieving policy" or something similar.
If you press F8, you can see the log in X:\Windows\Temp\SMSTsLog.
If you read the log, you will find the error as:
“failed to send ddr”.
This has to do with PXE Certificate. In this case,
the certificate was expired, so I had to change the date of expiration. This is done in the properties of the PXE service point at the SCCM Server.

Jose Angel Rivera
Awesome, this worked for me. Thanks a bunch! -
Situation is this.. was using 8.1.6 EE and Oracle Portal.. was able to get the Oracle Portal page up and after a while the application died.. this happened numerous times. Found in one of these forums that a bug existed (UTL_HTTP) and recommended going to 8.1.7 EE because of a patch. I migrated my 8.1.6 EE to 8.1.7 EE(made sure procedures & packages were valid). I'm able to bring up the Oracle Portal page but when I go to login I get this:
Error: You cannot login because an error occurred while retrieving the login URL. (WWC-41441)
Thoughts?Hi,
I ran ssodatan again and got the following error:
ERROR: Setting Login Server Partner App
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called
I then found out that the wwsec_sso_enabler_private in the SSO
schema is invalid and this was causing the above error. I tried
recompiling the package but got the following error:
Errors for PACKAGE BODY WWSEC_SSO_ENABLER_PRIVATE:

The same package in the Portal schema is valid. Will an
export of this package from a working instance and an import into
the above instance solve this problem?
Thanks and Regards,

What I've done for troubleshooting tips so far.
Deleted the Machines I'm trying to image
Re-created all the Task sequences
Disabled PXE, rebooted the machine and after 45minutes enabled PXE again.
I've checked the certificates its all unblocked.
is there anything?Hopefully this other thread helps you:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/631086ac-3b59-4437-a6af-0f1a834edcc2/problems-with-pxe-booted-pe-environment?forum=configmgrosd
The marked answer in this thread is saying check the certificates? Would this be under Administration ->Security-> Certificates? I haven't tried re-installing the MP yet I'll give it a shot -

robyavthis is a production database runing in windows platform and there is no backup
what should iWell first of all you should stop using EXP for backups, it's quite unsuitable, and start using RMAN instead. Find out more.
If you have a Metalink account you shoudl read Note:298968.1. But teh headline is there is a bug in 10gR1 which is fixed in 10gR2. This may not help you much. The workaround is to try running the export again later, which may not be any more helpful.

Hello All,
We are using a two tier architecture.
Our Corp server calls the refinery server.
Our CORP MII server uses user id abc_user to connect to the refinery data server.
The user id abc_user has the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role.
The data server also has the checkbox for allow dynamic query enabled.
But we are still getting the following error
Error has occurred while processing data stream
Dynamic Query role is not assigned to the Data Server; Use query template
Once we add the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role to the data server everything works fine. Is this feature by design ?
Thanks,
KiranThanks Anushree !!
I thought that just adding the role to the user and enabling the dynamic query checkbox on the data server should work.
But we even needed to add the role to the data server.
Thanks,
Kiran -

Hello,
I am using the Power BI for Office 365, and I have published several Excel 2013 workbooks having Power Pivot Data Models.
I have a problem on some of the workbooks, once a slicer is selected, I get the error: "An error occurred while working on the Data Model in the workbook" and the slicers do not affect the charts.
Some workbooks work perfectly fine. I am using the same user for all workbooks when creating and publishing. I tried with small workbooks less than < 10 MB size and larger workbooks > 10 MB. There is no rule, some workbooks larger than 10 MB work perfectly
with the slicers effecting the charts, and some don't. Similarly for smaller size.
Any ideas of how I can debug the cause of the issue?
Appreciate any feedback,
Thanks,
GraceHi Grace,
I assume that the experience in the Excel client is working fine, right?
Are you getting a correlation id with the error?
Please send us a bit more information / samples to reproduce over email to
this address.
thanks,
Guy

An error occured while trying to read data
Hi RoboHelpers,
While opening my main project today (large project w/ thousands of topics) my project froze twice and wasn't responding, so I forced it to close via Task Manager and deleted the CPD file, thinking it was the culprit.
I then got this error when I tried to reopen the .XJP file:
"An error occurred while trying to read data from
<D:\Hg\PcdmisQA\Pcdlrn\CoreHelp\13_hardware_topics\13_hardware_topics.fpj><1>."
I clicked OK to get past this error, and now my htms are not appearing inside the Topic List for 13_hardware_topics and the TOC links show that the topics don't exist. But the .htms do exist inside the actual directory in Windows.
I think I can fix this by importing the .htms inside 13_hardware_topics, but I'm not sure why it happened in the first place. Is there a way to just fix the .fjp file instead--if this is indeed the problem?
My 13_hardware_topics.fjp structure looks like this (sorry for the post length):
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

An error occurred while trying to save data to rhbag.apj
Opening a RoboHelp 8 project in new RoboHelp 11 and receive the following error:
An error occurred while trying to save data to rhbag.apj...
I can see this file in the project but many of my baggage files (.pdfs) are missing and I am not able to add them back into the project. I select New Baggage file and select the file to add, however the file is not added and no other error is received.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Is the file writable or set to read only?
