ERROR: Unable to find AL_JobService.pid file in $LINK DIR/bin directory

Hi,
We have a recent issue and could not find an appropiate reason, we have been running jobs in the linux server for almost 5 months now and we never had an issue.
Today the jobs wouldnt start - a blank trace log so we decided to check the DS job server and found it to be running fine. When i try to stop the job server it shows this error
Job Service Executable Path                           Status
/opt/apps/rapidmart/businessobjects/dataservices/bin/AL_JobService      Running
s: Start Job Service       o: Stop Job Service       q: Quit
Enter Option: o
Waiting for Job Service to terminate. This will take several seconds.
Please Wait!!!
ERROR: Unable to find AL_JobService.pid file in $LINK_DIR/bin directory.
Please help
Thanks
AJ

Hi Manoj,
I have found your reply very helpful. Thanks for this.
I was also experiencing the same error. While stopping the Job server I have interrupted it by control +c. so I was getting the same error. "ERROR: Unable to find AL_JobService.pid file in $LINK_DIR/bin directory"
Solution:-
First I have executed the command you shared to get the PID of AL_JobService
ps -aef | grep -i al_job
then I have executed another command to kill all the running instances of AL_Job
kill -15 <pid of AL_JobService.exe>
Then used regular command of Job Server utility.
./svrcfg
It worked.

  • "Unable to find Pdf Resource files"

I am getting an error message on start up in Windows XP after a recent update. On start up I get the mesaage "Unable to find Pdf Resource files" C:\Documents and Settings\......\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings\*.Joboptions
Do you want to run the installer in repair mode.
I have seen several fixes for similar problems but nothing relating to the error occurring at start up.
I would be grateful if you could suggest a solution. I have reinstalled Adobe Pro V8 and the error is still there

In the default settings, it shows "Standard". Try going to the menu above labelled settings and you will likely see an edit options selection. See if you can edit the selection. You can also try selecting other settings with the arrow at the right side of the settings selection (It is a select box) to see if other files are available. You should also be able to see the settings file in the printer properties and be able to edit it also. Trying these games may home in on the problem, particularly if it indicates you do not have access.
Just as a check, open an application that you might like to print to PDF. Then go to the print menu and select print-to-file with the Adobe PDF printer. Once you have that file printed, open it in Distiller and see if you get the proper processing. This manual process is the most basic of the PDF creation processes in Acrobat. All of the other processes build on it. Thus we are checking basic functionality to be sure I did not miss something as we went along.
If the print-to-file works out to give you a PDF, then try printing to the printer without that option selected and hopefully the PDF is created directly (no manual step with Distiller). Each of the next steps would go up the chain in the checkout.

  • [SOLVED] - Arch Boot Error: Unable to find Root Device /dev/sdb1

I had Arch running perfectly using /dev/sdb1 (versus Disk Label or UUID) and decided to do a update.  After the Update I can't boot
to a running system, and I get this error message:
ERROR: Unable to find root device /dev/sdb1
You are being dropped into a recovery shell.
Is there an easy way to convert to UUID or Disk Label since the latest Upgrade doesn't allow me to continue to use /dev/sdb1 ??
I'd prefer not to have to rebuild both USB Flash Drives to get functional systems.
    Any Help is greatly appreciated.
    Suggestions?

  • Debugging in JDev91, "Error: Unable to find fdebug.exe"

    Hi,
I'm using JDev9i in Windows2000. When I try to debug my software JDev9i says; "Error: Unable to find fdebug.exe".
I have checked all security settings of my folders, (as someone proposed here to some one else, who had problem which was also linked somehow to fdebug.exe -file), but security settings were ok.
Can someone help me somehow ?
    .JKa.

have you checked that fdebug.exe is on your system?
    It should be in <jdevroot>\jdk\jre\bin

This table is used for communication with the
worker processes, and if it does not exist, it
means that the workers are not running, because

    How can this be resolved?
Can I just re-run the patch as if it runs newly by ignoring the previous session of adpatch when asked the continuation of the previous session at the adpatch?
    Will this help?
Thanks as always for the help.

  • Graphics Error: Unable to find suitable font!

I am trying to use the program rasmol (that displays molecules), and I get the error:
Graphics Error: Unable to find suitable font!
    I installed rasmol by
    pacman -Sy rasmol
    today for version 2.7.3-2
also did I do a system upgrade today:
    pacman -Suy
the section "Files" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf contains:
           ModulePath   "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
            RgbPath      "/usr/share/X11/rgb"
            FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/misc"
            FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi"
            FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi"
            FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/TTF"
            FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/Type1"
            FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/cyrillic"
            FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/encodings"
            FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/util"
I have added all directories in /usr/share/fonts to be sure and restarted X.
I tried installing all font packages that I could find, but the error is still the same:
    #pacman -Q | grep font
    font-bh-ttf 1.0.0-2
    fontcacheproto 0.1.2-1
    fontconfig 2.3.2-6
    fontsproto 2.0.2-1
    gsfonts 8.11-3
    libfontenc 1.0.2-1
    libxfont 1.1.0-1
    libxfontcache 1.0.2-1
    ttf-ms-fonts 1.3-8
    xorg-font-utils 1.0.1-1
    xorg-fonts-alias 1.0.1-1
    xorg-fonts-encodings 1.0.0-1
    xorg-fonts-misc 1.0.0-2
    #pacman -Q | grep ttf
    font-bh-ttf 1.0.0-2
    sdl_ttf 2.0.8-1
    ttf-bitstream-vera 1.10-4
    ttf-cheapskate 2.0-4
    ttf-isabella 1.003-2
    ttf-junicode 0.6.5pre20051126-2
    ttf-ms-fonts 1.3-8
I removed the fonts.dir and fonts.scale in /usr/share/fonts and /usr/share/fonts/TTF and did mkfontscale and mkfontdir
    to replace them.
restarting X and retrying to run rasmol still gives the same error.
I have tried to search google for the error message but all I could find was the source code that probably produced the message:
    http://www.bernstein-plus-sons.com/soft … c/x11win.c
and some redhat binary file that gives some fonts seemingly along with the error message:
    http://www.bernstein-plus-sons.com/cgi- … smol_16BIT
    ...Options^@Colours^@Display^@File^@Graphics Error: %s!^@-*-*-bold-o-normal-*-14-*^@-*-serf-bold-o-normal-*-14-*^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@-*-helvetica-bold-o-normal-*-14-*^@Unable to find suitable font^@%x %s^@Comm....
which might be an indication for which fonts I need.
Could anyone please give me some assistance to get the program working,
perhaps by giving advise on how to install the abovementioned fonts
or anything else that I have failed to do.
I would really appreciate it , thanx

    Hey,
i too get the same error that no suitable fonts could be found. I installed all the fonts mentioned in this thread. My Section "Files" looks like this:
    Section "Files"
    RgbPath "/usr/share/X11/rgb"
    ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/misc"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/TTF"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/Type1"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/artwiz-fonts"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/speedo"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/cyrillic"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/encodings"
    FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/util
    EndSection
Still the error occurs. Does somebody know how to fix this?
    greetings koelle

  • Error: Unable to find all subVIs from saved VIs.

    TestStand 2010 SP1, LabVIEW 2011, WinXP
Trying to build a deployment in TestStand.
During the build, I get the now-infamous popup:
    Title: "Save Modified VIs?"
Text: "An error occured while trying to read the dependencies of your VIs; a possible cause for this problem is VIs not saved in the current version of LabVIEW. Would you like to save any modified VIs now?"
I select "yes", and the build then fails with errors in the log pane of the "Build Status" window.  The error is:
Error: Unable to find all subVIs from saved VIs, either a subVI is missing or the VI is not saved under the current LabVIEW version.
The missing file path is:  etc, etc.
I go to said missing path.  The VI is in fact present.  I open the VI and do "Save All", try again.  Same thing.  Then, I try a Mass Compile on the test VI directory.  Attempt to build again, same error.
Note that I do call some VIs dynamically, but those are all present in my workspace, and are not found in this error.
Is there a debugging option or log file or some kind of trace I can do to dig into this and find out the state of things causing the error?  Please help me out here.
    -Andy

One quick way to narrow down the issue is to change your LabVIEW adapter to Run-Time engine and then try and run the sequence in the Sequence Editor.
Also, triple check your search directories and make sure you're not pulling in VIs from an unexpected location.
When you see that dialog it's already too late to save so trying to Save at that point never works.
Another tip is to ignore which VIs it says are not saved in the current version and instead look at the subVIs that those VIs are calling. You can run into this if you have two subVIs loaded with the same name.

  • SIM Error - Unable to find screen - Create Item Ticket and Signer error

    Hi,
When I bring up the SIM application from Eclipse, everything works normally.
But I navigate to ITEM TICKET SCREEN, and here when i click on Create , to create an Item Ticket,
ideally It should open the Item Ticket Detail Screen,
    instead it throws an error,
    2013-01-14 11:30:16,855 ERROR [AWT-EventQueue-1][application.NavigationManager] Unable to find screen: oracle.retail.sim.shared.swing.itemticket.ItemTicketDetailScreen
and the screen is not opened, it just maintains the current screen which is ITEM TICKET LIST SCREEN,
but this is present in Navigation.xml screen and then i am able to find it in one for the project folders,
Any idea why exactly I am getting this issue, any way to make it work fine.
it was working sometime back, and i dont think any change regarding this has been made.
    sim version :13.2
in a totally un-realted scenario (that's what I think, there is one more class "NEWRetailItemSearchProcessor", for this I get an exception,
signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package
    I have two questions,
    1. Is it because of the signer Issue, I am getting the other error -"*Unable to find screen: oracle.retail.sim.shared.swing.itemticket.ItemTicketDetailScreen*"
    2. How do I resolve the signer issue,
    it says,
class "oracle.retail.sim.closed.simclient.editor.NEWRetailItemSearchProcessor"'s signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package
but in this package "oracle.retail.sim.closed.simclient.editor" -- there is no other class except the one mentioned NEWRetailItemSearchProcessor

    to fix the signer issue
    1) open the jar which contains required class file( i mean the one which gets called when u click on item tick button)
    in winrar software
    2) and remove below files
    manifest.mf and mykey.sf or somthing.sf
then resign your jar and deploy it.
i hop this would work fine.
some time what happen when we sign the jar it does not removes old sign instead removing it enter one more entry in that file
    hence it has two entry.
its better to follow above steps.

  • Newfs error: "Unable to find Media type. Proceeding with system determined"

    Hi,
I have the Solaris 10 update 6 installed on one server:

I have noticed that if I run command newfs, I get the following error: "Unable to find Media type. Proceeding with system determined parameters."
    bash-3.00# newfs /dev/md/rdsk/d100
/dev/md/rdsk/d100: Unable to find Media type. Proceeding with system determined parameters.

    /dev/md/dsk/d100 is mounted, can't mkfs
    bash-3.00#
What does this error mean? It did not occurr in earlier versions of Solaris. Can it be ignored or maybe the syntax for newfs has changed and I am doing something incorrectly?
    Thanks,

Sounds like your JBuilder environment is screwed up; see what the classpath and bootclasspath are set to, and correct the error. (This is a question that belongs on a JBuilder website.)
