Error - when a report is scheduled in WebI - "this"

Hi,
I have a very complex report which connects to BEX query and have complex contexts and many variables to satisfy the requirement.
Firstly to run the report it takes a long time as the Cobra fails due to the heap size even when the size is increased. Hence the work around solution was to schedule the reprot. the report it self runs on Prompt where the object is an Hierarchy Object.
Now when I run the report I have an error message stating below
"while trying to invoke the method com.sap.ip.bi.base.application.base.IModifiableListBase.get(int) of an object loaded from field com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.consumer.impl.queryview.resultset.tuples.RsAxisTuple.m_elements of an object loaded from local variable 'this'"
I have followed the OSS notes recomembed in one of the notes (1774121) but no luck, I have changed as suggested below but still I the same error.
OSS - Recomendation, also tried to increse the Timeout to "7200000"
SAP note: 1774121, make sure "R" in --RequestTimeout 3600000 as "-requestTimeout 3600000" . SAP recommend to timeout as 2 hrs or 3 hrs

Can you try these workarounds:
Since you told yours is a very complex be report, I would suggest you to enable cache on the Bex and prerun on the BW side.Schedule the same bex. Now when the webi runs, it will pickup the cache instance and run much faster for BOBJ
Can you please check if the report runs fine if the underlying data set is reduced.In that case, can you purge the data and rerun the report and see how it works
What are the hierarchy dimensions involved in your report. Can you run the report by dropping those dimensions and the hierarchy variable.
I strongly suspect it has something to do with Hierarchy/Variables.
Please keep us updated.

If you use Windows the user that runs the reports server is usually LocalSystem. Check this in the Windows Services panel.
LocalSystem has no printer access. To be able to print, you have to use a real domain user that has access to the printer. So, change the Log on properties in the Services panel.

Error when selecting system during scheduling of background job in RAR

Hi,
I am getting an error when I attempt to schedule a background in RAR. It happens when I go to the multiple system selection option. I select a system and click copy. An error example below appears in the logs even when I dont go ahead and schedule the job. The job still runs and returns results when scheduled. However these errors in the logs concern me. Anybody else experience this?

Did you check the connector whether the background system is connecting or not.
Goto RAR-Configuration>connectors> select the connector of the background system and then press on test connection.

Report Designer - Error when Loading Report

Hi,
We have created a report in Report Designer (7.0) and saved it. When we execute it runs fine. After closing the report and trying to reopen it, the report does not open. It gives an error "Error when Loading Report". Our BI frontend patch is 14.
Did anyone encounter this issue and is there a solution to this.

Please go to SE38 -> RS_REPORT_MAINTAIN,
Type your report name, and DT als "Report Type".
Goto edit mode, copy&paste this XML into txt file and send it to me ([email protected]). I will check whats going on with this report. Loading should be always possible.

This is an example of a stored procedure that is trying to be linked to a new report as the only datasource.
If I remove the parameter I can create a report, however this will return all of the results of thw query to the report, rather than the desired results. If I add the parameter on the Crystal Report, the stored procedure then has to return all of the results to Crystal and then perform the filtering of records. By using a parameter in the stored procedure, you should be able to do all of the filtering as part of the query on the databse server, making this more efficient.

Error when opening report in Excel

Hi all,
I'm trying to import an answer (which I made in OBI) to an Excel via sheet (Via the OBI office plugin).
So what I do is:
- I navigate to the report I want to open
- I expand the report so I can see all the views
- I double click the view I want to open
After doing this, I get following error:
Error while opening workbook. Old format or invalid type library. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80028018 (TYPE_E_INVDATAREAD))
Can any of you help me with this issue?

Thanks for your reply, but -for the benefit of other readers- after some research we found that this issue seems to be caused by a Microsoft Office BUG, which is listed on their support website as Article ID 320369 ( BUG: "Old format or invalid type library" error when automating Excel )

Error when running report: "Error in aggregate table for InfoCube"

Hi Experts
We had a temporary error, which I would like to find the root cause for.
We where running a Workbook which is based on a multiprovider. For a short period of time (around 10 minuts) we got the following error when we executed the workbook based on this multiprovider:
"Error in aggregate table for InfoCube"
There where no loads or aggregates rolling up on the cubes in the multiprovider.
I see no short dumps as well in ST22.
Have anybody seen this error before, and how can I trace how this error occured?

I will Suggest u to do some RSRV tests.
Go to transaction RSRV. There you will find test for aggregates. Just Perform them and see whether you get any discrepencies.

try this solution oryginally posted by Craig Brandt in another topic.
Firstly make sure you have no old Java installs or 'add ons' lingering about on your system, check in programs and features (assuming your using windows 7) and uninstall Java completely. Check the add ons in IE and show: 'All add ons' - remove manually if required. Do a clean up of the computers temp files and cache. I used a program called ccleaner. Also check c:\users\<username>\app data\locallow\ and delete the 'Sun' folder. Then reboot machine.
- Install latest Java 1.7.0_51
- Go to Java control panel in windows control panel
- add the exception for your BOBJ server e.g. http://<SERVER>:8080
- click continue
- go to the advanced tab
- scroll down and tick 'use TLS 1.2'
- apply or OK to exit java control panel
- open 'Internet Options'
- go to the 'advanced' tab
- scroll down and tick 'use TLS 1.2'
- OK everything and close any IE windows
Now try again, you will need to enable the 'add on' when prompted on opening IE for the first time.
Also when accessing the BI Web I for the first time, I placed a tick in the 'do not show this again for apps from this publisher'

No output no error when running reports 6i on WEB

Getting BEFOREREPORTTRIGGER error when running report on web

I have developed a report which uses lexicals in main query. In lexicals I apply filters (if any) which come as parameters from the GUI via a dbase table. When report is run locally using "Run Paper Layout" option it works as desired -- with or without filters.
When report is run via GUI it runs fine when no filters are applied. Problem comes when any of the filter is applied in any one of the cases selected from the GUI.
And I get the following errors.
REP-1419: Please contact the Systems Administrator.
REP-1419: 'beforereport': PL/SQL program aborted.
when I go and check the beforereport trigger it does not show any errors when report is run within report builder.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Problem comes when any of the filter is applied in any one of the cases selected from the GUI.Do you mean that the problems only shows when you run the report in your browser via 9iAS?
Which version are you using?
Can you post the before report trigger?

Error when running report using SDK

Hi, I am getting following error when I am running a report in boxi r2 sp3 on IIS. Infoview and CMC runs fine but SDK application is not able to connect to CMS. This error does not come all the time. It happens intermittently.
Error in RetrieveReport: Unable to connect to cluster @hisuatcluster to retrieve updated CMS member list. Logon cannot continue.
Anyone has seen this and any way to pin point the cause. We have used -ns and -port switch in the command line of CMS and all servers.

This kind of thing can be tuff to solve on a forum. I'll give you my best guess advice.1. Call Support - You may not want to do this if you don't already have a support contract.2. In that version you use the JPE Report Source object model. This object model was very basic. In version 11 we also made the RAS object model available. This is where you will find most of the documentation.If you move to Crystal Reports for Eclipse for Free this is the object model that you will see in the documentation.I would almost suggest that you download Crystal Reports for Eclipse and see if it works out for you.3. Crystal Reports 2008 Server Error when viewing report

Hello All,
I have loaded a CR 2008 report onto the CR 2008 Server. When I view the report from InfoView or CMC, I get the following error message:
Error in File <report name>: Unknown Database Connector Error .
I setup the ODBC datasources on the server as they are on my client PC where the Report originally worked. Are the ODBC datasource connections supposed to copy over with the report? Or do I have to manually enter them into the "Database Configuration" section?

1212487 - Error: "CRAXDRT Error Occured on Server. Error Number:-2147221005"
Symptom
A report is called through the Active Server Pages (ASP) Report Server to be displayed in the Report Viewer for ActiveX. However, the report is displayed with blank pages and when the viewer is switched to the Report Viewer for HTML the following error is displayed:
"CRAXDRT Error Occurred on Server. Error Number:-2147221005 Error Description: 006ASP 0177 Server.CreateObject Failed~Invalid Class String"
The same ASP application returns the report correctly when it is called from a client computer with the full version of Crystal Report 8 Developer Edition installed.
Resolution
It was found that the file, Emfgen.dll, was not installed and registered on the web server computer during the installation of the Crystal Reports ASP Reports Server. The report could be displayed correctly on the client computer, without Crystal Reports Developer Edition installed, after this file had been installed on the web server computer.

I'm currently upgrading older web applications to new web servers that use Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6, with SQL Server 2000 on a separate Windows 2003 server. The tools that I am required to use for this conversion are Visual Studio .Net 2003 and the Crystal Reports 9.1 version that comes with VS.Net 2003. The Crystal Reports .dlls from Visual Studio 2003 have been installed onto the new web servers (using the .MSI packages) and all available CR service packs have been applied.
I've been able to successfully migrate the reports from CR 7.0 and to create new ASPX pages to drive the reports. On the server script side (in the Page_Load event) I am using the ExportToStream method of the ReportDocument object to load a MemoryStream and then write the MemoryStream out to the client's browser, i.e.

oStream = DirectCast(creport.ExportToStream(CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat), MemoryStream)
Response.Clear()
Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"

One of two things will occur: either the report will appear in the client browser as a PDF within 30 seconds of the user requesting the report, or the client browser will display an 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' error if more than 30 seconds have passed.

Some of the reports utilize the RecordSelectionFormula property. When these reports are filtered to produce small results, the PDF is generated; when the reports are not filtered (and will return a large amount of information) the client browser will display the 'Cannot Display Web page' message (after 30 seconds).
I've tested the SQL Server views that suppy the information for the reports; they take no longer than 4 or 5 seconds to produce recordsets.
These same reports work with the CrystalReportViewer .Net object, however, I need to get these reports to PDF in order for people to be able to save/print them.
