  • Error when export report to PDF with a none standard Windows font

    Hi,
I got this error when trying to export PDF under VS2008 with an special true type font in the code behind. The error says:
    ...temp_9550ab94-02fc-4362-b259-cc6de8d6c04b {32E546F5-C6A3-44FC-B8EF-D5E37A1118FA}.rpt:\nOperation not yet implemented.
In the crystal reort under VS2008, I use a special font which is true type and it is already installed in the system, I can see the font in many other software like Word, Notepad, etc... without any problem.
Is anyone know how to fix it? please help.
    Many thanks!!!
    Lan

    Hi Ludek,
I trid the SP, but doesn't work. I can send the font to you, it is only 50K. If you would like to try I can send it to you, but i am not sure how i can upload the font file. I guess any none Windows standard font will have same issue, i guess.
For now, i am going to give up and use image file instead.
    Thanks,
    Lan
Do you know if it is well-known issue in CR?
    - No I do not.
where i can get any SP of CR for VS2008?

I would not mind testing this, but I need to know if there is a free download of this font available. I Googled the font name, but a quick search did not come up with anything.
Alternatively, you could try CR 2008 (12.x) and see if that will do the trick for you. An Eval of CR 2008 is available here:

  • The scan's to PDF file can not be printed

    Hello,
Im have an Mac running on Mac Os X 10.7.3
    I bought a HP officejet PRO 8500 A910.
The printer is installed and works fine if a want to print a document or a picture. The scanner also works.
    BUT there is a problem.
When I scan a document in my HP scanner to a PDF file. This PDF file can not be printed. When I send it to other people's computer, the can also read it on screen, but not print.
The printer gives an error :  Unable to covert PostScript file. (see screenshot).
Can anyone help me? I want to scan usable PDF documents that can be printed by anyone.
    Thank you.
    Erik
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The solution given was to convert to image. Then it is no longer a PDF! The printer worked fine until I upgraded to 10.9. Did the change in drivers eliminate the PPD? I can print PDF's from Preview just fine. Will HP be updating the driver to include the proper PPD?  As an aid to troubleshooting, what files should be present in the Library for correct PDF printing? This is happening on both my 8500 and 8610.
    Thanks

I'm installing a build of L.V. s/w that includes max and requires the import of a Max configuration file into max. It's been done on 3 machines fine. When doing it on a machine in a room with heightened security, I get the "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" error. The NI MAX error report gives the following ....

  • Can't save Actiontec configuration file....

I have an Actiontec MI424WR-GEN3I Rev I router and I'd like to save the configuration file as an emergency backup.  I've done this before but now when I navigate to Advanced > Configuration File and click on Save Configuration File I get two pages of alphanumeric characters, bascially jibberish to me, and nothing else happens.
I'm running Win 7 (x64) SP1, Microsoft Security Essentials, and get the same results with IE 11 or Firefox.
Does anyone have a suggestion why this is happening, and/or what I can do to save my configuration file?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    And the answer is....
I run Adguard ad blocker.  I had the thought to try disabling Adquard and sure enough, that solved the problem.
Disabled Adguard; save the config file; re-enabled Adguard.
I'm posting this just in case it might help someone with a similiar problem in the future.

  • Captivate 6 - Error when publishing to Adobe PDF

    Adobe Captivate CS6
    Windows 7 (Pro)
    Adobe Acrobat 9 (Pro)
Previously, with Captivate 5.5, I was able to Publish > SWF/HTML5 > Export PDF and use the PDF file to use for a review. However, with Captivate 6 I get an error when I attempt to publish my lessons to PDF. The image below shows what appears when I publish:
Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? I am not sure what I might have setup differently to cause this error.
In case it helps, here is my Publish screen:

Hi - if you search you will find a few questions varying on this theme, and I'm having a similar problem. It seems as though it may be related to Flash and Reader versions, as when Reader 10.1.4 upgraded automatically to 10.1.5 suddenly I was unable to read any new or previously working PDF files. I also had a colleague say that if he rolled back to Flash 11 (no later than just Flash 11) it started working again. If you want to try this, you can download an older version here - http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/otherversions/
If this is the case, there seems to be no solution as yet (I happened to log in to make sure there had been no replies and saw your message!), but you can keep an eye on this thread to see if anything is posted here - http://forums.adobe.com/message/5011573#5011573

  • RH11 - Cuts off tables when I generate review PDFs. How do I get it to include the entire table?

We just upgraded from RH9 to Rh11. I'm using the Create PDF for Review... option on the Review menu. I have several two column tables in the topic I'm sending for review. The PDF cuts off half of the second column in the tables. We didn't have this issue with RH9. Has anyone else had this problem with the PDF review feature in RH11? Can you tell me why it's doing this & how to fix it?
    Thanks

    Hi Peter and everyone else.
I started using RH 11 recently, and I am experiencing the same issue as CathyR-Fico reported: when generating the PDF output, RH keeps cropping some of my tables.
NOTE: some of my table cells contain long non-breakable text strings such as TimeoutInsightServerUpDisconnectedCheck. Can't avoid that.
I looked into the table properties and ensured that my table width is 100%, and adjusted the individual column width % to make sure that the total does not exceed 100%, but my tables are still cropped in PDF.
Here is a passage from the RH 11 User Guide, Create a PDF for review section: "Tables, images, and other elements that do not fit in a page are cropped." I keep checking my HTML preview now and then - all of my tables fit into the HTML help window. But the PDF output looks otherwise:( I tried the AutoFit feature as well - won't help:(
My question is: Is there any other way to ensure that my tables fit into any output page, be it PDF, Word or HTML?
    Thanks!

  • For uploading PDF (in php) if (!=application/pdf) {"No PDF"} gives error when trying to upload PDF. Why?

In a php upload file I have inserted:
    if($_FILES['file']['type'] !="application/pdf"){ echo "Should be PDF";}
    exit;
Even when trying to upload a PDF file the error message comes: Should be PDF.
Earlier this worked fine. Maybe a bug in an update?
    Regards,
    pluys

I think I found part of a solution now. It is not Firefox, it is some add-on or plug-in. I myself use a lot of add-ons. I asked someone who was new to Firefox to load up a PDF file. There was no problem!
So now I'm going to check all my add-ons, hoping it is not Firebug.
    All the best,
    Pluys

  • Getting error when trying to create pdf from Word

How do I resolve this problem. When I try to creat a PDF from a Word file, I get an error saying that "pdfmaker is missing files"?

Start by opening word and printing the file to the Adobe PDF printer. Other than that, there is a lot of info missing in your post that is needed to answer. What version of WORD (32 or 64 bit), OS (32 or 64 bit), and version of Acrobat. It is likely that you have a combination that is not compatible for PDF maker. If so, your only choice will be the printer route.

  • Can no longer print multiple files from a PDF package

Prior to our upgrade to Acrobat Pro X, we had the ability to print multiple files within a PDF package.  We would simply select the files we wanted to print, say print and it would print them all.  It no longer does so, although it still allows us to select multiple files and to select ALL from the print menu but then it only sends the first file to the printer.
We have tried it on both Windows XP and Windows 7 and it won't work correctly on either one.
Does anyone have any ideas?  This is very frustrating as these packages are created by folks bundling their e-mail messages to send to the fileroom for printing and filing in the official case files.  With the old method we were able to quickly print out all the messages without attachments, and then would only have to individually print those messages that had attachments.  As stands now if we get a package with 100 messages in  it we will have to select and print each file individually instead of being able to print the 75 without attachments as one print job and then only have to do the seperate handling for the remaining 25 with attachments.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I'm using windows 7. The Acrobat that came with the Adobe Creative Suit 4 is Adobe Acrobat Pro. When I am on a web site that has a page in PDF I click on the printer icon and the print page comes up but the preview side is blank and will not print the page.

  • Split - error when mapping generated

I have a mapping that uses a splitter to create 3 groups using the following conditions based on the value in the TYPE column:
    Group A: TYPE >= 4
    Group B: TYPE in (2, 3)
    Group C: TYPE = 1
When I generate the mapping from the mapping designer, or deploy it, or debug it, the condition for group B is always wrong - it always generates TYPE = 1. I've tried editing the condition to have TYPE between 2 and 3, and TYPE = 2 OR TYPE = 3, but it makes no difference.
What's going on here? Is there any way to force OWB to generate this condition correctly, or do I just have to go and edit the PL/SQL after the mapping is deployed?
    Thanks for any help,
    Rachel

    Rachel
You should not edit the generated code.
What version of OWB are you using. I have certainly found on 9.2.0.4 that OWB got "confused" and would not necessarily reflect the changes made to the mapping. Was very frustrating. Seems after a while it seems to recognise the changes. Persevere.
One possibility is to add a new splitter to the mapping, map the same attributes as the original splitter, and then add the actual conditions. Map the output from the splitter as normal and remove the old splitter. Just to confirm that the splitter is not confusing itself. Make a copy of the mapping before you do this.

  • How can I "touch" a configuration file?

I have a program that is used to write a configuration file.  I am using the "Configuration File VIs" that came with LabVIEW 8 to manage the configuration file.  I have the "Create file if necessary" boolean input wired to "True" for the "Open Config Data" VI, but I am still getting an error about the file not being found.
The VI should do the following:
Reads the data file in the current VI's directory, "config.cfg."
If the file doesn't exist, then create the file and pass the default values to the controls on the front panel.
If the file does exist then read the data file and pass the saved values to the controls on the front panel.
User adjusts the values on the front panel and clicks on "Ok" or "Cancel"
If the user clicks on "Ok" then save the values in the controls from the front panel into the configuration file.
If the user clicks on "Cancel" then do nothing.
    Close the configuration file.
Why isn't it creating the necessary file when I first run this VI?  Is there anyway I can initialize a configuration file?
    Thanks!

Ok, I get it.  If the program is compiled, then the path to the current vi is within the executable like:

    dev_dir\my.vi
    I
found a subVI program in the forum that does a simple check to see if

I personally always use a different approach. I have usually an application development directory structure similar to this.
    MyApplication
        <myapplication>.ini
        support
              <clean myapplication>.ini
              <myapplication>.ico
        topLevel.llb
              Startup Splashscreen.vi
              Get App Root Directory.vi
              Get App Configuration Path.vi
<some other VIs needed in the startup and intialization of my program>
<other function specific subdirectories such as GUI, config, FileIO, DAQ, serial, etc.>
Basically Get App Root Directory.vi always strips the Current VIs path
twice and is used by Get App Configuration Path.vi to build the ini
file path and possibly by others VIs to build specific additional
support subdirectories that the installer might create. Since Get App
Root Directory is one level below the root directory in the development
environment its relative position to the root directory is always the
same irrespective of LabVIEW development system execution or
    Application execution.
The <myapplication>.ini is used by the application during
debugging etc, and the <clean myapplication>.ini file is used by
the Application Builder/Project Manager to include in the application
and contains the settings as I want them to appear after first
    installation on the customers system.
