Error while Installation: Windows Setup failed to install (...) while offline servicing the image
Hello,
I'm facing some issues while installing an image from configuration file of Windows Embedded 8 Standard. I get an error message which I've tried to indentify using this guide
Use Log Files to Diagnose Image Builder Wizard Installation Problems (Standard 8). I haven't succeeded at all. The errors I have are the following:

I've googled for them and I've read that the 0x80070002 may be related to updates, but nothing particular about the other.
Could anyone please tell me what can be happening?
I've uploaded cbs_unattend.log and setupact.log in case they are helpful.

It's strange, because I can install that package, and all the other custom ones without error if updates, security updates and hotfixes are not included. It must be one of those packages which is causing the install to fail. I tried to install updates manually
once I deployed the image but after the updates some of my custom applications didn't work well.
All of this just happening on the intel board, not the amd one.

Error Message 3 Quick Time failed to install
I have tried every way I know possible to download iTunes. I have loaded Quicktime stand alone, I have loaded iTunes to my hard drive and tried to start the install from there and not the internet. I have turned off all firewalls and virus/spyware software. I continue to get Error Message 3, Quick Time failed to install. I am very frustrated with this problem as well as the run around I'm getting from Apple. I can't even update my iPod. I thought my iPod purchase was going to be great. But after the short battery life issue and now the software issue. I am starting to re-think my purchase. Does anyone have a solution to the software problem that works??? Apple even tried to blame the problem on my computer. I see from all the people that have this problem in this forum it is not my computer. Please help if you can...Thanks, M

With that one, I'd start with solution 3 from the following document:
iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install -
The wizard fails with: windows setup failed to open distribution share d:\ds (..etc)
I am running it from a USB disk that has over 4GB free space, all the other files and folders are shown in the DS folder ok
Please advise what i should do here?
Does the drive need to be a certain format? its FAT32 at the moment (not NTFS, so no security)
I have tried copying the contents of the wes7-ibw iso to another USB drive and the same thing happens.I solved it : setup failed to open distribution share d:\ds ... error 0x8007000 /0x8007003
the cause I assume there is something strange about the CD file format on that disk.
I first created a bootable usb (diskpart) then as i didnt had software to do it all in once
i converted the original CD to iso, and used other software to burn an ISO as bootable CD on usb.
( i used iso to usb for that its free )
i ve tried it with the usb as fat32 and (using convert converted fat32 to NTFS (stayed bootable).
I even tried different hard disks no difference same error.
Each time same error.
Then in the end i noticed the folder content of the DS folder on USB and CD wasn't equally.
So then i copied directories one by one over their existing USB counterparts
After that it worked...
Maybe the CD isnt folowing some CDrom standards, or uses a rarely used format; not wel recognized by common CDrom tools -
Trying to upgrade to Windows 10 but having serious issues. The upgrade starts in Windows 7 Pro, asks the various questions, reboots to the install environment, finishes copying files, reboots and it goes to "Preparing Automatic Repair." Automatic repair fails to repair anything, and a reboot shows an error "A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error Code: 0xc000000f." No matter what I try it fails at the exact same place. I'm to the point of having my laptop in pieces (I can reassemble) with only the bare minimum connected to get it to start, figuring it might be a driver issue. I've tried deactivating the "Data Execution Prevention," activated TPM, activated TXT, etc. and every combination I could think of. I have installed Windows 10 on the laptop with a clean install, however I cannot activate a clean Windows 10 install without first upgrading. I've posted a thread on the Microsoft community forums, however I have yet to recieve a resolution. If you would to see more info on what I've been told to try you can read it here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/windows-10-fails-to-install/106312ee-9876-44fe-9a40-1037a6a454d3?auth=1 I am totally lost and any new ideas would be appreciated. The Volume Shadow Copy service initially was running under the context of System, so we thought that ‘System’ doesn’t have permissions to access network shares.
When the Volume Shadow Copy service was running under the context of System, this was the error logged:
“failed with following error code '0x8078014B' (There was a failure in creating a directory on the backup storage location.).”
Which is likely due to not having permissions to write to the network location.
This is a scheduled backup trying to write to a network location, so we changes the service to run under the context of an account that does have permissions to write to the network share.
Then the error changed to this:
“failed with following error code '0x8078006B' (Windows Backup failed to create the shared protection point on the source volumes.).”

We aren’t really seeing anything that gives any hint on what the issue is.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance! We are trying to back up folders/files from 2 local drives (C: & D:), both of which have only 10% space used, and 100 GB free.
We are attempting to back the files up to a Remote Shared File (and there is 100+ GB free space out there).
If we try another network location, we receive the exact same error.
This is Windows Server 2012, not running Hyper-V and is a physical server not a VM.
Thank you for the link.

installing cs6 on a new laptop, I get error message "Adobe application manager failed to install"
Is this because I need to deactivate cs5 on one of the computers?
CS5 is on 2 old computers. I used Migration Assistant to migrate the applications to the new laptop which is a 3rd computer.
What do I need to do?I used Migration Assistant to migrate the applications to the new laptop which is a 3rd computer.
Forget that part. The apps won't work. Adobe apps must be installed properly. That may well explain your issues with CS6, too. Generalyl, though, there is no need to uninstall older versions...

will not open after installation. i have tried to install several times with the same results. installation sends a list to firefox each time. need help. willard lee
Can you attach a screenshot or link to the instructions you are following?
You are on the 3.6 release and Firefox 7.0.1 is out. You can download and install the latest release from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ if you would like to update now. The 3.6 version will be maintained for a while longer, but you should update when you can. -
For some reason I got an error message trying to update itunes on my Vista PC and for some reason could not run itunes. I uninstalled itunes completely and tried to download a new installation. Near the end of the installation I got this error message. "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." I was given the choices of 'cancel', 'retry', and 'abort'. I tried 'retry' and got the same error again. I tried 'abort' and the installation eventually ended in another error and suggested that I reinstall itunes. I was in the administrator's account when I attempted all these things.Has anyone had a similar problem or knows how to get the installation completed?? Thanks for any help.

My Windows XP failed to install Adobe Reader XI Int Explorer script error?
On my Windows XP, I failed to install Adobe Reader XI because of Internet Explorer script error - how can I overcome this?
You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader:
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, you may download the full offline Reader installer for the version you want from
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else. -

Hi

Intel Chipset Support for Windows 7 fails to install
When I tried to manually install Intel Chipset Support for Windows 7, Vista and XP (oss907ww, Version: 9.1.1.1016, Release Date: 2009/10/02, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-73684) on my W700 with Windows 7 x64, I got the following error message:
"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will now exit."
The newly released System Update 4.0 also fails to install this version of Intel Chipset Support. However, the previous version, Intel Chipset Support for Windows Vista, XP and 2000 (oss803ww, Version: 8.7.0.1007, Release Date: 2008/08/20, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70315) installs and works fine on my current system. Has anyone else had this problem?Hi,
I have a problem installing the above mentioned chipset driver for win7. TVSU can't install it, and when I do it manually, it gives me a message saying (translated - original message was annoyingly in chinese) "This system does not meet the lowest requirements of the software. The installation will end now."
I tried downloading it from lenovo's website, but it didn't work either, giving me the same message. The version of this driver is 9.1.1.1016 (according to TVSU).
Anyone have any ideas on what on earth is wrong?
Thank you all!
Cassio
