Error While Loding Time Dimension

Hello
I have a requirement in which i need to load the data into Time dimension so i mapped the data from Time dimension which Oracle Creates
While deploying i am getting an Error which says there is an error in Time Dimension Package which is created by oracle and
Can anyone tell me where should i go to rectify the error

Did the mapping validate ok?
If validation was ok, locate the package on the DB (same name as mapping) and compile it, this should give you more information on what is causing the error e.g. table does not exist etc.

i need to load time dimension from csv to oracle table, while loading i got the error.
my source data type is date and target is date.
ODI-1226: Step sample day fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1240: Flow sample day fails while performing a Loading operation. This flow loads target table W_SAMPLE_DATE.
ODI-1228: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the target ORACLE connection Target_Oracle.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-30088: datetime/interval precision is out of range
while creating c$ table

Error while processing a dimension

Hi,
While processing my Time dimension, am gettin the error ""Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
and "Exception of type System.exception is thrown" .

Hi,
I'm getting this too, except it's happening for about half of the dimensions in ApShell. It's a brand new install.
BPC7.5 for MS (SP5)
Windows Server 2008R2 64-bit
SQL 2008R2
Office 2007 SP2
I'm trying the initial 'Process Dimension' step for the ApShell application set.
Some of the dimensions (C_ACCT, C_Category, C_DataSrc, Entity) process fine, but others (Category, P_Activity, P_ACCT) fail with the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
The full error from the log is:

It's not your coding. The XML document which contains that attribute is not well-formed.

Error while creating Time Card Using API

I have a requirement to run OTL Interface once day to create/update Time Card in OTL for those datea created on sysdate-1 in Service Module (data will get feeded from Service Module). For example this interface will run on sysdate to create time cards for those data created in the service module on sysdate-1.

Do you get this error while processing all the dimension or only in specific dimension?
Do you have hierarchies in this dimension? Have you added the hierarchy in the property (you should not).

How to check which is the Latest/ Right one.

Hi,
You can find the details of diemnsions and its infoobject technical name in the table UJA_DIMENSION.
The filed TECH_NAME holds the infoobject technical name in BW for a particular dimension in BPC.

Error in creating time dimension

Hi,
I created a simple time dimension with two levels: year and month, and each level has one element that serves as chronological key. This is the error I got when checking global consistency:
"The physical table 'my time table' , which is part of a time dimension table, is also used in the logical table 'my time table', which is not part of any dimension".
What does it exactly mean?

Please provide details about how you are bringing in the table into presentation layer , its seems like the table is taken as a fact table by the tool , its very important how you are defining the relationship in the logical diagram.Some times its easier to bring a dummy table along in the physical layer and make a sensible logical diagram, since you are trying to create a time dimension you want it to have drillability , so you have to create a hierarchy on the same table.The key here is to make sure the tool understands what you really want ,sometimes you have to work around since the logical diagram is the only way the tool makes sense of the tables brought in.

Go to SU53 T-code from the back end , you can find the authorization issues; It will clearly mention what authorizations are missing in Red.

I accept your words but there is no DNS domiain setup,
It's a simple intel PC where we are loading Solaris 10 for R&D.
After the OS is loaded when we restart the pc after some booting process we are getting this error message that
Unqualified HOST name
But probably the message flashes for twice or thrice and the system proceeds booting further
BUt how to prevent this message from poping up every time we restart our system and if there is any entry that we need to put in any file.lets explain me the same if there is so

Error while uploading time sheet

Dear Consultant,
We have negative time management system. We do not run payroll on SAP but have Time Management System. We upload Timesheets in SAP using CAT2. While uploading Timesheets we got error as
" SUBMIT authorization GVAL required for program RGUGBR00".
What could be the reason?

Error while updating time sheet with BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_INSERT

Hi Gurus,
We are uploading data from 3rd party software to SAP with Z program.
In this Z program using BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_INSERT.
While updating data manually with CAT2 or with BAPI, data is entered properly without any problem but while using the bapi in Z program error message " Version 0 is not set up for controlling area" is coming .
Hence Version 0 is already active for the controlling area for fiscal year 2010.
Please help me to resolve the issue.

Error while configuring Facet dimension as a Month (Jan..Dec)

Dear All,
In SAP BusinessObjects Explorer, I am getting the attached error when I choose to display a dimension 'Month' ( contains values 'January', 'February' .. , 'December') as Dimension with 'Month ( Jan to Dec)'.
The error message is as below :
The prompts module failed to initialize.
Server error occurred while analyzing the prompt. (PS 50201)
Details : The creation of the prompt input session failed.
No objects have been modified or deleted in the universe.
The current System configuration is
BI 4.0 SP6
Database: Sybase ASE 15.5
I followed the below process :
1. Go to 'Manage Spaces'
2. Select the universe
3. Select the explorer and click on 'Index Now'.
4. After indexing is successful, select 'Configure'
5. Go to the 'Objects' tab and add the dimension 'Month' from the universe as a Facet.
6. Select the facet 'Month' and under the Details section, in Dimension drop-down; select 'Months (Jan..Dec)'
7. click on Validate

Hi Nakul,
Below is the overview
Database Level : datatype is Date
Universe : extract the month and using 'case.. when' convert it to respective month names as January, February, March etc
Explorer Level : I have 2 dimensions as 'Month_Name' (derived month name form date) and 'Date' ( the date column)
The 'Date' dimension only lets me choose 'Standard' option while the others are disabled
The 'Month_Name' dimension lets me choose the 'Month ( Jan to Dec)' option but gives the error.
I hope this explains my scenario
