In last days I have made backup of level 0 of my Solaris 8 SPARC using ufsdump 0uf /dev/rmt/0 /silcename, each slice was copied correctly, with the exception of my /oracle partition (slice) on which the following error is log:

I have tried to record with another tape, and also to erase the tape, and even so the problem persists.
This error has not happened to me in previous made backups. I did Send command FSCK to check problems in the disc, not finding any problem. Until before this problem, I have made satisfactorily backup with ufsdump of all partitions of my Solaris Server SPARC.

Disk not responding to selection generally indicates a hard drive error.
The fact that their showing up as transport errors indicates it could be scsi bus or or ide chain problems.
Could be cables, termination, controller. Or it could be the drive electronics.

I'm building 2 node cluster (Solaris 10/SC3.2) on Dell's 1950/PERC6i servers with quorum as a virtual server. Because I need to introduce quorum server to the cluster - my cluster nodes are still in install mode.
I have tried to add quorum using scsetup or clsetup but I'm getting always the same message:

VladimirDuring a last weekend I have reinstalled both nodes. I rebuild virtual disks (LUNs) under PERC 6i controller. I have chosen RAID0 instead of RAID1 as it was before. Still I'm not sure did RAID0 help me or just a rebuilding disks. MegaCli tool from LSI could not help me and tell what was wrong with disk/partitions that I used with first try. For MegaCli status of controller was without errors.
Probably something was wrong with this partitioning. I used also as in first try Solaris 10 with latest patches 01/2009 and Sun Cluster 3.2 also with latest security patch.
After reinstalling everything is almost fine :-). The only difference with other productive clusters (the patch level of Solaris & SUN Cluster is not as not this test cluster) is that cacao container agent is offline:

because of that I have following service as disabled:

Hello,
I have a Magic Trackpad that I'm trying to get to work on a Mac Mini OSX 10.6.8. I should note I recently purchased the trackpad second hand and not been ever able to have it fully functioning. The trackpad connects to the mini with no issue and I am able to move the cursor in any direction with no problem. I can not however get this trackpad to select an item or otherwise open anything. It seems it is unresponsive to either me pressing my finger down or tapping the trackpad to select something.
Do I just have a boken trackpad? Or am I doing something wrong/need a configuration change? I have a magic mouse that works without issue, but this trackpad is giving me fits!You have to press hard enough to make the feet at the front corners click, or you can enable Tap-to-Click in the Trackpad system preference.

I've installed a BI7.0 (ABAP only) instance on cluster with :
windows 2003 x64 SP2
SQL server 2005 x64 SP2
WAS 7.00 kernel 80
*the service runs with domain user.
I've upgraded to kernel 114 (latest). After the upgrade the ASCS service doesn't start. It throws error:
"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control
request in a timely fashion"
To solve this problem I've tried:
-go back to kernel 80 but I still get the same error.
-start the service manually on the second node. Still same error.
-restart the two servers and try again to start the service on the
nodes.
Any ideas ?

Hi,
I am facing the error "The Message Server did not respond within 60 sec. Please check if the message server is running.." when connecting to J2ee through NWDS.
I am able to reach the index page via http://<ip address>:53500/index.html but yet unable to reach through NWDS.
I have tried various combinations of host and port names like:
Message Server Host : <ip address>, <host name>
Message Server Port : 3636, 3936
but still no luck.
I've also cross checked the value of message server port by navigating to http://<IP address>:53500/monitoring/SystemInfo too, it is 3636.
The telnet test (telnet <ip address> <port Number>) draws a blank window.
I know this problem has been posted again and again, but then I am unable to understand what is the solution to this.
Can someone please help me in resolving this issue?

Although I still haven't received any info from my colleagues regarding the central instance..
Just a quick query, if we have NW04 we use 36** and if it is NW04S then we use 39** , is this the only difference for message server port?
If that is the case, as I mentioned earlier, I have tried both, and one gave me N/A(3936) while the other gave me 'message server did not respond' error(3636).
I have the message server host name & port , Enqueue Server Host name & Port and SDM PID and Port details with me..
Can this be anyway useful in establishing a connection?

Thanks, Jed dengThe other two posters suggested that the problem with tempdb or you data/log files. This is not the case here. The error message relates to the client-side of things. Apparently SSMS needs to store data on disk. I don't recall exactly when this happens,
but I seem to recall that the files appear in you %TEMP% directory.
I would suggest that your correct action is to clean up the disk. Not the least there may be a lot of junk in your %TEMP% and %TMP% directories.

Thanks Erland, I was not aware of this earlier. Now, I am able to find out one of the resons for slowness of SSMS gird. Also, I have just checked it with process monitor, SSMS is creating tmp%.tmp files..

According to the RV042G, it shows the connection was made and the status is set to "online" for the user, but choosing to wait does not connect and the error returns eventually requiring you to select "no" to waiting.

I am trying to setup a Client to Gateway VPN so I can utilize the 50 available tunnels. I have setup a Group VPN with user accounts associated with it. I have installed the Cisco QuickVPN client on Windows 7 and Windows 8 clients and have attempted to login. I don't know what else to do to get the QuickVPN client working so I can take advantage of the VPN service and 50 tunnels.

unable to "share" a photo. Get error message stating server is not responding. But all normal email functions work just fine.????????

ojala y me puedan ayudar, mi bb no me permite abrir mis contactos ni crear uno nuevo, cada vez que trato de hacerlo se me bloque y al tiempo me apacerce el error: application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app(270) is not responding y se cierra la aplicacion, esto es una lata porque necesito ver mis contactos y no me permite ni verlos ni crearlos, miproveedor de servicios me cargo la version actual 6.0 y aun asi no se corrigio el problema, que puedo hacer si estaba fundionando muy bien

You will not belive how I accidently solved this - !!!
Yes I had the problem immediately after the 5.1.1 'cloud' upgrade, the problems started (on my iphone 4) ... I followed the 'get power down button, then hold HOME for 30 secs' solution, but no result, nothing seemed to work and I was starting to get a bit agressive with the keep it pushed, multiple double click frustrations, icopybot multigesture solutions etc. and paid money ... but this comedy solution now works ...
I discovered it because I ordered a waterproof case for my iphone for my motorcycle ... I've just fitted it to my iphone and all the problems have gone ??? what! ... so wondering why I looked at what the home button on the casing was doing - it was pressing ACROSS the home button i.e. it converted my finger point into a wider 'PRESS
so taking the new case off, instead of using the point of my thumb to press HOME, I used the flat of my thumb to emulate it ....and initially nothing, so I wondered if it wa making better 'cross button' contacts, so I licked my thumb, wiped it and then tried again! - it worked!
I can't explain it but it seems to work - try it! if the double click on HOME doesn't work lick your thumb dry it and try again! I've just done it again

iChat uses several port as they are called over the internet to do different things
Text Chats and Video Chats are on different Ports.
You probably don't have the port open.
Use UPnP in your router if it has it.

Dictation will not respond to selected input setting
Dictation will not respond to selected input setting. It was working fine until the last update now this problem has arisen. I have to do a workaround through sound and select internal mic directly from there which I never had to do before.
If you updated to 6.1 & the problems began then - you might have Glims installed...
