Error: You must successfully call Init

Howdy All
Im getting an error when trying to create a remote session. Perhaps there is something I changed, but it seems like this just started happening.
I make the call as always:
IRemoteSession session = RemoteSessionFactory.getExplicitLoginContext(
new URL("http://portalserver/ptapi/services/QueryInterfaceAPI"),
"administrator","");And then get the error:
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException:
java.rmi.RemoteException: Error in PortalObjectsFactory.CreateSession:
Init has not been called.
You must successfully call Init before calling CreateSession

Thanks Lillian,
Looks like it was the API service, the "Axis" screen was showing but viewing the logs showed an error. Once that was corrected, it worked.

    Windows 7 users in my domain are unable to configure or change backup settings.  Users are able to open Control Panel > Backup and Restore, but when they click
    Change settings, they receive the error: Windows Backup - The backup application coud not start due to an internal error: You must be logged on as an administrator to perform this task. (0x8100000010).
    The same error is received when executing sdclt.exe /configure at the command prompt, regardless of whether the command prompt is launched using "run as administrator".
    I've done significant testing, and have been able to determine that the local administrator account is able to configure backups before the computer is joined to the domain.  Once the computer is joined to the domain, the local administrator account
    and domain users who are in the local administrators group are no longer able to configure backup and restore.  Domain administrators are able to configure backups.
    This is a new issue, which began occuring sometime in the last 2 months.  3 months ago, users were able to configure backups without issue, and those computers with backups configured are still able to run their backups and do restores; however the
    settings can no longer be changed.
    Clearly something in the domain is doing this, but Group Policy has not been altered, and I can find no setting that would be doing this in any case.  Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,
    So you mean you have tried different accounts in the local Administrator group and all of them failed?
    If so, please check what group the local Administrator group belongs to? Does it belong to a group with limited privileges, such as the Guests group?

  • Error C1189: #error : ERROR: You must use a GNU Compiler.

    Hi everyone!
    I have just ran into an error in which I don't know how to resolve. I'm trying to compile some code I have but it gives me the following : error C1189: #error :  ERROR: You must use a GNU Compiler.
    Before receiving this error I had received one stating that the header file "_mingw.h" was missing. I located that file and placed it in the correct folder. I also updated the project properties to locate the header file. The error itself says
    that I must use a GNU Compiler but I'm not exactly sure how to do this.I do have mingw installed on the PC though
    The error points to this part of the code :
    #define __MINGW32_VERSION           3.2
    #define __MINGW32_MAJOR_VERSION     3
    #define __MINGW32_MINOR_VERSION     20
    #define __MINGW32_PATCHLEVEL        0
    #ifndef __GNUC__
    #error ERROR: You must use a GNU Compiler.
    #endif
    #if (__GNUC__ < 3 || !defined(__GNUC_MINOR__) || (__GNUC__ == 3 && __GNUC_MINOR__ < 4) || (__GNUC__ == 3 && __GNUC_MINOR__ == 4 && __GNUC_PATCHLEVEL__ < 5))
    #error ERROR: You must use a GNU Compiler version >= 3.4.5.
    #endif
    Also to note, I have the most recent version 4.8.4.1 of the compiler.
    Any ideas on what I should so to fix this? Did placing the _mingw.h file in the folder have anything to do with it?
    I would appreciate any help!! :-)

    It appears that the author of the code you are compiling intended it to be compiled with the GNU compiler, not the Visual C++ compiler.  So they manually inserted an error message (guarded by the #ifndef __GNUC__ check) so that if you compiled it on
    Visual Studio, you'd be alerted to that fact.
    I'm afraid you are now faced with either porting this code or finding a Windows distribution of it that is compatible with Visual Studio.
    *NOT RECOMMENDED*, but to begin the process of porting it , simply delete the #error line from the source code and recompile with visual studio.  You can expect millions of specific issues will need further attention.  After all, it's probably
    there for a reason.  If you are new to this, that's probably NOT what you want to do.
    On the other hand, what were you trying to compile that needed _mingw.h?  That's the piece that needs to be configured correctly.  You are likely not building it as the author intended.

  • EasyDMS 7 - Digital signature error "you must make a digital signature...."

    Hi Folks,
    I am getting the error "you must make a digital signature for this status@188@26" when trying to set a status which has digital signature (sig strategy SAPPOCSS).
    This was working fine in EasyDMS 6.0 and currently works in SAPGUI cv02n (after pressing enter twice when I get a warning). I am/was using the same user with correct auth objects (and SAP_ALL).
    Any idea what the issue could be. Has anybody experienced this in EasyDMS 7.0?
    Thanks,
    Lashan

    Hi,
    Thanks for the response.
    This worked fine EDMS 6.0 SP14. Its not on EasyDMS 7.0 SP3. At the same time I am able to do this from CV02N. My next course of action is to try on EDMS 7.0 SP4. Will update the thread on how that goes and will also look at doing a debug.
    Cheers,

  • App Store review page error -  "You must own this item ..."  I do own it!?!

    Recently when trying to review apps I very clearly do own and have already downloaded, both free and purchased I get the pop-up error "You must own this item to write a customer review. In order to write a customer review you must have purchased or downloaded it." I try to review anyway and it doesn't go through. I would like to be able to inform other App users as they inform me. It's very frustrating. I have reset the iphone, verified my password and account access, ensured my password is entered correctly, rebootoed the iphone, and still I can not leave reviews for Apps I own. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the tips, Raleigh. I tried multiple ways to post a review (on my Mac before and after signing out/in on my iTunes account, verified that the app showed in my purchase history, on the iPhone where the app showed as Installed, etc.). I do this this is a bona fide issue with the App Store (among other issues, such as not connecting when tapping categories on the iPhone, but featured, top25, etc., buttons all worked). These have been intermittent over the past week.

  • Exchange server OWA athentication Error " You must set a default domain if LogonFormat is set to UserName"

    I Have windows 2012 DC installed and This is a production server, I know that Its not recommended to install exchange server on the DC. I had to do it because of management instructions.
    I have tried to install the exchange 2013 and received many errors at the time of installations and then finally I changed the path for installation to D drive. its installed successfully.
    The issue is its not opening the OWA or ECP.
    The owa virtual directory got deleted as part of troubleshooting to recreate it. but after that its not creating, I reset the iis and created the virtual drive for owa from the iis console but not through powershell and then i thought to install the SP1
    so that it can be fixed.
    At the time of installation client access front end service role ..it gives error

            " was run: "You must set a default domain if LogonFormat is set to UserName.".

    Hi Mohammed,
    I have run into this same problem and below is the fix.
    Run below command  to see the logon format
    Get-OwaVirtualDirectory -Identity "owa (Default Web Site)"|fl name,server,*auth*,*logon*,*domain*
    Look for LogonFormat values
    LogonFormat                             : UserName- (Wrong One)
    LogonFormat                             : Domain - (Correct one)
    If you find the first one (Wrong One) then i would suggest you to run the below command to change the log on format to domain which will solve your problem
    Set-OwaVirtualDirectory -Identity "owa (Default Web Site)" -LogonFormat FullDomain
    Cheers !!

  • ICal: email alarm creation fails with error "You must add your own card..."

    When I try to set an email alarm in an event in iCal, it gives an error that "You must add your own card and email address in Address Book to be able to use mail alarms." But I do have such a card in my Address book. E.g., I can use the "Go to my card" command from the Card menu in Address Book. I even exported then deleted my entry and reimported it and marked it as my card again and still iCal will not set a mail alarm for any events. I've also tried setting other cards to be "my card" and iCal still hates me. Help! I need this feature and used this all the time before it broke early this week.
    Is there a way to rebuild my Address Book or something?

    OK, I finally fixed it. I told Dot Mac to replace all contacts on my computer with the synchronized stuff out on the cloud. I don't know what someone would do if they didn't synchronize -- maybe it wouldn't have happened to them. Anyhow, replacing my contacts with the stuff from Dot Mac or Mobile Me or whatever Apple is calling it now worked.

  • Error: You must have at least 1 Easy Setup File?

    I just upgraded from FCE 1.0.1 to FCE HD v3.0. I have Quicktime 7.4.5 & OS X 10.4.11
    When I launch, it takes forever because it's trying to load all my audio plugins into it and then at the end of that I get this error message:
    Unable to start Final Cut Express HD. You must have at least 1 Easy Setup file. Please re-install Final Cut Express HD and try again.
    Since it takes so long to install and I've already done it twice now...to no avail mind you...I was wondering if a guru or enlightened person would fill me in with what's going on and what I might do about it?

    You may as well get rid of everything as we don't know where the problem lies.
    This says FCE 2 but it is for FCE 1.0.1 as well. Remember many of the FCE 3.0 and FCE 1.0.1 files will be the same/shared.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93690
    When you reinstall, do not install FCE 1.0.1.
    Simply install FCE 3.0 and you will be asked at some point for the FCE 1.0.1 serial number as well.

  • Portal Runtime Error: You must have permissions to execute this iView

    Hey
    I have imported Business Package for SAP CRM 4.0 50.2.4 / 60.2.3 and running it on a SAP Portal 6.0.
    When I using the role com.sap.pct.crm.PortalAdmin I get the following Error Message when im accessing most of the iviews in the role:
    Portal Runtime Error
    An exception occurred while processing a request for :
    iView : pcd:portal_content/com.sap.portal.migrated/ep_5.0/roles/com.sap.pct.crm.PortalAdmin/pkmadmin/indexadmin/com.sap.pct.crm.pkmadmin.IndexAdmin
    Component Name : com.sap.pct.crm.pkmadmin.indexadmin
    You must have permissions to execute this iView.
    See the details for the exception ID in the log file
    The iView i want to access is the Index Administration iview and the Configuration iview belonging to the Portal KM workset.
    I've found a note on exactly this problem:
    Note 751217 - Not the necessary permission to execute CRM iViews
    And i have done what they describe in the solution by importing the new package and give myself the PortalAdminAuthorization role.
    I still get the same error message. Got any tips beside sending an OSS message?
    And yes, I have checked the permission for the iviews, and i got the role super_admin_role.
    Best Regards
    Kristoffer Engh

    Hello Sekhar,
    It may be due to some authorization issues.
    Run your application in the portal and at the same time check the T-Code SU53. Contact your BASIS/Security team to resolve your authorization issues.
    Guess it will really solve your problem.

  • Bdoc Error"You must activate partial deliveries before you can specify "

    Hi
    While doing the downloads of customers from ECC to CRM, I am getting an error in Bdoc "You must activate partial deliveries before you can specify a max. number" .We are running on CRM 6.0 connected to ECC 5.0  .I have checked the Note 1338378 but it is only applicable for ECC 6.0 .Please provide your Inputs to overcome the issue .
    Regards
    Vipul Singh

    Hi Vipul,
    This is a master data issue. In ECC system go to Tr. XD02 select your customer go to sales area data -> go to shipping tab and in partial delivery block correct the data. If you have selected partial delivery per item = C i.e only complete del. allowed then take out the value from the field max. partial delivery. Save your changes.
    Then you will get another Bdoc error " partner with GUID XXXXXX does not exist" ignote it.
    Bring the customer using the request load.. and you should be good.
    Thanks,
    Vikash.
