What else SCE couldn't do without Collection manager and Subscriber Manager for SCE?

Can we still monitor the traffic and control the subscriber even we do not have any Collection manager and Subscriber Manager? with SCE alone couldn't analysis or control the traffic?

Hi,
Without CM you can not generate reports based on RDR collection process. For example if you dont have Collection Manager you can not generate reports that are predefined on the SCA Reporter or insight. Only you can do is you can poll SNMP counters/values by a s/w and you can graph them, but it is not suitable and not covers the all data that SCE collects and reports. And for the SM side if you want to communicate with a policy/external server you really need an SM, also you can use its internal Quota manager to count quota.

Collection Management for SAP 4.7 version

I would like to know if there is an add-on or something similar to Collection Management (FSCM) for SAP 4.7 Version.

Collections management is a different module. It can work with 4.7, ECC5 or ECC6. If you are currently on 4.7, you can still use collections management, but you have to follow installation option for 4.7.
It can be installed on the same system on if you using ECC6, otherwise it is installed on different systems, and linked through ALE.

Error in Cisco call manager

I am currently installing the SAP Solution Manager in a new server before I am going to install SAP XI. This is because I need the Solution Manager to generate a Key for the XI installation. I am choosing a typical installation. However, I keep hitting into Installation errors as below:

There are a total of 43 steps at the installation, and this error occurs at Step 2.
There are a few questions which I need some help:
1) Since the server is fresh, and it is a new installation, when defining parameters during installation, do I choose "Register in existing central SLD" or "Configure a new SLD"?
1a) If I need to choose "Register in existing central SLD", what values should I input for SLD HTTP Host, SLD HTTP Port, SLD Gateway Host and SLD Gateway Instant Number?
1b) If I need to choose "Configure a new SLD", what value should I input for the Object Server Name?
2) Any ideas what the errors above is about and how to solve them?

Compile error when using Collections.sort for Vector, why?

The compiler is giving an error when trying to do this (I'm using JDK 1.5.0_09):
Vector <String> test = new Vector <String>();
test.add("test1");
test.add("test2");
test.add("test3");
Collections.sort(test);The error being:
The method sort(Vector<String>) is undefined for the type Collections
Collections.sort takes List, but Vector is of type List, so this should work, correct?

Cisco NAC Manager for 40 Servers

The NAC Super Manager is capable of up to 40 NAC Servers. What happens when I add the 41st NAC Server?
Is there a way to cluster NAC Managers?

The no.of servers managed by the CAM (inband or outband) depends on the CAM software (manager lite, standard manager and super manager). The licenses dont differentiate between Inband and OOB licenses. For adding more servers you need to purchase more license.

Auto Reconciliation Errored out in Cash Management for Open Interface

You should really raise a TAR (SR) with Oracle support about this. Definitely not a forum question.

Missing 0CLM_INVOICE Data Source for SAP Collections Management

I was activating BC for SAP Collections Management for BI, and it states that exist a 0CLM_INVOICE Data source.
I Look into ECC (R/3) and try to activate de datasource, but it doesn't exist.
Does anyone knows what could be the problem?

We checked the R/3 system and it is on SAP BW SP 12.

Back up Collection Manager

Hi,
Has anyone encountered some problem on backing up the Cisco Collection Manager. We will be upgrading the firmware of our SCE8000 from 3.6.5 to 3.8.x, and need to upgrade also the Collection Manager. We are encountering the error below when backing up:

It seems like the sybback.sh script is trying to use a file which cannot be found in your system. The file is
~sybase/SYBASE.sh.
I understand that you are using here a bundled distribution of CM (using Sybase DB). Is that correct? If so, can you try to locate SYBASE.sh file in the server? Perhaps the script is referring to a wrong location and that's why it's failing. It could also be a permission problem.
The procedure to backup the CM DB may depend on the type of DB being used. For external DB, you may need rely on the DB capabilities to backup.
In any case, a CM upgrade shouldn't normally need a DB backup. During the upgrade process the DB structures is upgarded and the data is adapted to the new structure. You can find the upgrade procedure to 3.8.x here:

As you can see, there is no mention of DB backup needed for the upgrade procedure. Also, take into account that an upgrade from 3.6.5 to 3.8.x cannot be done directly. To upgrade from Version 3.6.x or earlier, you must first upgrade to Version 3.7.x.
You can always backup your DB if you want, of course.

New Entry Point in Cisco Interaction Manager

I have created a new Entry Point in Cisco Interaction Manager for web chat. I used a new Queue and a new Script for the que script selector. I added a new ICM queue script for the chat, a new Dialed Number / Script Selector. When I test the new chat, the entry point works and shows the new entry point name in the CIM agent, but it still queues to the existing queue in ICM, not the new one. Anyone have any idea what I might have missed?

Hey Lara, the emails are not getting queued because they are abnormally handled after success path of Queue to skill group.
please add a wait node, after success path of queue to skill group. set time in wait node to max time you want emails to stay in queue. may be after this you can use another queue or send some label back to CIM, which matches to non IPTA group on CIM.
the same is applicable for Chat as well.
coming to the point at the subsequent chat not routing to the same agent, this one depends on max concurrent task you configure in CIM for Chat queue.
there is config tab in each ICM integrated queue called "Concurrent task limit", this is the one deciding factor on how many concurrent task for each queue an agent can handle.
please try and let me know if that works.
