These are all the erros are generating in Diagnosis of wf with errors for PO release.
Work item 000000042774: Object FLOWITEM method EXECUTE cannot be executed
Error when processing node '0000000012' (ParForEach index 000000)
Error when creating a component of type 'Schritt'
Error when creating a work item
Error when processing node '0000000012' (ParForEach index 000000)
Error when starting work item 000000042774
Element RELEASECODE is not available in the container
Agent determination for step '0000000012' failed
Please give me the solution

Hi Soni,
This is a purchasing release workflow. The error is that the parameter release code has not been passed to this step. What you must do is:
1) Open the workflow template in the workflow building. Click on node 12 in the navigation pane (far left hand side).
2) Click on the binding button. Ensure the element release code is bound from workflow container to task container. Activate your workflow template.
3) If the binding was correct, open your triggering event and ensure the RELEASECODE element is bound between the event container and the workflow container.
4) Update runtime buffers in your testing client using transaction SWU_OBUF.

Process-controlled workflow hang due to dump

Hi all,
due to a temporary dump in an SRM 7 system, some document-related workflows are stucked... in other terms, these workflow processes have been started, the the dump occoured and by now, they seems to be stucked in "in process" state.
Tecnically, these are not workflow in error, so SWI2_DIAG is not helpful.
We'd like to unlock this situation and -eventually- restart the workflow process. How can we do it?

edit: system dump is now solved, which means, triggering the same workflow process will result in a success.

Ok. There used to be OSS Note 1458380 - Process Controlled Workflow Restart Program, if the document is in "Awaiting Approval" Status.
Or do the manual restart by using tcode SWUE (Event trigger)
Object Category - ABAP Class
Object Type - /SAPSRM/CL_WF_PDO_SC
Event - READY_FOR_WORKFLOW
Object Key - <DOCUMENT_GUID>
Event Parameter - <SC Creator User ID>
and Click "Create Event" button
Use SWI1 to check whether the event is created and see whether the document is submitted for workflow triggering or use SWI6 to check for that SC document

Problem with Copied Business Object : SELFITEM

sub: Problem with Copied Business Object : SELFITEM
I want to use changed selfitem BOR for carbon copy functionality. For it, i copied the BOR : SELFITEM. it is giving error
In SWI2_DIAG it is showing like this.
Work item cannot be read
Work item 000000639770: Object method SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S cannot be executed
The problem is with COPYING The Business Object. Because , generally we extend BOR ,not copy. But i did copy.
Please help me regarding this.

The problem may not be in method. because simply we copied the BO:SELFITEM into ZSELF . And i want to test this for a mail at first , whether copied BOR is working or not.The mail is not triggering . it is saying that it is Error.

this is Error :

Once it is rectified i can modify the method in BO:ZSELF.

Chief position for User

Hi Experts,
I am getting error in SWI2_DIAG transaction , There is no chief position for User,
But i checked the organisational structure under User path, already Manager is there & this Manager is flagged as Head of organisational unit, so manager becomes chief in position.
Please give your valuable feedback to resolve the issue.

Please note that you can complete the workflow step manually which is stuck in Process state. If the Wflow is in error state you can find the wflows in error from SWI2_DIAG Tcode and restart from there. In the worst case start wflow from SWUS and delete the previous instance logically.

Resend Purchase Requisition created pass 2 week to workflow inbox

Hi,
We are using the PR release workflow WS00000038, no PR is send to Manager workflow inbox due to some setting in RFC config, we have resolved the RFC config. Now we wanted to resend the PR created for the pass 2 weeks to the Manager Workflow Inbox, how to do it?

Are the Workflow in error state. If they are in error state you can restart the Workflow from SWPR Tcode. If the Workflow is in Prcess state and it is stuck in the first step then I am afraid you have to trigger them either Through SWUS or through SWUE. If Wflow in error state you can catch the workitems in error from SWI2_DIAG.

When I execute a ZXXX workitem, in SWI2_DIAG appear the following error diganosis:
-The method cannot be executed
-Application method has processed message 'E'; see long text
-Notification of completion cannot be generated
-Problems occurred when generating a mail
-Error '9' when calling service 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'

Thank you for you reply, at the begining I thought that was the reason, but I discover the error apears befor to assign a agent the workitem, I verify the structure and is ok.
Tests in QA system works.

SWI2_DIAG- Workflow error

Hi.
I have few errors in transaction SWI2_DIAG.
It says, Item-Based Approval 1111.
When i double click on that then the error says "Mised Deadline: Approve SC 111 from user could not be sent".
I went to EBP to see the Approval status of the shopping cart, it says "No workflow started, Application error occured".
What could be the problem and why this might happend, any clue how can i trouble shoot this to understand more information about this behaviour. This is not just one i have few more shopping carts .

Please check the approver list, whether the container determine the apporver or not. if determined then for the user and the necessary things set in the system or not. If then the mail of the approver is not set and chenck the acct assing in the system.

Hi Experts,
I used transaction SWI2_DIAG to diagnose the error and tried to restart the workitem manually .The changes were made to Org chart and now everything is fine but I am still getting error message:
Work item could not be found
Workflow 'Post with Clearing Workflow' step number 4: work item could not be created
Agent determination for step '0000000004' failed
Workflow WS93000005 no. 000004806372 activity 0000000004 role 'AC00000168': No agent found
Resolution of rule AC00000168 for task TS93000019: no agent found
Can someone explain what this error message mean and why i cant restart the workitem manually?

in SRM 7.0 CS, i have come accross the following workflow error:
I have extended my existing organizational plan for a new site (new CoCo, Plant, Purch Org and Purch Gr). But when i use my test users with this site, i receive a workflow error, that has the following wording in SWI2_DIAG:

Can you maybe help me understand, what this error means and how to resolve it?

P.S. my test users work fine if i drag them to another location in my organizational plan. And also if i take other test user from locations where everything works fine and drag them to this "problem" location, than the same workflow error occures.

Remove the user from the PPOMA node and add him again.. Sometimes this will solve the issue..

Resolving error for determination for agents and buffering

Hi,
Can u please let me know how to resolve buffering error and agent determination error, by which way and what tcode are there for it if any ?
One more question is there how to test workflow and how to restart it with issues?

how to resolve buffering error -
To resolve buffering errors
1) Use Synchronize Runtime Buffer ( SWU_OBUF)
Always refresh the runtime buffer when you have made a change in a task definition or after transporting
new workflows or versions of workflows that are to be used on the day of tranport .
2) use the refresh organizational environment option in Business workplace ( SBWP) or in start workflow function ( SWUS) .This refreshes buffers for current user id .

to solve agent determination errors ,you can take help from following tcodes -
swi1_rule - Execute rules for work items
swi2_adm1 - Execute work items without agents
swia - Execute work items without agent check
how to test workflow and how to restart it with issues
SWPR - workflow restart after error
swi2_diag -Diagnosis of workflow with errors
SWPC - continue workflow after system crash
SWUD - workflow diagnosis
swus - test workflow

In SRM 7.0 CS, i am having a problem in the area of work flow. In general, the workflow is working fine, but at times the work item does not get delivered to the approver.

Yes, rolewise the approver is having the manager role in SRM and also on the portal. But what do you mean by "manager position in PPOSA_BBP"?
The user is hanging in his node together with the other users. Is there any specific "manager position", where the approvers have to be put in PPOMA? I mean, the other approvers, for whom the workflow is working normal, are hangig in their nodes just like the approver who is not getting the work item.
Moreover, if i drag the users (the requestor and the approver) into an other node (for another plant of another company code for example), than the work flow is working fine.
Can there be any other reason for such an error?

My Workflow is pretty simple, since I only have on task: TS17900100 which is &_WF_INITIATOR&
So basically the user should enter his new address and then be able to approve it.
I hope that somebody can help me with an answer.

Did you search the forum? Often the quickest way to get an answer.
Looks like someone else had the same problem:
Transaction brackets of the workflow has been damaged
Solution was:
"The problem have been rectified by applying SAP notes
1248416 and 1384961 in order."
But first try SWU_OBUF and regenerating the workflow.

Confirmation workflow getting error

Hi,
I have activated the confirmation workflow WS10400010 (worflow without approval). I am trying to do the GR in SRM and it's generating local confirmation number. When i see check status showing is awaiting approval.
I have activated only above workflow for confirmation and remaining all are deactivated.
Also for each time i am doing the confirmation then i am getting one message in my inbox.
Workflow 65606 set to status ERROR
Desciritpion of above work item:
Please repair the suspended workflow Context Information: ID: 65606 Work Item Text: Workflow for Purchase order No. , Guid User: SAPADMIN Language: E Press 'Execute' to display the workflow that has errors.

I have also a problem with WF WS10400010. Anytime we try to execute this WF we get an error. Checking it out through TX:SWI2_DIAG we have found out we have a problem in the first sub-workflow WS10000203. The dialogue box we get is:

Restart Workflow after error in Production Server.

Hi Experts,
We had a Problem in PO Release in production Server no we have set the release strategy again.
1)Can i Restart the Workflows from that date so that the PO which where in error will work with the new release strategy ?
2) T code to Restart WF after Error is SWPR Right ? or should i Use SWPC
3) Please tell me where to find WorkItem ID

Hi,
if you know for what Key id you had wflow errored out, you can find it. FOr example, any invoice, Notification, etc., go to that document or notification, and click on the "Services for Obj" icon and go to workflow--->wflow over view. THis is how you get to the wflow log. And in that, youcan choose the Technical Details view which gives you the witem id.
Instead, you can use SWI6 and give the BO and exact key and you will get to wflow log..Or you can use Txn SWI2_DIAG..
