Essbase error on Report

We have a report that will only run with the administrator log in. When it is ran by a different user we get the following essbase errors and warning:

When we run it with the administrator log in, the system bypasses the Hybrid Analysis:

Ignoring span Hybrid Analysis option. Spanning into Hybrid Analysis Relational Source has been disabled. See the essbase.cfg file
The weird thing is we do not have the Hybrid Analysis turned on. We are on 11.1.2 and just upgraded. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Use Session: True (also tried false - doesn't help)
Use multithreaded connections: True
Does anybody have an idea - what causes these problems and how can I prevent them?
Also i have a doubt whether this error is caused due to essbase subtitution variable which is used in my report.

we are using obiee 11.1.1.6 version with essbase 9.3.3 as a data source . when I try to run a report in obiee, I am getting the below error :

but if I run the same query in excel add in, I am just getting 20 records . wondering why I am getting this error in obiee . Does any one encountered the same issue ?

Well if you want to export in I think you have to manually do it.
The workaround it to open your aperture library by right clicking it and show contents...
Then go into your project right click show contents...
In here there are sub folders on dates that the pictures were added to those projects. If you open the sub folder and search for your pictures name it should be in that main folder.
You can just copy it out as you would any normal file to any other location.
Voila you have manually exported out your file.

Export in Query Ready Mode get Essbase Error 1020047

Through Workspace when in a Financial Reporting Report, when we click on Export in Query Ready Mode, we get the following error in Excel and then Excel closes. 'Essbase Error (1020047): A column item [%] conflicts with a row item[%].'
Any ideas?

Substitution varialbe does not exist Essbase error 1051083

Gurus,
I have a query about this error.
Essbase Error 1051083 - Substitution variable APP.DATABASE.YMNTH does not exist
This substitution variable is is created in global level - for ALL APPS/ALL DBS.
When users try to pull off reports in planning using this database, we get the error message mentioned above.
What could be reason we get this error even though we have the member available in the cube.
I know the substitution variable is defined without any issue, it has the name and value as well and we have those members in the dimensions. I believe, the report freezes during such report retrieval, so I think the freezing has to do with this as well.
Any advise?

Is that error populated in Essbase logs?
Error "1051083 Substitution variable <<app.db.substitutionvariablename>> is not found" [ID 1259386.1]
By default Planning looks at specific app/db level variable, then at app level and then at global level. (Just checked that in 11.1.2.2.303 Planning and didn't see any issues)

Server error[1012]:Essbase error[1260052]

Dear All,
We created a report in Hyperion Interactive reporting using Hyperion Essbase as database connection file .
We have a substitution variables in Essbase.We want to use the Substitution variables ("CMonth","CYTD") in IR report Substitution variables were already created in Essbase.
In Query when i select Period dimension i saw an option called Substitution variables i selected the variables("CMonth","CYTD").When i hit process button i am getting the following error Message
"server error[1012]:Essbase error[1260052]:Syntax error in input MDX query on line 2 at token 'OctYTD'
Please let me is there a better way to bring the variables in Query.
Any suggestions to resolve issue will be really helpful.

I pass the parameter "USD" and "EUR" in the Macro. It works good but
If i Pass the Parameter for a Macro as "JPY"
It is throwing an Error

I know the Errors means "JPY" Member is INVALID, But the JPY is present in the Outline same as USD and EUR in the UDA "Currency".

Are you definitely sure JPY exists in the essbase application, go into eas and open the outline and check.
It may exist in planning but if it is not defined as a reporting currency then it won't exist in essbase.

Thanks for taking a look, I fear you may have hit the nail on the head, as I mention we are reporting on this using OBIEE, so we have imported the cube (BSO) into our OBI repository, OBI flattens the cube to make it look like a star schema it doesn't recognise the Accounts dimension correctly so we have to set it to be of type 'Other' after we have imported it, otherwise none of the figures in the Accounts dimension are actually reported (you can see the members but when included in a query no data is returned).
Another issue we found was that OBIEE appeared to substitute the name 'Measures' for Accounts when building the query, so we made 'Measures' the default alias for the Accounts dimension, to add to the issue I probably should have mentioned that the aggregation rule in OBIEE for this fact column has been set to SUM rather than External_Agg, but Oracle support have previously indicated that this is OK to do. The issue originally arose because we wanted to extend on of our dimensions with additional attributes stored in a SQL database table.
Sorry it is all a bit messy, the whole OBI with Essbase as a source is still relatively new, and it looks like there may be a few things for the mighty O to iron out, I posted this in here because the OBIEE forum has no posts with similar issues, so thanks for your help so far and anything else you can add.

Essbase Errors in the log and applications crashing - 11.1.2.0 and 11.1.2.1

We recently started installing a new DEV, CERT and Prod environment. We installed 11.1.2.0 in Dev and then 11.1.2.1 in Cert and Prod. In all three environments we are getting error messages in our essbase logs...“Essbase Error 1042017 - Increase the NetRetryCount and/or NetDelay” We have done all the usual changes to the config file by changing the netretrycount and netdelay settings, however the problem still persists. We are only working with developed applications in Dev, and there it causes those applications to stop. In Cert and Prod, only the sample apps are loaded, but again we get these errors in our logs. Since it spans multiple environments it seems that this is some thing with our environment, but not sure what that would be. Any thoughts?

Essbase Error (1042017): Network Error in Smart View

I try to do Ad hoc ahalysis in Smart View via Essbase provider and get Essbase Error (1042017): Network Error: The client or server timed out waiting to receive data using TCP/IP. Check network connections. Increase the olap.server.netConnectRetry and/or olap.server.netDelay values in the essbase.properties.
I've tried to increase this values in essbase.properties file in C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\aps\bin directory and in Essbase Administration Services console but it has no effect. This behaviour occur only for one application. Early I has no problem with this.
How this can be fixed?

Please follow the steps below:
1) Add the following parameters to the mod_wl_ohs.conf for APS within the aps location match section:
WLIOTimeoutSecs 1800
Idempotent OFF
For Example:
<LocationMatch ^/aps/>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WeblogicCluster vm0asazon1112:13080
WLIOTimeoutSecs 1800

Note: mod_wl_ohs.conf file is located in <drive>:\<Oracle_EPM_Home>\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\httpConfig\ohs\config\OHS\ohs_component directory.
Make a back up copy of the mod_wl_ohs.conf file before editing.
2) Save the mod_wl_ohs.conf
3) Restart Reporting and Analysis Framework - Web Application
4) Restart Oracle Process Manager (ohsInstancexxxxxxxxxx)

Essbase Error 1051085

We have a situation where application admin users cannot open a FR report because of the error:
5201:Unexpected error creating query to datasource in createCubeViews:
Error: Error getting object[App\App_Name\Cube\Plan\SV\1051085 [1033]
Native: 1051085 Unrecognized resource id 1024 [Cannot get variable. Essbase Error(1051085): You do not have sufficient access to get this substitution variable.]]
The user has admin access to the application and server access to the essbase server.
This report uses a subvar which is created at the application level.

There is an indirect fix in Service Fix 11.1.1.3.516, Patch 11930933
The reason for this behavior is that when the ADM tries to retrieve substitution variables from Essbase, the APS driver uses some APIs that require Administrator privilege, but the native driver does not. ( i.e use APIs).
Solution
Workaround:
Amend the following line in the fr_global.properties:
from
UseEssbaseEDS=1
To
UseEssbaseEDS=0
Then Restart FR services and open the reports again.

EIS and Essbase Error Number 1030011

Hi Guys, Please help if you have seen this issue before using Drill Through Reports on EIS and Essbase. Using Essbase 6.5 and EIS 7.0 Version. Created a Drill Through Report and trying to do it from Excel. Essbase Error 1020023

User has an Excel Smartview workbook with Balance Sheet on one tab and income Statement on the other. Income Statement refreshes without error but attempting to refresh the Balance sheet gives Essbase Error 1020023-Multiple Reports per retrieval is not supported. Any help in working past this error would be appreciated.

Have you selected the grid to make it multi-grid? You need to select the Excel range to retrieve data to make it multi-grid.
To create a multiple-grid worksheet:
1 In Excel, connect to an Essbase data source.
2 From any location in the worksheet, select a range of cells (You must select a range rather than only
one cell).
3 From the Smart View Panel, right click an application, and then select Ad Hoc Analysis.
4 When prompted to change the worksheet to support multiple grids, select Yes.
5 To create a second grid on the worksheet:
a. Select a different range of cells.
b. From the Smart View Panel, right click an application, and then select Ad Hoc Analysis.
6 Repeat step 5 as necessary to add grids to the worksheet.

If you have moved the server to a new data center and an issue has started occurring then it could point to the change.
Are you able to log into essbase directly with Maxl using the same account?
If you run a registry report do you see any of the configuration with IPs instead of DNS/hostname
